Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland and this is Relax and Sleep Hypnosis Daily. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. I hope you're well.
I'd like you to get yourself comfortable. Ideally sitting in a comfortable chair where the chair will support your body in the event of you falling asleep, or maybe laying down on a bed or flat surface like a couch, sofa. The main thing is for you to be comfortable.
I thought today what we could do is a few, a few affirmations. So I'm going to say some very simple sentences. I don't do complicated sentences.
And I'd like you to repeat after me. Now if you want you can say them out loud or you can just say them to yourself in your mind. Either way is up to you.
And the down, well I'm not saying the downside, but if you're in bed or if you're, if you're with someone you probably don't want to be saying it out loud. And if you're listening, you know, with headphones, as an example, if you're in bed and you're, you know, you're planning to fall asleep, then maybe also do it, say it inside your mind.
Because if you're talking, then at the end of it, you might need a drink of water or something because you're using your vocal cords and your vocal cords then perhaps just, you know, like if you talk, you need to drink, you know, generally if you're talking a lot, not that you'll be talking a lot, but I hope that makes sense.
It's just, just an idea. So these are going to be positive sentences, but you might not necessarily agree with them. So just say them anyway, and they're not going to be controversial or anything like that, but say them anyway, and notice how you feel.
Because some of the sentences may not be something that you would normally say to yourself, or you may not even feel that they're true. But I'd like you to say them anyway, okay, because the sentences are more about how you can feel, as opposed to maybe how you're feeling right now. Because then you can notice any changes that occur within you, as you say these words, and also noticing how you feel after you've said the sentence.
So when you repeat after me, noticing how you feel, within yourself, emotionally and physically. So the first sentence is going to be, I relax easily. Okay, so I'll say it, we're going to say it 10 times.
I'll keep track of the amount of times, and what I'd like you to do, I'll say it out loud, and then you can repeat it. And just notice and focus on how it feels to say those words, and how it feels after you've said the words. So the sentence again is, I relax easily.
So I'm going to start now, and I'm going to say it 10 times. Each time I'll leave a space, a gap for you to repeat it. Okay, so we're going to start now.
I relax easily. I relax easily. I relax easily.
I relax easily. I relax easily. So how did that feel? I realize it might be a little bit weird to be saying stuff like that to yourself.
It may be absolutely normal. You may have done stuff like this before. You know, affirmations, it's not anything new.
So maybe you have, and you kind of, you know, how do you feel? Because it's about the words that you're saying. When you said it the 10th time, did it feel different? Or how did it feel different from the first time that you said it? How was the seventh time different from the fourth time? Did you notice any physical changes in your body? Did you notice your mind calming?
The next thing we're going to do is another sentence. We're going to just progress from the original one.
So instead of saying, I relax easily, we're going to say, I'm feeling more relaxed. I'm feeling more relaxed. Okay.
And as you say this 10 times like before, I'd like you to notice how you feel as you say the words. How you physically feel, how you emotionally feel. And then also how you feel after you said the words.
And then noticing how you feel differently as you progress, saying the same sentence more times. So how do you feel in the fourth time compared to the first time? And so on. So we're going to start now 10 times.
I'm going to do the same as before, leave a gap after I've said the sentence. And the sentence of course is, I'm feeling more relaxed. Starting now.
I'm feeling more relaxed. I'm feeling more relaxed. I'm feeling more relaxed.
How did that feel to say those words? How did you feel? Physically, emotionally, how comfort seems to just increase so easily by just saying the words. Actually have an effect on what happens next by telling yourself that you can relax easily and that you're feeling more relaxed. It just gives yourself suggestions to actually act out those words in a way that brings comfort and calmness to your mind and your body.
Not just now but the feeling of calmness will continue as the muscles in your body relax even deeper. As your mind lets go and feels so much calmer, the next words we're going to say is I'm letting go of everything. I'm letting go of everything.
And as before, I'll say it 10 times giving you some space to repeat the same sentence. And as before, just notice how you feel as you say those words. I'm letting go of everything.
Notice how you physically feel. Notice how your mind feels more calm, comfort and relaxed. Starting now, I'm letting go of everything.
Okay, how did that feel? To say those words to yourself, how much more relaxed do you feel now compared to how you did before? And you can enjoy the sense of comfort, calmness and relaxation that continues to spread and deepen in your body and your mind. As you count down from 100 all the way down to 1. Counting in your mind, starting now with 100 and keep counting until you can count no more.
Starting now.
Paragraph spacing and recurring name or title errors have been tidied. Because this began as a voice transcription, an occasional word or piece of punctuation may still be incorrect.
