Hello and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep. My name is Jason Newland. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes.

And let's get my pen and paper out. See if I can think of anything to talk about. There must be something.

Hmm, let me think. Oh yes, podcasts with music. Hmm, that's a subject.

So those of some of you, some of you may have noticed that my podcasts with background music and including the 10 hour long recordings have started to disappear. And that's because they have been deleted. Now, the reason for this is due to basically, let me see if I can read it, read it to you.

My podcast host has sent me a message saying help and support. Let's see if I can read it out. Nope.

It's gotta be somewhere. Go back to this. Okay.

Hmm. That's weird. Nope.

It was there earlier. But anyway, there was a message there, which basically said that podcasts pretty much can't be without. Okay, here we go.

Messages, messages, messages. Important reminder about content. My phone's just lit up.

Someone tried to phone me. Someone tried to phone me. Right.

Hmm. I completely forgot what I was talking about, because I had a phone call. A phone call.

So what else was I talking about? I was Oh, yeah. So basically, Oh, did I get the thing up on the screen? Important reminder about content. This was from three days ago.

Do you wonder if it is if if? Do you wonder if is music able to be played on Spreaker? Spreaker is a podcasting company, which is supposed to be talk centred. Please note that after further review, if we'd be notified or detected that the content contains mostly music, it will be removed. And as stated with the terms and conditions, podcasts are meant to be in spoken format.

So basically, I've just skipped through a little bit there. But the fact is, however, I present it, those 10 hour recordings are is 10 hours of music, 10 hours recordings of music with me, maybe talking softly and given counting down from 100 down to one and stuff like that. But it is still 10 hours of music.

And the copyright situation isn't really an issue as such as it's copyright free. But I'm thinking that one of the problems that has been is the amount of space that I've kind of taken up on their servers. You know, the absolute huge amounts of space, you know, four recordings for each each four different recordings for each episode.

1015 1617 plus hours for each Let Me Bore You To Sleep. And then sharing out amongst the different podcasts. So I can see why they perhaps would have kind of come down a little bit on that.

So what I've done is I have been downloading. I started downloading all of the recordings. But then I decided I'm only going to download the 10 hour ones.

And not worry about the other stuff, the ones with background music or with five hours. So I'm downloading the 10 hour ones and then deleting all the ones with music for that number. And I've done this.

I've been doing this with every podcast. Still got three to go. I spent three days doing this lot of threes in this isn't a lot of threes.

And the stats have just gone down. Ridiculous. I mean, was it 1234567.

Seven days ago, I had nearly 14,000 downloads. Six days ago, just under 10,000. Five days ago, eight and a half thousand.

So it's quite quite a quiet day. 1234 days ago, just under five under 10,000. Just under 11,000.

Three days ago, Tuesday, two days ago, 9780 downloads. Yesterday, I saw a drop 5246. Today, are you ready for this? Are you ready for this? It's two minutes to 8pm.

So you know, most of the day's gone now. 910 1112 one. So there's five hours left of the working day as far as the podcast goes.

I've got 2086 downloads. Blimey. And it's gonna be it's almost like I've taken a step back five years, five years of work gone.

And 1000s of recordings deleted. So from the podcasts, so I was trying to think, well, what can I do? What can I do? You know, I can save the stuff on my external hard drives, download them and then delete them, rather than just delete everything and lose it. And then on YouTube, I've had a couple of people contact me and saying, can you upload the specific recording because I've been listening to it for weeks.

And it's it's the only thing that really helps me to get to sleep. It's a 10 hour, 10 hour, relaxing sleep. And that's just daily number 201 or something like that.

Oh, so what I did is I opened a SoundCloud SoundCloud account, which is who I used to use for years and years and years and years. I'm talking years and years and years. So I opened that yesterday, I think it was.

And so far, I've uploaded 185 tracks, 185 recordings, they're all 10 hours long. So I'm only uploading 10 hour long recordings, which is just another way of saying exactly the same thing as what you said. And the first ones I did was, basically, I've got playlists on here.

So there's the chronic pain hypnosis 10 hours, so they're all done. Not that many of those. Let Me Bore You To Sleep.

