Hello and all to jasonnewland.com. My name's Jason Newland and this is Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes.
This is Q and D Friday. And those of you that listen regularly will be very aware that it's late. It's very late.
It is in fact a day late because today is not the 31st of October 2025. Halloween. It's the day after.
Saturday the 1st of November 2025. Nearly Christmas. Or nearly bonfire night.
I have a legitimate reason why I didn't make a recording yesterday. So apologies. I know I don't need a reason but I do try and stick to the proper days.
Yesterday when I came to make the recording Vinnie started barking and I didn't really know why to start with. I thought there was just someone in the garden but it was fireworks and the fireworks went on quite a while and then my neighbour who's got cats I actually phoned her up just to apologise for the him barking and she said well I'll have loud music on now just to cover up the fireworks.
So that was kind of another reason why I couldn't really do the recording either.
But yeah it's mainly the fireworks it's just the noise the background noise. I probably could have been all right through the music because I don't think the microphone would have picked too much of that up but it was distracting to me. And also I didn't know how long the fireworks were going to be and I kind of left it to the last minute to do the recording.
So I was going to do it between seven and nine because of the big brother not execution eviction the big brother eviction is at nine o'clock. So my plan was to do that and then kind of do the editing during the show. So I kind of went up in smoke a little bit.
Oh well so I'm doing it now I've got my window closed the curtains drawn there's no I mean there is some someone in the garden over the fence but with the window closed and the curtains drawn it should block out most of that din unless of course there's like whistles being blown and stuff like that of drum kits but generally it should be okay. And then I've got my own little um orchestra underneath the desk in the shape of a little red foxy foxy number chewing on his bone.
So that's it really uh I'd like to say thank you oh did I say only listen when you can safely close your eyes and so I'd like to say thank you to Ben Emil and Jackie for your kind PayPal gifts.
Yeah I had to post uh I didn't have to I suppose but I posted a thing on my Facebook page which is Jason Newland's boring group if you'd like to join and just posted I don't like to ask help but here's my PayPal much love paypal.com forward slash paypal me forward slash Jason Newland and I don't do that very often but when I do it's generally because on this case is because I got bills bills that I have to go out and food it's just I've this is one of those
moments where I just didn't have anything have any money in the bank basically until Wednesday so it's like oh it didn't didn't bother me early in the week because I kept thinking I think I was on the wrong day and I was thinking okay it's fine and then more and more stuff went out of my bank I need to keep more track of the different direct debits but all my bills are direct debits and I have a like a big chunk of them on the first of the month which won't
be today because it's Saturday I think I know it's Saturday but I don't think they'll they'll take it out on the Monday so yeah I was like oh I went on there and saw that I had well I didn't have enough to even cover like the little ones and also had to get food so I was like oh and I just thought I'll post that you never know but I just want to say thank you to those like Jackie Ben and Emil because it's really helped me seriously and do appreciate
it but at the same time I don't like I don't like asking it's I just find it embarrassing I mean as a friend I could ask but I won't ask her just just I'm honestly I'm just just embarrassed by it I should be able to I should be able to financially look after myself at my age really but there you go never mind I'm trying to think what's happened since since since since I last did a recording which was Thursday I said are you is anyone enjoying a Thursday night the
Thursday like new recordings I'm doing anyone anyone what are they called Thursday throwbacks it's a new season it's a new kind of series of recordings and and I started off last Thursday with I mean on the image is my favorite 80s TV shows 1980 this week was 1981 I mean I am talking about my favorite TV shows but I also talk about other TV shows that were on as well because back then and also at least halfway through the 90s I would watch television all the time like when I wasn't
at work I'd watch TV although okay in the 90s in the 80s there was the period when I started going to well when I was going to see cadets I didn't watch TV those two nights a week which I think was either I think it was a Tuesday and a Friday or it might be the Monday and a Friday or a Wednesday and a Friday or it was a Friday involved it's definitely I think it was a Friday then when I left to see cadets I was I started doing karate
and that was on a Tuesday and a Thursday evening so I didn't watch TV in those days and we didn't have catch catch up or anything like that didn't have um well there was no internet there was no DVDs I mean there was video recorders so I could kind of tape stuff but generally I wouldn't and the only thing really that I was I mean EastEnders started in I think 1985 I probably didn't get into EastEnders until about 1986 I watched it but I didn't get really into it um so
generally you know and we used to have Omnibus the Omnibus EastEnders so we'd have it on I think when it started it was on a Tuesday and a Thursday and it expanded I'm sure at one time it was on every single night of the week it's not now it's on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and I've not seen this week's yet so I'll watch that tomorrow I think I think it's going to be my new Sunday ritual watching EastEnders for the week previous and yeah they used to show it on a
Sunday uh I think it was a Sunday morning around about 11 o'clock or maybe it was in the early afternoon I used to watch both which is ridiculous now when you think about it but I used to watch it during a week and on the Omnibus edition even I mean why why would I put myself through that oh well and I'm trying to think of something that something happened the other day someone told me something that was very funny I forget what it is it made me laugh and oh if
I remember I'll tell you it's one of the dog walkers told me I think it was it was just something something actually happened like really happened and Vinnie's okay he's been good the weather's been very changeable very autumnal autumnal notice how it's not um fallal you know it's autumnal after autumn oh this might be in my body that is stop can't we just use the same words please please autumnal for years I didn't know what they were talking about when a person would say it's very autumnal it's like and then
I found out what it meant so why are you saying that on the I mean you don't do that in the summer it's very summery it's a summer for wintery it's the winter it's supposed to be it's like why I mean the weather forecast in this country is just like where's gonna it's gonna rain it might rain might be sunny might be cold might be warm might be windy it's like it could be any of those things through one day we can wake up and it'll be a sunny day until
11 and then rain till two and then be really windy till four and then be freezing cold for the rest of the night you know you could like this you can go through three or four seasons in one day very strange country but you gotta love it in it hey you gotta love it so what's I want to say we don't have I say we don't but we the kind of extreme weather that other countries have we do get extreme weather compared to what we normally get there are some places
that have had you know bad weather and the results of that but compared to I don't know like parts of America that have is it whirlwinds what's those things whirlwinds wizard of oz things and someone did post on my page about having hurricane season and but they're prepared for it and the thing is it's like okay I kind of it's a weird one isn't it because I think if you live somewhere and you live there you've lived there all your life or you've kind of your family have lived there maybe
