Hello and welcome, to let me bore you to sleep, my name is Jason Newland, please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. This recording is aimed at helping you to slow down your mind and at the very least relax deeply, perhaps even falling into a nice comfy sleep, so yeah, so I have a YouTube channel where all my recordings are uploaded to, I also have, I upload my latest recordings to Instagram X and TikTok, also all my recordings are available on my website jasonnewland.

com, I also have a Facebook group called Jason Newland's Boring Group, yeah I really do, really yeah, wow there must be thousands of people joined, well maybe not thousands but there's a few, there's a few so oh so today is Monday, I nearly said Sunday but it's not is it, bank holiday Monday the 25th of May 2026 it's the second, wait a minute, how many more bank holidays do we have now for the rest of the year so we've got one at the end of August and then we've got good Friday and Easter Monday yeah so there's three bank holidays, Christmas isn't a bank holiday, it's a holiday but it's not a bank holiday so I think Easter Monday, no Boxing Day rather, sorry Boxing Day is a bank holiday, Easter Day isn't, Christmas Day isn't, blimey I'm getting all my names and words muddled up that's a weird noise outside, sound like an elephant orgasming, so it's Monday this is the yeah second from last Monday whatever thing until August, bank holiday Monday till it's usually the last weekend of August let me have a look it will be probably the 31st of August because my birthday is on the 26th of August and quite often my my birthday's been on a bank holiday weekend like either the Saturday, the Sunday or the Monday, yeah already made a recording today earlier and it was, I don't even know let me have a look because I don't know if I told you I've started a relatively new podcast called Breaking Free from Control and Manipulation and so far I've got one, two, three, four, five, six, six episodes so it's you know I'm quite pleased with how it's going the actual because I share it with um the Sleep Hypnosis podcast I share it on you know the various hypnosis podcasts the podcast itself which doesn't have any hasn't had any traction but like uh it's 36 listenable episodes so I do six versions of each recording and I've had one total download but people have been listening on the Hypnosis for Sleeping Deeply so yeah so that's so people are listening it's just they're not listening on the actual podcast I've got for it but that that might take a few weeks few months for Apple Podcasts and Spotify and all that stuff to kind of uh realize it's there because there's so many podcasts out there I mean the Hypnosis for Sleeping Deeply has been around for years and the Deep Sleep Whisper one and Let Me Boy to Sleep they've been around for you know yonks and yonks and yonks but the Breaking Free from Control and Manipulation is very very new it's a very new one so the episodes I've done so far is You Deserve Safety it's the first one Recognizing Emotional Manipulation was the second one Gaslighting and Self-Doubt was the third one Walking on Eggshells was the fourth one Maybe This Time Will Be Different was the fifth one and today's sixth one is Trauma Bonding so I realize this is a lot more serious than what I do when I do this you know the Let Me Boy to Sleep recordings but you know try and do different things I've not had much luck in helping people in real life over the last few years so or a few weeks so if I can at least try and help people from a distance that'd be nice and it'd be nice to get some feedback maybe not right now maybe it'll take a while before the podcasts are felt as beneficial okay right sorry I'll just have a look because I did have oh no I've just come out of the whole thing myself I did have a post on YouTube for the Trauma Bonding fabulous title says Miss Rachel 1709 fabulous title for views we need you to send us to sleep also assist with our mental health this one hit home for me thank you peace so yeah that was nice thank you for that it's there's a few different kind of subjects that I would like to focus on in the coming years and the coming future I'm still very much interested in chronic pain relief and more recently I mean this is very recent the last kind of week or so I started thinking about maybe doing a podcast for people with Parkinson's so again another thing that's very close to my heart now I've only ever known one person in the past that had Parkinson's and now and I've got a like very good very close friend that has it so I thought maybe do a podcast for that you know starting from um diagnosis onwards you know and just do a whole season maybe do it for years maybe keep the thing going and do a new one every week or something like that I don't know when my friend when a friend that passed away I did a did a few recordings on addiction and I did those but I found I don't know how I probably wasn't in the right space to do them if that makes any sense and I'm not I've not listened back to them but I'm not sure how friendly I was if it yeah it was like a little bit I might be a little bit heavy-handed on those ones because I was not I don't know maybe not I might have been a bit too real yeah that maybe that's the the thing I might be in a bit too real because I can talk about I can do a hypnosis podcast on Parkinson's but I don't have I don't know what it's like not really but at the