Hello and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep. My name is Jason Newland and this is what is this? A boring recording. It's a boring recording.

Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. I've posted a little post on my Facebook group Jason Newland's boring group to my 12 listeners, my 12 members. I just put I'm now going to record a new Let Me Bore You To Sleep.

It will be a Q&A. Ask me anything. I will start the recording in a few minutes which I have.

I shall keep an eye on this page throughout so feel free to ask me anything. Kissy kissy kissy and like just kissy kissy actually and in brackets the recording is not being streamed live just so you're not missing anything. You know I will record it like I normally do but then I will edit it and stuff so you won't hear this live.

You won't hear me saying you know post a comment or something and but maybe what I'll do. Yeah maybe I'll do a new thing like every week maybe a Q&A Friday. You can ask me any questions you like or ask me what I think about certain things.

You know gotta be a little bit careful if it's I don't want to be controversial. Not really my thing. Used to be my thing.

Used to really used to be my thing but it's not anymore. I'm all about peace baby. So I will keep an eye on this throughout the recording.

I've not really given well I haven't ever I've not given any notice really. It's been up there for six minutes and I've literally just started recording so it was up there for five minutes. Surely that's enough time.

I realize that there's going to be people on parts of the world that will be in bed right now so you won't even see this message until you know you wake up maybe in eight hours time or whatever. But it's okay I might look to do a weekly one or a monthly one. Let me know let me know what you think because I pretty much decided that well I didn't decide to stop doing these anyway but I decided to I'm just going to keep doing these.

I'm going to keep doing the let me bored sleep until I can no longer do them. So basically just do them until I'm unable to. So that's it that's my plan.

It's not a huge plan but as long as they are useful and people gain some kind of benefit from them I will continue. If it gets to a point where no one's listening anymore and it's you know then I'll stop.

But if anything more people are listening the audience is growing constantly like on a daily basis it's for the actual because you know in the in the past when things were going really when things were going really well with the podcasts before I had loads of my stuff deleted because it had music and I was getting probably maybe 700 it's hard to remember now 700 plays a day maybe sometimes more than that from the Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcast on its own and then I was getting thousands on the other podcasts.

So I was probably getting about a million a year all in all throughout the different podcasts of the let me bored sleep out of the I don't know six million I was getting a year between all of the stuff. Well that that definitely got cut a big chunk of that got cut because I lost a lot of those podcasts and stuff.

Well this is this is really positive upbeat isn't it and so I'm pretty much down to three podcasts now and I've got I've got quite a few on Spreaker still but that's just without music and they don't get much traction at all but the Let Me Bore You To Sleep one is now getting uh maybe ranges between one and a half thousand to two thousand a day um plays so I've had 10,221 in the last seven days so it's that's including today so today's not finished yet uh 60,000 in the

last month so it's it's there's more more people listening on the actual podcast now than they used to I know I've I've quite days the 15th of March is 464 but then the 22nd of March was 4,177 plays so you know just it up it's up and down and so I don't know what I'm trying to say I'm trying to say something but it is I guess I'm trying to aren't I wonderful that's that's really what I'm trying to say aren't I wow I am amazing blimey okay so now the

the message I posted has been seen by three people but no one has left a comment or ask me anything I know you can't hear me but you can't hear me but you can't hear me live maybe I should do this live but where where should I do it live I don't know but then if I do it live you're gonna hear me coughing and you're gonna hear me you're gonna hear Vinnie barking and all that stuff that's really not conducive to um peaceful relaxation and sleep and stuff it you

know it can be like really peaceful and then suddenly Vinnie hears someone walking out their front door a mile away and he's just like it's like really really loud very high pitched but right now he's happy he's eating his bone he's a very happy young lady at the moment blessing right here we go here we go here we go Ben Ben has started the race off you're now ahead of everyone else now yay go Ben uh first of all Ben thank you for listening so I know you're a regular so

um Ben says to me asks me what made you decide should I do it in his voice what made you decide to become a sleep specialist and if you won the lotto would you still record now I don't know what I'm sorry Ben I know you that doesn't it's not what you sound like I've got no idea what you sound like I'm just being silly uh I'll stop uh what made you as another listener I've lost what made you decide to become a sleep specialist and if you won the lotto

