Q&A Wednesday Whisper Version And I'm making this for at due request from Ben or for Ben and basically because he posted on the 4th 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th 5 days ago posted on my Facebook group Jason Newland's Nuland's porn group Jason, it's one of them nights and no matter what I do I'm not switching off Doesn't happen often but tonight is one of them nights So let's start early with Q&A Question and answers for next week I've got three or what I thought I would do and I did respond saying Hi Ben,

I will make a special Q&A Wednesday just with the questions from you I'll do it as a whisper so if you have any other questions please add them Ben hasn't added any other questions so I'm just going to cover three questions on here Did I say only listen when you can safely close your eyes?

I'm not sure Oh yeah also I have been working on my website but basically Oh itchy shoulder again Might as well Over the last, well since Friday Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday has been building work going on downstairs my neighbour flat their kitchen being refitted and now Vinnie's making noise but it's been a lot of drilling and banging and I haven't really had much chance to make recordings so there goes my making a recording every day that's gone right out the window because I've not done one I didn't do one on Tuesday I don't think but there you go it's the way it is it's very hard to make a recording with drilling and stuff you know,

with the whole building shaking so what I have been doing because sometimes I get messages asking me how come my recordings are not on Apple anymore they're not updating on whatever particular podcasting app that you use and where can I find the recording or where can I find the specific podcast so what I've done I've gone through and searched for my podcasts for example there are 1, 2, 3 4, 5, 6, 7 8, 9, 10,

I'm going to do what my first question is three questions to answer one is favourite film and how it made you feel and do you ever return to the same thing um my favourite film is It's a Wonderful Life yeah it's a wonderful life that's my all time favourite movie out of any film but I do have other films that I really like but I would say it's a wonderful life is possibly the most watched movie I've ever watched yeah probably the one that I've viewed the most over the years but there's quite a few films that I like that are,

oh Vinnie is really hassling me, just calm down Vin, he doesn't like it when it's quiet, see he's already been out, he's already had a walk, he's had his food, there's nothing that he needs, he's had multiple wee-wees and that was only like two hours ago and now that there's no music there's no sound I think he wants, what he wants is to go into the bed, wants to go into the bedroom and just lie down on the bed but if I do that he's gonna start barking at every sound that the building makes,

anytime someone comes or goes out of a door and we've got a couple of door slammers in this building it just it triggers him to start, there's also a dog downstairs and she's got a puppy, there's a lovely little dog and there's a dog over the fence and there's another dog, there's a few dogs around so once one of them starts barking it's like a domino effect, they'll start playing dominoes, it's weird who'd have thought dogs could play dominoes, what other films, there's some films that I love but I don't really watch them anymore but The Holder,

A Place in My Heart, like Airplane, Life of Brian, The Wanderers, yeah The Wanderers that's one of my favorite all-time movies, The Wanderer, I'm a Wanderer, see at school we actually had, it was a new thing and I didn't understand what it was about until later on but it's often in my life, I didn't really know what was going on but I went along with it anyway and people were breaking up into groups of gangs, there was The Wanderers, there was The Warriors,

there was you know I didn't really know what it was all about and I wasn't allowed in any of the gangs because they were already full so I decided to start my own gang and my, because I was in, well not because but I just happened to be in the remedial group, the Dunces group or whatever which is basically just, that's what they used to call it and teachers called it that but I was a, I guess in the troublemakers group where they just stuck us when we just didn't do what we were told or just,

I imagine the teachers would have called it the unteachable group and there was a few of us, there was probably maybe 10 to 12 of us in there so I bet I made friends with them, this is the first year of high school so I spent a few lessons a week with them, they'd just stick us in a room, leave us on our own, it was generally doing maths just to give the other students a chance I guess to learn without being disrupted, well I got to know the kids,

the other kids so it's kind of a different friendship group and so I started my own gang with some of those lads and some of those lads were rough, like they played a bit too roughly which is why they were perhaps in that group, so what happened is my friend Carl, he was in my group, I called it the I think I called it the Silver Hawks, no logic to that one but just decided let's give it a name, call it Silver Hawks, that's our gang,

so we're walking around and all these different groups of lads were like trying to be tough, pretending to be tough and in gangs, I didn't really, I didn't get what it was all about, I really didn't, and like trying to get into fights with each other but it was kind of play fighting, well my friend Carl didn't realise and someone kind of started on him and he got a little bit carried away and after that all gangs were banned, there was a big, I don't know what they call it,

assembly where the headmaster came out or the deputy headmaster came out and to it and said like no more, because I think they were worried about where it was going to end because my friend had basically just got a little bit carried away, that's all, he didn't mean to hurt anyone but he was just you know wrestling and yeah that's it really, but it stopped it all it was weird, a very weird situation but I loved the movie,

