Hello and welcome to Jason Newland.com My name is Jason Newland. This is your deep sleep whisper hypnosis. Please only listen to this when you can safely close your eyes.
Whether you're listening on Spotify or Spreaker or some other podcast or if you're watching on YouTube, please remember to subscribe and maybe leave a comment. Let me know how you get on. So, I just let you know yesterday that I started some new sessions called Short Anxiety Reduction.
So they might be of use to just check my Facebook page or just on my website. They're on my relaxation podcast. So, here we go.
What I was thinking twofold, the idea of having that quiet space where you can go, maybe physically, where everything is just calm, regardless of what's going on in the world, what's going on in your family, in society, in your day-to-day life, you can have that sense of peace. You can enjoy that calmness for that period of time that you're there. And I can see some of those benefits of that.
To have that, not just physically, but to be able to experience that within yourself, wherever you are. It's kind of like being in the center of a storm. And during the center, you're safe, you're comfortable, you're calm, you can relax.
I'm going to assume that you're laying down on your bed, maybe sitting back in a comfortable chair. You may have a big, black, squeaky, reclining chair like I've got. My suggestion is we place it with one that doesn't disturb the birds in the trees.
Sometimes at nighttime, I'll lean back in it. It makes such a squeak. And I hear the birds, the birds in the trees, going, is it time to get up? Bob, is it time to get up? No, Susie, it's not.
It's only like 11.30. What was that then? It sounded like it was a bird, another bird, like squeaking. I don't know. Should we just go back to bed? Okay.
No, no, no. I've got a headache. I'm going to sleep.
I'm going to go and investigate what that chair, oh, the chair, that's what it was. It was Jason's chair. It would have sounded better if you said you were going to go and investigate the sound because you said the chair, you kind of ruined it, didn't you? Yeah, I know, I know.
Anyway, should we get back to the recording? Okay. You sure you don't want to, you know? No, I said I'm going to sleep. Okay.
So, the centre of the storm can be that space where you can just let go of everything. You don't have to think about anything. And again, as we've spoken about in the past weeks that have gone by, when you lay down on your bed, your head touches the pillow, your body feels heavy, your mind starts to slow down and empty.
That sensation is how you feel when you're in that centre of the storm. That instant safety, instant comfort, maybe instant sleep. And you've got these sounds around you.
I don't know if you can hear, but I think the birds are talking about me. That sounds weird, doesn't it? But I can hear the birds in the trees outside. And there's cars in the distance.
And you've got sounds probably where you are. But those sounds are just sounds and they are in a distance. Even if it's a close distance, it's still in a distance.
They're unimportant. They're unimportant. This peaceful feeling that you are experiencing is there for you to enjoy.
To just let go. Because you don't need to think about anything. You don't need to think about anybody.
There's nothing for you to say. There's nothing for you to do. There's nobody for you to talk to.
At this moment, you're in the centre of the storm. The centre of your comfort. And rain and weather and sounds all around.
But it makes no difference to the calmness that you experience in that centre of safety. And that's a much nicer word. The centre of safety.
Because that's something that is underrated. Highly underrated. The importance of the sense and the feeling of safety.
Feeling safe when you're lying in your bed is the most important thing. It's as important as breathing. In order for you to drift off into a deep, healing sleep, you need to be in touch with that sense of safety.
That sense of security within yourself. To know that it's safe to close your eyes. To really know that it's safe for your head to touch the pillow.
For your body to become heavy. And for your mind to slow down and start to empty. It's as if the thoughts start to just fall out of your ears.
Your mind slow and calm and feeling safe. It's so important. Comfort.
Comfort. Calmness. Which leads to creative sleep.
An opportunity to just drift away. An opportunity of feeling safe and secure in your ability to trust yourself enough to let go of everything and enjoy that sensation of complete calmness, lightness, looseness. And you can enjoy the ease with which you have been able to relax your entire body and mind and get into that zone where you've transformed that centre of the storm into the centre of safety.
Feeling safe, filled with comfort, calmness and creative sleep. Safe and secure in your natural ability to be able to trust yourself, to let go of everything, let go of everything, because this sense of safety, to be able to just drift to sleep, is something that you were born with, this is your natural birthright, to be able to just let go and drift off. In safety, comfort, calmness and creative sleep.
Safe and secure in your natural ability that you were born with, to be able to trust yourself, to relax all the muscles of your body and to let go of the thoughts in your mind and to truly relax, truly let go of all those thoughts from the past, truly relax and truly let go of those thoughts about the future, realising that you don't need to do anything, you don't need anything and you don't feel any particular sensations, although safety and being able to relax in the centre of that safety, allows you the comfort and calmness to enjoy creative sleep, with the safety and security in your ability to be able to trust yourself and enjoy that natural sleep that you deserve. See you next time.
