Hello and welcome to…Let Me Bore You To Sleep. My name is Jason Newland and please only listen, only listen when you can safely close your eyes. Also, I'm going to be talking about my website, but my website is jasonnewland.com. So I hope you're well.

Hope you're okay. Thank you for those, anyone that's subscribed to my YouTube channel and also thank you to uh say hello to a new member of my Jason Newland's Boring Group. Who's the new member? Who's the new member? Um bum bum bum bum.

I don't know someone. Anika, Anika, hello and welcome to the Jason Newland's Boring Group. Hopefully Vinnie is going to be occupied by something that I've given him to eat.

But the way he's getting through it, I don't think it's going to last very long. I'm pretty sure he'd be happy if I just chucked him a cow every day. He's, he's very much not a vegetarian, if you can see.

Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean. He's not really into the old vegetarianisms. Yeah, well I've got a message.

What message do I have? Christine said, loved yesterday's podcast. So this is from a couple of days ago. The one about thunderstorms and your Nan.

Great to hear that Vinnie is giving you happiness and peace of mind. Thank you, Christine. I don't remember mentioning my Nan.

Did I mention my Nan? I must have done. I remember vaguely talking about at some point talking about thunderstorms in one of my podcasts recently. I just don't remember.

I don't take much notice of what I've said. Although I did have some criticism from someone on YouTube. Let me have a look.

Comments. Oh, blimey. I've had a few comments, to be honest.

Let's just have a look at the comments. All the latest comments. Let's have a look.

Lisa Cole breath 5368 on YouTube says, and this is in reply. This is a comment posted on Relax, Drift and Sleep. Deep Sleep Whisper Hypnosis.

You talk too much about nothing. Please focus or PLZ just focus on video. Did you mean the video or? OK.

I replied, thank you for your feedback. Now, in all fairness. It's not the first time anyone has ever said that to me.

And on YouTube over the years, I know I have not been particularly active on YouTube for quite a long time until recently. I used to get quite a few people say. Will you just get to the point? Just do the hypnosis.

Get it done so we can all move on with our lives. Well, when you consider that. Every one of my recordings is aimed to help relax the person listening or watching, whether it's video or podcast, whether it's a chronic pain release session, whether it's insomnia session, whatever, it's still ultimately.

Aiming my at the very, the very least. For you to feel more relaxed at the end of it. And part of the process of relaxing is letting go of that impatience, letting go of that judgment.

And hopefully over time it drops away. Because if someone's sitting there or lying down, listening to me, thinking. A lot of people also used to say, I talk too slowly.

You talk too slowly. Can't you speed up how you talk? And, you know, this is how I talk. I mean, you know, I mean, sometimes I will talk faster when I'm perhaps interested in a particular subject being discussed.

But generally, you know, I'm not a fast talker. You know, not really. I mean, I do have to speed up a bit if I'm in a group because, or even in a conversation, some people are not willing to sit and listen to me finish a sentence before talking over me.

And, you know, I mean, there's been some times I remember I've tried to say the same thing about 10 times and they just haven't been able to sit and listen to it. And eventually I got through what I was trying to say. I mean, it was a, you know, 55 minute monologue.

So I guess it's not their fault for not wanting to sit through it. But, you know, I had it all written down and planned. But that's besides the point.

That's one of the things with YouTube is opening myself up to criticism. But I also like to think of it as, you know, it's a review, it's feedback as well. And I'm not gonna ever reply, if I can help it in a rude way.

You know, unless someone's like, out and out just being horrible, then, you know, I don't know what my reaction will be. But generally, I don't get much of that. I have in the past, but not, not lately.

Lately, I've been staring in the mirror. So someone pointed out someone, Leanne, Leanne XIE 5582, an hour ago said, this is for the you can't force sleep, deep sleep, whisper hypnosis, ASMR. This is a YouTube.

It's a it's a podcast episode, but made into a video and posted on YouTube. I really like this concept. To remind us that sleep can't be forced.

Very relaxing and relatable. Thanks. Thank you, Leanne, Leanne XIE.

Leanne, it might be Leanne, Leanne XIE, I'm not sure. But thank you. And, and again, another message from the same person, actually.

