So, I do believe I do believe today is the hottest day of the year. Yesterday was the hottest day of the year and I think today might have overcome that. Overtaken it.

In this country anyway, in England or the UK, wherever they kind of, I don't know. I don't know if they include all aspects, all parts of the UK for those particular figures. But I was looking at a map, it was on the news actually, it was just showing you the temperatures from around the world.

It is some hot places out there. Like hot. Like how? Like over 40 degrees.

How? How? How? How? How do they? How can? How? I mean you'll be able to imagine at 48 degrees, you couldn't go out, you couldn't do anything. I do wonder, and I was going to ask my Uber driver this the other day. So when you're born in a hot country, India for example, and you move to a cold country, England for example.

And when it's really hot here, do you register it as being really hot? I mean obviously you're going to feel it's warm, but does it feel really hot if you spend the first 20 years of your life living in a much hotter environment? I don't know. It's just a question. Something I've been thinking about.

Well, actually I say it's something I've been thinking about, it's something I thought about while I was in the taxi. And I think I got, I can't remember, we were talking about something and I think I might have seen a seagull and got distracted. I can't even remember.

So the good news is my tooth or my mouth is on the mend. It's now at a manageable level. Which means it's healing.

Which is nice. Oh yeah. Blimey.

Blimey mimey. It's much, it's yeah definitely. And I've done all the antibiotics and I'm just taking ibuprofen every four hours.

And that's it. And it takes the edge off and that's all that's needed. So I'm, you know, I'm feeling a bit grateful for that now because it seemed like a very, very long period of time that I've been kind of focusing on my mouth.

It's like five weeks or something. And it's nice for it to, I've probably got maybe a week or two left before it's completely sort of gone back to normal, but I'm okay with that. It's like just a bit of an ache now.

I decided, I don't know if anyone's ever used this term, but you know, when you've had a tooth out and it still hurts, phantom tooth pain. Yeah, so I've had phantom tooth pain for, well I've still kind of got it, but it's mellowing itself. It's basically, yeah, so that's it.

So I'm pleased about that. It didn't go out yesterday other than just to take the little one out. I took him out twice, one in the morning and once in the evening because of the heat.

I can't, I just don't want to take him out when it's hot. So we're being indoors. I've been freezing his food.

So he's been eating cold food. Of course, he's got water there the whole time. I've got the curtains drawn just to keep shade, try and keep the room relatively cool.

I've got the windows open, but, I did have the windows open, not now because I'm doing a recording. And the dogs, the neighborhood dogs, there's a few of them have been barking quite a bit today. But then a lot of people, I don't think so much that they're, they've got the guard, the dogs in the garden.

They've probably just got the door open so the dog can come and go as it pleases. Because, you know, some people say, oh shit, dogs can't be out in the heat. Vinnie loves the heat.

He sunbathes. Absolutely loves it. So, and another dog walker said to me the other day, I saw some people during the day walking their dogs, and I thought, Huh? I said, okay, fair enough.

But he said, the pavement's too hot for the dogs. And I said to her, look, with Vinnie, it's quite easy. Because he point blank refuses to do anything he doesn't want to do.

And he will not tolerate any, not even the slightest bit of discomfort. So if he's on the pavement and it's too hot, he'll jump up on my legs, on my feet. He won't put up with it.

And if it's too hot, he pulls me to the shade. Or he pulls me home. He does not tolerate any discomfort whatsoever.

So I know that he's, well, if we're out, it's not because he's suffering. It's because he chooses to be out. But he might get overheated.

Well, when it's in this kind of weather, I don't travel far away from the house. Purposefully, because I can get back within 30 seconds if I need to. So if he's dehydrated, or I'm dehydrated, or I need the toilet, or whatever, it's not the reason for it.

Okay, it has been the reason. There's been a few times when I've needed to be close to the house. But basically, I'm never far away.

And if it gets too hot for him to walk on the pavement, you know, I can just carry him. He's little enough for me to do that. And I know that the pavement's too hot because he'll let me carry him.

Because again, he doesn't like to be carried unless he wants to be carried. He's a quite temperamental little puppy. He is a little bunny rabbit.

So I watched the boxing yesterday. It was very strange. Just, I mean, I watched it and it was good.

There was lots of good fights on there. But the main fight was, I'm sorry if you've not seen the fight yet or heard the results. I'm going to talk about the fight.

