Hello, welcome to jasonluland.com Do you want this Vin? Come on then, get up. Now get on the chair. Do you want it? There you go.

There you go. There you go, look. That's the closest I can do to get Vinny onto the screen.

It's quite warm in there actually. So hey, welcome to let me bore you to sleep. My name is Jason Luland.

Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. Today is the it's Tuesday the 15th of September 2026 and it is 4.38pm. Vinny's having a little drink of water. Why is it so warm? Oh well, I can't have the window open because of the noise, the sound, the sound of the people and the dogs and stuff.

All right, this is I'm wearing a sexy shirt. Well, thank you very much. Very kind of you.

And how come I'm not bored anymore? For those that do think I'm bored, I'm not bored. I'm I've not got as much hair as I once used to have, but I've got a lot more hair than I used to have recently. If that makes sense.

So I started to think because I've been growing it. If you can notice it's a lot longer than it normally is. I think the last time I had it this long was about 2021.

2021 and I had the biggest beard in the world. Some I don't know. I'm not sure if I'm going to go that that big with the beard, but my hair was like out there.

As well. Because I've got very curly hair. But what I'm trying to do is train it to go back.

So I'm kind of brushing it back every day with the hope that it'll stay back. And it might look greasy. That's because it's greasy.

Now it might look it's I'm sweating a little bit in here actually. So that's why. Plus it's greasy.

It's not greasy. And you couldn't fry an egg on my head. Although ironically, when I shaved my head off, I do look like an egg.

So what is this? What is this? And what is that noise in the background? That noise in the background is a fridge. The noise in the background is a fridge and a freezer. I can't really show you.

But just literally just behind the camera in front of the desk is which is which. That's the fridge and that's the freezer. Or that's the freezer and that's the fridge.

I'd have to be looking at them to tell you. And I've still not heard when the kitchen people are going to come around and refit the kitchen. So I'm kind of up in the air a little bit with that.

So I'm doing a video today and I don't normally do a video. And for some reason, this, the back of the wall is showing. And I'm sure I had it set up so that that part of the wall didn't show when I last did videos.

But for some reason it's showing. And I'm not sure why. It doesn't really matter, but it's, you know, I've got this stuff here to cover that up.

But I made the mistake of not scraping down the wall first. So there's parts of this sticking up and I've had to nail them in. Other parts that just keep sticking out and I keep pushing them back in.

I've got another pile of these in the bedroom. I think that's six, six or eight to a pile you get. Maybe six, maybe eight.

The sun opened and they're either blue or they're white. If you can see behind me, you can't, can you? Up there there's white ones. There's a white one there.

So really they used to be white ones here and they fell off. Itchy leg. So I was thinking about when the kitchen people come, I might try and borrow a sander and sand down the walls.

Do you want another one Vinnie? Come and get it then. Come get it. You want it? You want it? Okay.

Try and get a sand down the walls and maybe take off the ones I've put on there. Although I did try and take one off and it did split in half. So that might not work, but take off the ones that I can take off.

And then get some kind of glue that I can just spread on the wall. For the one and just basically just stick them all on, even though they've got adhesive on the back, that'd be like a double whammy, wouldn't it? And the ones that have got the adhesive on the back that are already on the wall, the adhesive won't be working anymore. So yeah, I might, might do that.

I mean, ideally I'd like to have the whole wall done all the way around, but that would cost me a lot of money because they're not cheap. They're not cheap. They're, they're not like super expensive, but they're not cheap either.

It'd probably cost me quite a few hundred pounds to do this room. I would say a few hundred pounds, if not more. I can't work it out because I don't know how much they were because I bought these months ago, months and months and months, maybe last year.

I don't remember. So I'm just trying to think what's the latest. Since I made, I don't know why this is funny.

That wasn't even funny. I'm laughing since I last made a video, like a video, video like this. It's been a long time and you might be thinking, why have I got this, this microphone in front of me? It's basically because this is for my voice and the camera's for my funny face.

