Sit sit sit good boy good boy there's only a bloody rain in hello and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep hello vinnie oh you don't want the phone okay you don't want it all right then i'll take it then oh you do want it well you got two choices finn you take the bone and you just keep a little bit quiet for a little while and don't hassle me for whatever you want or i'll keep the bone you want a bone there you go then good boy that's a

deal well that's a deal oh anyway hello welcome to jasonnewland.com it's a website and i do have at the moment a specific website for the Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcast how long it's going to be online i couldn't tell you because it's expensive to run all these different websites but anyway it's letmeboreyou.com letmeboreyou.com so that's the website and basically the difference between that and the jasonnewland.com website is it's only the Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcasts episodes there will also be if i do any boring boring podcast

ones boring objects or jason's bedtime story time if i do any of those in the future then they'll also be on there as well so uh oh yeah only listen only listen when you can safely close your eyes as you can maybe hear in the background the crinkly cronkly biting of a little baby boy eating his bone he's fairly happy now i think something really strange happened this morning or was it this no it's last night last night now i don't normally take him out well i do take him out

but like late at night it was getting dark not quite dark but getting there about nine o'clock in the evening so he's just walking to the park and he starts pulling like really pulling i've never never known you to do this before not in this way and he was pulling me to go into the park with all his energy so i just i just kind of follow him i think what was he what is he looking for and he turns the corner and there's nothing there there's not a single person

in the park and he keeps pulling me keeps pulling me until we get halfway through the park and then so this is a good i don't know let's say two two three minutes worth of walking maybe less around the corner comes another dog also pulling their lead so vinnie knew that the other dog was around there and the other dog clearly knew that vinnie was there but they weren't even vinnie wasn't even in the park and they were in a different part of the park around the corner different section so

i don't know two three hundred yards away 200 meters i don't know quite a distance away and around the corner like nowhere he couldn't see them how did he know that that dog was there i didn't hear anything i didn't hear any barking or anything like that but he was on a mission and i've never known him to pull so hard before it was he was excited the other dog was excited and they had a run around and they really you know he's only got two dogs he's like this with

i think where he just loves playing with them like running around the field and they both kind of love each other's equally and there's two there's this dog and there's another dog that he absolutely adores his best friend's a dog downstairs but they don't he's quite elderly so he doesn't he can't do the running around you know non-stop plus he's about 10 times bigger than vinnie but these two he absolutely loves playing with them i've never how did he know how did he know that there was this dog around two

corners one two three corners in fact so we had to turn around one corner to the second corner and they were around the third corner and at that point they would probably be around the fourth corner further up in the time it took us to get there unless we're just standing waiting you know behind the corner turn a different corner and we never would have met right so yeah that just was just seemed a bit strange to me almost like he's got some kind of psychic ability you know i mean

do you know what i mean do you do you really so a couple of things i've been a little bit focusing on and when i do the deep sleep whisper recordings i'm not happy with the sound i did a video the other day but i was using a different microphone and the sound is yesterday and it took me hours to make the sound better than what it was and it still didn't turn out particularly good but i'd spent 38 minutes making this video which was also an audio that i uploaded

mp3 and i just i didn't want to lose that time and i fell asleep making the video as well so i wanted to upload that because i thought it was quite funny but it took absolutely ages to try and find a way that i could improve the quality and take out certain aspects of it there wasn't so much background sound it was more um i kept blowing into the microphone i was blowing the microphone i was literally and i don't know how because i don't think i was anywhere near the

microphone really but i wasn't using this mic i mean this microphone there's a um i don't know what they call it you know the cover a little fuzzy head thing that goes over it and there's also a shield as well so it's kind of covered for that pop pop filter isn't it op filter so maybe i just need to just you know not bother with the videos because not not i mean making live videos as in like with my face or perhaps i'll won't just won't do the deep sleep whisper

ones i'm not sure i can i can make videos for YouTube using the like video software and you know with spirals and animations and stuff like that and just add in the podcast audio so that i can do that it's it's not complicated to do time consuming it is and the rendering or producing it rendering uploading all that stuff so it's each recording probably takes a couple of hours to process each video i mean and i'm still trying to get through the backdated stuff for the YouTube channel i mean luckily

i'm starting to get new subscribers on YouTube again because it's it went right down i mean i i lost a bunch of subscribers when i was re-uploading hundreds of videos that i deleted yay and then people started subscribing again and then i kind of didn't have any subscribers i just stopped i did have but you know just stopped having new ones and now i'm starting to get new ones again so you know the whatever the YouTube algorithm is i have definitely gone against the rules with that one so hopefully from

now on i'll only be releasing one maybe two videos a day instead of 20 30 videos 40 videos a day which was just you know too much for YouTube and so yeah that should be fine now i'm at 1009 subscribers so at least i've reached at least i've hit over the thousand which is i know it's not a lot but it's more than 900 i've worked out all by myself this i did 900 i thought i wonder if 900 is more than a thousand you know i read a book and