Okay, I won't talk about the fight, but I was just very, very surprised at how it, yeah, how it rolled out, how it was. I mean, I definitely liked the Hamza Shiraz fight. That was really good.

And yeah, all the fights were good. But it was just, I was just surprised that Isik did not look himself. It's almost as if he had not grown old, but aged overnight.

Like he, from his last fight to this fight, that he didn't look. But then he doesn't fight very often. He might fight like twice a year.

And the last time he fought was against Dubois and I think that went like four rounds. And then he had a break. So it's been like a year or something since the last four, if not longer.

Maybe not as long. I don't know. It's been a little while.

And then he fought a ex kickboxing champion who'd only had one professional boxing match. It was interesting and the stance of the kickboxer was different from, I mean, you'll never see a boxer have that stance. Very different to what I've ever seen before.

I mean, clearly it was, it worked because Isik struggled with it. But it was weird to watch. I'm not quite sure why.

Either a dog barked really loudly or someone sneezed twice. It sounded like a bear sneezing or a big dog barking. Something like that.

That's in the distance. I'm not talking about Isik. So, yeah, it was interesting.

And the thing is, because I'm used to going to bed about 10 o'clock. And the boxing went on till nearly midnight. So I was just very tired trying to hold my eyes open.

Because in the evening, when I have my evening food, I take my bipolar medication and it does make me tired. So if I eat, let's say, I usually eat about seven, seven o'clock. So by nine, I'm usually ready for bed.

You know, sometimes I go to bed at nine, sometimes I go to bed at 10. It's rarely after that time. Sometimes it is, but not often these days.

But on a Saturday night, if the boxing's on live and it's on till the main, because it's the main event. Isn't on till like 11 or, you know, quarter to 11, then it just kind of seems a shame. Although, not last, no, is it last week? There was one recent where it was a Saturday night and I went to bed.

I was so tired. I went to bed and I watched the boxing in the morning when I got up. I think that might have been last week.

I kind of just wish the boxing was on a little bit earlier. Just a little bit so it finished by 11 or finished by 10, like the main event was on at nine. That, that, that just, I know it's not all about me and stuff, but that would definitely be useful to me.

Because the later the night goes, the more tired I become. And I do look, especially the weekends, I look forward to getting in bed and listening to the radio for a few hours. Yeah, it's just, I guess, a little routine of mine that I've been doing for a few years now.

Hmm. I mean, next weekend we've got, I think there's, there's boxing in the UK. There's also boxing in Russia.

There's also boxing in America on the same night. So that's going to be, I don't know how that, how we're going to like fit all that in. I won't be staying up all night.

That's for sure. But what I've noticed is with DAZN, the DAZN app, which is D-Z-N, D-A-Z-N. The app used to be all right.

You go in halfway through and just watch from the start or go to where the fights are and watch each fight individually. That had already been on, but the app just doesn't work like that anymore. And I think one of the problems is there's too much stuff on the app and it doesn't work as well when it's live.

Because DAZN was supposed to be the home of boxing. That's what it called itself. And then it brought all these other sports on.

It's like, go away, just dedicate yourself to boxing. But there's clearly not enough money in boxing to do that. Because then they brought football.

Then they brought all different sports. It's like, I don't want to see that. I just want to see boxing.

Just boxing. That's all. So, you know, they've clogged up the app with all this other stuff.

And I think that's maybe where the problem is. And I think part of what their idea is, well, I think they originally started out being boxing. And then somebody had another app, a sports app.

Or worked for another company that worked for a sports TV channel. Said, no one's going to pay money just for boxing. Boxing fans will, but the average punter won't.

You need to have other sports, like football, wrestling maybe, and other stuff like that. The dog's right here again. That dog's been going all day.

But to be fair, there's another dog as well that's been going at it. That's been starting him off. So it's just, it's like a domino effect.

Luckily, the only time Vinnie barks is really if he hears someone at the door. Or someone, still someone coming out of their doors in the flats, especially on the top stairs. So my immediate neighbours, he barks if they leave their flat or open their door or get a delivery.

Maybe if a door slams, he'll bark at that. Sometimes he barks at stuff that's in the garden. If there's a cat or someone, just a human walking around in the garden, he may bark at that as well.

But he doesn't really respond too much to other dogs barking anymore. Unless there's like a full on bark fest. So there's like two, three dogs all barking at the same time he joins in.