10 hours, it's only 20 tracks uploaded so far, because I've still got a lot more to sort out. Let me bore your pain away. 10 hours long, six tracks.

Stress and pain relief. 10 hours long, 44 tracks. ASMR whisper, Let Me Bore You To Sleep.

10 hours long, 10 tracks. So these are all different playlists. Jason's bedtime storytime, 10 hours, 27 tracks.

Stop smoking hypnosis, 10 hours, 13 recordings. Sleep boring objects, 10 hours long, 36 recordings. So the last one, so there's two that I've got, I'm in the process of continuing to add.

So relax and sleep hypnosis daily. 10 hours long. I've only got five uploaded so far.

Although I do think I have some more that I've not added to the playlist yet. The Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Where is it? It's hiding.

Hiding. The Let Me Bore You To Sleep. There's 20 tracks.

So, you know, there's 1000 plus. So there's a lot, a lot to do for that one. So, so far 185 recordings uploaded where you can stream them.

The thing is, I mean, if you go to SoundCloud, if you just put in my name, yeah, I do, I just basically come up. So I'm just looking if I put in, if I open up with a private window, SoundCloud, see what comes up. So if I accept Jason Newland.

Okay. So if you just search my name, I come up straight away. Although there's two, there's another, there's another me.

167 185 tracks. Oh, there's nothing on there. All right.

Okay. So my, my one is the one with zero followers, which is okay. So it's not, it's a new one, not that bothered.

And so straight away, this is on a, a, you just see me come up. Oh, look, there's one with Andre, picture of Andre on. It's an old, an old one that I used to have.

Jason Newland's hip healing hypnosis. Oh, there's a picture of Andre. So one follower, no tracks at all.

So that's I don't know what account that's under. So that's not valid. So what I'll do is I'll put a picture of me as a little boy, like I did before, like I have done with the YouTube and Facebook.

And then you'll notice me, me when I was nine. So yeah, so there's a few recordings you can listen to, but a very small amount compared to how many I actually have, or will have available. Once I have completed the process of deleting every recording with music from my general podcasts, it's a, it's a little bit, it's a little bit funny.

This feeling inside. I don't know what to do, really. The whole thing is a bit strange.

It seems a bit of a shame. There's a lot of work put in, you know, and I mean, it's still loads and loads and loads of recordings available still, even without music. So you know, there's the chronic pain relief recordings, there are 111 recordings that don't have.

Okay, so that's including the stress and relaxation. So let's have a look. There will be relax and sleep hypnosis daily 207 recordings there will be without music.

There's 28 episodes of bedtime storytime, relax and stress, the stress and panic attacks 226 recordings there. Sleepy boring objects 35 23 episodes of stop smoking and stress and pain relief 56. Let Me Bore You To Sleep.

I don't even know how many there was 1049 not including this one. And deep sleep whisper. 513.

So there's a few, there's a few recordings available. And yeah, we just have to see. It's a bit weird, though, it's like, oh, because it kind of got used to getting around 10,000 without just averaging, you know, averaging that, without much effort, not not effort, but without we're just this it happening.

And it's been fairly steady for quite a while, a few years. And I don't know, I was hoping that people would still enjoy listening without music, but maybe that's not the case. Another thing that I was trying to do, maybe I will continue down that road is I was in the process of building or rebuilding my website, so that you could you could have an option of either streaming the recording or downloading the recording.

So what I might do is I was just going to do the ones without music to start with anyway. Maybe I'll add select the recording with music, not the recording without music, and then the 10 hour version. And have them all the past recordings all available to download.

And also to stream because they will be on SoundCloud. So I'll embed the the stream into the website. I'm not sure.

Not sure. This is a huge task. I kind of, it's part of me that can't be bothered to just go through the whole whole thing, you know, another way around it would be to make longer videos, not longer videos, longer recordings, recordings, which would take it take longer to do to produce.

So if I was going to produce a 10 hour recording, it might take me three days or four or five days to produce where I could be talking and then maybe I could even just do a, you know, a hypnosis session and then something else after that and then talk and, you know, make it last 10 hours. That is a possibility, but then I'm only going to be realistically going to be making perhaps one recording a week.