would you still record well of course I wouldn't I'd be gone no I would I'd you know what okay let's I'll do the first bit first what made me decide to become I'm not I wouldn't class myself as a specialist of anything if I'm honest um how I ended up doing these it's you know this is going to be a long boring story you realize this is no quick way of you could ask me whether or not how many cups I've got in the kitchen and it would take me about

an hour to go and I'd start talking about radishes and some lego set I had when I was seven you know just like getting to the point it's not always that easy so okay what made you decide to become asleep okay so in 2006 I I personally wasn't interested in the only thing I was interested in really was chronic pain relief I'll be honest that that was the only thing that really caught my imagination as far as helping other people however I'd been through a really really difficult time with anxiety

from 2002 November and it lasted for a long time it was it's worst in 2003 and 2004 2003 I lost my job I lost a lot a lot of stuff because of it because I was really ill with it I just yeah just wow really affected me anyway and panic attacks and white stuff I won't go into all that but I have spoken about it before I think anyway I I used to make recordings for myself in about 2003 2004 hypnosis recordings to help me to relax and then I realized

that they were quite good for sleeping so I'd make them for sleeping as well and it would I'd be giving myself positive suggestions suggestions to relax suggestions to calm down and stuff like that and I was by 2005 I'd start whilst in 2004 but in 2005 I was regularly using hypnotic techniques during the day when I was at work to keep my anxiety under control now I just want to point out at this time at this time I had not I had a history of anxiety and depression and stuff but

I didn't know that I was bipolar that I wasn't diagnosed until the end of 2010 I think it was 2010 yeah I think it was with 2011 I lose track anyway so I wasn't that diet so I didn't know about that I didn't realize that I needed medication and stuff other than antidepressants which I kept being on and off for years anyway see it's a long drawn out thing have I got any other messages come on give me some more comments so I don't get stuck on just one one more

another question okay so um I so I did that and they seemed to help but I did discover one thing that's and this is a reason why I very rarely focus on breathing because I noticed when I did that it used to sometimes make me worse and I'd also been studying meditation from the end of 2002 and I was heavily into meditation for a few years well I was into meditation right the way up to probably about 2013 so it's quite quite a while and not so much into that not

so much like involved in that but I learned how to calm down and how to relax and the body scan and all that stuff focusing on the different body parts and I noticed that as I relaxed my breathing naturally became deeper and slower but I didn't if I tried to do that sometimes I'd end up going into panic so I didn't like to sort of try and control the breathing as much as just relaxing and the breathing slowed down naturally and that was just for me and I realized that that's

part of the reason why I don't really include something that a lot of people do a lot of books would tell you to do is to take deep breaths and all that stuff and then let it out and whatever I don't do that but then everything I do is very slow uh so anyway it's a long this is a long-winded way but I did in 2006 I in 2004 I spent two years trying to help people locally with chronic pain using hypnosis and nobody was interested I just couldn't get any

interest I did a bit of hypnosis with friends for relaxation and stuff like that and they always fell asleep always and just oh okay and I noticed even in the late 90s even maybe in the 90s I noticed that I'd be talking to people and sometimes their eyes would glaze over and their eyelids would start to shut and I discovered this a lot more I really had a real big like pingy moment ding moment in 1997 98 it was before I'd even started studying hypnosis I was in counseling and because

I had a big family thing had happened and just I just needed counseling so I went to counseling in the local university and it was a student counselor and I was going there on a I think it was a Saturday morning funny enough and so I went there for probably two three three or four weeks and I was in there and she was there and she was talking to me and again I've talked I've told this story before but knew nothing about hypnosis other than what I'd seen on television Paul

McKenna was pretty much it in the UK as Ben you probably would agree with that one he was the the main hypnotist on television Paul McKenna's magical world or something it during the 90s and or even in was it the 80s or 90s it was 90s it might be in the late 80s as well but he was very famous it still is I guess but yeah back then he had a tv show and so I didn't know I thought it was just getting people to act silly and I thought literally

if you just said to someone sleep they would they could just flop their head down and they'd be asleep because that's you'd have to have the magic though you'd have to be able to know what to do and anyway it isn't quite like that in reality it's uh and I've studied state hypnosis as well anyway not at that point I haven't so I'm sitting opposite this lady she's probably 19 20 and I was about 27 I guess and she asks me a question and I answer it and as I'm talking

