Have you noticed? Do you ever know someone and you meet them and they've always been wearing glasses and when they take the glasses off their eyes just disappear. Like where have your eyeballs gone? It could maybe the magnification or whatever. So I don't know if that happens with me.
Can you see my eyes now? I don't know but if you're watching on video this it's more interesting. It's not because you can see me without glasses. What do I look like without glasses? The thing is I can't actually see myself.
So I'm gonna clean my glasses. Maybe I should do this without glasses. Maybe I don't need glasses for this.
What do you think? Glasses or no glasses? And I got this as well. I'm trying not to bang the microphone because I've already done that once. I noticed right at the beginning of making recordings I make a lot of sounds a lot of noises that are unnecessary.
I do edit them out. Sometimes I wonder what if I forgot or if I just left it in to see whether or not it would surprise people. All the weird sounds I make.
My hat came here got delivered yesterday. Yeah see the glasses are so old now that even with both a this which is clean and I suppose alcohol wet wipe thing still doesn't really clear still Should I take them off? Can you see my eyes without them on? See I can't see myself really. One of the reasons I wear glasses when I God Vinnie's hairs are getting everywhere.
Honestly, it's like he's molten melting molten weather. I just feel like his hairs are everywhere. Unless they're my hairs which could be.
So this is Let Me Bore You To Sleep. What is it? What is Let Me Bore You To Sleep? Basically, it is why is my computer making a noise? I guess it is what it says. It's just me talking boringly about my life about me.
The only thing I've really got any interest in is me. Because I'm very self centered. And although the center is nice and soft and cozy.
Cushiony, sweet. I don't know what that means. So some of the AI at the moment is getting very funny.
There's a lot of AI videos. I don't know if you've seen them on TikTok or not. It's more Instagram, really, and YouTube.
Yeah, some of it's really funny. And it looks so realistic. If you'd have shown that 30 years ago, if you go back in time, 30 years ago, and you showed what some of this stuff, the there's a chiropractor, for example, that does does like body adjustments on elderly people and ends up chucking them through a window or into a wall.
It's just AI. It's not real. Okay.
But that chiropractor would get arrested and go to prison. If that video became available 30 years ago, 20 years ago. There'd be no there'd be no defense.
We clearly saw you do it. In that case, where's the victims? I don't know. She's probably still in a wall.
I don't know where she is. Like I just it's just ridiculous. I like absurdity.
So but what this is, and the background will change, I'm going to get some curtains or I suppose it could paint the wall. I'm going to Yeah, get a decent background. But this is like the opposite to AI.
This is, I mean, there's going to come a time when I might be one of the few humans left on YouTube. And it will be predominantly avatars, and the podcast will probably be predominantly just created audio with the same voice as a presenter. But with the content created by AI, maybe an interview just transcribed.
And then, you know, so just I think human beings doing this stuff is going to reduce dramatically. And when things are less available, when things become scarce, I would say they become more valuable. That's what happens with rare metals or rare, you know, jewels and stuff like that.
I don't know. Apparently diamonds are not rare at all this. There's loads but they're restricted in order to keep the prices up.
I don't know how true that is. Possibly not even worth a penny each. Nevermind millions.
But I don't know how true that is. I mean, things are worth whatever people pay for them, aren't they really, I guess. Never had a diamond, never seen a diamond.
Although I might have seen loads, but not really knew that I'd see them. And how many people have diamond rings, when they get married? How many people have I seen that were married? Probably thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands during my lifetime. But you can't just stop someone in the street and say, Oh, can I have a quick look at your hand, please? There's nothing weird.
I just want to look at your ring. You can't walk up to people in the street and say, Do you mind if I have a look at your ring? So this is kind of like being a human. Now with the way I've mentioned this yesterday, and I'm probably going to still mention it because you won't be able to tell the difference.
You may still not be able to tell the difference already. I think I can tell the difference. And I think a lot of that is because the AI videos that are coming out, they're not putting any effort into the dialogue to make the voice sound real.
But there's someone that does do that. She's got an avatar, and she's a real person, but she now just uses an avatar on her AI YouTube channel. And she lets everyone know that it's an avatar.
So not only does it look like her, it sounds like her. The inflection is the same. There's a few little, little bits that are detectable, but not a lot of it.
And you might think, well, what does it matter, then? Let's just go all AI and not bother. Just clone your voice, JJ. And well, I have cloned my voice on it in 11 labs.