I didn't see the movie until after the event so after all that stuff about you know walking around being in gangs which was bearing in mind I lived in a little tiny little town on the seafront with a beach which most seafronts have I guess a promenade, a pier, there was cafes, coffee shops, charity shops, Woolworths, boots, just standard stuff, had two high schools and I only went to one of the high schools but I did go to three of the different junior schools but the thing is I'd come from a much,

because that was a really gentle place really, not everyone was gentle but you know it was a very kind of quiet place to live and I'd come from a much rougher place previous to that, before the age of seven I was living in a much rougher environment so it was, it was weird, I had to calm down, I had to calm myself down because there was rules and I had to kind of live by those rules and I had to behave myself so I learnt after a while to calm down and that so by the time I went to high school,

again not the first year but by the second year of high school I'd calmed down, the first year of high school, I had a lot of fun but I was naughty, I just wouldn't, I wouldn't let people get away with stuff it's, I don't know, just, I wouldn't, because I was so, I was tiny, so I think some people try to take advantage of that but I wouldn't let them, I mean that's one of the advantages of having lived,

come from the background I came from and also having two older brothers that were a lot bigger than me and I didn't get intimidated by other kids, it just wasn't possible at that time, but yeah the Wanderers, loved that movie, the Warriors are still a great movie but I mean it's much more fighty, a lot more fighty than the, well it's just non-stop fighting but it was a little bit too dark, a little bit, you know, I didn't find it to be very funny and the Wanderers is,

I mean great music and I remember me and my family visit my step-mum's brother in Kent so we went up there, all of us, including my little brother, so all four of us kids and the two parents, so we went up there and there was, I don't know what day it was, I'm guessing it was a Sunday, but it might have been a Saturday, also might have been a Thursday, I don't know but they had this room which was like a spare living room which then led to a big table which also turned into a snooker table or pool table which had,

it was like a games room and it had a jukebox, you didn't have to put any money in, just press the buttons you want to play, not the buttons but you know, choose which song you wanted and there was also a hatch which then you look through it and there's this big kitchen where all the kitchen stuff was, I guess, it's where the kitchen was and there was a door that led round there as well and me and my two brothers were completely obsessed with the Wanderers and even more than the film,

the music, the Wanderers track and we played it on repeat, I'm not going to say it over and over again because that's just the same as saying we played it on repeat, continuously, it's the same isn't it, so I just, over and over again, I wanted to say it, I said it over and over again to the point where every adult in that house completely lost their minds, they were so angry, not really, it started off like, okay, that's enough now lads, and then like, okay, one more time,

play it one more time is fine, you played it 14 times, just one more time and then the coming night, come on, if you keep playing it, you're going to have to turn the jukebox off, and then to turn the jukebox off, I thought I'd turn that off, I've got dog barking now, brilliant, I thought I'd turn that jukebox off in the end my dad had to disconnect the electricity for the whole house, he got a little bit silly, he was an electrician so he could do stuff like that,

kind of ruined the dinner, it was only half cooked, but I loved that movie I suppose another one I really loved is Groundhog Day, everything about that film, just love it, there was another one I really liked, and it's a little bit of a common thread I guess, because there's a degree of feel-good-ness in these movies not The Wanderers, but there's not much feel-good about that movie really other than it's good music and it's iconic Leave the kid alone!