I'd love if the music was 50% quieter. And you rub, rub the soft toy near the mic. It would feel like a temples massage.

Okay. I could. Yeah, I'm already full about that.

It's the music does get quieter. Maybe I do need to have the music quieter. But I think with a deep sleep whisper ones, maybe I need to have music quieter.

I'm not sure. I'll have a look at that. Thank you for that.

KCKB is helpful. So thank you for that. That's the free anxiety video.

You talk too much about nothing. Please just focus on video. So that was for that one.

As it's seven, JJ says, you are the reason I know what ASMR is. I used to watch your hypnosis videos from like back in 2011. And you were the first person I saw using ASMR in your titles.

You are an OG ASMRist. Thank you very much. That's cool.

And the old videos of you laying down during the session is such a vivid memory for me. Yeah, I think I've still got that one. But it's see, no one believe you don't believe I used to be on YouTube.

Do you? I did. I honestly did used to be on YouTube. Proper properly be on YouTube, like back in the 2007 to about 2014.

I was on or 13. I was on YouTube, like, all the time. But, you know, I deleted the channel and then things went from there.

And then I didn't really bother so much. So just a focus more on the YouTube on the focus more on the podcasts. And then from 2018, I really, really focused on the podcasts.

So 18 2019 2020 2021 2022 and this year 2023. So it's getting on to six years, where I've been really given, you know, the postcard, the podcast might all in a sense, although recently, although I had the YouTube channel for about four years, this one, it's only recently really that I've been making videos. So I only know over the last year or so, maybe less.

And I'm kind of just repeating myself. But it's okay. And I'm trying to start it was this held for review.

Filter. Respond status. I haven't responded.

Apply. Oh. Oh, here's one.

Here's one. Dear Mr. Newland. Oh, this isn't.

We want you to wish you the happiest of birthdays. And thank you for all for your inquiry by call. Thank you very much for your invite to your birthday party.

But we simply cannot pick up on that offer, since we are understaffed and very likely will have come around to your address. Because of neighbors complaints about you celebrating in literally your birthday suit. As you have numerous times before.

This is from Sebastian, by the way. Unfortunately, we cannot gift you a lovely big old cream cake with a specific type of I'm not gonna read that bit out person jumping out of it nakedly. We will not repeat the horrible expletives used by you here.

Neither can we provide you with a free, free three star hotel suite to meet a four mission specific type of won't repeat that again person or any other person of copy that beaver. We can and will not waste public. Okay, anyway, I can't read a lot of stuff out.

Please remember soon you'll be eligible for our senior citizen bonuses. Also remember you are not Brittany or Marley, not any female superstar at all. Any public performances of you in that direction will be met with a direct transfer to the local hospital.

Okay, thank you. Cheers, Sebastian. Blimey.

Yeah, so that is on one of my that's published. That's one of my, my somewhere. He did send another one, but I seem to have lost it now seems to have disappeared.

He must have took it off. Oh, no, here it is. Here it is.

Dear Mr. Newland, we while we also suffer from the heat. Maybe a bit more noise. Yeah.

Thanks. Dear Mr. Newland, while we also suffer from the heat wave, we ask you politely to stop calling us to recite sexy summer poetry to us, which you'd likely came up with, as in, it is a hot day, give me some lotion, sensual emotion, a la la, boys in speedos, or whatever we heard in between all that moaning. We don't need to hear any of this or a medical assessment.

If the heat got to your mind to lock you up for a while, you know, I'm just gonna put that glad you enjoyed it. Me and him did a recording together. I can't remember when it was.

When was it? Sebastian, Sebastian, let me have a look. It's got to be on here somewhere. Sebastian.

Okay. According to this, I've done two. That doesn't make sense.

Really? No. So I got a 100 number 107. Let Me Bore You To Sleep.

Let Me Bore You To Sleep live. Six of March 2019 with guest Sebastian. But then I got number 823 from the 18th of April 2022.

Let Me Bore You To Sleep conversation with Sebastian. But they're both around the same kind of times unless I just I wouldn't have re uploaded it though, because that doesn't make sense. That's weird.

I can't play it. That's why I'm doing this. Very strange.