for generations it's your home isn't it and if a couple of times a year you have to go down into a cellar and you know lock the door and hide from the wind then I guess you become used to that it's almost just just like normal it's like in some countries where they have crocodiles and lions and stuff I mean that's not normal is it but it is for them or Australia with some weird creepy crawlies that's not you know it's I mean in this country we get spiders and stuff
is a big phobia but in this country they can't hurt us unless you someone's allergic to them but in Australia or Brazil or Mexico or all the different some of the really hot countries like they've got a reason to be scared of these reptiles like but they're the ones that don't seem to be scared of them like in Thailand do they find a snake it's just like okay like you know a very a serious a serious snake they just you know either get some help to get it out or to
get it out themselves it's not a big deal because that's what they've grown up with so yeah I don't know I just find it I suppose with us here having lots multiple weather in one day is normal and talking about the weather as I've just proven is the most popular conversation in England I'm not going to say Britain so I'm not going to say Scotland or Wales I'm just going to say England I'm also probably I'm going to just keep it to the south of England although I did live I
did live in the northeast I did I did live in Scotland I think for a little while and I've lived in Essex Suffolk London like the south of the country everywhere I've ever lived if you wait at a bus stop waiting for a train just you know a complete stranger or someone you know it's like oh it's cold in it oh it's warm in it nice day today in it hey hey it's too warm too cold too windy I like to just to say no it's lovely I love it love
it I love the ice I love I love slipping over I tell you when I go up and down them stairs the communal stairs I walk very carefully because it's nearly two years no blimey no nearly three years since I fell down them stairs nearly three years it was the beginning of December and it was on the day when all the snow melted so we had a lot of snow for about a few days settled really thick snow and then in one day it was quite warm and it rained well
not warm but it was warmer warmer and it rained and it melted all the way but in the process it left a mixture of oil and water and oil on the stairs that I didn't realize and that's just from being outside you know oil from the cars and whatever bicycles cars and uh yeah I fractured my back in two places that time I did a podcast about it there's me there's a picture of me in my x-ray costume that's the beginning of December and it was literally the first week that
I got Vinnie and the only reason I well not the only reason I'm not going to blame Luke but he was I think he was more excited my friend downstairs Luke he was more excited about me getting Vinnie than I was because the fact is he wanted him but it's really strange he said to me not shortly shortly before he departed um my life he on all lives he he said well you would have ended up with him anyway and I didn't know what he meant I kind of do now
so kind of I think he just felt well he he can see him anytime he wants and it'll be his uncle and he absolutely doted on him honestly he was just absolutely loved Vinnie there's something about him he didn't even like little dogs he's really more into pit bulls and like big old strong scary dogs or scary looking dogs I should say because they are the soppiest dogs in the world like I know we I don't upset anyone that doesn't like XL Purdue's bullies and stuff like that but they are
so soppy those big scary looking dogs are the soppiest gentlest dogs ever maybe not with other dogs so that's why there's laws and stuff but I've got my Logie who was my friend's dog he was a big vicious dog towards other dogs unfortunately but he was like a floppy carefree farting machine who would just lay on anybody loved humans and you could leave your baby with him and know that your baby would be safe I realize you wouldn't leave your baby with a strange dog but you know I'm just saying
that he was protective towards humans but then we found out that chances are we don't know 100% that he'd been raised as a fighting dog which explains why he was such a handful when it came to other dogs the weird thing about it is I don't know if I've told you this is so my friend you know passed away I had Logie for how long was it three months so it's the end of November to the end of February I think yeah so from the end of November so it's the
24th of November um so it's nearly at the anniversary so it's Friday the 24th and it was the end of February that he finally got home so I had him for three months the first thing I did was get him and um a mask what do you call it a masky thing what do they call those masks for dogs not Halloween masks wasn't a balaclava anyway you know the one was like the cage or whatever and he was so good after that going out I mean he was good providing he
didn't see other dogs and he was perfect with Vinnie loved Vinnie although they did have some arguments living together for three months but I mean three months living with anyone's got to be there's going to be the occasional rubbing each other up the wrong way isn't there and that's what they did and they both felt that they owned this flat up here this was their home because Logie had been up here for years and years and years nearly every day Vinnie had lived here since well he'd been here for 11
months at that point so they both felt like obviously Vinnie felt this is his home which it is but Logie almost pretty much he also felt that this was his home which in a way kind of it was his second home I guess it was an extension to downstairs still in the same building so they'd have a few arguments so that did worry me a little bit because of the size difference and because of how Vinnie won't back down or he wouldn't back down and I just yeah I didn't like
it I would never leave them on their own together in the same room so if I had to go out they'd be in separate rooms just for the simple fact that I didn't trust them but I'd take them out together and but once I got the um what's it called that you put on their face not a mask muzzle a muzzle so once they've got a muzzle for him as good as gold and he would walk up I could now walk up to the other dog owners who I was used
to saying hello to with Vinnie and the dog owners would be a bit startled like walking away so don't worry he can't do a single thing because I also had a harness on him and the muzzle was attached to the harness he couldn't get out of it plus I knew I could hold him down if I had to because I have done in the past once but I know I can and and with yes and that was without any harness or any muzzle he um broke through the chain because his
his daddy would not put a harness on um wouldn't put a muzzle on him partly sometimes he did but he didn't like it Logie didn't like muzzles and I said well you're not supposed to like it you're not giving it to him to enjoy you're putting it on him so that you can protect other dogs and in doing so you're also protecting him from the outcome of that situation but he just he used to forget and all just didn't didn't want it so if I took Logie out I'd take him
somewhere where there was no one else around but on this occasion there was and this little dog ran towards him and he was off the lead and Logie tried to uh get to the other dog and the other dog wasn't taking a hint and he was still trying to sniff Logie's bum I had to hold Logie down and the person whose dog it was was just strolling towards us like can you hurry up I could feel you know when you see the um I think it's not on computer games and
you see like the energy level going down that's what was happening with me my strength and my energy was being depleted by the second because holding down a strong dog like that that was as strong as me probably was very very hard it took everything every single bit of energy and strength I've ever used was on that occasion I mean it was it was harder than I mean you know when I was younger I used to load lorries um with uh lambs and heavy boxes of offal and I used to
like load unload um potato sacks a big old potato sacks and have them thrown at me and catch them and that was nothing but unloading a lorry of potato sacks or loading up a lorry of um heavy really heavy boxes nothing compared to that probably was only five minutes maybe four minutes of holding Logie down and I mean to be fair I was much younger when I was doing the loading up and stuff so maybe I'd have found it easier to hold him down then but I'm a lot bigger and