It's almost like he's, I don't know if they're all singing together or just all shouting hello and he just wants to say hello. I'm here too, you know. Who is it? It's Vinnie, it's Vinnie, don't you recognise me? Bless him, he's just had another treat.

So I had a little delivery today, some groceries. And he's got a bit of toilet paper stuck to his foot. How did that happen Vin? He's looking at me like, I want to go out.

Yeah, you're going to have to wait mate. Because even now, even at ten to six, it's still going to be warm out there. My plan is to take him out at seven.

It should be a fair bit cooler by seven. I know it's not ideal for him but. It's weird though because he doesn't drink much, even in this weather he doesn't drink much.

And the water's there all the time. So it's not like he has to ask me for permission. But he's not a big drinker.

Until, well he has occasions when he just drinks a lot and glugs, glugs, glugs. But if he thinks we're about to go out, he'll run over and he'll drink as much as he can. Honestly, he'll fill his bladder up three times over.

Just so he's got lots of wee to spread everywhere. To sprinkle the flowers. Yeah, he's a man with a plan.

A boy with a toy, I don't know. So this week's been a bit strange, but then all weeks seem to be a little bit strange. So what's happened this last week? It's a Monday.

Oh yeah, last Monday I had an appointment, an emergency appointment at the dentist. See that's not the neighbour's dog, well it is a neighbour's dog, but that dog if you can hear it is way away. Like in a different road.

Well it's not in a different road, it's just a little bit further away. So Monday at two o'clock I had an emergency dental appointment for my phantom tooth pain. I booked it on Friday.

So I went along, it didn't go to plan necessarily. So I get a taxi there. And I get there, yeah that's it, I get there too early, so I'm there about twenty past one.

And they're closed between one and two for lunch. And it's raining, kind of partially raining. So I have to sort of try and find some shelter or something.

And there wasn't really enough time for me to do much. So what I did is I kind of just went for a little walk, made a couple of phone calls. Found out some news about one of my friends that was quite serious, like health wise.

And then I went and had my dentist appointment. Was given antibiotics. Had, the dentist basically just cleaned it up and put some stuff in.

Stuff in? Put some stuffing in. Not stuffing as in what you have at Christmas or whatever. And, that'd be weird, that'd be very weird wouldn't it.

It felt like an icing pack full of sausage meat. Icing pack, icing bag. Anyway, I, that all went okay, it all.

It was a bit, oh ouch, a bit ouchy. But it was alright. Gave me medication, so I went to the chemist.

Paid for the medication and got some pain stuff as well. And then I ordered my taxi. So this was at half past two in the afternoon.

So everything went quite to plan really. You'd think I'd been done, I'd pretty much got everything done in an hour. And I said, if you just meet me across the road.

If you pick me up across the road from the pharmacy. Because there's nowhere to park. And he said, okay then.

I said, right, okay, cool. Bye then. I said, bye.

So I'm weighing over the other side. They said it'd be 20 minutes. So I'm thinking, well it's a lot longer than normal, but hey, it's fine.

20 minutes is 20 minutes. So come three o'clock, I'm thinking, okay. It's over 20 minutes now.

It's half an hour. So I phone up the taxi place. Yeah, is it not got there yet? No.

And actually I think he said, are you still waiting for a taxi? Do you still want one? I said, yeah, I've been waiting for half an hour. Yeah. Oh, okay.

I'll try and get one sent to you. Why didn't you send one? So I was a little bit confused at this point. Anyway, I said, okay, fair enough.

And I just wanted to go home. Okay, just wanted to get back. Another 15 minutes goes past.

And I call up, but it goes to answer machine. And it got this sophisticated AI thing going on where they answer and say, hello, Jason. How are you today? How can I help you today? Please tell me what you would like me to help you with today.

And I was supposed to just say something. And I said, check in the time of my booking. I don't understand that, Jason.

What do you mean? Could you please repeat it? Could you check the time of my taxi booking? Is my taxi on the way? You want to know if there's any jam left? No. I was like, it really wasn't listening. So, and then it said something.

If you're phoning to inquire about the taxi that you ordered, it's going to be an Alfa Romero, a white taxi, and it should be with you in the next 10 minutes. So, okay, fair enough. Some way in, still nothing.

So, I call him up again and say, hi. I go, this time I get through to a human again. And I said, I suppose you can just tell me, please, do I have a taxi coming to pick me up? And the man said, are you still waiting? Are you? Do you still want one? I said, yeah, I've been waiting for an hour.

