Hello, hello and welcome to jasonnuland.com I've already done this introduction and then I realized that the video wasn't working, well it wasn't recording. The audio is recording but the video wasn't recording. So yeah, you missed out on a whole thing where I was showing you my two different pairs of glasses.
In fact I've got three or three different pairs of glasses but I don't know where my reading glasses are because since I've had the glasses I've not read anything unless it's on a computer. What you want to know how I got my hair to look so amazing? Well what you have to do if you want to get your hair looking like this you have to get old and over time the reseeding the reseedation whatever you want to call it will eventually make it look like you put a wig on. It's not a wig it's real
hair look it's a little weird it's really hair and I touch it really softly so it doesn't fall off now it's real hair look if you can see I do have a bald patch at the back Why am I telling you this? Well first of all it's because I'm I'm being vulnerable I'm being vulnerable to you so yeah hi this is let me bore you to sleep please only listen when you can safely close your eyes if I've not already said that Finny's on the floor he's happy Today is Thursday the 24th of September 2026
I think it's I don't remember when I I think the 20th is the last time I did a recording which would have been Sunday wouldn't it or Monday 20th 21st Tuesday 22nd Wednesday no it'd be Sunday 21st on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd on Wednesday Thursday today 24th okay I mean normally I do a recording every day I say normally but you know on on like a regular sort of time yeah maybe I should shave my neck I don't know you know what someone said to me yesterday a neighbour actually came up to me I
don't think she came up to me specifically for this reason but she was walking through the park and she was on the way home and because we live in the same building I guess it makes sense to walk in the same direction um it's hard to avoid people isn't it if they live where you live especially if they live in the same flat so she said I hope this doesn't sound rude but stay out of my underwear drawer no she didn't say that she said I hope this doesn't sound rude but if your beard gets
a little bit longer you look just like Santa Claus I said how is that not supposed to sound rude I'm only 35 years old I mean wow I was 35 when I started making videos and recordings and stuff you know that we're doing it for 20 years in January it will be 21 21 years 21 years yours as people like to say yours wow think of all the things I could have done all the interesting things I could have done in that time so here's what I've been doing here's what not the 21 years but
here's what I've been doing lately is oh I've got to say a big thank you to Kim for your Paypal gift thank you thanks I really appreciate it I did send a thank you to your email but the thing is with the Paypal app I don't know if it actually sends the messages or not and if you're not on my Facebook group then it's it's quite hard to send a message but I'm always grateful any Paypal gifts I get I'm grateful and I try and remember to mention it in the video and when I'm doing
regular videos then normally you'd hear it the next day or even the same day depending yeah I'll be working on my website and because I'm using ChatGPT work I keep running out of credits I guess I mean I'm paying I paid 24 whatever it is a month for the pro but I don't have 200 dollars or 200 pounds a month to pay I don't have that no so I pay the 200 I pay the 20 a month and it's really good I mean it's built me a whole website with thousands of pages and I'm getting
I should open this up let me show you I just don't want too much of a glare on my spectacles if I open up the laptop right I'm going to close this so you can't see me putting my code one four seven three oh that's weird very hard to do when I can't actually see what I'm doing right um so I've got the analytics analytics I'm not sure how to say that word it's A-N-A-L and then Y-T-I-C-S is it analytics or is it analytics anyway since I um was last Thursday the 17th is when I
actually released the website when I kind of changed my domain from my other website to this website the jasonnuland.com so I changed it over last Thursday and since that time I've had roughly over 500 let's have a look over 523,000 page views so yeah I mean yesterday I had 60 no I didn't yesterday I had 36,703 and it variates um the highest one I've had is 148,128 but that was on the Friday but I did kind of promote it a bit I sort of told everyone I was walking down the street people people were running
a bit like oh no it's that bloke talking about his website again I don't know if you can hear the fridge has just come on or the freezer I don't know if it's the fridge or the freezer it might be the freezer but I've got a fridge and a freezer just in front of the desk still there still waiting to hear from the kitchen people when they're going to come and do the kitchen so I've been living out of but half out of the kitchen half out of the living room for the last two weeks
or whatever so far just waiting to hear from them it'll be good when it's uh I mean I'm not looking forward to the process of them coming in and ripping out the kitchen and me trying to control Vinny and that whole process but definitely it'll be nice when it's done so anyway every now and then the fridge or freezer just like starts humming doesn't well it hasn't got it doesn't get armed does it but it you know just makes that weird noise which is why I'd never I can never have a fridge in my bedroom
but why would you want a fridge in your bedroom JJ? I'm talking about in the past when I used to live in just one room which was most of my adult life before I moved here I moved here in 2015 when I was 44 and well 44 and eight months previous to that from the age of 15 I mainly just lived in rooms well not from the age of I guess my whole life really apart from when I was in the kids home I used to live in a dormitories with lots of other kids but