I'm stronger now than I was back then I ain't got the engine I did you know I can't I don't have the lung capacity I'm not supposed to at this age I don't have the energy that I had back then I'm falling apart wow this this is bad isn't it but I've got some I mean you know if you're trying to hold a dog down that doesn't want to be held down having a bit of weight is good but at the same time I didn't want to hurt him so that's
the difference he didn't want to hurt me and I didn't want to hurt him now he could have either he could have bit me if you know but he didn't because he loves me so if it was like a strangest dog that would have been a different scenario because a dog would have been going for me but at the same time I don't know I wouldn't have been gentle but I don't I would never want to be in that situation but it was honestly I had to carry him home because
the chain broke eventually the person came up said can you pick your dog up please pick the dog up and the person just stood there talking to me I said can you go can you leave can you please leave the field please I can't hold him down for much longer and it was a young person and they walked out I think they were probably traumatized by it as well or shocked you know in shock but no one was hurt apart from my energy levels probably my back probably didn't help my
back but I literally had to carry Logie home it was either that or drag him by his neck like the the scruff of the neck thing and that just looked cruel even though it probably wouldn't hurt him but he was just didn't couldn't so I had to carry him and that was hard that was wasn't as hard as holding him down but he's heavy probably weighed about 10 stone 8 stone 9 stone something like that probably yeah probably a good 10 stone I'd say maybe less I don't know by the
way that story wasn't to make out how strong I am that was just let you know how weak I am because I didn't feel strong at all oh why don't you just do the questions for the Q&A Friday that'd be a bit isn't that what we're here for okay so questions for Q&A Friday I'm just trying to think of anything that's happened this week there's nothing since Thursday there's not really anything anything I mean Halloween was last night there was the fireworks I took Vinnie out earlier it was about six
o'clock to go for a WALK and he there were so many people around loads of like kids with their parents and families and I couldn't see the amount of people didn't have lights I had my little light thing so I can be seen and I was like so I'm having to walk on the grass so trying to see with my light where I'm stepping so I don't step in any dog doo-doo and which there sometimes is and Vinnie's leading me towards someone's I think it must be someone he knows and
he just leading me there so he can bark at a dog I didn't even know there's a dog there and then the the adults were kind of giving me weird looks like because Vinnie when he sees someone he knows them and he's like drag he pulls me towards them and I don't even know who he is until I get closer in the daytime in night time you could you could almost walk into me in the night time I just can't see nothing it's perhaps if I open my eyes here we
go ladies and gentlemen let's do the Q&A Friday shallst we yes we shallst I've got six questions six questions yeah six questions I don't know why I said six like that Hope, Anne, Jackie, Maria, Heidi and Anne so I'll start with I'll just start at the top so Hope Hope asks me so hello Hope what Halloween costumes do you remember from childhood you see I've been thinking about this and not because of your question although I do read through the questions but I was thinking about this last week well I'm
probably thinking about it because of your question but I was thinking about it I'm sure I mentioned it last week and trying to think like did I ever I've got a memory of dressing up but I've also got a memory of never dressing up and it can't it can't it's got to be one or the other isn't it can't be both so I just remember having this fake blood and having Dracula teeth or vampire teeth that I put into my mouth now I couldn't do that anymore because I cannot have
anything in my mouth without gagging it's weird you know the the dentist when they do the x-ray that is the worst part of any dentist visit for me which is like something having maybe it was just a little bit different because they were very flimsy weren't they they weren't but I got one of those sleeping aid things to put in your mouth and to help you know breathing or sleeping in it but I can't have it in my mouth I can't have something like that plus I can't open my jaws
very wide very wide I remember I went to the dentist and she had to I'm not sure she was giving me nothing she was extracting a tooth this was years ago this was back in 2000 and wow 2009 probably ish maybe 2010 maybe 2009 maybe 2008 but she the dentist was moaning at me and she said can't you open your open your I need you to open your mouth wider I said I can't open my mouth wider I'm not a pac-man you know I can't how am I supposed to open
my mouth wider that's as far as my what my mouth goes that literally is it now I realize you can't see me opening my mouth but I was then as a demonstration and she said well I need it wider I said well I can't help you I can't I can't I think she was trying to clamp it open like I just couldn't I couldn't do I couldn't do what she wanted me to do she's not the first woman I've disappointed that's my catchphrase for this year I think but generally I
like if you can't it's like ask me to do the splits I've never in my memory ever been able to do the splits now admittedly it's not something I've tried recently otherwise you'd be hearing about that hospital visit but I I used to be able to go quite far down so I remember when I was in first year a couple of the older bullies were kind of picking on me but it was kind of friendly bullying if there's such a thing well I guess they weren't really bullying they did end
up being a bit of a bully one of them but it was kind of we were new and these older kids that were probably two years older a lot bigger were just like chasing us around so it's kind of fun but I had one either arm dragging me along I don't know what they were planning to do but what I did I did the splits and tripped them both up so they fell on the floor and I just trod on them and kicked them in the stomach and ran off so
I mean I was like 11 and I was very very short so I could kind of do the splits then that was the closest thing to any kind of Bruce Lee move I've ever done but it was like in fun you know it wasn't like they weren't hurt or anything I don't think I could have hurt them if I tried but I did feel good about myself but when I was actually doing karate when I started karate a few years later or a couple of years later I'm talking about yeah
yeah two two years later I couldn't do the splits I couldn't get down that far as I could when I was 11 I never had I had the flexibility to kick at my head level but didn't have my flexibility to kick like really high not about hurting myself so I would do it but I'd hurt myself doing it but then I'd recover quickly because I was just young I was able to recover but but yeah kicking high was never really a thing for me I'll do and I practiced I spent
hours practicing at home and everything but I was never the thing is the way I see it right is and I had this when I was doing boxing the boxing blokes saying you need to punch at your when you punch punch at your head height and I said why who am I going to fight that's as short as me unless I'm going to go into school and pick on some 12 year old it's you know I mean I'm sure anyone if I get into fight with anyone it's going to be
someone that's I'm going to have to punch up it that's what I was I was 30 38 at the time 39 so you know I wasn't young but I was kind of trying to explain that I have to prepare for bigger people not someone the same height someone the same height I mean it's what's the chance of someone four foot two you know picking on me that's what I am I'm four foot two so you don't realize that dear you may think I know I come across as being like six