Nicolas Cage, he did two movies that I liked, one is It Could Happen To You, where he wins the lottery, basically buys a lottery ticket, I hope I'm not spoiling this movie, but it is like 35 years old he buys a lottery ticket and he says to the lady behind the counter, if I win I'll give you half, and then he wins, and he gives her half, which doesn't help his relationship with his wife for some reason him giving half the money to a complete stranger, and I can't remember everything that happens in the film,

but it was definitely, I don't know, I liked it then there was another one where he was, it was a Christmas movie, and he's working in the city, and something happens and he wakes up in a little village with kids and a wife, and it's snowing and he's just really happy he's working in a garage, and it's kind of like this is how your life could have been, he gets to live the life that could have been, and there's a very similarity between that and Scrooge,

getting to see the life he could have had and the same is with It's A Wonderful Life, he gets to see what life would have been like if he hadn't been born, so there's a common thread that I like, and I know there's a few movies out there that have a similar kind of take but I like that, I guess that's just the way my mind works, it appeals to me and yeah, so I'll always, I like the Scrooge concept, it's called the Scrooge concept, because it's been used in different formats over the years,

and I like that the idea of coming to realisation that there's always time to change, we don't have to stay stuck, yeah, I like that, there's always options so there are movies, I haven't seen the Nicolas Cage ones for a while, the two that I mentioned, but I do see Groundhog Day every couple of years, I probably watch it every two or three years I watch It's A Wonderful Life probably at least once, maybe twice a year, I actually bought it on Amazon, so it's there, they release it at Christmas for a month or so,

but I've got it, I listen to it, I watch it rather in the summer sometimes, because to me it's not a Christmas movie, it's a feel good movie it's almost, there's a lot of birds out there, it's almost like a reason, I don't know how to explain it, a purpose, finding a purpose, so that's cool I can't think of any other movies that I particularly, particularly, I'm sure there are and I can't, so The Wanderers, It's A Wonderful Life I mean there's movies that are just funny, like Airplane, Naked Gun,

well for me I found them funny, Naked Gun, yeah I don't, although I watch drama movies and I will, I don't, the problem I find is once I've seen a movie there's not a lot of reason for me to watch it twice, because I know what happens, it's only, you know, I know what happens in It's A Wonderful Life and I know what happens in The Wanderers and I know what happens, I can even tell you the dialogue for quite a large part of the movie but I just love those movies,

there are some movies that are just, in my opinion, phenomenal and I don't get to see them, they're not on very often, Ford Coppola, what are they called, Ralph Macchiano, Ralph, okay Did you know that he is, Ralph Macchiano is like 70, oh he's 63, 63 years old, which means when he did The Karate Kid in 1984, he was playing a little kid, like a teenager, he was 23 because I was 13 and I'm now 54, okay so filmography, he was in, he was in, where was it, The Outsiders, 1983,

Francis Ford Coppola The Outsiders and it was such a good movie and it had the loads of really, people that end up being really big stars, like Rob Lowe, Matt Dillon, Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze It was, they were like the new Brad Pack and another movie that I just loved is Rumblefish and that had, why didn't I mention Matt Dillon, oh I did mention Matt Dillon, Matt Dillon was in Rumblefish as well Mickey Rourke was in that, Diane Lane was in both, Nicolas Cage was in, was he in both as well,

no, so these, then both movies, The Outsiders and Rumblefish, loved those movies I think I saw them for the first time in the, probably 87, I think, it's just, the weird thing about it is they made a loss, so Rumblefish, budget was 10 million Box office was 2,494,480, but it's a great movie and I'm pretty sure they made their money up from, I don't know, videos and stuff, TV But anyway, The Outsiders, 10 million and it got 25.7 million The thing is, Ralph Macchio, although he was in that movie and he was one of the stars,

it was kind of the same time as, it was at the same time as the, the same year as the Karate Kid Somehow, he was also good in My Cousin Vinnie, which was 9 years later, you might not know, but you might know, but if you do know, you might not, or not, what you do, is that they brought back the Karate Kid And initially, it was called Cobra Kai and it started in 2018, I think it was just an internet TV show to start with And it had some of the,

well it had quite a few of the original characters, so it had the Karate Kid himself, it had his nemesis, it has people that were in the original movie, like William Zabka, he was in the Karate Kid And then you had Cordy and Kangler, actually they're his kids I think, you've got Romario Exolo Ramirez, he's in it as well, but now he's also, he was in Beetle, Blue Beetle, the DC comic movie I'm just trying to find, right, Martin Cove, oops, keep banging that metal thing, stop it, Martin Cove,