And although it's not very bright in here, so it won't be the, the brightest, you know, video. At least the sound should be pretty good because otherwise it wouldn't be. And I don't know how much of that, I don't know how much of the fridge is being picked up because when I'm editing the recording, I still got the fridge in the background.

Why don't you use headphones? That's not a bad idea, actually. That's a really good idea, actually. I don't know why I didn't think of that.

Thanks. Because I could use, I've got wireless headphones, so I could use them, plug them, connect them to the iPad, the very old iPad. Can't believe it.

My iPad and my iPhone is so old now that the new update, iOS 7000 or whatever, I'm very limited to what I can actually use now on my phone. Like they're forcing me to get a new phone and I can't get a new phone. So what happens when, will it eventually, the iOS update will just make my phone void? I won't be able to use it anymore.

That doesn't sound fair. Not to me. So just wait and see.

I've never been that bothered by the art in all the updates. I'm not really a big phone user as far as like getting phone calls, sending texts occasionally. I do use the phone to listen to the radio and to music and stuff when I'm in bed.

Or to podcasts or to YouTube videos, like lectures and stuff like that. Just some of the apps, you know, basic stuff like ordering, repeat prescriptions, things like that. Checking the time.

Sometimes I use the calculator. Wow, this is boring, isn't it? This is even too boring for me. Even in my mind, I'm thinking, no, I can't keep, this is too mundane.

Even though it's supposed to be boring, I'm like, am I really going to list all the things I use my phone for? Because it doesn't interest me. Now you might think, well, that's how it's supposed to be. No, no, no, no, it's not how it works.

How this works, this podcast, is I talk about things that interest me, that then bore other people. See, I'm one of them people. I want to say one of them people, we all know them.

You know, someone that will basically bite your ears off, like meow, meow, meow, meow, and then just go on and on and on about their special subject that they were interested in. And you've got no interest in what they're saying about that subject. You might really like the person.

They might even be your wife or your husband or your brother or, you know, might be someone that you really care about and you love deeply. But when they talk about that specific subject, your brain switches off and you just want to curl up and go to sleep. So that's what I do with this podcast.

I just talk about what I'm interested in, my life, even though it's pretty boring and repetitive. But I talk about what's on my mind or what interests me and what grabs my attention. And it's boring for other people to listen to.

That's kind of how it works. When I first started doing this, can you believe in two years time, let me bore you to sleep will be 10 years old. Can you believe it? Now, anyone listening to this or watching a video for the very first time might think so.

And what are you telling me that for? I don't want to know about that. I don't care. All right.

Blimey. I'm only mentioning it. I just, you know, it wasn't a personal attack.

So when I first 10 years. It's pretty much getting on to eight and a half years old now. I started in March, was that April, May, June, July, August, September, eight and a half years old.

And I'd be 10 years old in a year and a half. Wow. And I will be by then I will be 57 years old.

Yeah, 57 years old. So I started this when I was 22. That's why I got my calculator because I can't always work things out.

When I first started doing these, let me bore you to sleep recordings. And it was March, I feel something like March the 14th or 28th, 2018. And I didn't really know what I was going to be doing.

I kind of thought, well, I'll do because I'd always done hypnosis recordings before that time. And I also used to do like vlogs or blogs as well. Video blogs where I could just talk about my life.

I used to call them Jason chats. And I just talk about things. This is pretty much no different from the Jason chats really.

Yeah, not really any different. But I thought, if we mix them together, so kind of, I think the plan was to start off as like a vlog, just talking and then ease into hypnosis, ease into that kind of stuff. And because I used to do that with thing called hypno chats.

I wonder if I've got any of those recordings left, I might have them somewhere. And with the hypno chats, I would do that I'll talk about subject completely off the top of my head, choose a subject like it could be anything bereavement. It could be exam nerves, it could be whatever, just a subject that I just thought about.

And at the time, because this is back in 2011, I was 2011 2012. I was a counsellor. So I had lots of different subjects to choose from, because I was seeing people multiple times a day with lots of different issues.