foot six blonde beautiful face obviously but well endowed in all the wrong places but you you don't realize that actually my voice does not match how I look how can you be well endowed in all the wrong places that was a point that was supposed to be humorous I don't look I think the good thing is if you never if you never know what I look like I can be whatever you want not that it should me really make any difference but I listen to the radio so I've got a
radio a couple of radio people I listen to and not one of them does now look like how he looks because I've looked to see what he looks like but he didn't I saw a picture of him and that's not him how can that be him he's he's just not him and it's weird a couple of a couple of times that's happened and I've like but you sound so young that is something a lot of radio presenters and I don't know about female presenters but the the male presenters a lot
of them seem to sound a lot younger than they are I've not done a survey I've not listened to every single radio presenter but I have had decades of hearing radio shows and that seems to be the common thread also they do want to have personalities and they're everyone has a personality but they kind of got a they're personable is that the right word personable in a way that I guess they need to be and you don't want to think back to what I could have done with my life I
wish I'd kind of gone in the direction of maybe radio you know when I was young when I was kind of left school maybe try and get on some training scheme and a radio station and the problem is is one of the problems was because of my moods because I did think about it maybe having a radio show when I was in my 20s or whether or not I'd be able to have a radio show because I did have a friend that worked for the BBC and she was a producer
so I kind of I played with the idea of maybe suggesting it maybe even get my foot in there you know is on some level and radio was strong in the 90s it was still very strong I think it's coming back to being strong again if you can hear the doggy in the background you know that's another dog very similar to Logie beautiful soppy dog but big strong doesn't like other dogs but really gentle like really gentle dog now Vinnie he's a soppy dog to other people not soppy to me
though and he's not he's he's soppy to some dogs but other dogs he doesn't like he as he's got older he's become more fussy and the last year has been different to any other year I don't really know why you know he barks at dogs for no reason but he seems to he doesn't do quite as bad I think he's calming down a little bit now maybe he's gone through a period maybe he's uh I mean what is he 7 14 21 it'll be four years old at the end of
february I think or the end of january february march something like that four years old which makes him 7 14 21 7 14 28 that's an easy way to do it so he's nearly 30 in dog years that's quite a there's a little bit quite a calming age isn't it I think I was a bit calmer when I was 30 and I was when I was like 24 I don't think I was I know I was I'm h-a-b-b-y so what Halloween Halloween costumes do you remember from childhood you know I
don't remember ever going out on Halloween but why that why do I not remember it that's what's a weird thing because you think it'd be something I'd remember I mean Halloween isn't the the major event it is in like America America or I don't maybe parts of America Halloween is a big a big deal and it's not ignored here I mean you know a lot of people still get into it and they love it but it's not I think it was a bigger deal in the 80s than it is now
and also adults I noticed I didn't notice it in the 80s but I think in the 90s 2000s I noticed that adults used to celebrate Halloween getting dressed up going to Halloween parties I mean there is a lady called what's her name she was a waitress at the comedy club and she dressed up as a vampire in a corset and like fangs and blood dripping down her face and I still think of her honestly it was it was amazing she just really was amazing like every other people dressed up I
didn't dress up I'm not a dressy up person I mean I used to dress up as women but when I was doing drama I've talked about that that was just just for fun but that was I was at school and I was just messing around with the makeup and the clothes and there was like so many different things to put on but I think when I left school I don't know I would say probably definitely once I left school I never I never ever wore another dress and which might be
a weird thing to say to some people but yeah I didn't do I I don't know I have had girlfriends and it's good sometimes to wear stuff and not just as a laugh you know I remember once I was when I was working in my last insurance job there was a woman there she was working at the same desk as me in the office call center and she was fuming like she's so angry about so she had a new boyfriend or a boyfriend she'd had for a while and it turned
out that he'd like he liked to dress up in ladies clothes and she was absolutely she was spitting teeth and venom she was everything she was absolutely like she couldn't stop going on about it and I'm like wow I mean it wasn't it was not a work conversation but at the same time he hadn't done anything wrong he just dressed up I guess he did want it to let her know what he liked and she didn't agree I guess but I was like whoa it's it's it yeah I mean everyone's
different but I guess I'm not quite so shockable by stuff like that I mean if it's something you don't like just no no thanks next it's like no no you're right I'm not not really into that it's like being tied up and stuff like that I'd no no no it's not that I need to be in control but I need to be in control of myself I don't want to be in control of anybody else but do need to have control of my own myself take that away and I got
nothing so I need to you know I'm not giving away my control for me to anyone unless literally you know I was arrested or whatever then I wouldn't have any control would I but handcuffs why why do they have to handcuff people behind their back like the police why not you know for okay a serious situation I get it but if it's just a standard thing why can't use handcuffs in front you know if you put them into a police car or into a police van they can't do anything and
you're just arresting them because of some something small like not non-aggressive why handcuff them I mean if I got arrested I wouldn't need handcuffing it's like what am I going to do run away look at me how far am I going to get you know it's just like I don't know just I didn't think I'd be talking about handcuffs today Halloween costumes yeah so I honestly don't remember now this is it's not a cop-out it's genuine I don't remember ever dressing up I'm a bit of a I suppose I'm a
bit of a spoiled sport maybe or a bit of um a non-team player I've never dressed up at work other people have I guess I'm a non-participator I don't know I think like with work putting on you know a shirt and tie and trousers and nice shoes is for me a costume you know when I was working that was me dressing up every day I didn't want to dress up in anything different because when I got out of work I would chuck that stuff off because that was not how I
dressed I'm not a smart dresser I'm really not I'm wearing a tie I don't think I'm ever going to wear a tie again I mean I suppose unless I have to but I don't don't foresee that ties never like ties never when I was a security guard we had those um pin on ties and I couldn't figure out why or what the hell was that about it's basically in case someone grabs your tie and they just pulls off so they can't get a hold of you so okay it's a good
idea yeah I remember someone saying to me once it was in the office what was it security said you need to do your top button up I said no I don't and they didn't know what to say like no but you do I said no I don't that's why I just I did the tie up higher and that that covered the the gap that you could see I'd be you can't you but you'd have to the top I said I can't breathe with the top button I cannot have my my
neck restricted like that well get a looser get a looser shirt then there's going to be a gap isn't there so that gap you don't want will be there whichever way you look at it and then they do things like oh you're not allowed to chew gum this is insecurity you're not allowed to chew gum and so I just had to put my foot down sometimes I said look because at work we're in a work environment yeah this is work at Canary Wharf and there's a lot of guards it was