Oh, that's a long time. I said, thanks. Thank you.

Yeah, I noticed that myself. And he said, okay, well, let me just check. I'll make a few calls.

And he got on his radio. Hello, Delta, Delta, Alpha to Foxtrot, Delta Golf. Is anyone available to pick up? I mean, is anyone available? I ordered an hour ago, man.

And he said, someone should be with you in the next 10 minutes, sir. I said, thank you. He said, are you sure you don't want to cancel? I said, no, I've been waiting an hour.

Oh, I'm willing to just wait the next 10 minutes. He said, okay, fair enough, sir. Right you are.

He didn't say that, but yeah, very good. And then the taxi did turn up. I saw all sorts of people during that hour driving into this little car park area, speeding around, parking, running over to the pharmacy, being all loud and leery.

It's like, wow. Just, I don't know if it's lack of self-awareness or just not caring, but I mean, this car literally was speeding, went so fast. And I think it nearly broke its own bumper because it went to like a little dip and hit a high bit in the road.

So yeah, and then scraped along. So I think it might cause themselves some damage on that one. Do you know when people like get out of a car and then they're walking, or maybe they're just two people together in the street and they're walking away and they're talking, but they keep talking.

They continue talking. They're not on the phone. They're talking in person, like verbally, out loud.

And no matter how far away they get, they're still communicating via the verbal route. And they get louder and louder and louder and louder and louder. And I just, I wonder like, when is it going to stop? At what point does a conversation become null and void? When is it just not practical anymore? Things like that interest me for some reason.

I don't know why. I don't know why. I used to see that a lot when I worked in a little town, or lived in a little town rather.

People used to have conversations across the road from each other. And no traffic. They just stood each side of the road talking for periods of time.

Not just like a quick, Hi, hi, you alright? Yeah. Cloudy, innit? I know. Supposed to be raining later.

I know. You alright then? Yeah. How's Bob? I don't know anyone called Bob.

Alright then, see ya. So it's kind of, okay, that I can get at. Like, was it really worth crossing the road for that kind of conversation? It's a lot of effort, isn't it? But if you're going to be talking for like half an hour, did it kind of make sense for one of you to cross? Now of course I don't say meet in the middle because it's a road, you need to keep off the road.

Although there are people around here that walk in the road. They literally walk down the road. Like in the middle of the road.

This isn't, it's not a dirt track. It's an actual road with, you know, lines and cars parked either side and cars driving through. But they're walking in the road.

And I don't really understand that because we have pavements. They're at the side. That's where you walk.

You see at the side of the road is where you walk. I suppose in America you call them, what do you call them in America? What do they call it? Oh yeah, sidewalk. And you don't need to walk in the road generally.

I mean there are places where if you're near the countryside and there's places near here where you'll have a pavement and then it just comes to an end. And unless you cross the road you're going to have to walk on the road itself. Which is not ideal because it's a main road leading to motorways.

Yet for some reason they decided not to continue the pavement. I don't know why. I don't know who to ask either.

To be honest. Anyway, eventually the taxi turned up. And there was a degree of relief.

Now, I got home. I don't know what time I got home. Can't remember now.

And I remember I remember because I took the first because I was given antibiotics I took the first pill while I was waiting for the taxi. And that's it. I thought, well I might as well make use of this time.

Get the old antibiotics working. And when I got home I just I don't remember what else I did. Watched a bit of telly probably.

Did I make a recording on Monday? I might have done. There's a good chance I did. I haven't made huge amounts of recordings this week.

But I've made a few. In fact I did one today. This morning.

Called this is the next one the next recording on my podcast. Which is it's a new podcast I got called Breaking Free from Control and Manipulation. And the newest episode is called Maybe This Time Will Be Different.

And so I did that this morning. This morning. May the 18th.

Was that Monday? It was. OK. So I've only done this week.

I've done one, two, three, four. I've made four recordings. Wait a minute.

I've only done one. One, two, three, four. Yeah.

So the first one was called Emergency Dental Appointment for Sleep. I had to leave Vinny on his own. That was on the That was the Tuesday.

Hmm. I think what I did is I recorded the first one. So the Monday one I recorded that before the dentist appointment.