So I'd kind of choose a topic or a subject once a day. And I would talk, and I'd do it in the same room that I did the counselling. So if maybe I'd do the hour before the counselling session started or the hour afterwards, because sometimes I'd have to be there for the entire evening, even if I was only had two clients, because we weren't allowed to do soul, we weren't allowed to be there on our own with clients, just like one person in the building, it had to always be at least two people, counsellors

that is, which I think is good.

And it used to start off, I'd just like go, this is what I, off the top of my head, what I think about this subject is like system ideas, just some ideas, maybe some personal stuff that's happened to me, my experience, maybe my kind of professional experience of dealing with someone else that's dealt with that. And then gradually kind of slowing down how I was talking and eventually lead into hypnosis without addressing it, without suggesting it, without announcing it, just like, it wasn't like I'd be talking and saying, for example, given up alcohol or whatever.

So well, you know, I used to drink and the weird thing about with me is I used to drink a lot, but it used to be self medication, I didn't know at the time, didn't know about that stuff was self medicating.

When I found that out. And I managed to get away from doing a job that I really disliked. I didn't feel that need, I didn't have that need to, to drink in evenings anymore.

And so yeah, I haven't had a drink, I haven't really had drunk alcohol at all for pretty much over pretty much 11 years. Now close your eyes 10987654321 you are getting deeper sleepy. I didn't do it like that.

It was it was more subtle, subtle than that. I quite like them. And they did.

I was used to do them on video. I used to that's in the days when everything I did was video or YouTube. And then I would extract the audio for the podcast.

This is both I'm doing both at the same time. So I'm basically doing a podcast with this microphone, and I'm videoing it and I will put this audio onto the video. Because the audio otherwise would be from a distance.

Because the cameras quite far away. Because I'm so fat, you see, I kind of the cameras literally, this is I'm looking into a window, this is in the building opposite me. That's why I don't look.

It's not I don't know why I said that. And then when I started doing the actual, let me put you to sleep. It kind of ended up just being a relaxation session, like a sleep session, which wasn't what I was aiming at.

But it's a it's a sleep session in the sense of being bored, giving yourself an opportunity to switch your mind off and to have a familiar voice. Or if you're watching a video, a familiar funny face. And for some people, well, over the years, some people have found it entertaining.

Some people have found it really boring. Some people have found it annoying, you know, of course, but that's, that's one of the benefits of doing this. And having that friendly voice to listen to, or familiar voice, you know, can be really useful.

And I think I've realized what people say now, because people have told me this for 20 years, and that they like listening to me and not everybody, obviously, but you know, people used to like listening and it was comfortable, comforting to have me there. It's only when I started listening to LBC radio, probably about eight years ago, and used to listen to the early morning show with, what was his name? I used to listen to LBC when I was in the late 80s. But I didn't listen to it for quite a while.

What was his name? He used to start his show at four in the morning till seven. And at that time, I used to be up all night. Because I preferred nights, night shift.

That was my favorite thing to do, just be up all night and sleep during the day. Not because I couldn't sleep during the day, I couldn't, I could sleep at night, I just preferred being up. And it's quieter and I could do more stuff.

Didn't get people knocking on my door disturbing me and that. But what was my point? I started to feel like I knew him. Started to feel there was a comforting-ness.

And I went on a holiday. And I was abroad. The freezers just turned off or the fridge.

I went on a holiday. I remember sitting on the veranda. And it was different, completely different time zones.

And I wake up and it's probably like 10 in the morning or two in the afternoon, I don't know. And I put the radio on to LBC. And he was on there.

It was like five in the morning here. And it just made me feel so comfortable. Gave me that little bit of home, you know.

So drinking a cup of coffee, some cornflakes that I'd bought in this shop, a little plastic bowl that I'd bought, a little plastic spoon, some little milk. I kind of, you know, I organized my little breakfast. I don't know why I feel so pleased with myself for doing that.

But it is a highlight. It's one of the highlights of my life. And other than sweating, I haven't even got any lights on my face, really.

It's no light shining right on me. I need the window open. The thing is, when I have my head like that, it looks like I'm bored, but I'm not.