with the actual I lived yeah I mean there's a couple of times I lived in a flat when I was 16 for a year which is above the chip shop so I had two rooms and then I lived with a friend but I was sharing so I didn't have two rooms for myself I had one room to myself and I used to share the living room shared bathrooms pretty much most of the time during my adult life apart from when I had my studio flats so I had three of those and I had also I
had another studio in back in 1990 so there's four studios I've had which had my own bathroom and and a little kitchen a tiny little kitchen thing but I didn't even when I had the flat at 16 I didn't have the bathroom to myself because the customers could use it not ideal and then in oh I got excited I did have an en-suite in 2011 for a year till 2012 but I still had to share the bath no I didn't have to share the bathroom so I had to en-suite but shared the kitchen what I
should have done is got myself a fridge freezer and just you know because basically I didn't really cook there for a year I just ate sandwiches from Gregg's and then at the weekends I would get a pizza on a Saturday night in the evening and I well on Saturday night in the evening I don't know why I said that twice and on Sunday I would go to KFC and just just inhale as much as it as I can oh it's so nice that's how I lived for a year occasionally I'd eat out and get a
meal and stuff but I didn't yeah I used to take home I might sort of get a like a cheese toastie and a coffee for lunch and then I'd have some milk in the fridge and I'd have my breakfast before going to bed to bed to work now if I just got myself a fridge and a microwave that would have been enough for me or freezer fridge freezer and a microwave I could have had you know frozen meals in the microwave would have just been a lot cheaper would save me a lot of money and
better in a way but I just didn't like the idea of having a fridge freezer humming because back then I used to be really sensitive pretty sensitive sleeper but not anymore and you know there was a time when what was that that's interesting it's not really but I've got two bottles of water both the same make one is way taller than the other one how unusual how unusual you might think well what's unusual about that some things are taller than other things I don't mean it in that way like oh it's taller what I do
but I thought because this 500 milliliters milligrams milliliters I can't see what that one is but in order to get to it I'm going to have to stretch and I don't like uh no can't be bothered so there so yeah today so far on my statistics statistics or analytics is I always used the word statistics but I've had 19,003 page views so I'm probably looking at probably 30 or 40 by the end of the day yeah YouTube I've been I've been doing quite a few things actually on ChatGPT and there's been a few things that
I've been looking at and what I'm going to do now the problem I think he's having a little wink one of the problems I've had is I've been using work because on ChatGPT you've got um if you open up a new page let's have a look new chat chat and work now with work if I click on that it says you're out of work usage for now upgrade or add credits to keep using work now or wait for your usage to reset on Saturday so if I click add credits hopefully it won't just add credits
without checking with me okay add credits let's see how much they charged add credits wow no wow it's gone straight to um pay I just wanted to see isn't that weird it's showing the the page how much it costs and it's gone straight to pay I know it hasn't it's just gone down the page at the bottom of the page wow so choose credit amount $20 for 500 credits $40 for 1000 credits $1,000 for 2500 credits and it also gives the opportunity it's very very kind of it gives you the option to turn on auto
reload so when your balance reaches five dollars you automatically buy $40 in credits that's way that's one way to use up my rent money in it blimey no so let's go back let's see with the upgrade what's the option there upgrade 20 us dollars that's what I'm on now my current plan but if they add tax I'm sure it's four dollars tax unlock the full experience so this is I imagine most people use chat gpt they use it for free and I pay for it because what I need to do on it well I need
I need to use the paid service although you can do a lot on the free service as well um so your current my current plan advanced models advanced image creation with thinking and coding expanded memory across chats work agent for multi-task or multi-step tasks and codex agent for coding expanded deep research projects and custom gps gpts and then you've got wow that's weird the pro oh there's a different options see the pro how weird that's very strange it's a hundred pound or a hundred dollars a month now it used to be I'm sure used to
be two hundred dollars but it says 5x then you've got 20x but it's not even opening that one up I guess you have to buy the 5x first and then you know increase after that if you need it upgrade to pro five times more usage than plus frontier pro model maximum access to codex agent maximum access to work agent unlimited core chat unlimited and faster image creation maximum memory and context and early access to experimental features um so I'm guessing 20 times would be what four hundred dollars a month if five times is a hundred
see all plans let me see it might show me that oh it's not oh so you got the plus but you've also got a go there's a plan called go I'm not sponsored by chat gpt by the way but if you would like to sponsor me I'm quite happy for you to do so go eight US dollars a month basically allows you to keep chatting with expanded access core model more messages and uploads more image creation longer memory and expanded voice mode um there's far more as I'm aware you can get you get a lot
more on the free free one as now anyway but yeah it's a shame they can't do it where you can just well I suppose I could just add some credits what was the credit add credits but what were the credits because I don't know how many credits I get for the 20 it's just hard to know what that would be you know what's use so if I bought um okay so 20 I guess 20 is what I'm paying for I'm paying for 500 credits so if I pay another 20 I get double double bubble I