And the Tuesday I recorded that one talking about the dental appointment, well the whole kind of day. And then Friday was Q&A Friday and then today I've done a, yeah as I said that maybe this time will be different or perhaps it should be maybe this time will be different. I'm a big fan of Frasier, the TV show, Frasier, Frasier.

Big, big, big fan of the original show. It's just really, I just love it. Apart from one thing that just bugs me, bugs me, bugs me, bugs me.

And I shouldn't let it bug me, but it really bugs me. And I don't get this bearing in mind how such a big TV show which is so focused on detail, so clever, intelligent, very focused and because it, you know, how they could, I'll just get straight to it. Anytime they had an English person on there other than Daphne, generally they had a really, really rubbish accent.

Now last week Daphne had her former fiancé from England come and visit her and clearly he's not English. He's not, he's he's American or, you know, from somewhere. And he was talking like Dick Van Dyke.

Now in this, I know that Dick Van Dyke is a legend, you know, in movies and stuff and very much beloved and all that stuff. But in this country right from the early days even though Bedknobs and Broomsticks was brilliant and Mary Poppins and all that stuff. Dick Van Dyke's cockney English accent was awful.

He's dancing, he's singing brilliant but the accent wasn't great. And it's kind of been a subject of humour amongst the British people. Very snobbery, very snobs we are sometimes.

And this boyfriend of Daphne's or ex-boyfriend at one point he actually did say I like your flat here. It's lovely, lovely. There's not an English person in the world, well not in this country anyway.

There's not an English person in this country. Even if they've got a speech impediment that says lovely I don't think, I mean as far as I'm aware maybe I might be wrong. There might be a whole group of people maybe it's a fan, the Dick Van Dyke fan club who specifically pronounce lovely as lovely.

It, for me it spoiled it. I didn't spoil it because I still enjoy the show but it ruined it a little bit because it was almost like the most perfect sitcom. The most perfect comedy show for many reasons.

Just I don't know, the quality of the characters was good until they brought an English person in and then the quality of the character was sub-par. Sub-par to a ridiculous level. And I struggle to believe that the American people, the American audience it's almost like the American audience had never heard an English person speak so they just accept it.

Unless to, maybe to some people in America, English people just all sound the same. Now I'm well aware that, you know Americans, there's so many different accents and I think, I think English people have got the advantage when it comes to accents as far as hearing them because if you're in America, how many English TV shows did you have on TV to watch? I'm sure there was a few but when I was a kid growing up it was American shows like non-stop all the major shows were American you know, Dallas, Dukes of Hazzard just name it, so many A-Team Knight Rider, Baywatch well Baywatch wasn't when I was growing up but I did seem to regress mentally when I watched it and I don't know what kind of shows were shown in America from England because I think over recent years the really popular shows from England tend to have been English some people talk like that but it's not the normal language but then if you were to listen to yeah, I think some TV shows that were shown in America had subtitles because the accent was too strong but I think, you know I don't think I'd enjoy necessarily watching a sitcom if I had to read read the words as they were being said in order to understand it I'm not sure if I'd enjoy it so much oh by the way I was asked the other day either this Q&A Friday or the one before or maybe it was one back in it was definitely one recently and Kung Fu Hustle one of my favourite movies ever one of the greatest movies ever made I believe Kung Fu Hustle very funny very very funny it's almost perfection and it's got Kung Fu in it but it's got so much more it's really really good it's ridiculously stupid but it's also clever and it's funny and it's great to watch yeah if you haven't watched it then it's definitely a movie I would suggest Kung Fu Hustle it's called you probably never see another movie like it it's unlikely you'll see another movie like it oh yeah going back to Frasier I've talked about this before I'm going to when Daphne's brothers come along right and I don't know how many there are is it four brothers one clearly is not English he's clearly just trying to put on an English accent like another lovely that kind of accent that famous comedian actor in this country Robbie Coltrane he's Scottish and then they had the the brother who used to be in it quite a lot near the end Daphne's brother the one who was always drunk and flirting with everyone that accent that he had does not exist there's a different accent to Daphne but it doesn't exist it's like a made up accent and then they had in fact I think he was almost trying to do London and then he had I think another two I know someone from Liverpool basically all of her brothers had different accents now if the father as an example had four five children in different parts of the country and then they all kind of just got together you know for Christmases and birthdays and stuff but they stayed in their particular area so Robbie stayed in Scotland the other brother stayed in London and Daphne stayed in Manchester and it was it was yeah I found that again that was like why did they have to do that how hard would it really have been to just find some Manchester to play our brothers it was like for one episode it was the wedding episode I think yeah it was the wedding episode it wouldn't have taken much and there's got to be enough people in Hollywood that were actually from England just for that episode because they chose I mean Robbie Coltrane as I said I don't know if he was known in America but I can't remember who else they had but it was just like I mean even Daphne I don't know where Daphne was from because Daphne Daphne Moon so Daphne Moon so she played by Jane Leaves in Oxford Essex so she's not from Manchester she's 65 now blimey hot in Cleveland she was in the Benny Hill show in 1983 and she was a dancer in Monty Python's The Meaning of Life I did not know that she performed in small roles from 86 to 88 she played her first lead character in the sitcom Throb then brief recurrent parts in sitcom Seinfeld and Murphy Brown Murphy Brown!

