Hello, welcome to Jason Newland.com My name is Jason Newland and this is a deep sleep whisper session. Deep sleep whisper, yeah something like that. I suppose I should put ASMR in brackets because it's also that as well.
Today is Sunday the 19th of August 2018. So I'm going to ask you to close your eyes only if it's safe to do so. So of course make sure you're comfortable before you close your eyes.
I should do it in that order really shouldn't I? I should say go and maybe lay down on your bed or in a comfortable chair. You don't have to lie down you can sit up or maybe you want to lie on the floor or sit in an upright chair. It's really your choice.
But ideally do that before you close your eyes. Because I know that if I close my eyes and then try to make it to my bed I'll probably end up banging my toe on the door. So it's a good idea to do it in that order.
So it's really this time the next 20 minutes or 18 minutes it's just an opportunity to relax. It's an opportunity to let go. Because no matter what's happened in your life, during the day, yesterday, whenever or any thoughts you have about tomorrow or the future, you can just allow those thoughts to drip away.
It's as if you've got a tap or a faucet attached to your mind and you just turned it on but just gently. So it doesn't all leave your body and your mind instantly. So all those thoughts don't just disappear but they just gently and slowly drip, drip, drip and that dripping can continue while I talk to you and there isn't anything for you to do except be aware of your comfort and make sure that you stay comfortable.
So if for example you feel the need to change the way that your body is laying or sitting then just do that. There's no rules here. You don't have to be a statue.
I'm not turning you to ice or to stone. This is you being able to just be yourself and to feel comfort in whatever way feels natural to you. Even if it means opening your eyes and going and sitting on a chair or going and laying down on a bed if you're on a chair, just do whatever feels natural so that you can have the maximum sensation of physical comfort and all the while your mind is allowing those drips to continue, allowing the stress, any anxiety, any worries to just drip, drip, drip, drip.
Just being released, giving you more space to relax even more deeply. It could be that feeling of lying in a warm, comfortable bath, feeling safe and that sensation of comfort in all the muscles of your body relaxing. There's a feeling I quite like, it's the feeling of a shower, a powerful shower on the top of my head.
It's like a waterfall and all those nerve endings in the top of my head stimulating relaxation throughout my whole body. Another feeling I quite like is that sense of being in a bath and then pulling the plug out and allowing the water just to slowly drain away and I can feel my body just becoming heavy and relaxed and all the muscles just seem to melt into the bathtub. And it's such a relaxing feeling.
I also like the idea of your bed knowing, just knowing that when you lay down it's time to sleep safely and comfortably. And your body is supported by that bed or by that chair or wherever you are right now. Your body is supported, allowing you to drift and even though you're listening to my words, you'll also be noticing those parts of your body that I have focused on.
Because when I mention your hands, your attention goes to your hands or to your feet, your attention goes to your feet or to your forehead. Your attention drifts to your forehead and your eyes and eyelids and all those muscles, those tiny little muscles surrounding your eyes. Relaxing, feeling more comfort because the only difference between lying on your bed with a relaxed body and lying on your bed with a relaxed body and being asleep, it's just your mind, there's no difference.
You can be laying in the same position as you normally sleep. You can feel completely relaxed all through your body. And the whole time that I've been talking, your mind has been emptying drip by drip, everything slowing down, realizing that there's nothing in your mind that's important enough to get in the way of you enjoying a nice healing, relaxing, deep sleep.
Your mind is not important right now, you can just allow those thoughts to drip, drip, drip, drip and you can just notice that sensation that is so familiar to you. That sensation of beginning to drift into a relaxing, safe, deep sleep. That feeling that takes no effort at all, because you can't force yourself to sleep, you can't force yourself to relax, you can't force yourself to like a particular food that you don't like.
It needs to happen naturally and you just need to give yourself permission to relax deeply and to drift with your permission, let go and allow those feelings to drift. Of comfort, to just drift more and more, further and further, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp, dripp,