Look, I've got hair. My hairline used to be pretty halfway down my head. Oh, we've got a motorbike.

Can you hear that? Oh, I hope it's the bloke with a motorbike. It might sound like a silly thing to say. Or I heard a motorbike.

Hope it's the bloke with a motorbike. There's a few different people with mopeds and motorbikes. But there's one particular person that once he starts, he's doing it for about four hours long.

If that's the case, then I might have to stop the recording. Or it's just going to be part of the recording. It's pretty much impossible for me to have complete silence, especially having all these fridges and freezers in the in the room.

I mean, if he started barking, I would, you know, edit that out, of course. But I can't. I don't have any control of what goes on outside the building.

So it's getting to the point where I used to wait sometimes for days on end for a bit of peace, a bit of quiet, so I could make a video or make a podcast episode, a recording, hypnosis recording. And now I think, well, no, I can't do that anymore. I just I could literally be here for weeks waiting for everything to be just right.

And I've done that in the past where like, oh, this is perfect. And I'm 10 minutes in and then, you know, an elephant starts riding around the garden or something. A monkey and an elephant, you know, normal stuff.

Like, oh, really? Really? And then after doing the the first recording I did back in March 2018, it went from being like a hypnosis recording, which it was never supposed to be anyway, to be me doing more talking about stuff. And then over time, I just talked about my life. Because I have really, this is a really boring lifestyle I have.

And I'm not, I'm not bragging. Why would you brag about that? I'm not bragging or showing off. And I'm not giving it the bigun.

I just, it is, it's a very quite a boring life. I choose this over drama, or Boston Chicky would call drama, drama. I just, Boston Chicky, hi, Boston Chicky.

Hi, Molly. Hi, everyone on my Facebook group. Hello.

Hello to all my listeners. And because there's gonna be a lot of people listening to this recording on a podcast as opposed to on YouTube. But also hello, everyone on YouTube as well.

Because there was a crossover, some people do both. But I think I've got a different audience on YouTube to what I have on the podcasts. And I'm not sure if some people on the podcast even know that I've got a YouTube channel, and vice versa.

Which is kind of my, my lack of promotion, I guess. But it's okay. I'm just you know, up to now, I've been uploading all the latest recordings.

Because I want YouTube on the podcast, sorry, I do six different versions of my podcast. So I do the original recording, then I do. So that would be called the short voice only, even if it's an hour and a half, I still put it down a short voice only long voice only, which is about five hours.

And then overnight voice only, which is about 10 hours. And then I do the short music only, which is the short voice only with music underneath in the background. And I do the long voice only long music only overnight voice only overnight music only.

Yeah. And those ones have got me in the background talking, giving positive suggestions, then sometimes counting down from 100 to one and stuff like that, with some light music on the underneath. Now, with this YouTube video, first of all, this is going to be about just under 12 hours long.

Not, not this bit of me talking. But it will be once I finish, it will just turn into music. Music.

So you got some music playing. And that way you can just fall asleep or something. If you want to fall asleep.

I mean, maybe I could look at doing something where I'm I don't know, I haven't decided yet. But this one, I think it would just be music. Just some nice relaxing music from the YouTube library.

So it's not copyrighted. And then so that will take up to probably about 11 and a half hours. So and there'll only be one video.

So if you wanted to listen to the other five versions, the one without music, etc. You'd need to go to my podcasts. My website has them all, which is Jason Newland.com. I'm also on Apple, Spreaker, Google, Spotify, all pretty much all the podcasts I'm on there.

And in two days time, Tuesday, Wednesday for three days time, my website is going to be changing over to the new website. So Jason Newland.com will still stay the same, still same domain name. But I've got a new website that I've been building for the last three weeks, probably over three weeks.

And there's a lot more going on there. There's a lot more stuff that can you know, for people to use and find things and there's playlists and all that stuff. So if I continue this way, and I'm thinking I might do this, even though it's not a perfect image, not a perfect picture.