Remember Murphy Brown? that's a while we're going back there aren't we blimey and then secured okay she was cast in films 84th Street 94 James and a Giant Peach 96 Music of the Heart there isn't why are they not even mentioning the fact that she was oh they are Frasier 93 to 2004 so she has been in other things it's got to be difficult though isn't it because I don't know you know when you're that famed that much of a big TV show I think it's a similar thing for Harry Potter the stars of Harry Potter so they spent 10 years of their life doing that but they were kids they'd finished by the time they were like 20 I think they had enough money to last them for the rest of their life if they were careful do anything go anywhere pretty much and it's got to be weird to be in that situation and to still be young because you think she's 65 now okay she was leaves Jane Elizabeth leaves 61 71 81 91 2001 so she was in her early 40s when the show finished probably had 50 million in the bank she'd earned a huge amount of money and it's got to be difficult I know obviously you can get through that I certainly managed to get through all my millions but you couldn't get through that in five lifetimes you could you can get through any amount of money in a very short time if you really aim for it it's very easy to get rid of money much easier than to make it I would say but you have to be it's not even about being frivolous in order to get through you know get through millions and millions you have to put a bit of work in getting through hundreds is much easier the Benny Hill Show it's Belvedere does anyone remember Hooperman late 80s I used to like that John Ritter my two dads she was in four episodes of Seinfeld wow that's weird Red Dwarf USA she played Holly who is the computer thing but then it looks like it didn't last very long see things like Red Dwarf they become iconic shows around the world which it did if you got a show I feel not for all shows but a lot of shows I found that they didn't need redoing in a different country the exceptions I would say The Office I think they had more fun with it in America it was cringe to watch it it wasn't fun it was quite dark the American version was a bit lighter a bit more fun I prefer the American version but things like Frasier it didn't need a version here but then there was a Dear John which was quite iconic so Dear John is about a man who gets a Dear John letter when he gets home from his wife that series is about him trying to rebuild his life I never watched the American version but I love the English version what is this?