suppose the thing is 4080 that's like oh you get 2500 credits if you pay 100 but if you're paying 44,000 80 would give you 2000 at 20 for the 500 as 100 so you're not saving a 10 10 why are they doing that why are they lying to me because based on that 100 would give you 2500 credits if you paid for them the other way if you pay for the by 20 pounds or by 40 pounds you're still going to get 2500 credits wow view rate card my view rate card what does it tell
me by the way um if anyone's wondering is this supposed to be boring yeah it is it is supposed to be boring um it's kind of like if I was gonna rename if I was going to give this podcast a name I would call it let me bore you to sleep catching I did that well that's what I would call it because it is just like just me chatting this podcast is how many years old is it I started in March 2018 19 20 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 so it's eight years
over eight years eight years and eight and a half years I counted the months on my thing the other hands hands hand so eight and a half years is that right 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 wow 19 20 21 how can it be eight and a half years it just it just seems like a long time mind you I have made quite a few recordings so if you look at the where is it where's my podcast oh there it is I have done 1684 let me bore you to sleep recordings so this
is 1685 so getting on to the 1700 mark however if I look at the I can actually tell you how many hours can you believe this as you tell you how many hours okay okay okay right okay I've been going through and counting my recordings individual recordings not the ones that have music or everything just specific voice only original recordings and um got nearly getting towards 3 000 altogether I've definitely got at least 2 458 um so 100% get 22 500 but there's another yeah maybe 2 500 2 600 all together um but with the
let me bore you to sleep ones oh come on I'm giving the exact amount of hours I've done the relax and hate hypnosis for stress anxiety and panic attacks there's blimey that's a lot 146 hours 57 minutes just for that one podcast that no one listens to blimey that's a lot isn't it there's 236 actual episodes but 146 hours all right so if I go to let me bore you to sleep they should come up let me bore your pain away 40 hours and 18 minutes 43 recordings of that one uh let me bore you
to sleep let me bore you to sleep so here we go so let me bore you to sleep 1666 actual recordings what did I say 1666 1684 so I've lost a few along the way but it's not up to date it still needs a few updated ah yeah there's a few missing but from what I've looked at the one felt I wonder why it's there surely there should be more than that okay so I've probably got 10 to 15 missing over the years just because they've lost or computer's broken or whatever or didn't have backups
or the podcast got removed that's happened a few times it's crazy and so I've got one according to this this is based on 1666 actual recordings there's 2149 hours 49 minutes and 47 seconds seconds and that would take 80 if you want to listen if you listen to my let me bore you to sleep we call call-ins continuously it would take 89 days 13 hours and 50 minutes of continuous audio wow and after I went through all of the the recordings I mentioned it didn't I we've got um 2458 hours that's of all the other
stuff as well which would be blimey that's a lot wow so yeah I'll be that's what I've been doing I've been there's this potential potential opportunity using my recordings that I'm looking into and I'm going to what to start with I need to go and organize all my recordings which I'm in the process of doing I mean not literally right now but you know and it's taken a long time because well as you can imagine thousands of recordings there's duplicates there's also um also thousands of recordings that are like with music as well so I
have to kind of separate those and one of my hard drives broke so I've only got two now like external hard drives I'm looking for a a cloud drive to put some stuff on but the cloud drives are quite expensive although I've found one which looks like it might do the job but um I think they're charging something like 40 pound a terabyte or something 30 pound a terabyte it's like pay-as-you-go so I'll just see what happens just see what happens I need it's okay because at the moment I've got two two hard drives but
they're both pretty they're nearly full but they're not copies of each other if that makes sense so I think all together I've got I think 12 terabytes of audio so I need to get another hard drive they're expensive as well I can't believe I mean they're probably cheaper than they used to be you get more for less money than 15 years ago because that's the thing one of my hard drives or one that broke I think I got that in about 2012 so thanks Mrs. T I think Mrs. T got me that one so it's
kind of it'd be good to get a hard drive I might be I'll put on my Amazon list just in case anyone wants to help I just um the thing is I didn't realize until it happened until the hard drive I had broke down and I couldn't get it working I did get it working in the end but it was like I had to kind of stand on one leg and the other leg out the window and just I don't know why I said that but if you see my body you know that it's impossible
I just what it kind of almost like it was um it's broken that it was half open they're not supposed to be open it's an electrical equipment you're not supposed to have it open but I've dropped it on the floor so many times and I knew there was well it took a day to transfer that stuff or more than a day to transfer it onto the other hard drives that's how much stuff there was on there there was a lot I managed to do it thankfully so there's nothing left on that hard drive and that's
going in the bin that's gone in the bin but ideally I need everything backed up on two hard drives one that that is just packed away that I never look at you know safely so just do the let me boy to sleep or have a cut off now where everything up to October or the end of September 2026 is now all on there or just one for the let me boy to sleep recordings up to October 2026 or maybe there's enough room to take it to the end of the year and then store it away