I think at some point I'm looking around I'm just you're not really looking at her and then I look at her and I notice that she's not she's not moving and I thought well I'm not that I'd expect her to be dancing or anything just but just she wasn't almost like she was like a statue sitting there and I thought okay and I continued talking and her eyes were glazed over I mean they were watery almost and then she started closing her eyes were like blinking and then the blinks became

slower but her eyes stayed closed for longer so it turned from blinks to really slow motion blinks and then eventually I continued to talk thinking I was being very interesting in my enigmatic manner and she was gone she had her eyes closed for about a few minutes a few minutes it wasn't like a long long time wasn't like she's still there now she's now in her 40s like she you know it was her eyes were closed for quite a while quite a while good like probably three three or four minutes

and I just sat there I stopped talking I just sat there thinking is this a joke is she gonna like pop up you know open her eyes start laughing gotcha kind of you know is there a camera in here just to see what my response would be some kind of psychological experiment you know to see whether or not I would steal a cake from the table or I don't know draw a moustache on her with a biro I don't know whatever people would do psychological tests for but I just I

just sat there and then I thought you know what I'm gonna test this and see what she's if she's really asleep or if I start talking about something weird will it nudge her out of her sleep so I started talking about lawnmowers and aliens with lawnmowers and just making stuff up the most random weird it's hard to believe that I would ever be able to do that but I just came up with a just very very surreal weird rubbish really and I'm just talking at her the same tone I'm not

like talking loudly or anything and then she opened her eyes after about three or four minutes and with a jolt kind of like oh now I don't remember if she was snoring or not she might have been I can't remember I can't remember I don't don't know but she I said you fell asleep and she denied it with every particle of her being I didn't fall asleep if she did you fell asleep you closed your eyes and you was asleep you had your eyes closed for at least four minutes four

or five minutes actually I probably said 20 minutes but you know got a lie sometimes and she said no no I didn't you did you fell asleep no I didn't I'm professional I wouldn't do that I'm a student and I know how traumatic that would be for someone especially that's coming here with like PTSD issues you'd no way would you would I fall asleep with a vulnerable client during a counseling session I said well that's what you did mate that's what you did you fell asleep I wouldn't lie which isn't

true because I would lie but the thing is when it's like I didn't know it did actually really happen not the aliens would have a law the lawnmowers but her falling asleep it's so to seed okay maybe that's not a good thing to talk about I was like I didn't sow a seed it's so to seed in my brain that I didn't really give much thought to I found it funny and I told everyone and I didn't connect that with me I connected it with her like it was her fault

she's unprofessional she was clearly must have been drinking the night before maybe she's drunk now she didn't get enough sleep or whatever I didn't think for one second that maybe I was boring her I didn't think that I didn't have the ability I didn't have the ability to be that critical about myself and I'd say probably the reality is I did a border and it's kind of yeah it was a bit weird but it didn't really I didn't really think much of it anyway and then a few months later I

started noticing well I just started noticing people's eyes glazing over when I spoke to them especially when I was talking about something that I was interested in and I could see that they weren't and I could notice when even in the past when people were just waiting to talk but I would continue talking because generally I'm not particularly necessarily a chat box unless it's something that I'm interested in or if I'm in the zone if I'm just feel like chatting and as long as it's not a confrontational situation or the

person's not being rude then I'm cool and I did start to notice that people would be literally trying to stop themselves from yawning and it wasn't great for my self-esteem if I'm honest and then I went through a period when I was a DJ after that and I kind of my self-esteem got boosted and I was studying hypnosis and I thought well no it wasn't me being boring it was just that I have I have the natural magic of hypnosis in my bones it's like I can do it easily and

it's it's just something that comes very naturally to me to be able to affect someone and put them into a hypnotic trance with my talking voice when the fact is I was just probably really boring that's all it was so I didn't really think anything of it the the when I started learning hypnosis in 2008 no no am I saying two thousand 1998 sorry so it's 1997 was the counselling 1998 I started learning hypnosis and 2004 no to 19 2000 to about 2000 time I made a little recording at my

cousin's house a little hypnosis relaxation recording because he had all his equipment a microphone and I thought oh I sound okay you know but the internet was very new back then you know and there was there wasn't really any streaming or even downloading of audio back then I don't think so I just like didn't think anything of it if you're going to do something you'd sell you'd sell recordings like on CD or tape or something um so I I've got another I've got other messages coming through now one from so