he was in the Karate Kid, he was the instructor, the bad man, he's in it And then you've got Thomas, that is him isn't it, right, do you know, if you watched the Karate Kid, the third one, he basically, he was the instructor with long hair And he was very naughty, and he got the Karate Kid to start doing stupid things, really silly things, in order to try and win back his girlfriend And he plays Terry Silver in the Karate Kid Part 3, and now, oh he's also in Dolly Parton's Christmas on the Square,

which is, sounds interesting Anyways, a naughty man, very naughty, who've we got here, the next question, your favourite thing about where you live, and future plans, now that you've made friends with the other neighbour, moving, or do you want to change?

I'd like to get out of here, it's going to take a fair bit of work for me to get in a position to get out of here, but yeah, I mean in some ways it's fine, but it's just a lot, it's not really my scene, never has been Yeah, I want to get out if I can, move somewhere, especially as I've got, you know as I'm getting older, I'm thinking, well, I need, well I don't need to, but find a way to actually have some fun I'm not sure what that entails,

but it'll be, I think I'd like to, I'm planning, not in a huge way, but I plan to try and set up the foundations over the next year to be able to get out of here Whether it's all the time or just part time, so it might be a case of I just live here, it'll be my base and I'll travel, or spend half my time in another part of the world or part of the country, I don't know, I just, it's, I have to wait and see Yeah, definitely,

future plans, yeah, I think being here is not great for me, it'd be good to get out, maybe get married, maybe not, who knows But I live in a tiny little village in the middle, there's nothing around, and it's limited, and I think it'd be quite nice to just go somewhere where I don't know anyone, I don't really know many people around here, but there's no one that I'd miss There's no one in this town where I live that I would miss, there's no one that, yeah, I don't really miss people anyway,

but, you know, my best friend went, he left in November last year, not last year, the year before, 2023 And that's it really, I've got a couple of other friends around the country, but the people around here are just neighbours, and not living in their pockets or anything, not that I'd fit So yeah, definitely, I want to change, and I had the opportunity to get out of here two years ago, nearly three years ago, and I didn't take it, and I kind of wish I had now But it's okay,

it's fine, I just need to create that opportunity, whether it takes a year, whether it takes five years, I'd like to experience a bit more of life Yeah, I would, so, maybe travelling around Asia, maybe travelling around America, visiting Australia, Canada, New Zealand, visiting Europe, going through Europe, you know, Spain All the different places I'd like to go to Bombay That's just a new thing, I want to visit Bombay I realise I'm a few thousand years late, but I imagine it was quite a good place to live for a while Diddle that blimmin' mountain through

up, pood over everyone So, number three, do you think you can stick to the plan, because 365 days is a hell of a long time for a recording every day?

And I hope you do, because I love listening every night, you're my go-to, but I hate the fact people, I hate the whispers You know what, I don't think my, yeah people do, a lot of people don't seem to like the whispers today Shush Vinnie A lot of people are not big fans of the whispers, but you know, out of all my podcasts that I've done in the past when I was making the recordings, I would say this Deep Sleep Whisper Hypnosis podcast was one of the most successful ones So yeah,

maybe if it's hypnosis it's more acceptable to some people than doing a let me fall into sleep, I don't know But even though the people who will express how they feel possibly won't like the whisper stuff, the stats show a different answer to that question Because they generally get quite a lot of listens, I don't know who's listening, but there are a lot of people that do like the whisper stuff, but there's people that don't And I've got written on my wall, it's a quote from Buddy Holly,

I've had that on my wall for probably 8 years, which just shows you that I need to get out of this place It's on a piece of paper, it's a quote from Buddy Holly, this is when I used to have my desk over here, so I can see it now I don't see this very often, but now the way my desk is situated, it's to the right of me, but it used to be to the left of me Anyway, the quote is,

the best way to fail is to try to please everyone And it's a good thing to remember, it's been up there so long that the writing started to fade, serious Above my, I've got other things written all around here, so above my door, actually written on the paintwork, you know the frame bit And I wrote this probably the first year I moved in, so that was 2015, I deserve to be happy So that's up there, it's been there since I moved in And then on the wall over there,