in fact store both of them away and then start again with a new hard drive well another two hard drives probably because I need to have a double have a backup and the other hard drive is the hypnosis stuff so it's I mean it's not a bad problem bad problem to have maybe because it means that I have I've been creative I've been productive and hopefully along the way help people with the hypnosis stuff and board people with my exciting voice but at the same time I've kind of created a lot of stuff there's a
lot and there's also a lot of old stuff as well which I don't want to get rid of I really don't and there's a lot of stuff videos for example that I I do have videos as well um the old YouTube videos but I lost most of my YouTube videos when I deleted my YouTube account in 2013 I think it was 2012 luckily I had some saved and I've saved most of the stuff I've done since then but I've been quite a few years where I didn't really make any videos in fact I haven't made
regular videos like this for really since 2012 I mean I went through I did still make videos after 2012 I made videos 2015 when I moved in here I made a video a couple of days back you know four days ago I think but it's not a lot it's not something I've been doing regularly making videos I've been doing the podcasts which then get uploaded to YouTube which then becomes a video but it's just a blank screen you know just of me going blah blah blah blah blah but an actual live video of me on
the screen um I haven't really done that for a long time and part of the reason that is because the dogs will be barking but now the summer's near an end and there seems to be a little bit less noise and I feel I'm kind of getting things organized now you know and even the process of transferring the file onto the laptop and then uploading all that long like six seven hour process I think I've managed to shorten it so it shouldn't take too long to first of all upload the video and then then I
have to add the audio because the audio is being recorded separately and then I use CapCut to make the video but it's going to be very basic as in well it's no special effects I mean I suppose I could try and make myself look more human but what's the point if you if you've watched my videos before you know what I look like you know that yes that's what okay part of the reason why I don't usually show my face on the videos is because um I was gonna say oh no that's terrible wow my
brain just turned into a horror movie so so you don't close your eyes because you might think I'm gonna just put my hand through the screen which is weird and that's poltergeist why are poltergeists called poltergeists you think it'd be polterghost wouldn't you because they're ghosts anyway I mean I joke about being super sexy on my podcasts my audio podcasts and it's kind of like I think people think I'm just joking and you see me on the screen you realize oh he wasn't joking he really is um he's a like a carry-on character I don't
know what they used to do in the carry-on movies so if you don't know what a carry-on movie is it is it's probably the most English thing you can find one of the most English movies you will ever find uh from the 50s 60s and 70s um not just because it was like British humour but you can see stuff the the streets the roads the the houses the the whole scene I know a lot of it would have been done in a studio you know in a film studio but they did quite a lot of
filming outside as well and you can just see what it was like in those days you know hardly any traffic on the roads especially the 50s 60s 50s especially and I love the I love the carry-on movies not all of them there's a I think in near the end it got maybe I didn't yeah I didn't the the one they did in the 90s I tried to watch it but for me it just didn't have I think they should have kept it going right but do what they did do so from the 50s to the
70s they would introduce a new character or a new actor rather because they'd have the same actors in the movies um Sidney James nearly always seemed to play Sid I don't know if he just couldn't remember his name in as an actor so he just just called him Sid but he he had Kenneth Williams is it Joan Sims um Barbara Windsor although she wasn't in that many movies actually but she was one of the most popular um Kenneth Moore this there's lots that were in the movies Terry from Terry and June he was in about
six Frankie Howard was in a few so what they did is they introduced different characters as they went along because the original cast in 1954 was not the same but some of them were but you know a lot of the cast in the 70s were new people that come along so they could have just continued that during the 80s so when they did a movie in the 90s you'd still have yeah you wouldn't have Sid James because he wasn't around anymore Kenneth Williams was still around in the 90s they could have had him although he
might have I'm not sure if he was yeah he was around in the 90s part of it anyway but they could have had um Ronnie Barker Ronnie Ronnie Corbett why did I mean I don't know if Ronnie Corbett was ever in any of the carry-on movies but Ronnie Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett they would have been perfect in fact even the Monty Python team would have probably been really good I know it probably was not like that their kind of thing but yeah they were doing their own thing I suppose it was but it's still
I liked I like carry-on movies I do I remember I lived in this place this one had the studio don't studio I had the en suite 125 pounds a week could not afford it but I was you know kicked out where I was living so I just it's the only place I could find in that time but my dad he gave me the money to move in gave me the deposit and everything it's embarrassing I was a 40 was a yes 40 years old I really should pay him back I thought well either I pay
him back or just avoid him until he forgets so I'm just waiting for him to forget it's so yeah that that was um when I moved in there there was one lady lady living downstairs because I was at the top of the house there was a couple living opposite me in the other the other en suite place and there was a couple living right below me and there was a man living in the smaller room so yeah they said it was downstairs was full three people or four including a couple upstairs someone a couple opposite