But in a way, the more blurrier, blurrier, the more unfocused the camera is the better for my kind of face. Because if I got like some really, really good, I did have a good camera that I used to use. And it showed up every pothole.

It's like, oh my goodness. It looked honestly, I look like the part like the moon, my face. I know.

It's good to have a when I haven't got a filter on or anything. But I saw someone in the park the other day. When I was walking a dog.

And she looked at me. That's rare, but she looked at me. She didn't say that's rare.

She might be thinking it. I do sometimes think when people look at me is almost like they think they're in a zoo or something. I just point and laugh.

Chuck bread. That's weird. Why would someone chuck bread? Anyway, I I looked at her and I said hello.

Hello. This isn't a very interesting story, by the way. But I'm not always that bland.

I mean, I do sometimes have conversations with people. But I felt like I should have a more of a conversation. But I didn't know what to say because I didn't really know who she was.

And then she left. I mean, we both left. I mean, neither of us live in the park, but she she leaves and did his swings.

No, she she left and I left. And when I got home, I realized it was someone I know and I talk to regularly, but she just didn't have any makeup on. She looked completely different.

And I'm like, wow. How good would it be to look completely different? Going out and no one knows who you are. Not that I want to be anonymous necessarily, but it just.

But how confusing would that be? How am I supposed to know that someone's the person they say they are or the if they've got make if they're like completely look different? I mean, do they completely different? There's one woman she walks around and she's got different hair every day. Different hairstyle, different colors like. I asked her why she wears wigs.

I said, oh, sorry. I thought like, oh, very sensitive issue. No, not nothing realist.

I like people not to recognize me. So I don't have to stop and talk to them. I said, does it work? She says, not always.

And just walked away. I was like, OK. So I think I messed up her disguise.

It's weird, though, because I kept looking, I'm thinking. This is a woman there. I can't believe so.

There's a different women, but we've all got the same ass. No, I'm joking. I didn't look.

No, not that part. And so, yeah, I, I, I, I, I, I. Eventually, with the podcast, I just started talking about childhood and talking about school, talking about jobs. I used to talk about Andre a lot, who's my favorite, my little boy.

And he became my co-presenter. He was a bit more easily able for me to get into my arms and hold him, although he was a wiggler and he wanted to get away. Vinny, on the other hand, will growl and try and bite me if I pick him up, which is a shame.

That's why I did the thing with the treat to get him so you could see him. But he doesn't. I mean, sometimes he will.

If you want something, he will just stand there and just stare at me. But when I do my hand like that, that's him. Give me a treat.

Why? I don't know why, but he always has to lay down with his bum facing me and then just let off these silent farts. I can smell it, Vinny. Don't just sit in there.

I can see where you're lying now. I can see your eyes are open. He's acting, he's like completely still.

But he's not now. Now his legs are moving. Have I made you self-conscious? You know what he did the other day? I might mention this, but he's not particularly friendly to dogs that he doesn't know, especially to big scary dogs.

I call them the monsters. There's some monsters in this estate, like huge dogs as big as me, like massive things. And I walked past the house the other day and this dog, I mean, this window was huge, right? And this dog took up the whole of the window.

I mean, how can you live with a that size? And it wasn't, it's not a big house. It's just like, what is the point? Literally, I could accidentally walk underneath it, you know, mistake it for a bridge or something. I mean, it's so big, like walking under a bridge, not walking over the bridge, because that'd be weird, wouldn't it? Itchy head.

It's the heat, you know? So, oh, he's having his nails cut on Friday. They offered me two options. They said it's £10 to just have his nails cut, or he can have his, he can have a nice bath and a pampering for £30.

So I said, what can I get for five? And they said, one hand. I said, okay. Can I pay that, like in installments? And she said, no.

Are you wasting their time? I said, well, I'm trying to. And she hung up. But yeah, I've got an appointment booked.

£30 and he's going to have a good old big bath. Well, it's not going to be a big bath because he's the size of a cat, but it's going to be a little bath. He's going to have his nails clipped, which really, really needs to be done.

