to whisper wednesday whisper wednesday my name is Jason Newland please only listen when you can safely close your eyes Vinny's on the floor chewing on a bone chewy thing i've got way too many lights on in here in order to make it bright enough to make a video the windows are closed and the curtains are drawn closed i can still hear the birds but ideally well ideally i'd be six foot five i mean there's there's lots of ideals isn't there but you'd be of a better picture this is what it is this is the second day that i've made an actual video yesterday i did uh yeah let me put you to sleep and it was on video and i don't know this is something quite nice for me personally to look back at my videos from the past i can't look back at the future can i but you know just it's not just about seeing how much i've aged how much different i look to 20 years ago but also i guess just hearing what i've got to say what i'm talking about what i'm focusing on what's on me old mind there's still a bit of a humming sound here i don't know where that's coming from i don't think it's coming from this flat but there's nothing i can do about it so all i can do is hope that it can't be heard on your side um basically today i woke up fairly early and i made the next recording in my series of i can't remember what it called let me have a look what's it called um breaking free from control and manipulation and i think this is the seventh recording called emotionally not emotional dependency how many have i done is it seven one two three four five six seven eight okay the eighth one okay so previous ones you deserve safety recognizing emotional manipulation gaslighting and self-doubt walking on eggshells maybe this time will be different trauma bonding fear of upsetting people and emotional dependency says eight recordings and the first one i did was on the 7th of may so in the last 20 days i've done eight recordings for that podcast i wasn't planning on doing one every day it wasn't at all and i nor do i plan to either i just do them as time goes by but yeah just see what happens i'll be interested to get some feedback from those particular recordings that'd be nice to see if they're or to find out if they're of any use because i've put quite a lot of work into them so uh what else oh i do have a youtube channel i've got a youtube channel and i do have instagram x and tiktok which i upload a video every day to those and a facebook group called jason newland's morning group i just had a bit of a nap with my little boy because it's although it's quite warm now quite hot today but this morning that's a thirsty dog oh this morning it was uh when did i go out about eight o'clock just after eight make a bit more noise please finny thanks as i walked out the main door of the building this lovely breeze gently caressed my face i was gonna say the breeze hit me in the face that's just a bit violent isn't it it caressed me it kissed me it flirted giggled and then ran away it was nice i didn't expect that i really thought it was gonna be like super hot as it has been for the three days and it was such a lovely temperature almost the perfect temperature with the breeze the dog in the garden is not barking as much now because the owner is sort of taking control and stopping it barking and because they used to let the dog bark like non-stop as long as it wanted to now they're not i think what's happened is they're now they get fed up with hearing the barking themselves but this is another dog over the fence like the other side which is just barking a lot during the day and i think it's a good thing that finny doesn't respond generally to the other dogs barking unless there's maybe three dogs all having a good go then finny will jump up and start howling and joining in it's like a party time or if there's a commotion in the garden finny will start barking but generally he's pretty good unless we get a delivery anyone comes up here delivers whether it's to me or to one of the other people in the building he will bark but other than that he's pretty good although sometimes he barks and i can't hear what it is he's barking at it's almost like he's just barking for the sake of it but then i look on the camera the next day and i see that downstairs his cat has come upstairs and sniffing around the hallway then finny can i guess finny can hear it or smell it and he's getting excited so that happens quite regularly late at night so but i have to be i have to be quite strict with finny i've fallen asleep talking is this warm in here i have to be quite strict with any and sort of say no you're not barking at 11 at night or midnight it's not gonna happen no no no no no no no no never never never never never try to think what else i did today yes i made that recording so i woke up fairly early finny has been a bit more clingy to me recently maybe it's because i left him on his own a couple of times last week but normally when i get out of bed he stays in bed till like nine o'clock he gets his 11 hours but not recently he's just following me when i get out which is a little bit problematic because i want to be able to make a hypnosis recording and although i can do it it does depend upon how much noise finny's making if he's fidgeting if he's playing around with a carrier bag or banging against the desk jumping up and down from the settee all those kinds of noises i could do without i just prefer him to be asleep and think no i think he slept by my feet while i was making a recording and just stayed with me so i don't quite know why he didn't go back to bed it's okay if he doesn't want to he doesn't have to during the day like right now i go to the bedroom and go on to it's like he just wants to do the opposite to whatever i ask him to do he's a cheeky little monkey that's what he is see how it was nice today nice weather it's kind of it's 1 31 p.