a high a high risk situation at that time 1996 and so everything was a bit serious and I was doing security for a newspaper group the mirror group actually and so my supervisor said you can't can't chew gum and I thought about it and I looked at him and said you know I'll tell you what here's how it works everything outside of my mouth is within your control everything inside my mouth is within my control and he looked at me like oh he didn't know what to do with that I
said you can control what goes outside my mouth I think it was a bit too weird a statement for him I ended up getting on quite well with this bloke but another time he said he kept a bit picky on me at the beginning I went in there and he said uh you're you forgot you haven't had a shave I said I know he said you have to be clean shaven he said no no I don't he said in the manual they had a manual you have to be clean shaven
every day for work I said what's the alternative he said what do you mean I said well you could be clean shaven or or you can have a full beard I said yeah I said I'm growing a beard oh he didn't know what to do with that either here's is one thing I did I remember I got I got in late from work so I'd gone away for lunch got in about 15 20 minutes late back for lunch this was a different company and my boss my immediate supervisor was waiting
for me there's Arthur Arthur and he says to me will you be Newland call me Newland pronounce it wrong but just that's not that's all we're not in the army here mate Newland and he said where you been I said I've been out for lunch he said you're 15 minutes late I said I know but I got he said you better have a good excuse I said I got a really good excuse Arthur he said what is it then and he stands there with his arms crossed tapping his foot like
what cliche tapping his foot how dare you tap your foot at me and I said to be honest mate um I just spent all lunch trying to find something to buy you for your birthday present now he didn't know that I knew it was his birthday like in a couple of days time and he just smiled just got out of my way and I went back to work he didn't he didn't know what to do with that it's just you know I had to buy him a birthday present after that
didn't I a penny chew or something probably a pack of Smarties actually probably a pack of Smarties but I probably ate most of them out of there that would be something I would have done back then so yeah hope this is terrible isn't it I'm not very good at this answer Halloween I mean it's definitely trick or treat was a thing so I remember it I just maybe I went around with my little brother to do trick-or-treating because he was he would have been old enough to do that when I
was in my teens so eight when he was born so when I was for like what 13 or 8 9 10 11 12 he'd be five so maybe I went around with him I don't know why I think I might have actually got the the fake blood and the Dracula teeth just generally just like it might not have had anything to do with Halloween it was just because I wanted to I was into vampires so sorry about that I can't think of really have any much of a memory of childhood
Halloween I'm disappointed in myself in fact hope when this recording finishes I'm going to put myself on the naughty step Anne asks what is your favorite scary movie anything involves weddings romance movies they scare me um scary movie if you go back so I think I'd have answered this at different stages of my life Alien completely scared me when I first watched it when I was a kid zombie flesh eaters all those old zombie movies that were banned that I watched that were really graphic and scared me um I'm trying
to think I think some of the ghosts ghost movies like uh or when you know when people start acting strange that I find a little bit disturbing a little bit scary um yeah that that some of those haunted movies where there's sounds and there's it they become a little bit this is kind of a certain formulaic measure to them I would say I'm going to what I'm going to do google most popular horror horror movies I'm just going to skip through because I just want to see 200 best horror movies
of all time this is Rotten Tomatoes so I can't one of my favorite horror movies I can say off the top of my head was Cabin in the Woods or The Cabin in the Woods and it wasn't scary I don't really find horror movies scary anymore unless it's real life unless it's like really real so anything with monsters that don't scare me um but if it's something if that I won't watch stuff like that I won't watch you know someone being kidnapped or someone being like yeah if it's if it's
I got a little I found the Saw movies to be hard hard going yeah and there was the other ones where um I forget what they're called but the what His House apparently the number one movie is called His House and that was 2020 wow okay I have to look that up that's on Netflix I've not seen that Under the Shadow okay so there's all these movies I've not seen Get Out now Get Out was really good really really really good movie I don't know I liked it I mean I
found it to be very very good um I don't know if you've seen it and Babadook isn't it Babadook the Christmas oh maybe not so I'm just having a quick look I really really used to love the old horror movies the Hammer House horror movies black and white or you know things like with Christopher Reeve Christopher Reeve Christopher Reed uh Vincent Price they didn't necessarily scare me but just having a look at some of the ones I'm just going through it Jaws apparently they classed Jaws as a horror movie that
was scary it was I'm sorry when I watched that that was scary but at the same time it can be avoided you know if a shark's out to get you there's ways to avoid meeting the shark Psycho it was freaky Psycho is a very very freaky creaky movie old but yeah very freaky they've got down here King Kong as a horror movie I never thought King Kong being horror Halloween not really a big fan of slasher movies I've just genuinely not really ever been that into them um I've never seen
Rose from His Baby and I know it's supposed to be one of the worst horriblest ever films as far as for horror and I'm not going to watch it just it's got the word baby in it I don't want to know um oh yeah uh oh what's it called there was there was a one there was a few and anything that has real life or not real life but like reenacted horrible stuff you know where it doesn't involve monsters but humans doing horrible things I don't don't necessarily like that can
you make a bit more noise please Vinnie I'm just looking the cabinet of Caligari 1919 1919 okay so I'm just looking through this it's I liked it like the newer version of like a few years back I like that that was good and it too I didn't I didn't wasn't I don't think it was good as the first one but it's still I know it's a remake and everything but it's the the first one was a remake from early 80s I think the Invisible Man now I didn't find that to
be a horror movie but it was a horror movie wasn't it and I didn't realize it wasn't just about someone going becoming invisible he completely went um very unwell ah so the fly the one in the 80s I love that movie I didn't find it scary but I did like I really liked it a lot alien yeah that alien oh I was way too young to be watching that I think it was like 1979 or something it's like but I did yeah it was good but at the same time I
was not prepared for I'm not even going to tell you what the scene is if you haven't seen it just because if you don't know it's coming it's it's one of the most shocking things I've ever seen like at that time I was just not expecting it and I like I like stuff that I don't expect you know in a movie I mean Carrie yeah I've seen both I mean I quite like the both the original and the one after the birds not really that how much water can that little
penguin drink yeah Alfred Hitchcock I'm surprised I haven't redone his movies maybe they don't need to be redone but yeah not really the birds yeah not that bothered I mean they're very atmospheric the music how much noise can he make like chomp chomp chomp chomp then lots of water and then flapping his ears and now he's climbing onto my table looking for something to eat even though he's got a plate of food right down there and he's oblivious stop talking about him this naughty boy nightmare on elm street oh yeah