oh this might be the longest recording I ever do which isn't good it's well it's not bad it's not bad but it's you know anyway um that planted another little seed as well so these little seeds were being planted the fact that I was noticing that people's eyes were glazing over and they were trying to hold in yawns sometimes they wouldn't even try and hold it in they'd yawn in my face some sometimes they'd suck in when they yawn I'd end up with my head in their mouth but that's fine

and then I'd talk to women on the phone when I started doing call center work in the I started being on the phone in the late 90s I used to get a lot of women tell me that I had a nice voice they had a nice telephone voice and sometimes they'd be looking forward to seeing me because they'd be booking to come to the comedy club and I'd just be helping out in the office and they'd be all excited to meet me until of course they saw me and then they'd

run but no not always and then I thought oh okay so maybe my voice is okay so I kind of thought hmm and there was another situation where I did a I was very I was very enthusiastic when I finished one of my training courses in the 90s late 90s and I decided to put on a hundred pound for a week for a hundred people to do like a week-long training where I could help them to relax and do whatever they wanted phobias and stuff I didn't plan it very well

one person turned up so I said to her well it's it's not on because no one turned up and you're the only person but I'm happy to spend a couple of hours with you for free and we did and she I helped her with an issue that she had an anxiety issue and she said it was it really helped she was a musician that's all I remember really and this is going back to 1999 I think it was and then we come to 2000 2001 working centers 2002 then I got

involved in buddhism quite quite heavily kind of and learning meditation so that helped as well towards the kind of stuff that I was able to do and 2000 so we skip forward to 2020 2004 to 2006 I tried to get people to pay me if that didn't happen 2006 for some reason it all kicked off went well people started contacting me had a website I also started volunteering doing relaxation sessions but it wasn't to start with it was an alcohol charity and it was basically just helping people to use an

NLP in hypnosis it wasn't specifically for relaxation and at the end of the the session it's a Monday night at the end I do a relaxation session and the staff liked that and the customer the people that were visiting liked it as well so I ended up moving away from the other stuff and just doing relaxation sessions like once a week there and then it became twice a week and then and a drug alcohol a drug rehab center contacted me and asked me to do the same thing there as well

and you know most of the staff would attend as well as the clients so that's when I started doing the relaxation sessions and then someone said to me after a few months um it's okay but it's you know it's really good we only only get to see you once a week and is there any way of you doing a recording a tape or cd or something that way I can listen to you when I go home because quite often I find I fall asleep when I listen to you here because

people would be snoring sometimes so I did that made cds they went they were free so they went really quickly in both I did it for both places and people listening to them falling asleep relaxing and falling asleep and then I it was getting too expensive for the charities to be keep making these cds so I decided to upload them onto my website so people could download them for free so that's what I did and then I started recording the recording recording the sessions and then making them available for the

people that listen you know to download them so they could re-listen to it and then from then on that's when I started realizing that people were enjoying the relaxation and they were falling asleep to it and then this is going on for a bit isn't it and then I started because I had the website so I had audios on there and I started looking around I discovered podcasts and then so I started uploading my recordings onto podcasts onto a particular podcast host called free podcast host or something it's long gone

and I started making more recordings terrible quality sound sometimes they were in the park sometimes you know you try and find a quiet place I lived on a main road so there was never apart from night time it was always fairly trafficky you know and then I discovered YouTube and Facebook myspace myspace was the first one I started uploading relaxation sessions and I ended up with three different things I did chronic pain was still my little baby I wanted to because I did I missed this bit out I spent 2006

visiting people and then having a room in a therapy center part-time I was working full time this was just part-time no money it was just I had to pay for it but helping people with chronic pain relief and people started coming for other stuff and anyway that that that lasted for a while I carried on with the alcohol and drug charities from beginning nearly beginning April 2006 until about November October time whatever 2007 and yeah so during that time I started doing online stuff I wanted the chronic pain relief sessions

to be the popular ones and they were okay on myspace I uploaded audios all the audios I had on my website and also I made videos as well like with a webcam and I uploaded relaxation sessions sleep sessions and chronic pain relief sessions and pretty much sleep sessions were always the most popular out of all you know statistically voted by the crowd you know I guess and I was a little bit disappointed because I kind of felt that I had something to offer with the chronic pain relief because when I

was seeing people in person face to face every single person unless of course they lied to me every every person I saw benefited from what we did together that's what they told me anyway so as it continued the sleep stuff relaxation to be fair to relaxation the sleep kind of mixed together because I came to realize that it's it's the same stuff really it's the same it's the same you know if I listen to a relaxation session I'm going to fall asleep I will it's just the way it is and