m on wednesday the 27th of may 2026 and i would say that this is probably kind of peak heat time so i'm not taking him out in this weather even if there is a breeze i'm not taking him out until later this afternoon plus i don't want to be out in it either my body is not built for heat it's not built for heat it's built to eat yeah i am quite pleased with those recordings i haven't made a sleep hypnosis recording for a while so i'm not sure how long it's been let me have a look let me see sleep hypnosis okay right found one found it found it it probably isn't a long time it just seems like a long time because i'm making so many recordings okay it wasn't a long time ago it was the 14th of may it's only 13 days ago natural sleep comes naturally i can't even remember that far back and it's literally just the other day and i did one on the 12th of may called the vanishing mind i did one the 11th of may the corridors where thoughts fall asleep vinny's been a little bit restless did one on the 8th of may stay awake if you can blimey i did one on the 7th of may slow down your mind and i did one on the 1st of may focusing on nothing so here's me saying i haven't done any sleep hypnosis recordings for ages when actually i've done quite a few this month i'm just gonna see how many recordings i've done this month all together so far because we're getting near the end of the month now aren't we let's have a look one two three four five six seven eight ten twelve twelve 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 26 27 28 so this is number 29 it's not that many really is it is it i don't know i think things are going well and i did loads of recordings you know then i look like well actually in the last 27 days i've done 29 recordings which is like one a day pretty much nothing to do somersaults over is it how many i did in april how many have i done this year shall we look how many i've done this year so far yeah come on you know you're interested it's gonna take a while to go back so this year january the first i reckon january february march april may it's gonna be over a hundred it won't be one a day well at least it won't work out one a day i don't think so probably looking at 20 a month no because then that's 80 january february march january february march april may two four six eight it's 125 a month would you be 110 25 what do you reckon i could easily fall asleep if i was doing this recording first thing in the morning when is the best that's the best time to do anything as far as sound goes you know um background sound i would have fallen asleep i guess and that's no lie no lie just looking at this screen just like flying past over a hundred what's that done over a hundred uh i mean my aim very minimum aim is to complete 365 recordings a year you know one a day even if i missed some days out but you know over the over period because some days i'll do three um he's now giving himself a bed bath on the floor stop grunting vinnie actually i said to him do you have to do that you have to give yourself a bed bath while i'm doing recording and he said daddy it's yoga he's got such an attitude on him always has to have the last word as well always i'll be arguing with him and i say no no in a in the bedroom and i just want to hear him say always has to have the last word right here we go first recording of this year 2026 was um first of january let me put you to sleep 1526 so i got one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 22 23 4 25 26 27 28 30 30 yoga should not be that noisy 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 43 44 45 46 47 48 49 52 53 54 55 56 57 58 59 60 61 62 63 64 66 67 68 69 70 71 72 73 74 75 76 77 78 79 80 81 82 83 84 85 86 87 88 89 90 91 92 93 94 95 96 97 98 99 100 101 102 103 104 105 106 107 108 109 110 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 forty-four, thirty-five, thirty-six, thirty-seven, thirty-eight, thirty-nine, forty, forty-one, forty-two, forty-three, forty-four, forty-five, forty-six, forty-seven, forty-eight, forty-nine, fifty, fifty-one, fifty-two, fifty-three, fifty-four, fifty-five, fifty-six, fifty-seven, fifty-eight, sixty-one, sixty-two, sixty-three, sixty-four, sixty-five, sixty-six, sixty-seven, sixty-eight, sixty-nine, seventy, seventy-one, seventy-two, seventy-three, a hundred and seventy-three.

Fifty, sixty, seventy, it is literally about thirty-five a month. Thirty-five, thirty-four, thirty-five recordings a month. That's pretty good, isn't it? Plus, we've still got one, two, three, four days left.

And this recording has to be added on as well. So, a hundred and seventy-three, a hundred and seventy-four, seventy-five, seventy-six, seventy-seven, seventy-eight, seventy-nine, eighty, eighty-one, eighty-two. So, about a hundred and eighty-two recordings I'll have by the end of May.

Which is for a... I don't know, it's quite a few. I need to sort that podcast out, because it's very, very mixed. Got to make sure everything's kind of in order.

Order. Yeah, it's just quite difficult because of how many recordings there are. I mean, on my hypnosis for sleeping deeply, bearing in mind there's six versions of each recording, I have three-thousand-five-hundred-and-seventy-two episodes.

That's too many. The most you're going to see on a podcast, on Apple Podcasts or on any, really, is about two-fifty max. So all the others are pretty much hidden.

You won't see them. Yeah, it's not good, is it, really? Even the Let Me Boy To Sleep, I mean, if I go to that one, there's two-thousand-one-hundred-and-twenty-five episodes on there. Again, you know, six versions of each.

And if I look at this podcast stats and its download stats for custom this year, so forty-three-thousand-nine-hundred-and-sixty-two downloads for the Let Me Boy To Sleep podcast. The top one is, second of March, one-thousand-five-hundred-and-sixty-nine Let Me Boy To Sleep overnight music. And I'm just going to look to see if there's any old ones being listened to.

Nope. Fifteenth of February, two-thousand-twenty-six. Nope.

Anything from two-thousand-twenty-five being listened to? No. Well, from what I can see, so nothing's being listened to before two-thousand-twenty-six, which is kind of, it's kind of crazy, really. When you think about it, all of those thousands of recordings, and nobody's even listening to them.

There's almost no reason for them to be on there, is there? Wow. Nothing, nothing from, I mean, this is the whole year. Nothing prior to two-thousand-twenty-six.

Oh, I found one. Oh, I found one. But this is the first of May.

Oh, okay, no. Eighth of January. So I've got one, New Year's Eve, two-thousand-twenty-five.