So I'm not sure.

I'm not sure. Another thing I'm playing with is possibly doing a extended Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Daily, to do a daily recording extended.

So maybe two, maybe three hours long. Possibly even live. I don't know.

Call it, Let Me Bore You To Sleep radio show. I don't know. I'm not sure if I'm able to commit to that.

Because I'm not always, I'm not always in the zone as it were, you know, I'm not, I'm not sure if I'm always going to be available to be able to commit to, you know, three hours. Three hours is quite a long time, especially without any breaks and without any, yeah, I don't, I've done an hour and a half. I've done two hour recordings in the past, not many, but I have done them.

So it is possible, maybe I could just start with doing two hour ones and then see how it goes from there. Hmm. But live, that would be, yeah, not sure about that.

I might have to just kind of stick to doing a podcast and, you know, release it at the same time every day, maybe 9pm UK time. So it's always, you know, at least it's consistent, you know, from that perspective. And it will just be without music.

Just maybe, maybe if I do enough different recordings of like counting down and body scans and things like that, I could mix and match, mix them together to make, you know, 10, 15, 20 different versions of continuation for 10 hours. That made sense to me. I don't know if it made sense to you.

So what I mean is, so let's say there's an hour, Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Or relax and sleep hypnosis daily or deep sleep whisper hypnosis. Because I'm thinking now, if there's not going to be any music, perhaps I need to stop doing 20 minute ones and focus on maybe doing some longer, more in depth, deeper recordings.

So I think I might be doing that going forward. Because I did a recording, I actually did it two days ago, I think, and released it today. And it was number 207.

Relax and sleep hypnosis daily, called dentist phobia. Now, although it's the title is not the most attractive title. Yeah, you know, I mean, it's like, you know, I want to go see a movie, what's it called? Pulling teeth.

Like, man, pass on me give that a miss. Once you go to the different cinema, what's on there? Oh, digging the garden. That movie is called digging the garden.

No, no, no. You know, it's just not gonna perhaps the title doesn't sell it. However, bearing in mind, this is before I discovered that I'd almost lost lost my life's work, almost kind of, in a way, overdramatic, maybe.

But you know, it's actually quite an okay recording. There are the occasional humorous moment incorporated within the within the gloriousness of it. It might be useful.

It might be but at the same time, some people who if people like to listen to somebody who gets on with it, you know, just gets to the point. And, you know, just like, do this, tell you know, tells you what to do and do this, do this, do this, do this, blah, blah, blah. I'm probably not perhaps gonna be the correct little monkey to listen to.

But, you know, everyone's got their own method, their own style. Not that I would call what I do stylish, but, you know, we've all got our own personalities that we bring along to the table. And everyone's different.

I just happen to be probably a bit more weirder than the average. Hypnosis practitioner. I don't even know if it's cute if I could even call it hypnosis anymore.

I know what I'm doing. Well, I know what my aim is. I know what I'm focusing on.

I know what my outcome, the outcome I'm sort of moving towards for the listener. Whether or not that translates from my words, my voice to the person listening to the recording in their home or wherever they may be. It's kind of impossible for me to know.

Although over the years, I have had quite a bit of positive feedback regarding the content. Of my podcast recordings. Plus, even further back in time.

Before I really focused on podcasts. When I was, I guess, more interested in making YouTube videos. That I was able to just be in front of the camera.

And act naturally. Just be myself. And some people seemed to like what I was doing.

And the results were that I'd get some pretty nice comments. Some really positive feedback. And I found a lot of encouragement.

And it motivated me to continue along the road of producing more recordings. With hopefully better content. And more useful to the listener or the watcher of the video.

And even though I've been making podcasts since 2007. Maybe 2006, I can't remember. It's only really the last five years that I've been focusing solely on producing new and hopefully beneficial audio recordings.

Which I really do hope can be a positive experience for most of the listeners. Because, you know, that's pretty much the reason why I started doing this in the first place. Just to help others.

Just to contribute in my own small way to society. The world society. And I realize that that may have sounded quite dramatic and potentially extremely pompous.