I cloned it. And I could do something very expensive. But you can, you know, I could put together a podcast.
Episode. But what's the point? And it won't be me. And if it's the only the only time I can see that being of use to me personally, is if for some reason I wasn't able to talk, then yeah, I can create, you know, I'll have an avatar or for the podcast, have my cloned voice, which will get better, the cloning will get better.
And because I got thousands and thousands of hours of me talking. And I do own the rights to my voice. So I suppose I could technically, if I was able to write, then I could have still do the podcast.
You know, I mean, I think so that's not really what this is about. But, but, but, but, but what's this? What's going on here? I saw it looks like it wasn't done. Good.
I did a Q&A Friday yesterday. It's a little bit late. It lasted an hour and 39 minutes, 40 seconds.
The day before I did Thursday, well no, Thursday, I did Thursday throwbacks, which was about TV shows from 1980. It lasted two hours, 32 minutes and 53 seconds. That's a long time.
That's a long recording. And but then I did a let me, let me bore your pain away. 34 minutes, 57 seconds.
So I just want to just have a look at what I've done the last week. So it's Friday, Thursday, Wednesday, Tuesday, Monday, Monday. So yeah, so this week since last Monday, I've done 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 8 recordings since last Monday.
It's now Sunday, the 26th of October. I watched a Fabio Wardley fight last night. It was pay-per-view.
And I'll be honest, I did not really enjoy the undercard. I'm not sure it should have been a pay-per-view. I'm starting to think that they're taking advantage of the customers a little bit.
Because it costs money to be a part of the zone. So to even watch anything, it's a monthly subscription, which I pay because boxing is the only sport I like. But then they charge money on top for big fights.
And although this was a big fight, it wasn't a world title fight. Yeah, they'll show a world title fight for America, and they won't charge anything extra for it, because it's in America. I don't know, I just don't.
I mean, I'm a big fan of Fabio Wardley, and I would pay for the pay-per-view if I'm able to, because I've been following him from right at the beginning. And also, he's local to where I live. So he's like a local hero.
And he will be fighting for all of the world titles in the heavyweight division next year sometime against Oleksandr Usyk, unless he doesn't. So if if Usyk decides he doesn't want to fight him, he'll have to give up the belt and Fabio Wardley will become, I don't know, WBA, he'll become the world champion anyway in that one belt. So yeah, I mean, technically, he does have two, because he had the WBO interim as well.
So surely, yeah, so if he kept that belt, and Usyk decided to fight someone else, and kept those belts, so kept all three belts, but you know, Fabio had the fourth belt. Then when it come to Fabio's next one, which would be WBO, he'd have to give his belt up again. So he'd have two belts, if Usyk didn't want to fight Fabio.
I don't personally see why Usyk wouldn't want to fight him. And yeah, in a way, I kind of hope that he doesn't, so that Fabio can get the belt, and then defend it against someone else, because I wouldn't put anyone, any heavyweight boxer in the world at the moment to beat Usyk. He's just that good.
Anyway, I'm sure you don't want to hear me talk about boxing, but I do want to talk about boxing. I love my boxing. But I just didn't enjoy the, yeah, the undercard.
I know they have to have an undercard, but in the old days, and I'm talking the 90s, they used to show one fight, the main card, on ITV Boxing on Saturday night. So, for example, Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank, they would watch that, they would show that fight at nine o'clock, or 10 o'clock, whatever time it was on, they would have a time slot, and they would show that fight.
And they would make sure that it was available to be watched at that time.
So they'd start it, and it'd just be before the ring walk. And that was good. I realize you don't get to see the new up-and-coming people.
It's just, I don't know. For me, it's impatience. I want to see the main card.
Unless, of course, I'm interested in what's going on elsewhere. So, if it's a really big battle, like there's one in November in Riyadh, there's loads of good fights on there. In fact, they're all big fights.
It's Benavidez against Yard. Yard is, well, Benavidez is going to win. That's for one of the Cruiserweight titles, world titles.
And Haney's fighting someone else, and someone else. So even, what's his name that used to be the light heavyweight champion? He's on there. Like, he's not even being listed, but he's fighting on that night.
Former unified world champion. He's just, I guess it's like a warm-up fight for him. So, that'll be a really good one.
I hope it's on at a good time. Because I imagine their audience is America. So I hope that they put it on at a, why can't they have it on at like two in the afternoon? So it's available for America.