So that's been listened to. Nothing else, though. Not nothing else, but nothing else before two-thousand-twenty-six.

I'm just thinking maybe there's no reason to have them on here. How strange. I've not done a huge amount of like, investigation until now.

Wow. Oh, thirtieth of December, two-thousand-twenty-five. Fourteenth of December, two-thousand-and-two.

A lot is there. Crazy. So the whole, let me have a look.

If I go back to the main podcast, Hypnosis for Sleeping Deeply. So I look, um, download statistics, custom. So this year, fifty-six-thousand-eight-hundred-and-fifty-seven.

One-thousand-five-hundred-and-seventy-eight. Let me put you to sleep, is the number one. That was the twenty-first of March, two-thousand-twenty-six.

That was the main one. That's been listened to this year. Turn off your mind and sleep.

Nineteenth of February. Nothing for two-thousand-twenty-five. But on this one, on the, uh, Hypnosis for Sleeping Deeply, I upload all the recordings.

So the Hypnosis ones, again, quite a bit of, uh, listens to as well. No, nothing from two-thousand-twenty-five. This is very much focused on the most recent recordings.

I don't know why. I kind of do know why, but I kind of think I know why. I think it's because I'm making new recordings.

And when it comes to let me put you to sleep and stuff, or even the hypnosis recordings, I think a lot of people would prefer to listen to the newest ones. And me having thousands of recordings available might not be particularly useful in its current format. However, that, the, however, this has got me thinking.

I think I fell asleep then, sorry. Weightless attention. Was that this year? Nope.

I can't find hardly anything that's been listened to before two-thousand-twenty-six. How about if I last twelve months? One-hundred-forty-four-thousand-one-hundred-seventy-two. One-thousand-five-hundred-seventy-eight.

Let me put you to sleep. Twenty-first of March, two-thousand-twenty-six. I'm going to have to listen to that because that's got a large amount of listens, and I don't know why.

One-thousand-five-hundred-seventy-eight. The listens to that one recording is way higher than the second most popular, well, most listened to recording is Silly Animals. Trivia Tuesday.

Okay. Considering this is the hypnosis for sleeping deeply, my most popular recordings are all Let me put you to sleep. All of them.

Apart from... Okay. Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, and the twelfth most popular recording of the last twelve months was a deep sleep whisper hypnosis. Five-hundred-thirty-nine on the twenty-second of June.

Okay. So I'm not sure what to do. I don't know.

The thing is, if I start making changes, I might regret it. And it's not like I want to make changes because I'm frustrated or I want to just... You know. I just want to make it better.

I want to make it... I want to improve the service. And I have been working on my store, jasonnewland.store, going through and making available for as many as possible, for as many as the recordings, all six versions available to download. Just as one download, you know.

Right, that buzz has become a lot louder now. Someone said to me, are you sure you haven't got tinnitus? And they said, no, you're not sure. Well, no, you haven't.

I said, I haven't. They said, how do you know? I said, because I'm in your house and I can't hear it. And that was it.

That was the conversation. That's... I can't go any further back for the stats or I can tell you like... I can't tell you how many I've had at all time, which is a shame. Oh, yes, I can.

Wow. 15,519,964 and 42 total live plays. Now, live plays is not allowed anymore.

I don't even have that service. I don't know why. Fifteen and a half million.

It's not bad, is it? I'd say with the SoundCloud accounts, the two SoundCloud accounts, that takes it up to about 20 million. Various podcasts I've had over the years previous to this, probably had another couple of million. On top.

So, yeah. I'd say probably at least 22, 23 million. Yeah, I'd say roughly.

Oh, I got a new thing. I started eating croissants. Does that make me French? I don't know.

But I started eating croissants. Croissants. With a cup of tea.

I very much do like them. I do make a complete mess of myself though. I think I'll rephrase that.

I don't mess myself. I drop the crumbs of the croissants all down my chest. They're everywhere.

They get everywhere. My voice is going croaky everywhere. It's a bit annoying.

They're nice. I watched a good TV show on Netflix recently. It's called The Burrows.

It's really good. It's about six episodes or eight episodes. I think it's just like a limited series.

I have mentioned it. But I finished watching it yesterday, I think. And I would thoroughly... Before I go.

I just realised. I think I just accidentally did a... You have to watch the video. Otherwise, it doesn't work.

I'm not sure if it works with the video. To be honest. And I'm going to do my Sylvester Stallone impression.

That's it. I can't think of any other actors. No, they're the only two actors in the world.

Instead of Superman's dad. You didn't know that, did you? You didn't notice. Ha, ha, ha, ha.

It's true. It might be true. It's definitely, possibly true.

And also, in Superman 3, which starred Richard Pryor. Okay, Richard Pryor was the biggest Hollywood star in the world. He had signed a contract for 40 million dollars.

Biggest star in Hollywood. Yep, at the time, 40 million. I mean, it's a long time ago.

I mean, it's over 40 years ago. Even now, I'd be okay with 40 million. Oh, wow.

I need to keep falling asleep, so I should stop this recording. Because I'm getting... It's quite... I'm finding myself drifting a little bit. Yeah, I'm going to go.