me and me and then a young a student moved into the other one he was from I think he's from Barbados or somewhere and he let me test out his hot sauce because his mom used to send hot sauce like a box full of hot sauces and it burnt a hole in my mouth honestly he found it hilarious but um it's really weird because there was a lady that lived there but she also had all the keys to the rooms and she was a cleaner for the landlord so she used to go around the different
houses and clean so she would moan about the toilets being messy now I'm sure she didn't do that in the other houses where she was just the cleaner because she lived in that house she'd be telling everyone off like we was her little children or something luckily I didn't use the toilets downstairs because I have my own toilet so oh can you hear the dog barking now so I yeah so the bloke oh downstairs the man moved out who was next to the woman and then these a couple of they're from Poland it's not really
relevant but it it kind of is in a sense because I think um they were listening like all the time they were listening they're watching carry-on movies and I think they were listening to it so they can kind of um learn the language better so that you know so I guess I could have said they're from China it doesn't really matter but um I used to love hearing because I used to play it like oh love it because they had them on videos or something or dvds but the neighbor kept complaining to me saying I
can't believe all they do is listen to carry-on movies or watch carry-on movies it's like yeah you know I kind of didn't want to tell her but she's telling she's moaning at the wrong person because I love carry-on movies and I always always have always will not going to change even when I'm 97 I'm still going to love watching carry-on movies especially at Christmas time they put them on one after another like I watch them I'm not all the time not always in the mood it's like anything you know I'm not always in mood for
everything always like I love easter eggs but I don't want to eat an easter egg every day which is a bit of a lie I can't eat easter eggs every day because I'm diabetic now that's also a lie I mean I can still do it would it be wise probably not but have I ever been wise though probably not oh so and I thought if that was your only real way of learning another language by English say to learn English they obviously knew English but it was they were trying to improve their English listening to
a carry-on movie I'm not sure how how that would uh I don't know because it's quite strange it was quite old it's very old kind of um I said I mean they haven't made a carry-on movie since that proper carry-on movie since the 70s 77 or 79 or maybe earlier and I'm just thinking some of the mannerisms and stuff would not I just like the way I say it like like you know you can't you can't do that anymore in public I learned recently you can't you can't some of the things that people used to
do in the streets like wolf whistling and stuff which is I think it's actually illegal now I mean I tried to test it out but I can't whistle for I can't whistle for toffee it's a weird expression isn't it now who's going to walk up to you say would you like a toffee if you whistle I give you a toffee no can't whistle for toffee that's just came into my memory very strange I've been watching big brother big brother um I don't want to go into details I do want to go into details but I'm
not going to big brother has seems to have triggered a new fantasy in my brain it's a a new a new a new fetish just like popped up which is weird but yeah big brother I'm glad it's back I'm I'm enjoying it actually the characters are good the the women are the best part of the show I mean really apart from the Scouser Liverpool I can't remember his name but he's funny I reckon he's probably going to win it because he's just yourself it doesn't take sides he doesn't well he does really but he kind
of you know I think he's he's going to win it but the the real kind of the conflict and the arguments and stuff is coming from the females between the females I mean apart from links he's kind of got involved as well but there's a there's a there's a a lady in there and well she's not the only one but whenever she tells the story or what's just the conversation she's had she manipulates it so it makes the other person look even worse than before I mean the other person would look bad anyway probably but
she's manipulated missed out specific things I'm trying to think of an example to tell you um oh yeah so she said to her it was there's this young girl she's she's got her limbs basically and this lady came up to her and sat down and said I just got to tell you and I feel really bad about this and she didn't need to tell her she didn't but she she I don't know why she chose to tell her and I really really felt bad when I saw I got a real phobia of people with missing
limbs and when I saw you I freaked out and I feel awful about it and you're lovely and so she was she was apologizing right from the start about what she was about to tell her shouldn't have told her what she told her I mean even I know and I rarely say the right thing but even I know there's like don't as they say in America don't go there and I heard one person say it once and he actually he was from Sweden but don't go there what's that they used to say on um those
shows they're not on anymore are they are they on in America anymore you know like the um the Ricky Lake show and the all those shows where they get people the weirdest kind of situational like someone that's married to their sister's husband's ferret or whatever and having an affair with a gnome from the space you know it's like some kind of weird story and nearly every episode you just hear the story you hear the sentence I need to tell you something you didn't know before but I'm a man you know and he'd have to because
he was on national television he had to pretend to be surprised you know the fact is that's why he was with her and is a lot of uh what's the name tests you know DNA not DNA tests yeah well yeah birth tests to see if their baby had actually been born or whatever and there used to be quite a few of those in America we had similar-ish ones in the 90s in this country but they're very usually quite mild fairly mild compared to the American ones and then we had um what's his name I forget