So maybe I did two recordings with Sebastian. He's now, Vinnie's now just, he's eaten his horrible thing that I gave him, stuffed it down. I don't think he even swallowed it.

No, chewed it. One of them. He's scratching.

Vinnie, you're going to be scratching because you keep running into the long grass. I tell him don't go into the long grass because that's where all the fleas and the lice and all the itchy things are. And when he's on the lead, he listens to me.

He's got no choice because I don't let him onto the long grass. When his friend is in the park, I let him off the lead and they run around. And I heard him with my own eyes shout out to his friend, quick, let's run in long grass.

My dad doesn't let me do this. So I'll annoy him. And they both ran into and the other dog like giggled and they both ran into the long grass and wrestled and kissed and played around.

They're proper, they're in love, them two, them two doggies absolutely love each other. And they don't bark, nothing. They just, they run around, complete silence, play, wrestle, dance.

It's lovely to watch. So, oh, okay. So basically, I have been working on my website.

Now, as you as you may be aware, over the years, there's been many various different incarnations of my website, more so than Doctor Who. And I've done it again, I've done it again. But this time, what I'm doing is basically I've, if you go, it's going to be cleaned up.

So this is not how it's going to be, it's going to be changed a bit. But this is the basic outline, the foundations of it. So if you go to jasonnewland.com, three hypnosis podcasts since 2006.

And then under collections, there's three banners, pictures, deep sleep, whisper hypnosis, let me breathe sleep, and relax. And sleep hypnosis daily. So it's only three at the moment.

They're the main three, really, as far as individual recordings go. So what I do is, what you do is click on one of them. And then, so ASMR, deep sleep, whisper hypnosis.

There's the player, the like the in podcast player at the top, which you can scroll down on and play if you want to. At 5038 hours and 51 minutes worth of recordings on there. 5038 hours.

That's ridiculous, isn't it? That's like really ridiculous. Five, I don't even know how many that how many how long that is, like in human years. 5038.

5038 divided by 24. 209 days. So 209, it take you 209 days, 24 hours a day, the next 209 days, and night to listen to all of those recordings.

Blimey. So what I'm doing is to start with, I'm just uploading the recordings without music separate. So there's, there's the player at the beginning, at the top.

Underneath, there's 12345. There's a list of recordings. I've uploaded up to up to number 30 so far.

And so for those of you that would like to listen to some of the earlier stuff, and it's hard to get hold of that on the podcasts, because it's just hard to find stuff. And some podcasts only hold the last 250 recordings. So which isn't much good for the Let Me Boyd You Sleep which got over 1000 and Deep Sleep Whisperers got over 500.

So if what I'm going to do is make available for every recording from one onwards, all the way up to the last recording of each group of each podcast, I'm going to do the third those three podcasts first, and then I'll work on to the others. So Deep Sleep Whisperer, Let Me Boyd You Sleep and Relax and Sleep Hypnosis Daily. But at the same time, I don't want to miss I don't want to get so focused on this as to not make any podcasts because that can happen.

I know that's that's how I work. So I need to be a little bit careful with that. Because I love nothing more than just getting stuck into something and just doing that, especially when it's creating something new.

And it's like a new website kind of. It's not really. It's I'm still I'm going back to using Shopify again.

So, so I'll do I'll click on number 30 just so I'll give you an idea. So at the moment, it's just got a picture of the podcast. When I when I did number 30 Deep Sleep Whisperer, there was no images, I wasn't doing images for each individual podcast.

Now I do as you know, so that will change as it gets higher up in the numbers. So number 30, it's got just a picture of the Deep Sleep Whisperer Hypnosis. Number 30 Deep Sleep Whisperer Hypnosis, zero GBP.

So it's it costs nothing. It's free. So you can download it for free.

Not only can you download it for free. You can also if you go down the page, you can stream it as well. So you can play it as well.

So if you want to, if you don't want to download it, or you can download it to your iPhone, your iPad, your phone, your laptop, computer, whatever. So and it's free, it doesn't cost anything. So that's cool.

And if you've already in the past been a member, because I've got a few hundred people that have actually joined before, you can just log in. And if you've if you go to log in, you might maybe change your password if you've forgotten your password or whatever. So all of the recordings will be available.