I used to just tell people look if you don't want to fall asleep just set your alarm otherwise you're probably going to fall asleep and then you know have the introduction only only listen when you can safely close your eyes because that covers pretty much every scenario and because you wouldn't do anything dangerous with your eyes closed would you generally you know not if you're I don't know generally you know you shouldn't I'm guessing anyway I so I'm still doing recordings videos on YouTube because that obviously YouTube came along so

I was I jumped onto that one Facebook as well built an audience with Facebook and MySpace I had about 50,000 followers on Face on MySpace maybe more in fact might be nearly 100,000 but then they kind of just went to pot Facebook took over maximum amount of people you could have on Facebook was 5,000 so I had 5,000 friends on Facebook within a short period of time and it's dwindled down to about three and a half thousand now I think and I don't know most of those people now know some

of them like from the listening stuff and I've had a few Facebook groups and I've got this Jason Newland's boring group which is pretty much the main group now that I deal with and it's only 160 members but everyone that's on the group of people that actually do listen to my recordings with Facebook the page my normal page this could be anything could be anyone on there I just I've stopped adding people that try to add me friend requests because a lot of them are just scammers spammers scammers and you

know they add me and they say oh so who are you what do you do if you don't know what I'm doing why why do you why did you add me if you don't know because no one's going to look at my profile I think oh yeah I gotta have him oh especially considering my pictures of me when I was what nine that's my profile picture um although there might be a picture of me on my Facebook page as an adult I don't know I do lose track of these things

and at the top of the page oh no there is a picture of me okay I'll take that back no wonder people are trying to contact me as I do the very sexy on my spectacles okay anyway um and I used to do these these vlogs just called Jason Chats where I used to make videos and just talk about what's going on in my life and someone said to me a few years ago probably about six years ago probably not long before I started doing these Let Me Bore You To

Sleep podcasts that he liked listen or she liked listening to or watching the podcast the Jason Chat vlogs because they'd get sleepy and fall asleep listening to me and I thought okay they said so you're so boring not in a bad way yeah generally it would be a all the seeds kind of came together like can be sprouted into a little cress a little bit of cress and I thought ah okay maybe I'll try and mix everything together and see what I come up with and so I thought Let Me

Bore You To Sleep that's the title I didn't do any research to see what else was out there and there was other stuff out there and I was even accused of copying another person a few years back this website did a review of my one of my earlier recordings I said yeah he's just copied like I really haven't I really haven't copied anyone you know I was on YouTube when I when I first started putting videos hypnosis videos on YouTube I didn't know that anyone else was doing it I did

no research I didn't search for hypnosis videos I just decided to because I was already doing it on Myspace and there was practically no one else on Myspace doing it when I was doing it it was very much music based I'm not saying there was no one but I don't remember finding anyone so I assumed that YouTube would be the same because YouTube was the YouTube and Facebook together pretty much putting into the popularity of Myspace because of the videos for YouTube and everything else social networking for from you know

Facebook and then I started doing a podcast the Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcast and the sleep sessions were always before that were always the most popular stuff but I didn't really want to just it's only so many times I think to do a sleep hypnosis recording is it's kind of repetitive you know if there is any people that sell stuff sell CDs they'll make one sleep recording they'll make one pain relief recording they'll make one recording for OCD OCD whatever you know nail biting or they'll make one for

each thing I made hundreds hundreds and hundreds thousands of now but hundreds for like one subject like falling asleep or pain relief or relaxation and stuff so this all led me in a different way did that explain how I got here Barry I'm Ben sorry but Barry's now left a message as well so I'm way behind three comments seen by 16 people but three people have commented so I think that covers the first part of that question if I won the lotto would it I still record well yes and pretty