oh what was his name I forget his name I have to look it up because um chat show Jeremy Kyle I didn't even look up it Jeremy Kyle didn't get a chance to type it in it came into my brain Jeremy Kyle he was the closest to the American ones like the extreme where people would be fighting on the stage and stuff like that um why am I talking about these shows I can't remember oh yeah uh the American ones I used to hear sayings that we didn't have in this country in it some of
those sayings took on like kick him to the curb kick him to the curb he's just a dog he said kick him to the curb like a dog um and over years over the time there's I hear young people sometimes younger people which is most people talking in just saying things that I used to hear years ago on the American shows like uh is my baby mama or my baby dada my baby daddy my baby daddy do you mean the father of your child yeah my baby daddy baby daddy I mean is it complicated to
put a whole sentence together my baby daddy my baby mama baby mama baby daddy and there's someone in Big Brother at the moment who's um he's got I guess it's just where he's been raised and he's around people speaking this way but he keeps saying fam yeah fam which is short for famine or something I don't know I think he's mentioning famine for something yeah fam and um more my d's all my d's that's another one he says and uh he hasn't said man then man then yet so that's that's that's surprising um what else
swear down he said swear down um um it's all those kind of terms that don't really mean anything they just it's I guess it's just an extension to you're right you're right you know I mean in it that kind of stuff that perhaps I used to do when I was uh in my 20s and stuff because when I in East London I used to call it East London or Stratford now it's the ends it's not east the east and it's the ends so is North London the North's South London South's West the West's maybe you've
actually got gangs based in streets I thought wow that amazes me so people are going to school like when I leave when I used to leave school we used to just leave school walk together and would all be in the same kind of I suppose you say catchment area didn't have those these terms went around when I was young you kind of all be living in the same kind of area and we didn't be at war with the person down around the corner you know yeah Bartholomew Avenue one of the gangs from Bartholomew Avenue it's
like no we're just people we did have a little period when there was a gangs see when the Wanderers and the Warriors was out and I think they'd already been out for a while but the um the kids at school discovered the Wanderers and decided that we're all going to be in gangs so one was the Wanderers and one was the one the Warriors I think you might have had the Wongs but that no I don't think there was it sounds wrong doesn't it but that Wongs that was a one of the gangs were the
Wongs and then there's the Baldies so the Wanderers the Baldies the Warriors that was a different that's a different film but um yeah there was no it sounds wrong saying the name but that was their name the Wongs and they were like doing martial arts and stuff and the oh what was there there was a there's one gang that were really strange he should just stay in there oh wait a minute no that's just queuing there's someone queuing to get into a cinema I'm getting muddled up with my memories do you know some people actually
sit outside all night long to get tickets to go and see a show did you know that wow so I no one wanted me to be in their gang because it's hard to believe I wasn't that popular so I wanted to be on in action because I loved the Wanderers I've never seen the movie but I like this I like the song I'm a type of guy who would never settle down I'm never in one place I roll from town to town I'm the Wanderer yeah the Wanderer I rolled around around around around around so
what I did is I started my own gang called the Silverhawks I don't know why I called it the Silverhawks and the thing is because I'd been in the it used to be called the Dunces class it would have been now would have been special needs probably but I was in the Dunces class for a few lessons a week where we'd just be taken out of our classes or doing maths actually and put into this big room on our own there'd be about 12 of us 15 of us and we'd just play games fight I
don't know just mess around pretend to get married just stuff like that so I knew some of the rough kids so what I did is I got all of us together in a gang and the idea was just supposed to be fun you know like everyone else just supposed to be fun now that message didn't get to one of my friends in the gang and someone kind of started on him but I think it was in a I don't know if it was in a jokey way or the I don't know but anyway it didn't
end good for the other other kid and the the um not the prime minister the head teacher called us all into the assembly room and stood up on the stage and said no more gangs that's it not allowed and everyone had to stop which is annoying because I just got jackets made another merchandise I hadn't but it was like wow just because because I thought for me I thought the gangs were actually going to fight but they weren't they weren't doing it it was just like playing but my friend didn't play and nothing bad but
he just you know they all banned when I was about 12 probably went to my uncle's in Kent favorite uncle absolutely brilliant and it was really really successful we had a massive house and we went around um he had a nice garden but I didn't like to go out there in case he wanted me to cut the lawn so we we was he had a jukebox and a pool table so we were playing a pool table and cooking was being done in the kitchen and it was you know it's like little cubby holes that you
open up and say dinner's ready you know that I mean you don't have to use it for that reason you've got an option of what you say you know you don't have to sign a contract you can only say dinner's ready or dinner's being served which do you choose well can't I choose it no it's got to be one or the other otherwise we can't sell it to you no that's not true but we kept playing on the jukebox the wanderer now we didn't have to put any money in because it was well it wasn't