Eventually, it's just going to take some time. Because it's not just about, you know, I have to find each recording, it's quite hard for me to find them. I've got quite a few backup, you know, backed up, but not all of the recordings are backed up.

So I need to those aren't I need to download them from the podcast and make sure I've got them. But this having them on this website is another, which I forgot about is actually another good way of backing up my recordings, because it's just like a, it's a separate place where they're all stored. So at the moment, you know, I've got 30 of the Deep Sleep Whisperer, 30 of the Let Me Bore You To Sleep.

And yeah, again, number 30, Let Me Bore You To Sleep. There's no there's no name, I didn't have any names for the stuff back then it was just a number. And I've got 15 Relax and Sleep Hypnosis Daily.

So you know, I have to work on that. And increase that to 30. And then you know, go through that.

But they're not all. Yeah, haven't got all those ones done yet. But I've got all the 30 30 30 30.

Yeah. So it's a case of just catching up and there's a few bits I need to do which are not necessarily, you know, relative to it all interesting. So the Let Me Bore You To Sleep or 6853 hours.

Blimey. So what does that work out 66853 divided by 24 285 hours 285 days it would take to listen to every recording. But that does also include you know, the different versions of the five hour version, the 10 hour version.

So you know, it's otherwise it'd be just over 1000 hours, I guess. Really? So I didn't I didn't start doing the 10 hour versions last year, I think. So I'm going to be doing that I'm going to only do the ones without music to start with.

Once I've done that, then I will look at doing the ones with background music, then the five hours and 10 hours. So you'll be able to download everything eventually completely free. You'll also be able to if you want to save it for yourself a future as a nostalgic gift to yourself.

And also you'll be able to stream as well on the website if you wanted to. And you know, there might be something you might, I don't know, when I start listening to someone, especially, I just sometimes nice to look back and think, well, I started listening number 1022. I wonder what the earlier ones were like wonder what the number 714 was like.

I don't know, just maybe. So I wonder what kind of things he talked about during 2020 and 2021. And that period, what kinds of things was he discussing? I've got no idea.

I couldn't tell you. I don't remember. So yeah, so that's what I'm doing with the website.

I'm also going to have my videos on there as well. All my YouTube videos, all the ones available to the public. Plus, I'm going to have a section with all the old videos, the ones that are not available to anyone else to watch.

So they're unlisted on YouTube. And I'm going to have them available for you to stream. As you can watch them on my on my website.

And, and, you know, admittedly, the quality of videos are pretty much awful on a lot of them, the sound and the video quality. But, you know, you get to see me, if you watch them, you get to see me ageing over the years, because I've been doing this for about 94 years now. And, you know, I was 35 years old when I started doing this.

When I made my very first video, I was 35 years old. 53 now. 53.

I was 35 years old. I was a young boy. I was a young fresh boy.

Everything worked. Everything still worked, I think. Nothing works anymore.

So I should really tell you this, but and it's something that women may not know about, that only men know about. And before anyone says I'm being sexist, it's not, this is a genital, this is a physical thing. That's okay.

Let's forget engenders. I'm not I'm not getting into that. But sometimes, when going for a wee wee, I was going to say it comes out the wrong hole.

That's not correct. But it just shoots in a different direction, the wee wee. And that happened to me today, and it went all over my foot, all over my right foot.

Now, I didn't realise. And I was thinking, where's all that water coming from? And my foot started to feel warm and cosy. And no matter how I readjusted myself, it still kept shooting in the right direction.

Maybe the word shooting isn't a good idea, but moving, rummaging, not rummaging, that's a pretty bad word as well. Glide, gliding, I don't know. And it hasn't happened for some while.

Used to happen a lot when I was younger. But it's Yeah, it's very strange. So yeah, I mean, after that, I'm thinking I reckon was it a Thursday today? Yeah, I might have to change my socks by Monday.

Because, yeah, they might start to smell. At the moment, I can't. This is grim.

I genuinely haven't changed my this is wrong, isn't it? I don't know why I'm telling you this. Now, of course, I changed my socks. Of course, every two minutes, I change my socks.

Let's talk about something else quickly, quickly, quickly, quickly moving on, moving on, moving on. Breastfeeding zebras. No, no.