I'm looking forward to that because I've been a little bit complacent with that whole thing. And putting it off. Whenever I think about doing it, I don't have the money.

And he got his fingers caught in a settee a couple of days ago, which was not good. And he had a similar thing on the bed a couple of weeks ago as well. So like, it's time.

You know, I can't mess around anymore. I just got to get it done. Thing is, you can't get a bank loan to get your dog's toenails clipped.

Imagine going into a bank and saying I need a loan. How much for? £30. They just don't do it.

I know someone that borrowed £100 off a loan shark. Well, I think it was illegal, but it was like an online thing. And they have to pay £100 back extra on top.

And it goes up continuously. If they've not paid that by a certain time, it goes up and goes up and goes up and goes up. Wow.

It's I mean, that's a legal thing. You know, it's not even illegal. So you can't lose, can you really? And if you if you lend £1,000 in hundreds, so 10 people you lend £100 to, if half of them don't pay it back, you've still not lost anything.

It's I mean, is it worth sending bailiffs around for £200? I suppose some would, wouldn't they? So if it's a local firm, they might just, yeah, I don't know. But £200, so let's say it comes to £200 at the end, and that's not been paid, and then the interest and everything. So suddenly, after like six months, you got £600.

And then you got court costs and all the fees. And every time they visit, they charge another £150 if you don't answer the door. I haven't had a huge amount of contact with bailiffs.

I did move into this one flat. It was a sublet, which I didn't know at the time. And I moved in.

And this was long, long time ago. I can still remember when the music used to make me smile. I was just sitting there watching telly with my friend, who he's the one that did the sublet, and he loved to sublet.

He loved subletting, it was his favourite thing in the world. Just continuously kept subletting. I mean, once I was living with him, the sublet, and we were given probably about five hours notice to get out of the place.

We were at work and said, oh, you got to get out by tonight when you get home, got to leave. That's what comes from subletting, you know, there's no security. But we didn't learn, we just got another sublet.

And we got some, there was like a buzzer system. So the buzzer went for the door, so that you couldn't get into the place. Because there was stairs and another door downstairs, and that led to the other door or whatever.

And on the other end, it said, oh, we've got a package, package for number 53. I can't remember what number it was. So I did a 53 because this could be anything.

It sounded like 52. That might have been 52. I don't know what the number was.

That's, you know, that's why I mumbled it. I just make one up, you have to mumble. I didn't have to mumble, but I wanted to mumble.

Sometimes mumbling is a good thing. When's mumbling ever a good thing? We just did it then, you mumbled yourself then. I didn't, I didn't mumble.

Do you ever notice that people, I've noticed this, they'll talk and maybe you haven't, maybe you have, but they'll say something and you say, oh, can you repeat that please? Because I didn't quite get the end of the sentence. So they say something like, oh, um, I'd like to book a hotel room. I've got it booked under Jason Newman.

So all the words are correct, except like Jason Newman. And you think, oh, I must've misheard that. Or they mumbled or something.

So you ask them to repeat it. And then they say, I didn't quite get what you said. Can you repeat it? Oh yeah, sure.

I booked a hotel room under the name Jason Newman. And they do the same thing again. It's like, can you say it more clearly? I'm not getting it because you're on the phone.

Like, can you just say a bit more clearly? Cause I can't quite hear what you're saying. So, okay. I booked a hotel room under the name Jason Newman.

And they just, the amount of people that I've met that mumbled their own name. It's almost like they're saying it, but thinking we should know it anyway. I mean, admittedly, you know, he is my dad, so I guess I should know, but you know, it's like, if that's what it is, if everybody just, I'm not sure if people can hear themselves.

Now, I know a lot of people, they say like, I say a lot of people, people that I've spoken to in the past have sort of said, Oh, I can't believe I sound like that. Cause they've made a recording of themselves and they've heard themselves for the first time talking. Like, no, I used to hear that a lot in the call centers because all the calls recording, and I actually used to record, I used to listen to the calls of hundreds of people.