same time I don't know what it's like to addiction really but I know what it's like to be in that lifestyle and I've lived that lifestyle and I've lived I've been with someone as they go through it and it's it's incredibly difficult very challenging so yeah I don't know there's also I'm interested in maybe doing some podcasts on asphasia as well but that's because my friend Brooke who's an expert on asphasia kind of thinking of looking into that as a subject and maybe doing a podcast for that so if to help people recovering from asphasia to have a recording to listen to and maybe be useful even if it's just calming even if it's just to relax the person and I don't know I don't know enough about it but it seems like something that would be useful maybe and you make you might say well do you know about the breaking free from control and manipulation well for a couple of what two or three years of my childhood I lived in that environment domestic wise so I know what it's like to to live in that environment I wasn't I wasn't the one receiving the control and stuff I don't maybe I was I don't know but I know what it's like to sort of grow up in that environment for a couple of years and I've seen yeah I've seen things I have seen things don't you know so yeah we'll see but I've done six which is pretty good and it's possibly one of the most professional podcasts I've done because I've stuck to the script as far as I'm not messing about each image is good for each recording and I'm kind of sticking to the plan of what I want to do and I've got a whole plan listed of different recordings I want to do over the coming weeks and months I think there's about a hundred different recordings and then I'll start specializing and going a bit deeper into some of the subjects so this you know by the end of this year I imagine I'll have over a hundred recordings done different recordings done probably I mean well how many months we've got left May, June, July, August, September, October, November to December seven months so if I do 10 recordings a month that's 70 so yeah I'm probably easy going to do and that's seven recordings a month that's like seven days in a row and in three weeks off I'm more than likely going to do maybe 15 14 13 I don't know we'll see 10, 70, 18 so 30 divided by 7 3, 6, 10, 30, 300, 5 that's 7906 recordings which is a lot less than I thought what are you talking about you're just making numbers up now aren't you yeah all numbers were made up it's just just a made up thing isn't it numbers isn't it weird considering languages were made up numbers were made up all these things where knowledge and education and so-called facts are resting is all on made-up stuff yeah so much of it works and so much of it relies on it to be true for the next thing to work it's phenomenal isn't it really absolutely blimmin phenomenal so my mouth is it's roughly the same as yesterday maybe a couple of percent better it is gradually here's what okay here's how it is now how it is without pain medication is how it was before with pain medication that make sense so it's clearly you know going quite well now it might be a few more weeks before it's completely sorted I don't know I don't imagine it will be really I'm kind of figuring by the end of next week that my mouth will very likely just feel the same as it did before can you make a bit more noise please Finny thank you so that'd be nice well it does feel like my tooth is still in there it still feels it's like phantom tooth pain it's weird isn't it I don't know if I've ever had that before it's very strange but yeah it's a it's an interesting period I've gone through because this is the tooth I mean blimey it's nothing is it really it's just a tooth and I've made such a big deal about just a smelly old tooth I don't think it was smelly but you know it wasn't a big tooth but it was a what's it wisdom tooth I don't know why they called wisdom teeth I don't know if you ever listened to any of my recordings but you're gonna realize if you do that there ain't no wisdom here ain't no wisdom me not have wisdom no Finny's acting very strange I think someone's in the garden shouting and then he's gone back to licking himself which is nice so it's been really hot today as it was yesterday as it was the day before as well and I took Finny out about half eight I think it was this morning it's now 5 18 in the evening or in the afternoon so I've pretty much just been keeping out of the sun for him rather than for me I mean I'm not that bothered by the heat but I know you've got to be careful like on the hottest days I don't go out actually for me as well it's not it's not particularly comfortable but Vinny it's not really fair on him to be going out in such heat so we've kept inside today he's had his water and he's not he's not kind of interested in eating today maybe it's just the heat so we've just been chilling out together watching a bit of telly got a little nap this afternoon and it's much cooler in my bedroom than it is in the living room but that might just be because the tv lets off some heat the computer lets off some heat so maybe that's what it is in the bedroom I've got no electrical equipment everything in there's got batteries in it no it hasn't got no electrical equipment in there and it's just cooler and there's a big massive tree to stop the sun from shining into my bedroom probably from mid-morning onwards so you know it's not just not that