a business it was in his house he wasn't trying to make money imagine how tight that would be imagine going around someone's house and you have to pay to play pool or you have to pay to play the jukebox not that I've been around anyone's house that's him that has a jukebox nobody nobody in the world it's the only person ever that I've ever known I have seen jukeboxes it's not like I've never seen a jukebox I have but like in pubs and stuff but I've never actually used a jukebox in well I've never seen
one in another person's house anyway we got in trouble so my uncle very very calm laid back loose relaxed he'd had enough of listening to the wanderer's song and he came in he said that's it no more yes uncle we all said I'd like to say in unison but we didn't it wasn't I mean they said it quite close to each other and I said it on the way home on a journey home so I was always a little bit slow but as soon as he'd gone we turned it on again do do do do
I'm the type of guy who never settled down and you say didn't I tell you remember we're one place we go from town to town and for some reason I remember thinking to myself what kind of dessert are we going to get today today because we had sponge yesterday it was okay jelly sponge a bit of ice cream it was all in fact I think it might be an arctic roll which was like this you know like jam roll oh I used to make them when I was at school I used to piss off the
science teacher I used to that's not what you use the bunsen burners for it's not for cooking cakes and I oh I said a naughty word I said I said wee wee I don't normally say naughty words on the record oh I'm turning into a real human I'm turning into a real boy and there's a new Pinocchio out and I watched a bit of it and then I didn't watch any more of it there wasn't really there's not much else to say about that really I mean there's only only so much uh you can say
about a movie that you've only watched 10 minutes of I liked both the Superman and Supergirl movies I don't care what anyone says I like them and I just finished watching the Green Lantern TV show I think I finished it I mean six episodes and it's hard to know if there's going to be another episode because it keeps it ends where you think well that's that's the end it's very strange and it's quite serious but then I suppose when you think about yeah it's a little bit too serious for me because the Green Lantern when
you consider he can create anything with his imagination I personally don't think the Green Lantern or the main character who's supposed to become the Green Lantern well that's not actually true I was going to say not particularly creative he's definitely not humorous I mean his character's very dry and very very serious but he is an artist I guess he's he's got that creativity there but the original Green Lantern Hal Jordan what his name is he's very kind of funny and yeah he's more like it seems I've been more creative as a person but it's hard
isn't it you sleep down to what's inside someone's brain I mean I think sometimes I come across as a bit slow what what we're talking about I forget what we're talking about the jukebox so the jukebox never had a jukebox did have a we had a snooker and a pool table well snooker pool table was the same thing and different balls we had that in our playroom upstairs because when I moved into the we moved into this house I was nine my little brother was a year old or it might not have even been a
year it was about a year and we moved into this old derelict cold haunted horrible just horrible house and but it was big I had um I mean the bedrooms is one two three four five six seven seven bedrooms technically although one would be classed as a box room yeah the one although I my little brother had that and it was perfectly big enough for him as a kid so it's definitely big enough for a kid's room it was a box room but I've lived in box rooms and you can you know there's generally enough
room because after my little brother moved out of there it was used as an office and they also had a solarium in there you know a sunbed so it's big enough to have a sunbed in there also an exercise bike running machine not at the same time they were stacked on top of each other no I don't know but I think the the bicycle was foldable I think yeah I think so but the solarium that must have took to go quite a bit of the room and there was a desk in there as well and
a chair and when my problem yeah when my little brother lived in there he had I'm pretty sure he had um I think he didn't have bunk beds but he had a high bed and underneath there was like stuff you know drawers and just you know that place for his toys and yeah so he had yeah it was very very organized when I moved in there actually I did have my own bedroom so I went from having a small bedroom of my own which I was happy with to quite a big bedroom on my own
again because we all had our own bedrooms and it was light in there and I'm sure during my period living there I had blue wood chip wallpaper and yellow well it's just a different color but it had it blue and yellow or yellow then blue that's one memory but I might it might have just been blue on one wall and yellow the other wall I don't know but it was definitely it was um like I wouldn't say pastel but light very light blue and light yellow and there'd be nothing blocking the sun apart from the
things that were blocking the sun um I don't think I mean we did have a big peach tree not a big peachy tree but a big peach tree you say a nice big peachy tree it sounds almost erotic doesn't it but peach tree and I used to really dread when it was like when the peach started laying its eggs the peach tree I was like oh no because I couldn't stand peaches I mean first of all they're just well I never liked them as fruit you could say well what else can you have them as
I mean you can't exactly fry them and pretend it's bacon I know I'm not saying that but um what are you gonna pretend it's a it's a duck and put it in your bath no what if they would float do you ever should do that with a duck uh like a yellow I don't want to have to be yellow but a yellow duck in the bath and put it under your thighs and then open your thighs and then just watch it jump out of the water and like get really excited about how far it will