much decided I would continue this I'm going to continue this forever well you know not forever ever but my forever whatever that is whether it's years or months I don't know but I want to continue doing this and I don't know it just it feels like it's what I should be doing there's other things I should be doing as well I guess but this this feels for some reason this feels more important than any of the other stuff that I've done this podcast to Let Me Bore You To Sleep one

it feels more I don't know I feel like I've found my voice in a way over the last few years I can be free I can the fact is I'm not sitting here saying lots of horrible stuff because I don't want to I don't that's not really I'm just being me if that makes sense if and that was quite nice to know to find to realize that I'm not a horrible person you know technically I can I'm not perfect of course I have my moments I really do but I'm a

little meltdowns but um winning the lotto I don't know it depends how much I won I guess would I still record yes I would if anything the recording would be better because if I had if I won a lot of money like a lot lot lot lot of money I would employ someone to help me with this stuff so I'd let someone else do the editing and the processing I'd let someone else do all that stuff I would just make the recording and then they could do the artwork and for

the podcast images and they could promote it and also if I did have you know a big amount of money I could really promote myself online in a bigger way and reach a larger audience and maybe help more people maybe so that's kind of what I would um yeah I would still record 100% so Ben I hope that answered your question uh it took me three days to answer it but so the next question I'll tell you what Barry's asked as well because I will get to that just to have

to just have to let you know you're amazing oh thanks Barry feel like I know should I do it in his voice now no I better not actually I'm just thinking his name's good I won't say his surname but it's Barry and it's this it's the name of a very you'll see if you go once if you go into Jason Newland's boring group you'll see his name because it's there but it's a private group so I'm not going to say anyone's surname out loud like on here but it's a very

famous singer like the most famous singer with the first in fact no there's more than one famous singer with the first name Barry just three came up straight away but it's it's a very famous singer and I don't want to talk like him because it would probably come across as inappropriate if I try to talk like the singer I'm thinking of and I'll do it in a different voice okay just to have to let you know you're amazing feel like I know you like a best friend listening I'm trying to

do Barry Manilow here by the way feel like I know Mandy oh yeah just to have let you know you're amazing feel like I know you like a best friend listening every night old ones new ones I don't mind you help me forget at bedtime just wish you could make a penny out of your work see did that could you read that probably just have to let you know you're amazing thank you feel like I know you like a best friend listen every night old ones new ones I don't think

you help I don't mind you I don't mind you help me forget at bedtime just wish you could make a penny out of your work thanks Barry um a penny is about about what I make but yeah it's it's fine it's uh I'm really happy you know getting messages like that it doesn't mean everything to me to be honest um Jove has written if you how would you spend a perfect day if money and time were no object so I'm going to do this one next because you were next on

the list Jove and you've been waiting for 25 minutes according to this Ben sent his message 44 minutes ago Barry was 14 minutes ago so I'll do Jove how would you spend a perfect day if money and time were no object um I mean I guess I'd have to build the harem first wouldn't I I just spent time in my harem with um I don't know um I'd like to I mean it kind of would go back to the lotto win I guess if I won the lotto the lottery I

would I'd live somewhere nice I'd still do this even if I didn't have an assistant to help me I'd still do this because it it's fun and I like feeling that I'm contributing towards helping other people in some way my own little way and so I'd still do this but it would be I'd be living somewhere nice and by that I'm not sure where I mean I quite like to travel quite like to go to different countries maybe I'm not sure but definitely like to have a better lifestyle somewhere living

somewhere bigger and with a garden for Vinnie to run around in and maybe for me to run around in and you know I'd kind of quite like to get another ferret maybe a few it's a garden big enough to have a an enclosure where lots of them can play in you know have fun and hopefully Vinnie would behave himself I have to make sure he was well fed so he never got hungry and I think he'd love it I think he'd absolutely love it all these little ferrets jumping all over

him I think he'd have the time of his life and I don't know everything else is it'd just be nice I guess to be able to dress nice and to have a a different kind of lifestyle to the one I've had during my well the last well however many years pretty much since I left school before before I left school everything was you know I had everything I needed as far as like clothes and food and all that stuff you know so I wasn't I wasn't wanting for anything and I

had my own room and stuff my own womb room we all had our own womb unless apart from twins they don't have their own womb do they but I after the age of 15 things went downhill a little bit and I was pretty much homeless from the age you know sort of 16 17 18 on and off homeless living in different places I never quite really got my life together properly you know so now I'm not feeling sorry for myself maybe I am maybe a bit stability maybe a bit stability