I know that not everyone can watch boxing at two in the afternoon in the UK. But like, it's a Saturday. I know some people can't, but you know, probably quite a lot of people can on a Saturday, maybe.
I don't know. What do I know? I don't know what everyone's life is. So.
So where are my glasses? Oh, that's better. I can actually see what I'm doing now. Hi.
Oh, it gives me eye strain. If I try and, if I go too long without wearing them, my eyes get, my eyes hurt a little bit. So what I normally, well, no, this is what I've tried to do.
I've tried to kind of get some type of routine. With the Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcast. And I'm not sure which one I did first.
I think it was Q&A Friday. So I've been doing Q&A Fridays for about a year, year and a half now, maybe longer. It's basically on my Facebook group.
If you join, it's called Jason Newland's Boring Group. I just, on a Monday, usually, Monday or Tuesday, I post to say, is there any questions for this week's Q&A Friday? And I put the date when it's going to be on. And I normally get a few questions.
Sometimes I get none. Sometimes I get loads. It just depends.
But I usually get a few. Yeah, there's been probably one time when I didn't get any. So it's not really very often.
Hmm. Maybe that's because I didn't leave it till after I'd done it. Maybe.
So then so I get the questions and I answer the questions. That's the Q&A Friday. Years ago, I started a Sleepy Boring Objects podcast.
Where is it? And yes, Sleepy Boring Objects. Yeah. And basically, I just chose some topics.
I just talked about a subject. So the first one I did was rain. And it's the 20th of September, 2021.
And I just talked about rain for 48, no, 31 minutes and 11 seconds. Just talk about rain. And the idea behind it really was to just choose a subject or an object.
Talk about it. And my experiences with that particular object or something or what I thought about the object or what I thought maybe the object represents or, you know. And number two is hair.
That was nearly half an hour. And so they're roughly about 30, 40 minutes each. So I did quite a few of them.
And then and they're all out of out of order on this. I need to sort them out on a podcast. So much to do.
Yes, it's roughly 30 to 40 minutes long. These let me. Although they're probably longer now.
Yeah, they're much longer now because they're now they're part of the Let Me Bore You To Sleep kind of family. Because it wasn't to start with, really. It was but a kind of separate thing.
So, yes, I got one about called Karate, 7th of July this year. So it's Let Me Bore You To Sleep number 1389. And it was two hours, two minutes and 37 seconds second, which is long.
And so, yeah, they're definitely increased in length to usually hour and a half plus, which is about the average length, I would say, of the let me boy to sleeps. They usually, but always. And always mean sometimes a lesson less than an hour, but predominantly way more.
So I've done another one here. Monday's boring objects, not even put what it is, but it's two hours, five minutes, 21 seconds. Why didn't I put what it was? Doc job, Dick, Doc job, sorry, one hour, 30 minutes, homes.
So this was Let Me Bore You To Sleep 1305, 17th of March 2025, two hours and 22 seconds. That's long. These so if it's a subject that I actually know something about, or if it's an object to do with my life, just look at these.
It's another one. IQ test. 28th of October 2024.
Duration two hours, 14 minutes and 80 seconds and eight seconds. It's an IQ test and I just said 80 seconds. And the IQ test, I say IQ test, I just had to count to 100.
So yeah, Michael Jackson hour and a half. So yeah, wow. Tea bags.
Who'd have thought this was a 16th of September last year 2024. Who'd have thought that anybody could talk about tea bags for two hours and 13 minutes and 13 seconds. What did I talk about? How? But then you might say, yeah, but you spent half an hour talking about nothing.
And you're not even started the recording yet, really. Yeah, I suppose you could argue that. But that is what this is.
This is. It's not really necessarily structured. But what I did is.
I started doing the sleepy boring objects called it Monday's boring objects. And oh, I got a crumb from a bit of cookie I had earlier. Oh, well, I don't have to worry about stuff like that when it's just the audio.
So I started posting them on Mondays and make recording on Mondays. Although there's been a few times I've had to miss it due to stuff that's gone on, especially well, just things that have gone on this summer and last year and just various different things. And then I started doing Trivia Tuesday.
I don't know how many Trivia Tuesdays I have done. Trivia. Tuesday.
Trivia Tuesday. All right, I'm searching in the wrong podcast. That's probably why it's not coming up.
Probably. So Trivia Tuesday is basically. I try to think of a very random subject.
And just, you know, I mean, I do use Q, chat GPT to look up the facts of the subject. So yeah, I'm using AI, but I'm not using AI as in. I'm not AI, my voice isn't AI.