What else can we talk about? Did you know Vinnie was a only child? Did I tell you that? He was an only child. And he was breech or if he was born upside down. Is is basically is back to front his head is where his bum should be something like that.

I don't know. And there was, you know, that the bag was it like the afterbirth of the bag that the baby is in that I think, you know, placenta is a placenta, isn't it? Yeah. That's a nicer word, isn't it? Placenta.

There was another placenta, but it was empty. So the theory is he might have eaten the might have eaten his brother or sister. I don't know which I mean, he's quite greedy sometimes.

He knows I'm talking about him. He's just sitting there staring at me. So he was born an only child and it was a it was a difficult birth.

And he's fine now. But he didn't have any brothers or sisters to play with. So he didn't learn any socializing skills with other animals.

Right from the start, apart from his mum, I guess who was there, his dad was just a surrogate. So he never got to meet his dad. But he got to meet his mum got to respite got to know quite intimately, I guess, I suppose, over the nine months that they were inseparable.

Is it nine months gestation? For for dogs? I don't know. I don't know what the what the rules are. But apparently, it was quite a difficult one.

And I don't know, in some ways, it makes him special, doesn't it? Yeah. And also, I think the fact that he's, it's not that he's not been wanted, because I'm his, you know, I'm, he's a rescue. But it's just he's just circumstances, you know, he was, he was he was bred to be sold.

So we lived in that home to start with. Now dogs don't know that they've been born to be sold, realize they're just a commodity, just a product, they don't know that they're born and they see the humans as their family and their loved ones and their parents, I guess, you know, for the first, I don't know, three months of their life, however long it is. And then get taken somewhere else.

So he moved in with a lady, apparently, I don't know who she was. And she she was unwell, so she couldn't keep him. She became unwell.

So she had to she sent him back to the breeders. And apparently, that's a good thing. Breeders say that like, we'll take, we'll take the dog back if you have any problems or whatever.

So that's what they did. And then and he had a family there. He had kids.

And, you know, she was used to being around kids and stuff, but not other dogs, but from his mum. And I think she just, she liked him as a friend. That was about it.

And so I'm sure he got attached to the kids. I know he did, because I've seen him when I first got him. He was so excited to see them all.

And then he, because he was back with the breeder, they, well, they clearly didn't want him there because they didn't, they didn't give birth to him to keep him, it was to sell him. And they didn't know what to do. So what they did is, temporarily, his mum-in-law, the breeder, his mum-in-law looked after Vinnie.

And she had him for three months prior to me having him. And he absolutely adored her. Like, full on adored her.

Just, yeah, we just really loved her so much. And then, you know, he came to me in December. And he was only ever there part time.

It was, you know, she was, it was a temporary situation. So he got attached to her. I'm sure he was attached to the first lady that he lived with for six months or whatever it was.

And he was attached also to the original people that gave birth to him. And then he went back and lived with them for a while. So he had that attachment.

So he's been attached to three different homes. And then he came to me and I remember him saying, he said, look, is there any point me even unpacking my suitcase? I said, what do you mean? He said, well, I keep getting moved around so much. You know, which I'll just leave my, maybe I'll just take me, I'll take my pyjamas out and my binoculars so I can spy on the neighbours.

I don't know. I can't remember what he said. He loves flipping his ears, flapping his ears like that.

So yeah, he's well Vinnie, you're going to have things all over you, biting and nipping you because you kept running into the grass, the long grass, what I told you not to do. That's why you're itching and scratching. Because you're so low down.

They don't need a ladder to get onto you, do they? They just step onto you. You're the same size as the, as the lice. That's wrong to say that he's not the same size as the lice as he, but because the grass is so long, it's, it's longer than he is.

So, you know, when he's in there, you can't see him apart from when he stands on his, on his feet and he, and his hands in the air and he, he looks like a meerkat just to see what's over because he's always looking for something better. So he'll be, he'll be playing with his friend, but he's always on the lookout to see if there's another dog that he could have more fun with.

He's, you know, always on the, always ready to move on.