warm in there trying to think what else Vinny and I don't know why at about quarter to three this morning woke me up like he was standing he was he was basically begging at quarter to three this morning so he must have been prodding me and jumping on me and all kinds to wake me up and like why why why why would he do that quarter to three in the morning I mean if it was quarter to four I'd be fine four o'clock's not that early I'm okay with that I went to bed early so it's not like I hadn't had any sleep but quarter three is a little bit silly he was hungry he was hungry so I got him some food out of the freezer and he gobbled all that up and I thought he'd go back to bed but he didn't he wanted to stay up so I ended up staying up with him I took my tablet did a bit of internet stuff and then I what did I do yeah I had my breakfast I listened to recording and basically just fell asleep on the sofa and I so I guess I must have woken up at so is it a three about half six and I've been listening to some classical music a pregio or whatever it's called so then what I did I was it half six or was it half seven I don't I'm not sure I think it was half six so what I did is I made my recording the what's it thingy that I talked about earlier I did that then I edited it uploaded it made the image shared it all that stuff then I took Vinny out so yeah it's kind of a weird weird start to the day really a bit early but I don't know I think maybe because yesterday we went for a nap in the afternoon as well so maybe he doesn't know when day is and when night is because it's light so much of the time now although he did wake me up before it was light actually it wasn't light outside yet and because we only got to go out twice yesterday I mean even in the winter we go out at least three times and less apart from extreme weather when he'll just have to make do with the garden that's rare but most of the time sort of in the summer he gets out three times a day sometimes four or five times really depending on kind of what kind of day it is and sometimes I just need to break things up maybe if I've been staring at the computer screen too much it'll be timed like we need a break then let's go out and that just breaks up the time a little bit gives my eyes a chance to rest although since I've got my new glasses for computer work I'm not getting eye strain anymore from looking at the computers I'm quite pleased about that I'm doing a little secret belly dance you can't see me do it but I am I'm belly dancing right now on top of the table that's the belly dance music that I dance to anyway so I um yeah I've woken up very early very strange indeed so what I'm going to do when I finish this I will take him out probably six or seven o'clock when it will be nice and cool not a lot cooler by then and then I've already decided I'm going to get myself some I'm going to have some cheese and tomato sandwiches and a cup of tea for my evening meal and then I'll probably be I'll be in bed by I think I was in bed by nine o'clock yesterday but I'll be in bed by 10 I'm rarely in bed much later than 10 so I'll probably be in bed by 10 o'clock and yeah so that's it what I forgot to do is I forgot to upload my recordings from last night to SoundCloud completely forgot oh my goodness completely forgot so where are we going maybe this time will be different so that's the last one I did so let's have a look see what's the latest one it's just a case of keeping track really maybe did they did okay yeah so 1616 can you believe it this recording now let me bore you to sleep 1617 it doesn't seem very long ago that I hit the 1000 mark does it it's like wow so yeah um so 1616 that's the one from yesterday okay 1000 1616 so I'm going to upload those to SoundCloud oh yeah just a case of remembering to do it sometimes I don't do it for a few days I just completely forget and then I do it now that was a boring story 1616 I don't know what's going on this I'm having problems with my computer with images for some reason I don't know why I genuinely don't know why so everything else is working like files is fine I can upload the audio files I want to go to like add new artwork click on that and it goes to open the uh files I don't know whatever you want to call it it tries to open downloads and nothing comes up and I don't know why I mean why should it be so why should it be so I don't get it so I got a couple of new subscribers so thank you on YouTube so I've now got 1704 704 and I'm the slowest growing YouTube channel in the world honestly if I look at the stats just for the subscribers just the subscribers um okay since yesterday it has gone up three more than before so it's 1701 now it's 1704 which is good you know I can't complain about that but then for the last 28 days my hypnosis for bruxism or bruxism teeth grinding is still the top one still the top one so perhaps I need to do more uh right okay so the last seven days let's have a look what's what's been the top in the last seven days let me buoy to sleep hypnosis and bruxism I had to leave Vinny on his own number 1614 so that one and then Q&A Friday and then extreme deep extreme deep and confusing sleep and that one's from the 17th of February 2026 so that's a continuous uh one no over 2000 downloads of that one I wonder I wonder I 1 1 1 1 wonder so for the last seven days let's go last 28 days because it's it gives more more data there so watch time from subscribers subscribed 60.