I didn't that was yeah I found that scary um yeah us oh us 2019 that was yeah that actually was freaky I'm gonna use the word freaky being freaked out rather than scared is unsettling yeah unsettling movie um but just trying to look see what others I mean day of the triffids I found a bit weird as well but yeah I loved the fly that was Jeff Goldman called was that David Cronenberg oh I didn't know that that was a good movie invasion of the body snatchers 1978 wow I just
the invisible man that was different though that was the cabin in the woods so this is down as number 66 the reason why I like cabin in the woods it's not that I found it scary now if for me it's not about being scared it's about being interested if a movie can catch my interest where I'm focused on it then it's done its job you know for me if I don't want to just get up and do something else or do something else at the same time cabin in the woods
which was 2011 was what is still one of my favorite horror movies because it's funny it's just different from any other horror movie if I wouldn't really even call it a horror movie but it is you know um scary I don't know I'm sure the dead if you've never seen Shaun of the Dead it's really good it's funny though and this horror movie but it's not scary it's uh Simon Pegg I'm just I'm just looking through here Dawn of the Dead so these were the ones that were just yeah they
were really yeah they were they're quite scary I would say there was one movie that really was freaked me out a little bit and it was based in a hotel room I think it might have been called a room something and it's very strange it's basically it's quite a famous actor and he was just him in this room in a hotel room and the whole night and it's very very weird very weird the witch was good I like that um but it wasn't it wasn't enjoyable it was tense a little
bit too tense 10 Cloverfield Lane with John Goodman really good movie I'd recommend that to anyone it's really good and there is tense and John Goodman scary scary in that I really I don't want to spoil it um if you haven't seen it it's worth a watch 10 Cloverfield Lane and yeah John Goodman that version of John Goodman you would not want to cross Mandy um I don't even remember that one okay Attack the Block that's quite a good movie actually it was funny and it's just like a british british
movie aliens attacking and stuff so that was good I quite like that I'm just trying to think Misery oh again okay not not that was probably one of the top movies I've seen um when it comes to freak that was freaky uh suspenseful yeah that was that's among the top horror movies I would say because of it just it was a great for me all I'm saying this is my opinion although it is in the it's number 83 in the top 200 I've not seen it for years Mr Man I
still remember certain things it's like Kathy Bates and James Caan what a movie wow um I'm just looking at some of these other movies they're quite old The Invitation nope that's not the right so there's quite a few that aren't on here that I did like over the years Zombieland I like Zombieland wasn't scary though but that's Woody Harrelson Jesse L Eisenberg Emma Stone it's it's quite it's funny but I wouldn't say it was scary what's this okay right I'm just looking yeah there's just there's a few okay if I
was going to choose I've just seen on the screen it helps me being reminded of stuff that I've seen if I I know this isn't your well the question you asked what is my favorite scary movie so this is my answer an American Werewolf in London from 1981 my favorite horror movie ever and it was scary when I watched it you know first time I watched it but it was also very funny brilliant brilliant movie I would argue one of the yeah for me the best horror movie that was scary
now Cabin in the Woods wasn't scary yeah I didn't find it scary but yeah an American Werewolf in London that is my answer to you for that I just want to have a quick look to see what else there is on this list so the evil dead Dracula pages from a virgin's diary nope never heard of that before no a razorhead what was the what was those movies with a razorhead in I found they were freaky as well okay another one of my favorite horror movies I like comedy movies as
you know comedy horror Tucker and Dale versus evil and that did a very similar thing to Cabin in the Woods it turned it on its head turned the whole horror cliche on his head loved it just loved it in fact I want to watch it again that was 15 years ago 2010 that's ridiculous how can it be that long ago I'd only been making podcasts for four years at that point yeah I think it's called a tale of two the omen the omen the original omen yeah that was that was
scary I didn't like that there's a certain level of scariness that I just didn't enjoy when I was a kid and so I wouldn't put it down as a favorite anything because I didn't like it so the omen didn't like it the exorcist I watched that when I was an adult I just yeah it was it was just horrible wasn't a nice movie it's just there I don't think it really had any redeeming qualities personally it was just the didn't enjoy it I did laugh at some parts as well I
don't think it's supposed to be funny Candyman yeah watch Candyman 2021 that's that was quite a good movie actually oh here's another one of my favorite old times it's called the others it's Nick Nicole Kidman 2001 2001 that's that's nearly 20 years ago I was over 20 years ago 24 years ago I need to stop I'm obsessed with time now on a it's ridiculous the others if I was going to just describe it is watch it if no one's told you what's happened what happens in it brilliant brilliant movie but
something that I could only really watch once great movie though and Nicole Kidman so well everyone everyone in it's good but Nicole Kidman's just great in that though it's really really good movie Fright Night 1985 love that movie I was a kid and yeah I didn't find it scary though there was a movie I'd found scary actually I don't know if it was a movie or there was a TV show that I used to find scary called Tales of the Unexpected and yeah oh I found it 1408 which is John
Cusack and Samuel L Jackson it's basically he checks into a hotel into a one-room and freaky but I yeah whatever I was talking about a minute ago that was why really I can't remember what I was talking about oh yeah Tales of the Unexpected seriously some of those because it was like half an hour shows used to freak me out I don't think I should have been watching them but they were on fairly early on a Sunday evening like 7 o'clock or something and I'd have this tune anyway it was
a tune musical and even now I sometimes watch it if it's on it's still freaky it's really weird it was done by Roald Dahl he wrote I don't know if he wrote all the episodes but he definitely wrote all the episodes for the first series maybe he wrote all of them and he had one heck of a mind that man next question sorry I don't know if I really covered that Jackie ghosts magic do you believe in the supernatural I wouldn't say that I believe do you believe I don't believe
or disbelieve I I believe in magic in a sense of magical things do happen and I used to be into magic like we're not into the occult and magic and stuff like that when I was a probably about 12 about 11 about 12 years old I was 11 12 I was really into that stuff and I was reading books on it and I was practicing spells and stuff like that burying onions all things like that and I was fascinated by it but then I realized after reading quite a few of
the books that a lot of it is thinking is how we think and a lot of that thinking processes you find in hypnosis and in I don't like NLP or cognitive cognitive behavioral therapy or psychology or if you go in a direction of the secret you know and like you whatever they call that manifestation so there's so many connections between that and some of the old magic which doesn't it's like actually it's what you're thinking so and it comes down Oh nightingale kind of broke it down to a very short
sentence we become what we think about so I realize this probably isn't what you're asking but this is kind of how I see it is we get more of what we focus on we get what we give back so we get the energy that we give so be kind to people they'll be kind to you but it's for me it's is the additional like a little side you know little bit of information at the side to not be kind to people for them to be kind to you which is the