I didn't realize until I said the words. And heard myself say the words. And I wondered to myself, what on earth do I sound like? What on earth do I sound like right now? Now some people may think that I babble on a bit too much.

Others may believe that I babble on slightly more than is needed. And others might indeed be of the opinion that my babbling is measured splendidly to perfection. And others still may actually feel left short, empty-handed indeed.

Because I haven't babbled on nearly enough. Now, I realize that this is just only ever going to be a personal opinion. Opinion.

And it's okay. Because we all have our own point of view. Although you may find that your mind may seem to open up a bit more you may notice that Linnaeus decided to make as much noise as he possibly can.

If there's one part of the carpet that's covered with, you know, got any kind of plastic or anything that might make a squeaky sound, a carrier bag, anything like that, he'll make sure that he stands on it. When I'm making a recording. He likes to also get underneath the desk and bang against the legs of the desk.

I would say that's one of his favorite things but last time I said that at the end of the recording he pulled me up and he said, listen, that's not even in the top 10. I said, what? He said banging the legs of your desk is not, it's not even, in fact it's not even in the top 15 of what I love to do. So can you please stop telling your listeners lies about me?

And one other thing.

Yeah, what's the other thing? Can you please stop telling stories about me? Stop telling your listeners about conversations that we have. I said, why? Two reasons, he said to me. He said, first of all, it's private.

You're my daddy. I'm your son. It's a private conversation and you shouldn't be telling other people what we have discussed.

I said, okay, what's number two? He said, I'm a dog. I can't talk. I said, okay, fair enough.

Actually what I said was, what was that? What, what, Lassie? What? He just kept barking. I didn't know what he was trying to tell me. There's what? A tree's fallen down in a well? Huh? No, I didn't know.

Just got a guess. I suppose he, he was congratulating me on how quickly my hair grows back after being shaved. It's nice that he's noticed.

That might not have been the reason. That might not have been what he was attempting to communicate with me. Then it's kind of difficult, because not only are we such different people, we're different species.

Like many of my relationships, it's, it's kind of, it can be confusing. Sometimes, yeah, confusing. And I don't know quite how to maneuver myself around it, because I, I get the sense that Vinnie is trying to tell me something that may be in some way useful.

But I also, on the other hand, get a feeling that it's probably just nonsense. So, and I know he feels the same way about what I've got to say. So it's a mutual celebration of each other's characters.

So, what was I talking about? Hot air balloons? No, tractors with windows. Mind you, you do get tractors with windows, but some tractors don't have windows. But you'd want windows and a roof, wouldn't you, if it was raining? But then can you use a tractor if it's raining? There's so many questions in life, isn't there? Just over something as simple as farming.

But then it's not really simple, is it? One of the most important jobs in the world is farming. Because without the farms, we wouldn't have farm stuff. Yeah.

Has anyone ever had a Anuka honey? I know a woman years ago called Anuka. She started smiling at me in the call center, and I started smiling back, because I'm a friendly person, you know. And I do the same, whatever it is.

Smiling, someone laughs, I laugh back at them. Someone, you know, is crying, I cry, you know. I just join in.

I remember I was hopping with someone once, and they thought I was making fun of them, because they had a broken leg. Like, sorry, I didn't realize. I just like to try and build rapport with people.

Never try and build rapport with someone who's got a stutter, because they think you're making fun of them. They might do. Rapport, what a weird name.

Rapport, I want to build rapport with someone. I remember learning NLP in the late 90s, learning to mirror people and use the same words that they use. Same, maybe, tonality of voice.

Perhaps, mirroring movements. So they may be moving their right arm. So maybe instead of using the right arm, which could be quite obvious, because they might actually think they are looking into a mirror.

But just with a different reflection. That wouldn't be like looking into a mirror, though, would it? But one of the cross-mirroring is, you know, someone moves their right arm. What the fuck? What am I talking about? I hope I haven't ruined this by laughing.

I just, I couldn't keep it up anymore. Oh, that sounds, oh. See here, it's blah, blah, blah.

Thank you for listening. I will return another time. Bye.