And what I'm saying isn't created by AI. But the list that I'm reading out on this particular Trivia Tuesday will be helped with AI, because how long would it take me to get together a list? Or even to search through through Google to get hold of that stuff. It's just easier.
So there, I'm just looking how many I've done. How many Trivia Tuesdays have I done? How many Q&A Fridays have I done? Wow. A lot.
So Trivia Tuesdays, we've got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38. I might have got that many. That seems weird.
2024. So Trivia Tuesday, Australia. I'm pretty sure that's one of the first ones I did.
I'm looking at the screen by the way, I can't look at you and the screen. Although there is a way using AI, where I can look at the screen and I can look at you and the screen. I can adjust my eyes in a video.
So it's looking at you when actually I'm not looking at you. But again, I'm not going to do that. So now we're looking at the one down there.
No, I'm not going to do that. So 2024, 2024. There's a lot.
So December 2024. I'll just get an idea. I've done the most weeks of this year, November 2024, October 2024.
Okay, so since from the looks of this, since October, October 2024, I've been doing the Trivia Tuesdays. So you can work that out yourself. It's now, or it's now nearly, yes, it's October 2025.
So there's probably at least 45, maybe, maybe more. Because there's been a few, a few that I've missed, a few weeks I've missed. And then there's Whisper Wednesday, which is, not everybody loves the whisper recordings.
Vinnie's asleep underneath the desk. He's so cute. He's listening to me as well.
Because I can hear, I can see his ear twitching. I can see it. I really can.
So I would, with the Whisper Wednesday, it's just exactly the same as a Let Me Bore You To Sleep. And everything I do is softly spoken, but it's proper like this, whisper all the way through. And it's exactly the same as any other of my recordings.
It's just whispered. So I'm talking about what's going on, what's going on in the day. You know, how I'm feeling, what I've got planned, what I've got planned.
You know what I mean? And then I started doing like a Saturday summary. Although that's not kind of locked in. Sunday papers.
So I started doing Sunday papers and I've done that for, I've done quite a few versions of that. Sunday's papers. So I started doing Sunday papers in 2024 as well.
Blimey. So I've done one, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30. Blimey, I've done quite a few.
I'd have to write it down. I'd have to kind of keep a track. But yeah, since December 2024, apparently, I didn't realize I've been doing it so long.
But it hasn't been every Sunday. So I've done quite a few. It's really weird how when you do something, you keep doing it and it doesn't feel like I've done a lot.
But then before I know it, especially like with the Let Me Boyd Sleep, yesterday's, yesterday's episode was 1472. And I started in October. It was October, March 2018.
I think it was. Yes, 2018. So, I mean, technically, we're not far off the 10 year mark, which is ridiculous.
Absolutely ridiculous. Just, I'm sorry, it is. The idea that I've been doing the Let Me Boyd Sleep for 10 years nearly, or eight years in March, and we're now in November nearly.
It just doesn't, doesn't just know. So, yeah, this is the most consistent I've ever been with any of my podcasts. I mean, I've been doing recordings for nearly 20 years.
But the Let Me Boyd Sleep is a one, it's probably the one I enjoyed the most. I have enjoyed the most, because it can be lots of different things. And then the Let Me Boyd Your Pain Away, that's something that I do also enjoy.
And that's a mixture of this, but more focused towards, you know, chronic pain and reducing that and, you know, different techniques. And also, just by focusing on my voice. I mean, hopefully, by focusing on my voice, you get to relax, get to calm down, you get to feel more peaceful, your mind slows down, maybe you might fall asleep if that's what you want to do.
But you feel more relaxed, that's that's kind of at least the bare minimum. Or I'm company. Because I'm doing this, I do it so regularly, nearly every day, when things are going okay.
Sometimes I can't do it every day because of my medical conditions, my mental health conditions. But outside of that, or if there's something going on, you know, like this summer, I had quite a difficult time with my unwell neighbour. He had a more difficult time than me, but it just meant that I was back and forward to the hospital.
And I couldn't really, I didn't have the energy to do much in the way of recording. Although I did do some. I mean, we look in July 2025, which is kind of weird when you think about it.
Because I put in July 2025. Why is it done? July 2025, I did do. Okay, it's probably the best way is to just go backward, go backward.
October, October, come on, come on, come on. Right, for some reason, I'm not even putting the date on them once. That was my little period I went without putting the date on.