extra addition so to be kind not wanting not expecting kindness back to wish someone well but not expecting them to wish you well back or to you know wish or hope for someone to have prosperity and to celebrate because I I love it when people are doing well someone's you know got a job today or got you know something's come really nice in there in their life like good for you never jealous it's never like oh how come you've got it and I haven't got it I don't I'm not saying
I've never been jealous I'm just saying in these days in those kind of situations it's like actually feeling feeling positive towards someone else for a good something nice that's given them some pleasure and happiness actually feels quite nice myself it feels nice inside it took a while it's only been last 20 years that I've really started like focusing on that so I spent 20 years trying to help people nearly 20 years and I didn't I guess when I started I did believe helping other people would help me but that wasn't
the reason I was doing it I think my reason for it was there's nothing more important than helping other people and I know if you read self-help books they say yep helping yourself more important helping other people charity starts at home and all those cliches but actually helping other people helps nothing helps us more than helping others that that's my belief system I guess so even if it means you know like helping someone giving someone some food but then it leaves me short of food I believe that food will come
into my life if food will be there if I need it but that other person might not have eaten for like two days I never go more than four or five hours without eating so that's the way I kind of look at things is that is magic and also the energy you think that look at something the other side of the room and it looks like that's just clear and there's nothing between you in the room maybe or you in the cabinet or you in the television or whatever but there
is there's whole billions and billions of particles of energy that you can't see it's almost like whole universe is you know it's all microscopic between you between us and the wall or the TV so we literally walking through matter is and we're part of that and all says I'm lecturing now follow me we're we're connected that's another thing I've kind of come around to recently it's upon did it for years but we're all related and I know that just being related doesn't necessarily mean that we have to get on you
know lots of people have got family members that they just don't get on very well with but there's a difference to knock on getting on very well with and wishing someone harm so you can still wish someone well and keep away from them if that's necessary so I've got like an estranged family a lot some my family that I haven't seen close relatives I haven't seen for decades but I wish them well genuinely not in a what's-her-name not in Adele in an Adele way you know when she's singing about her
boyfriend that left and he's now with someone else and he wishes her well no he does he doesn't wish him well she wouldn't be writing a song about how he's broken her heart and how can he be with someone new if he wishes her well it's just silly so I did that look at those lyrics once years ago in a podcast but not in that kind of fake way but genuinely like okay this says my brother we grew up together where's my sister you know we spent the first 14 15
years of our lives in the same house sharing the same bathroom going on the same holidays maybe going to the same schools see each other every day and we go different ways you know perhaps we just don't get on personality wise or for many different reasons but we're still connected and I'm I start to think that I'm starting to think that way about everyone people that I don't know maybe it was to do the DNA test the other you know a few weeks ago a few months ago we I mean
literally if you keep you we can't go but my my bloodline ends or my particular yeah my twig I'm gonna say twig my twig on the tree ends I guess I'm not even a branch I'm just a twig on a branch my twig ends with me there's no one else comes after me on my little twig but I've got cousins other twigs maybe other maybe family they've had kids and it carries on there but my little twig finishes it can't go any further but if I go back how can it
end there's no end it goes back and it goes back and it goes back so eventually we are all connected is there's no way other than there's no way around it that's the only logical answer to it yeah there's an ending but if you go backwards that massive tree has to start off in the form of I guess a seed doesn't it but if you go back in the timeline all those branches of that tree go back to we're just all connected wherever we are in the world we're all connected
we're family and it's I don't I just find it weird strange to think that that we are literally all connected we're all connected by energy that's a fact that's just something that's been proven so all we affect each other I mean if you walk into a room you don't even have to know the people in the room to gauge the energy if there's two people were arguing or having a an internal row of each other giving each other dirty looks because they'd have been arguing earlier on you can feel it
can't you you cannot feel that tension or if you've got a couple of people flirting with each other or someone is feeling sad or someone is feeling really really happy the energy comes off I'm not saying I could always you know tune in to other people are feeling but sometimes it's so obvious by you know I noticed it when I was in the accident emergency couple years back and seeing people I actually know it's not kept in this summer what we're talking about so being in the hospital this summer seeing
people and realizing that they were they felt alone but they weren't everyone in that hospital was related to each other connected to each other in a kind of a weird way and I don't know that's all right maybe it's just it's a nice way to think perhaps did art that didn't the answer ghost magic do you believe in the supernatural but I think that kind of is kind of supernatural it's instead of for me I'm more interested in what's here than what's not here or if I don't know something I
just said I don't know it what happens when this I don't know the ghosts exist I don't know I don't know I've got no idea I don't know so moving away from I don't know which is very hard for a lot of people to say as it's very hard for a lot of people to accept as well now what would you mean you don't know what do you think it doesn't matter what I think what's your opinion why are you sitting on the fence well first of all I'm not sitting
on the fence I sit on a settee weird thing to say why did that that I see we've got so many splinters up his bum because he's sitting on the fence he won't take a position like first of all it's rude someone's got splinters up their bum help them don't criticize them anyway so yeah I kind of I figure if I don't know something I'm not going to take I don't need to have an opinion and I'm kind of moving towards that I don't know do I believe I'm kind of
moving towards that with belief or beliefs because I'm thinking well what is the difference between what I believe and what I know so I suppose technically you know I believe all we're all connected but I also know we are because scientifically energy we are connected but also hereditary scientifically you go back on the family tree timeline we have to be connected we can't not be a very distantly I mean you know it's not you know you couldn't get that connection through a DNA test but we are still connected to each
other as well as through experience life experience the place you live the people you know the jobs you do there's those things but actually and all the human bodily functions and just being a human we're just in some ways almost identical physically I mean it's differences but generally the main things you know the internal organs the aging process all that stuff is just kind of the same variations of the same thing for everyone I don't know if that's really a good sentence of variations of the same thing it's a ghost
magic I think I think nature is magic I think babies being born is it's a magical thing the reproduction of like all beings it's just it's magic the the growing process that a baby that can't do anything a year later is like a miniature human a miniature human so what do you mean they're always you they're born miniature humans you know they don't look like them today you know a little baby wouldn't be out place in a an alien movie come on so yeah I yeah so believe I don't really