I guess that'd be nice in my older years I mean I'm not quite um pensioner age yet I'm 53 so I won't be able to officially retire till I'm probably 67 so I've still got another 14 years or that's a I had to add that up on my fingers what would I do if money was no object and time if time is no object I would probably read I would if time is no object literally I'd be a vampire and I thought it'd be cool to be a vampire because then

you live forever providing you you know avoid certain sharp objects and the sun I do quite a good job with that anyway you could literally read every book that you want to I mean obviously I wouldn't want to read every single book but read every book that I wanted to read study every subject go to university forever I mean that's something I'd quite like to do is to go to university but to actually go to a physical university again like I did before but I can't do that because I can't

get a student loan for that you can't you can only yeah I'd like to study something like psychology I might do an open university course I'm still waiting till next month to find out about that so time-wise I would live for thousands of years and I would just continue to do this and I think one of the problems not problems but because you know I managed to talk about nothing for ages but I enjoy it a little bit more when I've got something to talk about now I realize I'm just

as boring when I'm talking about things I'm interested in as I am when I'm talking about things I'm not interested in and so you know I think probably thinking about the perfect day I'm now I've got it I've got it would be to go to a boxing like a huge world championship boxing maybe in Vegas or at the moment it's quite often in Dubai and just like spend the weekend there and have a ringside ticket ringside seat so I wouldn't want to be at the back my eyesight's not great so

there'd be no point being too far away otherwise might as well just watch it on telly but just say that would be like a dream that'd be a dream and other things maybe go and live somewhere nice I know I said that before maybe even a different country go and move to go and live in Thailand or although that's potentially a bit too hot for me but go and live or a nice part of the country no there's nothing wrong with where I live it's technically a nice area it's just

where I live it's not such a nice area if that makes any sense but it's you know it's in the countryside so it's not too bad but thinking about it my perfect day here's my perfect day I've kind of had a perfect day is when I was in Thailand and I was giving food away that was just an experience that I loved it was probably the I'd say one of the happiest moments of my life it wasn't because I was in Thailand or anything it was just it felt so good

to be doing that I'm not talking about it because why am I great let's face it we all know I'm great there's no point yeah no it's not it's not that it's just it was a powerful experience and I've got a lot of admiration for people that go into other countries as an aid like an aid convoy you know when they go in to help them help people in really you know awful situations and they put their lives on the line and in order to get medical care and food and

stuff that's that's something that I kind of wish I'd got into when I was younger it would scare the hell out of me now I'm not I'm just I'm not fit enough really to be doing stuff like that and plus Vinnie wouldn't like it he'd eat all the food as well um yeah that's that's a good question Joe for really how would you spend a day money yeah I think I've kind of I don't have I've not really got in my mind like the perfect day that was one that was

a perfect moment well as far as perfect goes it was a wonderful moment didn't last for long because the food went very very quickly but it felt amazing to do it um but perhaps that would get boring after a while doing that every day it'd be just like a job I guess a very expensive job but yeah I suppose a perfect day would be doing this and then maybe going living somewhere nice so I could do this in the morning or maybe do the editing in the morning like I do

these days now anyway when I get up do the editing processing and go out maybe for the day or or staying in the morning maybe do a recording I don't know do whatever if it's a hot country maybe go out in the afternoon or in the evening and then you know have a routine have a fitness routine eat healthily maybe you know meet meet someone have a relationship with possibly you know I guess it's is possible I'm not sure but yeah so there you go that's that's uh that's as far

as I can get with that one um I hope that's answered the question Barry Barry uh right Barry doesn't ask me a question just just let you know I don't listen well thank you Barry for your for your comment but there's no wow so I've answered all the questions there's only two questions two three messages but two questions so I think I would say I have accomplished I've accomplished what I set out to do yes and yeah yeah that's all right I've kind of done it kind of maybe I will

do a weekly one of these oh I did a let me bore your pain away earlier and that was just a lot of waffle I don't know if it was any of any use I mean I've got this little theory a little theory um in my brain that my intention when I do these recordings is for the people listening to relax to to get what they need from it whether it's to feel more relaxed whether it's to fall asleep whether it's to reduce stress or anxiety issues that they're you know