5 percent not subscribed 39. 7 percent and that I do believe is quite unusual the majority of my people my people majority of the people listening to my recordings or watching my videos are subscribers which means people are coming back some of the biggest uh YouTube channels are predominantly non-subscribers that come they they're always asking oh can you please subscribe because 80 percent of the people don't subscribe and you know I'm seem to be the other way around although I don't get many I only get three visitors a day oh age and gender so female is 52.

5 percent male is 47. 5 percent so that's pretty even isn't it I mean technically you could say uh okay wait a minute years so 13 to 17 years zero 18 to 24 years zero 25 to 34 years zero 35 to 44 years 61 percent 45 to 54 years zero 55 to 64 years 39 percent and that's going to vary from month to month but the top geo geographies United States 28. 6 percent Ireland 5. 2 percent United Kingdom 4 percent and this is weird then Germany 1.

7 percent India 0. 7 percent and Japan 0. 4 percent so what about the rest was it really broken down by multiple countries all around the world because if I've only got 28 percent 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 so it's 30 percent is covered with those countries what about the other 70 percent I find that unusual the last seven days United States 21. 3 percent United Kingdom 22. 7 percent never did get a huge amount of people from the UK watching on YouTube I didn't really understand it because it was one of my little like not a bugbear because I'm grateful for anyone that watches or listens to my recordings whether it's video or YouTube or whether it's on podcast on my website on TikTok wherever I'm grateful it just used to flummox me a little bit in the past like why doesn't anyone in my own country listen of course they did but like it's a much smaller percentage than in America I mean over the last 365 days on YouTube this is 31.

7 percent of my listeners all my listeners of the podcast or whatever from the United States 11 percent from the United Kingdom but then if you go to the normal like the podcast stats no and in the last 12 months and you go to the geolocation 43. 77 is United States and United Kingdom is 21. 96 then Australia is 7. 5 Canada 7. 4 Ireland 1. 4 so you see it's they're the main countries but I've also got quite a few different countries there but United States is way above it's like twice as many as United Kingdom I don't know I just I don't know why YouTube never really kind of did that you'll never you know kind of really didn't get a higher level of people from this country I mean there's a lot more now than it used to be but on TikTok the majority of people that listen to my videos or my recordings are from the UK and that's growing it's very slow but I'm being what's the word I'm just continuing to do it every day I upload a new recording sometimes there's a few days behind especially if I do more than one recording in a day because I only upload one recording to TikTok and X and Instagram so I'm usually a few days behind I only catch up if I have a few days off which does happen of course and you know I just get a fair bit of likes it's a much younger audience as well which is an I'm quite pleased to gain just because I feel that I have I don't say I have an old audience but my natural audience has always generally been people kind of above 30 and mainly been female and then you know I'm glad that more men listen and I'm glad that more younger people also listen as well you know I'm happy to have people of all ages all cultures all whatever because it just means potentially potentially I could be reaching more people and helping more people potentially I don't know it might not be true but I like the idea of being true because that's one of the things in this this game of mine this um this thing called podcasting is the feedback is not great I get a little bit of feedback on YouTube I get a little bit of feedback on Facebook on my Facebook page Jason Newland's Boring Group that's kind of it really and although I did get a message I'm going to save that message for Friday I've got some questions for Q&A Friday um it's somewhere I'll have to write that down so when I post it I'll have to write those questions down on the Jason Newland's Boring Group but it's yeah I'm just I just have this memory of sitting in the office of the children's charity that I was volunteering in in 2010 near the end of the year and I had yeah I was making phone calls just to check that the the clients still wanted counselling or to book them in for an appointment and in between doing that I was going to my YouTube stats because this is when I was really