Hello and welcome to Relax and Sleep Hypnosis Daily. My name is Jason Newland and please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. My website is jasonnewland.com where you can find all my different recordings, play them, stream, download, whatever.
There may be some background sounds in the background as opposed to where else, but yeah, it's okay. I know it's easy enough for me to say it's okay because I'm not the one listening to it, but sometimes having some background sounds is useful, listening to a recording like that, because it can kind of get you used to being able to let go, relax deeply and allow your mind to just drift off to sleep if that's what you choose to do.
And you know, instead of being or needing complete silence, now I know that a lot of people listening to this will be listening with background music.
So you kind of, any background sounds would probably be pretty much drowned out by the background music anyway. And anything in the background, it's so far into the distance and although the microphone may pick up some of that stuff, it's going to be very faint because generally the microphone only picks up kind of what's in front of it. It's just built that way.
But I find, this is just a personal preference, I find that I can now sleep or relax deeply regardless of what's going on outside. Now, I say that if there was a rocket being launched, yeah, maybe not, because I'm guessing that would be quite loud. But then, you know, logically, if there was a rocket being launched from my back garden, I think the noise is going to be the least of my worries.
Of course, you've got the sound of my squeaking chair. So, I suppose I've done a few recordings where I've talked about background sound, but there was a time in my life when I really, really couldn't stand any kind of background sound, whether it be a television or even someone knocking on the door or a letter being put through the letterbox. When I was in bed, I used to really, I used to get upset.
Now, it's not that I don't get woken up by sounds, because I do still, but it doesn't bother me and I can fall asleep with sound in the background. Now, I know that not everyone's listening to this because they want to go to sleep. Some people will be listening because you just want to relax or you just want to take your mind off things for a while and allow yourself to perhaps just be bored, you know, allow my voice to wash over you and send you, send your mind in a different direction to perhaps where it's been.
So, you can start to think about nice things and think about some pleasant, maybe pleasant memories or some things that you're looking forward to doing in the future, maybe. So, you know, there's lots of things you can think about. You can think about what I'm talking about.
I wonder, as you think about the future, what kind of things do you think about? What kind of things do you imagine? And I'm talking about positive things, things that you have to look forward to. So, what do you look forward to? And it doesn't have to be something that's going to happen in six months time or a year. Maybe something is going to happen tomorrow or the weekend or maybe even in, you know, an hour.
Perhaps it could be a television show that I'm looking to watch or you're looking to watch or something you're looking forward to, someone you're looking forward to seeing or talking to on the phone, maybe. Or perhaps it's a meal that you're looking forward to eating. So, even with background sound, when you start thinking about, because ultimately, if you think about it, I'm background sound.
That's what I am at the moment. As you sit there or lie there, I'm background sound. Of course, you have complete control over this particular sound, you know, volume-wise.
Hopefully, the volume will be a bit louder on this recording than normal because I've managed to find a way to increase the volume on the podcasts. That's something people have been complaining about for a long time. So, I've managed to find a way to do that.
So, when you think that I'm a background sound, but this is a positive thing. So, going back to something that you're looking forward to, something that you're, you don't necessarily have to be all excited about it, but maybe you are. Perhaps you have an overall feeling of well-being when you think about that particular activity that you're going to be engaging in.
You think about it and you imagine how it's going to feel, or maybe you kind of know what it's going to feel like because you've done it before. You've been there before, you've done it before, and it's, you know, you kind of, you can predict how good you're going to feel. And it feels nice.
It feels nice to just imagine being and doing that thing, whether you've done it before or not. It doesn't really matter because it's all about how you feel when you think about it. And, you know, with imagination and when your mind starts to drift, sometimes a thought is almost like walking down stairs or moving stairs like an escalator.
And you take one step and it just moves, and it just keeps moving from one thought to the next. But the next thought might be, you know, connected to the particular thought that you are having. And you keep moving.
And as you move, you start to go deeper into physical and mental relaxation. Your mind starts to slow down as your body continues to relax. And even though we're not necessarily focusing on your shoulders, your chest, or your stomach, your back, not focusing on your arms or your hands and fingers, relaxing.
We're not focusing on your legs, your feet and toes, relaxing. We're not focusing on your face, your jaw, your mouth, tongue, eyes, forehead, relaxing. But relax, they do continue to just slowly drift.
It's almost like each muscle has its own little brain, its own mind. And each one of those minds starts to fall asleep and just starts to drift, to dream positive, healthy, happy thoughts. And as that happens, your main mind slows down even more to the point where perhaps it feels as if your mind has almost come to a stop, almost come to a standstill.
Maybe you even feel as if things seem as though they're moving in slow motion. Very, very slow, very, very relaxed, calm and quite hypnotic, like a dripping tap, just dripping. And each one of those drips represents more of the tension, remaining tension or stress leave in your body.
And that continues and can continue long after this recording is finished. That constant release of any tension or stress can continue to release so that you can experience feeling freer as well as more relaxed and calm, loose as you focus on your mind. You may notice that everything seems very quiet and that might seem or feel unusual to you.
How easily you have made your mind slow down and calm down. And it may surprise you just how relaxed your body feels. And you may, may not even be able to feel parts of your body.
It's almost like they've disappeared, like your legs have just vanished, but in a good way, you know, very just vanished into the air. Your arms, your body, maybe even your head, everything moving so slowly as to make you seem almost invisible. Even time may seem to feel different.
When things are moving so slowly, internally, every part of your body, filling with healing, relaxed energy, spreading through your veins, soaking into your bones, healing all of your major organs, relaxed and calm. Healing, deeply healing. As you continue to move down those moving stairs, the escalator moving down, going deeper.
Maybe you're not even hearing my voice anymore. Perhaps everything's become so quiet. You feel so peaceful, nothing to do, nothing to say.
So very peaceful, so peaceful and calm, loose. Moving down, going even deeper, even further. Relaxed, deeper and relaxed, letting go of all thoughts disappearing.
Maybe you are still able to think about something you're looking forward to. Perhaps you can't be bothered to think about it. You know it's there and you know that there's things to look forward to.
You can't, just can't be bothered to think about that because you feel so comfortable, comfortable, so relaxed, so very, very peaceful, feels so good. Relaxed, loose and calm, loose and calm, relaxed, deeper and deeper, relaxed, deeper and deeper, relaxed. As that moving stairs continues to move, travel further down, more relaxed, so peaceful, so peaceful, so peaceful.
Paragraph spacing and recurring name or title errors have been tidied. Because this began as a voice transcription, an occasional word or piece of punctuation may still be incorrect.