she never got involved in Hercules she was Athena 6 episodes Frasier 264 episodes so from 2004 when she was like 43 years old she hasn't been in a regular sitcom or TV show she has made 3 films I suppose it's not something I've had to really worry myself about got too much money but I'm only 20 what am I going to do with my time never had that to be concerned with although I did used to know someone whose dad owned half the farms in the country apparently old money she came from old money and she used to drive around in a sports car that she just kept smashing into a wall like not fast and wouldn't care and I was like you've got a sports car she didn't care because she'd just get it replaced and I didn't know that she was sort of made of money and as she asked me out asked me to go if I wanted to stay the weekend at her mansion and I'm sure she said we were going to get a helicopter there because it was a bit of a journey I don't know I liked her but not in that way I didn't have any romantic feelings towards her and the idea of being not stuck but kind of being at home being in someone else's house even if it was a very large house just didn't really sit with me well that's the whole weekend what am I going to do and now I think imagine what that would be like to wake up in an absolutely huge home, massive and have servants yeah I could do that I don't know it would just be Newland Manor that's what we could call it have a little moat so no one can get through apart from those who could did you know this is probably not related so much but did you know that quite a few different countries have tried to drill to make the deepest hole in the ground did you know that and I think Russia got the furthest but ultimately there's a certain point where it can't go any further because it just melts thanks Vinnie can you make a bit more noise please, thanks, cheers so every tool that they were using was melting and they had to give up in the end because they couldn't create a tool that wouldn't melt the further it went down isn't that amazing and you might think what do with living or staying in a manor or Frazier or Frazier's you know Daphne Moon from Frazier and her brothers with all different accents which wouldn't happen it just wouldn't happen and Daphne or the actress Jane Elizabeth Leaves was not she was not from Manchester she was from Ilford in London ok hmm so yeah that must be interesting so she put on her accent another thing I used to find she'd say oh there's one point oh he patted me on my fanny now no English person would ever say that and there would be it would be you know an arrestable situation police would be involved you know or a stranger just patted me on my fanny I mean now you know even a conversion of what that word means would be it's wrong isn't it but in this country fanny has a different meaning a very different meaning and it must be very weird when she was saying those words outside like you know during that show to not laugh out loud at what she'd just said so there's a lot of linguistic differences I guess and I suppose that would be the case because Frasier was very it was a very verbal sitcom wasn't it very much verbal so which is why I like it really I think is the wordplay and the kind of little arguments they have yeah it's just very clever but people from Manchester don't sound like Daphne her mum now that her mum let's go back Daphne Moon role in a series family Simon Simon he was Australian so that's why he had the accent that he had he didn't he wasn't even English he was Australian so that was his brother her brother although it was a good character Richard E Grant he was a posh man very posh he was from Manchester often being Scottish but he was also a big star he was a bit of a movie star yeah so this is five out of Daphne's eight brothers appeared on the show few of them maintained consistency with Daphne's northern accent La Paglia an Australian actor adopted a Cockney accent playing Simon a Scottish play Daphne's brother Michael with a modelled Brummie Birmingham accent Birmingham accent which had the distinctive he sounded Scottish to me and explains a way by Nylens has been a result of his being dropped as a baby the effect is completed by his speech being unintelligible Richard E Grant plays Stephen Moon with an indeterminate accent somewhere between received pronunciation and Cockney her brother Billy is implied to be gay such as in the episode Daphne's room in which Daphne says her brothers would sneak into the bathroom er yeah so they were kind of all just looking at different people actors so it's very much yeah how it's crazy now I'm just thinking about it is the no one knows no one seemed to realise that they were all had different accents no one seemed to notice can I say that I don't know if anyone noticed Harry Moon is Lancashire accent so he got away with it that's her dad he was definitely a Northerner you can hear he was like a Northerner Gertrude Moon and she's played by Melissa no way she's 91 wow so she was born in Romford Essex but she was also wow she'd been in movies for years and years and years so I guess she could just do accents and lots of stage shows as well she's been on TV since 1958 and been in movies since 1959 and stage since 1954 hmm so she was a bit of a star hmm I didn't know that anyway I'm not quite sure what my point was Martin was born in Romford Essex so that's kind of the same as Ilford really it's Essex but it's also London it's also London they make out like oh it's Essex it's a different place like no it's London it's literally just up the road from Stratford just up the road from Forest Gate I mean it is Essex as far as the borders go but it's still London Ilford's Essex it's still London I mean in London you've got like London and then you've got Essex and then you've got Middlesex and they're all within a short distance of each other if you're in a car London's not a big place it feels bigger well because there's so many people there and everything's really condensed but also it's hard to travel around fast because it's so condensed but it's not a big area not really not when you think there's like maybe 10 million people living in London it's not a big area it's quite small I remember I used to get a Tube the underground train it also was overground as well from Stratford to Ealing Broadway it took forever and I met a female and she wanted me to I was going to go and see her at Ealing Broadway but it was late at night well not late but it was kind of too late really to catch a train it was probably about 10 o'clock or