So I think it's been a weird, transition for him because he got very attached to the dog downstairs and then, and he used to see him a lot. And then the dog downstairs went missing for about two weeks, maybe three weeks. I think it was two weeks anyway.

And luckily he came, we found him, my friend found him, brought him back and they were happy to be together again. But then my friend's now got another dog that's younger than Vinnie, just turned a year, but he's, or she rather, she's so excitable, but she's a big dog and she keeps pounding on him, like putting, basically jumping on him and he can't handle it because she's too strong.

She's not, she's not meaning to hurt him.

She doesn't want to hurt. She just wants to play. He can't do it.

So we have to keep them apart, which means he hardly ever sees his friend anymore. So it's, it's a shame really, because they used to see each other nearly every day. And hopefully the, the other dog, he'll calm down a bit.

I hope. But what I've noticed with Vinnie is he started to be a little bit more, I don't know, lovable with me lately. So we're in bed and he'll come up and he'll, you know, normally before he'd wait until I was asleep or before I was asleep and then he'd cuddle up to me and I'd wake up and he'd be at my face or at my chest or sometimes even on top of me.

And, you know, but he wouldn't do that when I was awake. And sometimes when he did do it and I wasn't really awake, I was, I was awake, but he thought I was asleep and I put my hand on him and he'd jump off and shout, you're not my real dad, you know, and I'm packing my suitcase, I'm out of there. And then he settled down at the end of the bed.

And now he's cuddling up to my arm. So when I'm going to sleep, I lay on my right side and my arms sort of laid out across the bed. He cuddles up to my arm and I put my other hand on his back or on, yeah, on his back.

And he just is happy to do that. So we kind of, it's not like cuddling, cuddling, but it's, it's, it's sort of getting more like that. And then sometimes if I'm having to lay down or a nap, I'll lay down on my back, have my right arm out a little bit and he'll come and cuddle into where my armpit kind of top body is, you know, that part.

And sometimes I'd even rest his head on my chest. So yeah, he's, he's definitely becoming a little bit more, I was going to say romantic, that's not the right word, is it? A bit more, um, loving, I guess, I suppose. Yeah.

So he's, he seems happier. He's still waking me up though. He's, he's got into this pattern of waking me up early hours of the morning.

And honestly, he wakes me up. I don't wake up on my own. He is standing on my chest or his face is right in my face, staring at me, making a noise or licking my face or, you know, poking me or something for me to wake up.

And it's not always because he needs a toilet. He just, he's awake and he doesn't want to be awake on his own. He wants me to be awake with him.

And then he gets me up. He waits until I'm awake and then he goes back to bed. So I think it might just, he wants me out of his bed.

I'm taking up too much room. That's rude. He said, no, it's because you fart too much.

Vinnie, stop that. I don't do not do that. So rude.

So yeah, basically he's, he's a good boy. He's getting there. I started to, uh, I started to try and relax a little bit with when he's barking.

And so my friend knocked on my door at four this morning, four, four o'clock in the morning. Um, admittedly, uh, I knew he was going to, it was my doing really. So it's fine.

But Vinnie was like so excited, like screaming with excitement. And my friend pointed out that Vinnie doesn't know what time it is. Cause I'm thinking, I'm saying what the neighbors, I don't want him to wake up neighbors.

It's four in the morning. He said, he doesn't know it's four in the morning. It's true, isn't it? It doesn't know.

So I'm trying to take it a little bit easier. Like not just he barks. Sometimes he's good.

Most of the time, you know, he's, this is his territory. So he's guarding his territory and he's made this place his home. He really has.

So I think he's, he gets bored. I know he gets bored sometimes. And that's part of like this.

That's part of living with someone like me. I mean, he's never going to have an exciting life, is he? Let's face it. That was never on the cards.

That wasn't, you know, how, how, how could he, you know what I mean? It wasn't going to happen. It was always going to be boring and I don't mind, but then I kind of feel for him a little bit, tiny little bit, just a little bit, just a little bit, just a little bit of falling in love. Yes.

So what? What the heck? What the hell's going on? Oh, I should stop. Stop going onto Twitter. It's just awful.

Awful, awful, awful, awful, awful, awful, awful. I got to stop. Oh, no, no.

Get off of there. Get off. That was a weird noise.