believe in things that I can't know in a sense if I don't know then I don't know people say all happens when this happens if I don't know the answer then I don't know I'm not just gonna believe in something because other people believe in it or just believe in it for it to make myself feel better although I do believe in what we think about affects us affects other people how we treat other people affects their lives affects our lives but I wouldn't say that's a belief as such as
just a fact but a fact that's not really given much energy much attention and this whole manifestation thing is manifesting it it wasn't so I've delved deep deep deep into that over the last few years without a fire five or six years and you know the secret movie that movie called the secret it's almost like well just I want this and then I'll get it it's not like it was magic but then there's a whole magic thing is that if you to get something you have to give up something so
that's what I thought it was to start with and then I delve deeper and deeper and deeper and it's it's just basics basic you need to have trust in yourself you need to really believe the things are going to be good so from that perspective yeah belief I would say instead of believing something that's maybe not necessary believing something that's going to be helpful to you so but then that that is a lot of beliefs are helpful to people so good good for them so I think for me my belief
system is helping people is the best thing I could do with my life even if it's just making silly recordings that maybe helps relax or balls people to sleep or entertains enough to for someone to feel less lonely even you know so I don't think I've actually answered any of these questions I do I'm a poet I do apologize Maria I've already answered your question I'm afraid I answered it about with hope I can't remember ever doing trick-or-treat as a child so although I didn't mention your name when I meant
when I talked about it I didn't I haven't looked that down on the questions that far down Heidi asks you brought healthy food last week I'm laughing as I'm reading this out I remember thinking what is Jason going to do with two cabbages my question is did you succeed in cooking meals for yourself and did you like it brackets I love cooking but couldn't bother if I had to cook just cook for myself the answer is yes and no I did cook for myself but not as much as perhaps I
could have done and I did give some of the food away down to my neighbor downstairs because I wasn't going to use it I didn't want it to go off I don't like chucking food away but yeah so I did cook but I didn't I didn't quite stick my idea of what I was going to do didn't really materialize no I let myself down I'm very very very ashamed yeah I've never really been much of a cook even though I did I did study cooking and I worked in catering but
I didn't just I think it is like cooking for myself I want it to be simple and easy and tasty and healthy and unfortunately it's hard to balance that for something to be healthy and tasty without having you know using any kind of culinary skills I find that difficult the vegetables are easy you know just vegetables are easy just boil them or whatever and then what what to have with the vegetables so I mean it can be simple but it's yeah hmm I've got I've got I'm gonna have to give
it a bit of thought and asks what is your favorite Halloween candy right I mean we'd again on we don't really we don't really have I mean I guess there is we call it sweets here but I don't know what I don't know what kind of stuff that Halloween does I don't really eat much chocolate these days or sweets because of the my blood sugar my blood sugar level so I had to kind of cut down and when it comes to sweets and chocolate I would eat anything you know Easter
was always my favorite time because that's when I bought and Christmas but Easter I'd have an Easter egg every week building up to Christmas to Christmas building up to Easter never been into the like the kind of like chews or gums and stealing packets like caribou never really could see the point of those even when I was a kid I didn't really like that stuff very often and I've also you know got a look after me teeth as well I mean it was a curly whirly frozen in the freezer that
ruined one of my teeth ever since then I don't freeze any I don't freeze chocolate anyway not anymore and that was it tasted nice and it's nice just to crunch it off but also removed half a tooth I like chocolate I suppose my favorite thing would be again I hardly really eat any but I suppose Maltese is crunchy. That would probably be my favorite as far as like chocolate bars but I don't know really.
I don't even know what is available at Halloween.
I know I've got vague memories of seeing Halloween designed sweets packets of sweets for I suppose kids or parents to buy to give out to other kids that do trick-or-treating because I've never been I've never given treats out to anyone so I don't know I mean if and I don't really go out hardly so to like play I get all my food and stuff is delivered so I don't really get to see what's about hmm yeah so I don't and because I didn't really go trick-or-treating but when I was a
kid I'd eat anything that was sweet anything we used to have a little corner shop I'm pretty sure it's the same shop that I ended up working in and it was a chip shop I'm pretty sure it was that same shop that ended up being a chip shop but I used to go in there in the early 80s and it was an old fashioned shop like a counter a wooden counter and all these big plastic tubs see-through full of sweets lots of different lots of different types you know to the
point where you'd have to get onto a ladder to get some of them down and there'd be some on the counter as well so I remember going into there on a I just I've got one memory of going in there on a Tuesday night I think it was and get in a bag of sweets so it'd be like five pence or ten pence worth of sweets and I was excited because Charlie's Angels was going to be on at seven that was and I was just getting the sweets to eat while
I watch that and it'd be in these little white bags these little white paper bags and then put all of them individually in the bag so if I had mint mint sauces or whatever they were called or bonbons strawberry what do we strawberry lemon or just toffee like plain I think I preferred the plain and strawberry I don't think they did chocolate bonbons then they had those monkey nuts which were like well I don't think like monkey nuts but they were like little toffee really hard toffee little ones with chocolate
on our honeycomb that's another thing I used to love sort of like a bar of honeycomb and it literally would stick my mouth together it was it was tasted beautiful felt extremely uncomfortable you know spend the especially if I was at work so sometimes when I was working I'd have a honeycomb bar for after I've had my dinner like my lunch sandwiches and I the honeycomb bar and I would literally spend the rest of the day with my tongue trying to get the honeycomb out from between my teeth and it
was kind of quite a nice distraction to be honest so I suppose if I was going to choose favorite chocolate or sweets what would I want now if I ordered some food now what I want I like a brownie a chocolate brownie that I fell in love with chocolate brownies when I was at school I didn't like school dinners I didn't get school dinners I got sandwiches the whole way through school but once I started working like part-time jobs I could afford to get school dinners if I wanted to and
there might have been a period when I did get some money to go to school dinners I can't remember not near the end so I wasn't really a big fan of the dinners themselves but what I did like was the dessert that I had every day which was this brownie chocolate brownie that was very hard and crispy and phenomenal I mean some people would have it in a bowl with custard no thanks I just have it on its own in a napkin maybe a couple of pieces if I could afford
it loved it absolutely loved it and I think for the last year of school every day that's what I would have it was amazing the only thing I enjoyed maybe the chips were okay sausages maybe I don't know but really loved the brownies but they weren't soft they were crispy and maybe they weren't supposed to be crispy but that's how I liked them and I would oh and he got to they got to know me they'd like just get it for me I'd like the corner bits as well or yeah