whatever and I thought to myself oh I'll just get a taxi but it's going to cost me a fortune to get a Tube and it took about 20 minutes in a taxi it wasn't a long distance at all I was like wow so Tuesday, what did I do Tuesday didn't do much rested, oh I had a bit of a weird day Tuesday but nothing much Wednesday why did I feel that I went somewhere Wednesday but I didn't go anywhere Wednesday Thursday I met with my friend who I haven't seen for a little while so that was good to kind of catch up told me what was going on with him so that was nice bit upsetting but it was nice to see him Friday did the old dentist again this time I was very very pleasantly surprised to realise that when the dentist was prodding where the tooth had been it was fairly okay like Monday I was yeah I was making a considerable amount of noise when she did that but this time it was more the gum next to it that was the problem so she cleaned it up again put a few bits in it and that was quite nice to know that actually that is healing it's just the gum it's just the way it is, it takes a while because the whole jaw has been affected really by the process and I got a taxi there I used Uber for the first time an Uber taxi and it is handy as far as they just take the money off the account like when I order Uber Eats so it's an easy way to do it I can see where there is a car available and exactly how much it's going to be and how long it's going to be it's a lot easier than using a taxi firm I used before plus the taxi firm I used before kept me waiting for over an hour and I didn't enjoy that so I went and had my what's it looked at I got there quite early about half nine the appointment was twenty past ten so I left here about half nine got there about ten to ten had half an hour so I went for a little walk went into the book shop had a little look around the book shop I did mention this, I've talked about this already haven't I and then I headed towards the dentist and yeah I came out of there feeling ok and I thought ok so I'll get some more they didn't give me any more medication but I went and got some more pain relief and then I walked up to the bus station and I didn't have to wait long for a bus that was going to bring me not all the way home but you know part of the way so I got on that one in fact it was one about to leave it was just the bus driver was in there but he hadn't opened the doors yet so I hopped onto that one and then I yeah I knew where I was going to go so there was a particular bus stop which all the buses have to pass generally that are going to go where I live so I was going to get there but this bus went left not far, it wasn't a long walk but it kind of went a little bit out of the way so it was fine I just got off there and walked back stood at the bus stop and I had bought a couple of cakes and a couple of pastries with like lemon sort of stuff in them and I ate that I ate one of them and it tasted so good and I was hungry so I had breakfast to probably 6 o'clock and now it was I don't know probably get on to half eleven and I was just hungry at this point but my hands were sticky so I was trying not to touch anything that I was going to put in my mouth because I'd been walking on the bus and everything touching stuff and there was a bin so I was just trying to eat around and then chuck the rest in the bin but my hands were really sticky so what I did is I had a roll of toilet paper in my bag just happened to have that there and so I'm wiping my hands and the toilet paper is sticking to my fingers it's like come on so I'm just trying to have to sort of find a way to get it off I did in the end but it was like oh what a faff oh dear oh dear and then the bus turned up got off got onto the bus and just got off at the right spot there was someone sitting on there who kept looking over I didn't really know what he was doing and then when it was time for me to get off he kind of started to move and he stayed on the bus so I don't know what was going on there and I walked home came back saw Vinnie when I listened back to the recording so on Monday he barked for 2 minutes or howled or whatever for 2 minutes Friday 17 minutes on and off 17 minutes howling crying I don't like hearing it well don't listen then but I want to know how it's affecting the neighbours and it's alright 17 minutes is a little bit too long though so yeah well Saturday yesterday I took Vinnie out early and then I watched the boxing that was on Friday early hours Friday morning no early hours Saturday morning sorry so I watched the boxing and I've been doing some website stuff as well but didn't make any recordings yesterday and then today I did the that recording I did earlier was it maybe this maybe this time it will be different and now I've done this one so that's the week ain't really a lot happened necessarily but a few things it's been a week of 3 subjects 2 of which I can't really discuss so yeah the dentist appointment is about the only mouth is probably the main thing that's kind of happened in a way but some other stuff's happened as well but that involves other people so I shouldn't really mention it yeah and that's not Vinnie if it was Minnie if it was Vinnie I would tell you he's got a friend called Minnie Vinnie Vinnie so he seems alright inside he's not panting I got his food in the freezer so what I do is I lay it down on his plate in the packet still just wait for it to get a bit defrosted just a little bit and then I kind of break it up a little bit inside the packet and just pour it on there and he eats the whole lot down which is weird because he doesn't getting to eat is a chore sometimes so maybe he's been getting overheated for a while now this isn't just the first time maybe he was too hot before and he wanted cold food so what I'll do is when I finish this I'll do a bit of editing and then I'll take him out and give him something to eat and that's oh I've been watching a TV show called The Burrow I've got two episodes left to watch Alfred Molina and Gina Davis is in it as well although Gina Davis is like the last person mentioned in the cast which I find weird considering it's the last episode she's just as as prominent really as anyone else and she's probably the most famous name out of anyone that's in it I would say I know Alfred Molina has been around a long time but Gina Davis come on she's like a movie star she was I don't know why she's listed last I'm not saying she should be listed first but I mean Alfred is kind of the star but everyone else I would say is pretty much equal co-star hmm anyway I'm gonna go now