during the day when they're not listening um to just like whatever's going on I like the idea and I might just be delusional but I like the idea that maybe listening to me regularly even in these recordings where I'm not really being I'm just chatting about nothing a lot of the time but perhaps getting into that zone into that mindset that energy can make changes causes changes to occur in your mind and in your life and to maybe some of that some of those old programs that were holding you back

maybe are broken along the way so that you feel freer to to live a happier life maybe you know that's kind of and that including pain relief and feeling more relaxed and uh feeling well you know increased self-esteem and realizing you hear it enough maybe realizing that you do deserve to be happy and after hearing that regularly for maybe a few years it starts to sink in maybe it doesn't take a few years maybe it takes just a few weeks maybe less time than that but hearing that when you're perhaps

asleep or half asleep it more likely to sink in I guess and that was the intention behind these podcasts the Let Me Bore You To Sleep I thought if I could try to incorporate lots of different things into one place and I realized I probably ended up just literally talking rubbish for an hour every time I do a recording however the intention I'm kind of I suppose I'm like uh I'm like someone that gives you a cake I'm so pleased with a cake and you look at it and you're like

okay thanks thanks for the cake JJ and I say you're gonna eat it I said no I'll eat it later I'm all full up now my tum-tum's full but I'll eat it later and then I go away and you look at the person you're with it's like what on earth is it it looks like a poo and it's kind of and then the other person says I think it might actually be a poo and you know it's kind of like well what I think it is might not be what other

people think it is but then we can all you know we all see the world differently and we can experience different things in different ways and benefit and I noticed that in my life over the years sometimes just one one little bit of information one sentence can have quite a profound change to me and I remember once one sentence I really liked someone sent this to me they put it on a postcard I think or a letter and they said you can choose to be you can choose to be right

or you can choose to be happy it's like I choose to be right obviously I just thought yeah you're right you don't what's really worth arguing about and I realize I've met a lot of angry people that are right but they're not happy so yeah that's just little things like that another another one of someone said I can't remember it was like a famous philosopher said this if you right from this second right from this second onwards you were told that when it came to the you know came to your

final day you would come back be reborn but you'd be living your life again but from this second so not reliving the past you just be reliving your life from this second onwards so anything you do from now until the end of your time is will be repeated over and over again continuously on loop so if there's like 40 50 years left you'll be repeating those 50 years and if that was the case how would you choose to spend the rest of your life and that when I think to myself

when the person told me I said look I just ordered a big mac can you just give me my food why are you telling why are you talking about this and he said well I'm studying at college I said I don't care can just my fries are cold now he said it didn't take me that long to tell you I said it doesn't matter just none of that happened but yeah it's I think it's quite interesting like how would you if you knew right you know from this moment onwards that's

how you're going to live the rest of your life over and over again not just this moment but you know years and years of it like how would you change what would you do how would how would you live your life so that's something that I found very interesting just little things like that that have had an impact on my thinking lots of things have but I can't remember all of them because otherwise I'd have a brain and that's it that is it there's no other questions if there's more questions

this recording would have been a lot longer a lot lot longer but the comments been seen apparently by 25 people but 22 of those didn't want to ask a question oh maybe tomorrow maybe tomorrow I will maybe I'll do the same thing I'll do the same thing tomorrow so I'll post the same question and if there's any if anyone's got any questions then ask me and I will answer them tomorrow which is so this will be released although it's today it's Wednesday I'll be I don't know necessarily probably be uploading

it tomorrow morning because it takes a few hours to do that it's now seven o'clock in the evening and so tomorrow I'll do it and it'll be released on Friday morning I guess it all depends all depends and what's been really good is Vinnie hasn't barked once not once I'm very pleased very pleased with that I like it when he doesn't bark he's been so busy chewing on his bone it's the happiest little monkey in the whole wide world right now although I'm beginning to wonder it looks like he's eating

one of his feet no it's not um so I'm gonna go so thank you everyone thanks for everyone for listening and especially thanks to the three people that have left me those messages so Ben Barry and Jove thank you it's very kind of you and oh big old bit of gas just then and I want to go so thank you remember to be kind to yourself because you do deserve to be happy just remember that also remember to be gentle gentle with yourself lots of love a bit more little gas said I think I need to eat my stomach's rumbling I need to eat that's what it is bye