I've got this above the, this wasn't your question I know, but above the window, I've got written down, it's been there for a few years as well Excellence is not a singular act, but a habit, you are what you do repeatedly Oh I've got another one, this is over the other side of the room You do nothing, you get nothing, I quite like that one And the last one is a recent one that I added, it's on the wall, on the other side of the wall Do what you have to do,

will you shush, shush Do what you have to do, so that you can do what you want to do So I quite like that None of these are my quotes, they're just things that I hear, apart from I deserve to be happy, I decided to write that But the other ones are just quotations that I thought, yeah, I'm gonna stick that on my wall And probably the best quotation, and I got this from Elle Nightingale And it's my favourite, my favouritest of all time is We become what we think about We become what we think about,

most of the time So whatever we spend most of our time thinking about, that is what we become And I had this on my wall, and I had a couple of people come into my flat Again, this was, why were they in my flat? Oh yeah, they came in to put up my shed, so it tells you how long ago that was Quite a few years back, I used to have a shed in my room And then I took the shed out, yeah, so I had a shed in my bedroom And then I remember one of them saying, what does that mean?

I said, well just read it, we become what we think about No, I don't know what it means And I thought, it just seems so obvious what it means, but maybe I don't know, just, I guess it makes sense in the context of what I was reading Or the audio book I was listening to But yeah, I mean a good example of that is People who live a negative life, where they're always focusing on problems Then that's what they're going to get more of That's, it's just,

it's not a plain thing to me It's just a standard thing that I've tried and tested myself throughout my life I'm never going to be the most positive person But I definitely have in the past been the most negative So I've moved away from that You know, I'm not going to be, miss the positive all the time But compared to how I used to be, not all the time I'm just, like when I got in that mode, it was ridiculous You know, blaming everybody else When the fact is,

the blame isn't really necessary, I don't think Not anymore I know that wasn't your question, but I just love these sayings, I love the, I realise this For me it's like, I see them every day and hopefully it will be absorbed into my mind And I am affected by what I read and what I see and what I hear I think we're all affected, but I just can only really I can only really express or explain and know 1000% that I am affected So if I see positive messages, it helps If I had messages all around the flat saying, life is crap, nothing's going to go right And just had them blasted all over the world How would my brain be?

How would my mental health be?

You know, just, that's why I say, well it's not going to make any difference putting up some positive notes As just pretense and whatever But then if you say, okay, put negative stuff up instead And then probably agree that that wouldn't be useful It wouldn't be helpful to have negative comments blasted all over the world Negative messages, negative affirmations, I don't know what the opposite to affirmations is Affirmations, affirmations So if seeing negative messages every day can have an effect Then obviously seeing helpful and positive and uplifting messages every day must also have an effect Can't have one without the other As far as the 365 days goes,

I've already ruined that Because of the building work going on downstairs I sat here waiting to do a recording and when the building work stopped I was too tired There's a certain time which is good for me to make recordings And evening's not good It's more like late morning, early afternoon That's my best time for making recordings Because, you know, I'm awake, I'm alert, I've got some energy It just seems to be my most thorough moment That's probably not the correct word So yeah, I messed up the 365 days However,

at the end of this year I may well have done more than 365 recordings That's not including all the ones with music and without music and stuff Just individually different recordings They may well be over 365 And if there is, then it will be the most I've ever done I think the most I've done in one year is about 240 I think I think So, that's everything I know it's probably not been a very long recording Because I've been so, I've stuck to the,

I've stuck to the task And I went out with Vinnie earlier It was so cold, I didn't wear my hat I don't know why And it's the first time I've been outside Taking him out without my hat For quite a while And I shaved my head A few weeks ago, or a couple of weeks ago Maybe last week I think just before the New Year's I shaved my head And I went out this morning with him I didn't have my gloves on I didn't have my hat on It was so cold Like so cold I mean,

cold My ears Were aching with the cold, it was that cold My hands were cold It was cold, that's what basically it And he wanted to go for a long one Now if I'd have had my hat and my gloves on We could have just trotted around I was pleading for him Please do a poo Do a poo, please So I can actually come home again Oh man Anyway, that's it That's me done So, this is,