And if they, maybe there was a mistake or that, you know, there was an error that then they'd have to listen back to that part of the recording. And they all, you know, for the first time they'd heard themselves, they'd always been like, no, that doesn't sound like me. Or sound really clear and articulate.

The thing is, if you do something like this, if you make a podcast, especially if you've been doing it for 20 years, like I've been doing it, you know, exactly how you sound. So what I hear in my ears is what you're hearing on this recording. Of course, you might filter it out and you might hear something different.

I mean, I might be saying, I know I'd like you to now just close your eyes and relax. When I do a hypnosis session, close your eyes and relax. And that might be what I hear.

That might be what's the recording saying, but you might hear. Relax. So, you know, you might hear a different thing.

You probably shouldn't, if you do perhaps seek help. But, you know, we've all got our own kind of filters of what we hear and what we see and how we perceive things. That's a weird noise, isn't it? The thing is, I actually, I can hear how I sound.

Because, well, I have to edit these things. So I hear myself pretty much every day of the year. Editing and playing it back.

Also listen to my recordings as well, because they're so damn groovy. And they do send me to sleep. Funny enough, they do actually send me to sleep because it's really boring as well.

And not always. All my tum-tums going. And it's weird.

It's like the idea that people, not everybody knows how they sound. And not being able to hear it. But then I wonder, you know, as I said earlier, other people's, even though I can hear what it sounds like on the podcast, other people might not hear it the same.

Especially, like, maybe someone listening in a different language. It might sound just really, really strange, especially as I've been told I'm not necessarily the fastest speaker in the world. Apparently.

Apparently, I speak quite slowly, quite slowly indeed. Why is my tum-tum making such noises? I don't know. So, yeah, I just... It's weird because I haven't made a video for some time.

And part of me wants to kind of do an introduction to something that I've been doing for a long time. Almost as if it's the first time I've done it. Well, you know what introduction means.

All right. It's like, okay. But... But every now and then I think it's useful because not everybody listening to this or watching this on YouTube or whatever, or listening on the podcast or on my website, not everybody listening is going to be listening, have listened before.

This will be the first time for some people. It might be the last time for those people as well. I don't know.

And this is not necessarily a good example of how the podcasts are normally done. They vary. They vary in length and they vary in strength.

And they vary in smelliness. I don't know what that means. I feel I've got gas building up in my tummy.

Maybe it's time to eat. What is the time? I don't know. I started this at 4.38 and it's probably about, I've been talking for 53 minutes.

So it's probably about 5.30. Ish. Now, I know it doesn't seem like 53 minutes, probably seems like three hours, but it doesn't feel like nearly an hour. I don't think so.

I think it feels like maybe 10, 15 minutes. Just chitter chatter. Just a little bit of this, a little bit of that, a little bit of salt, a little bit of pepper.

You'll be seated. Just, you know, just calm, relaxed. I'm trying to think of something I'm looking forward to.

I suppose I'm looking forward to getting Vinny's fingernails done because for him, it would be a good thing. And it also means I won't be worried about leaving him on his own. Because after that incident on the sofa a couple of days ago, I didn't leave him on his own.

Because if that had happened when I wasn't here, what would he have done? How would he, I mean, what, yeah, what would he have done? I mean, I don't know. Generally don't know what he'd have done. So luckily I was here to help him free himself.

But that should never happen again. But then I'm thinking, if I didn't have a sofa that was ripped open, then I wouldn't have happened in the first place. What can I do? I was wondering if I ever managed to get myself a new bit of sofa, whatever.

Should I just go back to just having a chair, just all the time? Or one chair? Because I don't really need a sofa. Really. It's only me here.

If there was someone else here, I suppose I could just get another chair, couldn't I? But then if someone moved in and it was like a relationship kind of situation, I don't know, would they want physical attention, physical contact? I don't know. I don't know how relationships work anymore. I've forgotten.

Or could we, could we go, miss that out completely, go straight into being old pensioners and have our own chair, maybe next to each other with a little table for our cups of tea and all our tablets? A little glass with my teeth in it. Why is my tummy going like that? How strange. I don't know.