jump out of the water and I used to I used to believe maybe wrongly maybe rightly I don't know but the longer I used to hold it underwater the higher up it would pop well it didn't easily pop but the higher it would jump out of the water when I got released it didn't all that happened is the water got very cold and I missed my dinner and half a day of school so yeah it's it's not really worth it but it made sense and I started thinking well if I had a deeper bath then
I thought well that's not very safe is it I need to have armbands and you know you know the blowy up ones if I was in a bath that was deeper I had swimming lessons see if it was acceptable it might sound weird you know if if I could go to a swimming pool a public swimming pool and they turned the lights off so I could get into the not the whole time just so I can get into the water then turn the lights back on again and then it depends if I could wear a
t-shirt yeah or a vest or something and also you know something downstairs as well I'm not talking about being I just I don't want to be naked like from the top up generally it's bad enough like when I've got into the shower here or got out of the bath and there's a mirror just opposite me like gives me a fright although I can't fit in the bath anymore without getting stuck ha ha ha do you know those um things I don't know if you can still buy them but the octopuses and you chuck them against
the wall and they just slide down one by one tentacle by tentacle that's my bum in the bath just sticks now I'm not saying that if you chuck me against the wall that I my bum would stick to the wall but it's just it does I'm too big to get into a bath now I mean I used to be able to swim in a bath when I was about 24 I could no I couldn't my friend he's not my friend anymore because he he was my friend until he realized what I was like he he
used to have this bath which was like a jacuzzi it was the same size as a large jacuzzi but it wasn't a jacuzzi I don't think it was just a bath but the same size as a jacuzzi and I was like brilliant such a brilliant bath you just stretch out because I'm not particularly tall I'm not I'm only four foot two so yeah I could stretch out I didn't get stuck now I'd probably get to be fair now it's a bit like if you go into a kid's school well all schools are for kids really
don't they but um I remember going into my goddaughter's school when they were like young and couldn't believe this the chairs were tiny and it's a little bit like that now when I go in just a normal chair I sometimes say oh my why is it was such a tiny chair here I can hardly fit my bum in it and I realize it's actually just a normal chair it turns into some comedy sketch and I'm walking around the rest of the day with this chair stuck to me and it looks funny on a movie it's
not funny in reality especially when your circulation cuts off and you need a toilet yellow or blue yellow or blue with the not the toilet paper the wallpaper and there was this chip chip chop chip chipped wood there's like just little bits of wood like little splinters all around I used to like pick pick them it was nice and I actually had out of my brother yeah I probably had the it was a big room my little brother had it after me and I moved upstairs to a smaller room but I preferred the room upstairs
because it was further away from everyone I didn't want to move from my room I love my room my big room why would I move out of a big room to a tiny room so I went from a big room with the sun shining in to a room okay you get this right the window was facing a wall the only room in the entire house where the window was facing a wall there was no sunlight coming in other than just the basic sunlight why would there be a window why would anyone have a window facing
a wall unless that house was there first and then the next door house was built afterwards absolutely I couldn't believe it but I quite liked it because that was the period that I kind of got into karate and uh just I don't know I like that room so basically what happened is my little brother moved into my room because he was getting bigger and he had more toys I my second brother up he stayed in his room my oldest brother moved into the games room so that was a big room so we no longer had
a play group yeah my little brother ruined things again so we no longer had a play room anymore to play in like could play snooker table tennis things we used to play were you rich JJ it wasn't about being rich it's just um I had a friend who said that to me once he said you're rich why are you always moaning I used to moan even when I was like nine I was moaning about things you're always moaning I said I'm not moaning he said yeah you are I said you're moaning right now he said
true he said you're rich I said I'm not rich I said what money do you see on me I got no money he said no but you've got a snooker table I said but I'm no good at playing snooker but you got a tennis table but it fits over the snooker table so not a separate thing but you still got it you got a massive garden yeah I have to cut with a lawnmower I should have said with scissors just to prove a point but I didn't think that quickly in fact I only just thought
of it it's 45 years later and I I said well the difference is you've got a happy house it's the thing is he he got on really well with his brothers his mum was amazing and he was happy he had a happy childhood happy house you know and he lived in a small house we lived in a huge house we were always arguing and we were constantly in the garden and digging and helping to rebuild the house it wasn't fun living there so it was all right sometimes but birthdays were good I'd give that to
him birthdays and Christmas really good birthdays and Christmas there's no oh there's someone screaming in the garden oh well um yeah birthdays and Christmas lots of presents right I've got kids screaming in the garden now so I better probably wind this down um because I'll be told I can't chuck fish at them anyway can't chuck wet fish at them the council told me so I'm gonna go thanks for listening and watching and all six versions of this recording will be available on my podcasts so thank you for listening remember to be kind to yourself because
you deserve to be happy be gentle of yourself you deserve to feel safe lots of love bye