I've gone back to put in the day, I'm gonna keep saying the same thing, September, June. I never used to put a date on any of my recordings in the past, like back in the day. I saw this kid, there was a bunch of kids walking through the park, and I'm just walking through the park.
And I think I was with Vinnie and I think there's about three kids and one of them looks at the tree pointing to this tree and they couldn't have been more than 10. I was and he's saying, Oh, remember, look, back in the day, we used to we used to swing in that tree. And the other thing, when was that? I said, Oh, in the summer.
This was September time. Back in the day, since when does back in the day mean like three weeks ago? 10 year old saying back in the day. I guess they're just copying and copying what I hear.
There's a phrase that I can't get my head around is there was a she got evicted from Big Brother on Friday, this lady, and she had this thing I heard her say it twice. Once about someone else like, so Big Brother said, you can't do this or whatever. You know, over the loudspeaker, if you've ever watched the show.
And she said to the person next door, man said what man man said what he said. And I thought, what's that supposed to mean? Does that mean something? Man said what he said. And then I saw a clip where she says the same thing about herself.
I said what I said. So that's obviously her little catchphrase. I said what I said, man said what he said.
What was it supposed to mean? Does it have some significance? I guess she must have heard someone else saying it to her. And she just says it herself because she's been around people saying that. But what does it mean? I said what I said.
We all said what we said. Everybody's whatever you said, you said it's just. I ate what I ate.
I pooed what I pooed. I mean, what? It made no sense to me. Educate me someone, please.
Right, so July. All the way through July, I didn't have much time to make recordings. But let's have a look at what I managed to do.
So I did 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, I did 17 recordings in July. And that was the worst time of the year for me. And one of the worst times ever as an adult.
So I still managed to do 17 recordings. So wow. So I'm kind of how many of how many did I do in August? To be fair, I might have done less in August because once it sunk in what happened, I think I kind of lost, lost, not lost the plot, but just you know, August 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41.
Wow, I did 41 recordings in August. See, in my memory, I didn't do hardly anything in August, because of what happened like in July. Wow.
So what did I do in September? I'm sure I had a period when I couldn't do anything. September 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24. So I did 24 in September.
So it's kind of half of what I did in August. What have I done in October so far? Is now the 26. So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 29.
So this is the 30th recording I've done in October. And it's now the 25th of October today. No, 26.
Sorry. How many did I do in January? When am I going to start talking about the papers? I am going to talk about the papers. Don't worry.
What about June? How many did I do in June? Because June was a good month, I think. I think it was. I don't anything.
Yeah, June was an okay month. I don't know, for example. I don't know 100%.
But June, 1st of June, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35. So 35 in June. What about May? I could have just started in March, not January, couldn't I? But I don't normally take much notice of how many recordings I do.
But sometimes, there'll be a few days where I don't do anything. And there'll be some days where I do multiple. So May, how many I did in May? May, May, May, May, May, May, May, May, May, May.
Right, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, there's a 27 in May. So I must be averaging like a one a day at least. I wonder how many it did in January.
Does it go back far enough to January? I don't know. I'm not sure. I don't know.
Oh, look. Let me pull your pain away number 22. Negotiation 14th of April 25.
It's looking for now I'm going to go all the way back to January. Can't be bothered. Although I'm nearly there now though.
I'm in March. Hmm. So there's someone in the garden.
So I hope that Vinnie doesn't hear them. If he does, then because there's all these chestnuts, whatever they are on the pavement on the pathway. So you can't walk across them without making this crackly sound.
Hmm. Well, this is interesting. I've done a lot of recordings this year.
I want to add them up now. Should we see how many I've done this year? Not sure if I can keep track. It's gonna take ages.
It really will take ages to do that. I can't be bothered. No, it's a lot.
The thing is, like a year goes by and it's like, oh, it's gone by another year. I mean, you might not go, but, you know, it's gone. So like, where's it gone? It's gone so quick.
But when you really think about it, I know everyone's different. We all have different experiences, but there's going to be times when it went really slow. Periods where perhaps you would have enjoyed it to go a little bit quicker, quicker.
And you can include the whistle in that if you like. Hundreds and oh, I know what I can do to find out. No, it's not gonna work.
There's a lot though. So many. I reckon, so look at 3300.
I reckon I've done at least 300 recordings this year, so far. Which is quite a lot. It is, isn't it? That's a lot of recordings.