Very weird. So, what else is going on? So, I've got that with him. Big Brother started on Sunday.

And that was just the introduction, you know, the people walking in to the house. Last night, I was so tired. I was in bed by, actually, it was after nine o'clock, because Big Brother's on at nine, but I was in bed by that quarter past nine-ish.

And I started watching Big Brother from last night, early this morning, and I got tired and I fell asleep. I'm kind of trying to, I'm getting used to the new medication, because I'm on diabetic medication now. Yay.

And also, I'm getting used to statins for my arteries, my high cholesterol. And I just think it's kind of made me a bit tired, this whole, this, yeah, it's just a change to the body and everything. So, I've been a lot more tired the last couple of weeks.

I could go to sleep now, which is a bit weird, really, isn't it? I'm kind of just, I really could just drift off, have a nice, gentle, semi-deep sleep. Hmm, just a little nap. I don't know if you can hear that dog in the background.

But, yeah, I don't know what else I'm kind of looking forward to doing. I suppose just waiting to hear about the kitchen, and then nothing else really happening. Nothing really looking forward to.

Oh, yeah, October, there's Wardley against, what's his name, Daniel Dubois. So, Fabio Wardley against Daniel Dubois, rematch for the heavyweight championship. I think it's the IBF they've got, or is it WBO? So, that'd be interesting.

I'm looking forward to that, and I hope that Fabio wins this one. But, other than that, there's nothing really that I'm looking forward to on the boxing front. Not really.

I mean, Katie Taylor had her last fight a couple of weeks ago, and I just don't get why she didn't want to fight the world's best. Because in England, or in this part of the world, Katie Taylor's classed as the best. But in America, Clarissa Shields is classed as the best.

Serena Sereno also, I mean Serena, whatever her name is, she's had like so many knockouts, it's ridiculous. But Clarissa Shields, Katie Taylor won the Olympics gold once in boxing, which is amazing. And she's had multiple world titles, and she's now retired.

Clarissa Shields won the Olympics twice, and has also won multiple world titles, and is undefeated, unlike Katie Taylor. And she's a lot younger as well. I think she's only like 31, 32.

And she's also, she's held the world heavyweight title in the female. She's actually done, some would argue, some would argue more than Katie Taylor's done, but they never fought each other. And there's not much difference in their weight.

I don't know why they didn't fight each other. I mean, Katie Taylor fought Sereno. So why wouldn't she fight Katie, Clarissa Shields, who is a much bigger name.

Sereno is bigger, like in Latin countries and Mexico and stuff, I think. But Clarissa in America, Clarissa Shields, she's the most famous American female boxer, after Muhammad Ali's daughter, you know, 20, 30 years ago. So why didn't they get it on? For Katie Taylor's last fight, instead of fighting someone that I've never heard of, I know she wants to unify the world championships.

So that makes sense, you know, because she's broken more, she's broken so many records. So that was another record she broke. But how good would it have been if she'd gone in and fought Clarissa Shields and beat her? And I think it would have been, wow, I think it would have been one heck of a fight as well.

But they didn't do it. And I just thought, why? That was, that would be like, if Tyson Fury had never fought Deontay Wilder. Because at the time, they were the two best heavyweights, apart from Anthony Joshua.

Deontay Wilder was the best in America, Tyson Fury, half of the best in the UK. So it made sense that they both fought each other, you know, Wilder and Tyson Fury. And they had three really good fights.

So the equivalent, Katie Taylor, being, see that the feature just started. It's the first time I've noticed it coming on during a recording. I don't know how loud it is on the microphone.

But that's, yeah, I forgot what I was talking about now. Now focused on fridges. I'll be glad when these kitchens over and done with and I can put these.

Well, actually, I can't put the fridge back in because it's not going to be the right gap. I need a large fridge to put in there. I actually applied for funding for that, but I said no, no.

So hey, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go now. Yes.

So thank you for listening. Remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy and be gentle with yourself. You deserve to feel safe.

Lots of love. Bye.