really into the hypnosis um well yeah into the hypnosis on YouTube when my YouTube channel was my main source of expressing myself with the hypnosis stuff although I was still doing the podcasts my focus was YouTube 100% I would just upload the audio to the podcasts you know just basically take the audio take the audio from the video and just upload that as a podcast episode but really um YouTube was what I focused on and I remember looking at the stats and and also the stats from my website and just seeing all these different countries of people watching or listening to my recordings I just couldn't believe it like how many different people but I also do remember thinking why can't more people in the UK listen or watch it's nice to be worldwide but it's also I guess it feels nice to be recognized in my own country as well you know it's just I think it's a normal thing I don't think there's anything weird about it it's not weird I want my neighbors to love me love me I do I don't know I'm just uh I'm just grateful to be able to do this and hopefully help the odd people but it would be good to get a little bit of feedback from the new podcast I'm doing but maybe that's gonna take time it's gonna take time you know it needs someone to actually maybe listen to them for a while and perhaps for it to help them to move on you know from that situation I don't know I really don't know yeah you know twice in a row like last night and this morning saw the same lady and she said the same thing to me she said all all the dog owners on the estate have all got the same idea all at the same time and the park's full of dogs and I haven't seen so many dog owners in ages so they're all coming out because it's cool said the same thing to me last night and this morning and both times I went into the field into the park I didn't see anybody hardly I saw one little dog in the morning and then he barked at him it's like what do they know I'm coming is there some kind of alarm system in the park I don't know honestly finish dad's on its way hide maybe people are walking around dressed as trees so whenever I turn up they just like plant themselves into the ground not literally but you know and stay still this is windy I much prefer when it's windy when we're hiding disguised as a tree's nasty because then I can just wobble a little bit you know because it's windy maybe not I don't know I thought when I got my new glasses that I would have perfect vision that's all I have to say on that one I don't have perfect vision did I ever have perfect maybe maybe I did maybe I don't know I was looking at some books to read and the toll coin what's it um not war of the worlds what's it called um you know the ring my precious all that stuff apparently they're supposed to be quite easy reads now the movie was not an easy watch so how can the the the move that the book be an easy read with all those weird how is but how am I supposed to remember all those names of all the characters I mean if they're called bob and alfred and henry you know normal wholesome names normal rememberable names maybe I'd be able to I don't know get into it but I'm not done I've not attempted ring of the roses or what it was called I've not attempted to read them but all I know is I just found the the film so long so very very long and I just couldn't couldn't do it I couldn't I couldn't sit through the whole I think I had it on dvd or video and I had to watch it I think four different parts because it's just too long too long I mean it really is you know you finish a movie like that you get out of cinema it really is a case of like what year is it so much time has gone by and I don't have three or four hours for a movie I really don't I was like watching earlier okay I was listening to a song Michael Jackson's album dangerous and I was listening to his song in the closet and he keeps saying the word Jeremy that let the name Jeremy and I don't remember him doing that before bearing in mind I've been a Michael Jackson fan since I was a kid I'm sure he didn't just say Jeremy like at the end of like every every third every third kind of line of him singing he seems to say the word Jeremy the name Jeremy it's just I don't know it was a bit freaky and I listened back to it this is terrible I listened back to it just to make sure I wasn't hearing things and he generally was saying Jeremy randomly and I looked at the lyrics in the closet lyrics so in the closet lyrics oh okay chat gpt can't give the full lyrics that's not fair oh come on get it online okay lyrics right so here's the song in the closet by Michael Jackson wow it's a long one wow it's really long it's the longest song I've ever seen in my life songwriters Michael Joe Jackson