unfortunately the book didn't say anything about it because it was the history of sausage making but uh eventually i used a calculator and uh i was looking for one online but i couldn't spell it but eventually i found it i asked a friend for help and uh yeah 900 is actually less than a thousand i'm not sure if 1009 is more though or less i'm gonna have to get more help for that one so yeah 1009 is all right and i think my aim of getting 10 000 by december maybe

not gonna happen but if i can get if i can reach 2000 by the end of the year i think i'll be i'll be okay with that and then maybe aim for the 10 000 by the end of next year you know as as long as it goes up i mean it kind of depends on whether or not people would want to listen to what i'm doing because podcast wise people do listen you know i have a lot of well not a lot but i average about 300 000 downloads a

month on average that's on a kind of a very average low the lowest kind of month really more just under 200 just under 300 000 or it can go up to higher than that but YouTube is it's a different beast so i don't know i don't know if people are going to want to listen to my recordings on YouTube it's it's a different it's a different audience i know it's not necessarily completely different because i'm pretty certain that most people that listen to podcasts also you know people that use apple

podcasts or stitcher although stitches i think stitch is closing in august spotify also probably use YouTube as well you know a lot of noise outside i don't know where it's coming from yeah so yeah i'm just kind of looking at it and just i i'm happy to have reached a thousand to be honest on YouTube it's taken me years to get to the thousand uh admittedly admittedly admittedly i haven't put a lot of effort into it until recently and it's just grown very slowly but i was rarely actually uploading anything

and then i had a little push and it started to grow and i think i had about 600 subscribers and now i managed to get up to a thousand over it still took me about six months to do it if not longer it was sort of maybe december january that i started really focusing i put a bit more time into it yeah i think so yeah it's hard to tell i just i really should keep a diary keep a diary of all the excitement the exciting things that i do but

yeah it's um we'll see how it goes i mean i quite like the idea of making videos but like you like of me doing i'll tell you what it is i think of edini edini was one of the first i mean i was also one of the first YouTube hypnotists edini i think started even before me but we both started in 2007 on YouTube i started making videos before YouTube on myspace in 2006 and but he was he'd already i think he was already active on YouTube before me and there's

only a bunch of us really there was a it wasn't many YouTube hypnotists on YouTube YouTube hypnotists on YouTube i could have just said YouTube hypnotists and in reality there's still not a huge amount there are it's there's a few but it's not like um if he was to go through all the ai YouTube channels or the i don't know minecraft yeah like minecraft or gaming YouTube channels hypnosis is or asmr YouTube you know hypnosis is a very very small amount of people but i was one of the first and

edini was also one of the first and what i admired about him is firstly his success because he did have a good following he had like a very loyal following and i think he was more interested in magic than in the hypnosis that i think that's really where his passion really was that's where his love true love was with magic and he did magic tricks on his YouTube channel he also used to go on and do magic on the street street street magic and also street hypnosis i do believe uh

in the summertime so but what he did is he didn't wait to have the decent equipment or nor did i to be honest my equipment was pretty bad but he never worried about updating the equipment in a sense of what you got was him there was nothing um there was no flowers or truffles that's not the right word no decorations it was just him talking into the camera and he had a great voice a great hypnosis voice and he just was really good at it it's very he had a very

very calm very very slow voice and that's how he spoke normally from what i understand from when i heard him doing his magic or his his vlogs he that's how he spoke it wasn't really that much different he's a very slow speaker very um purposeful with his words just like me i'm probably the least purposeful with words in the person in the person see i didn't put a sentence together so yeah i just i don't know what the point is i'm making is oh yeah anyway i'm just thinking really thinking

back to the past it's hard to think back to the future isn't it unless you're michael j fox so i used to i admired that he was he just did it you know he just had a laptop with a camera and he just filmed himself and uploaded it and he had large views he had a lot of people followed him more than i ever had he you know even not a lot on a podcast but like on YouTube the amount of um views that he had and his subscribers were much

more than i ever had even when i was at my most i don't want to use the word successful because it wasn't a success but it was the best i got why you know on YouTube there was a little time when things were going quite well and i still couldn't even touch it you know he was way ahead of me uh way more popular and i just thought it was cool because he there was a genuineness about him that i liked it just came across that he was who he who

he portrayed or he wasn't portraying it was just it was just him so yeah i don't know why i'm talking about him but i just just remember in those days when there's very few hypnotists online i remember once i i found a channel i found a video and i thought and there was this bloke with a goatee beard with a bald head sitting at a desk i think it was black and white as well and it was sitting in front of a big bookcase and i thought it's me but it

wasn't me it was someone else a completely different person and i thought i think that's the first time i realized that there was more people doing it because i didn't do any research probably because i was already making videos on myspace because myspace in 2006 maybe it was early 2007 i think it was 2006 you can upload videos and audios mp3s and videos and i did both and but bearing in mind how much you know YouTube and Facebook and all that stuff they're quite being quite well known in twitter as

well for being for not always being the kindest with comments i want to try and reframe that so it's not being you know but you know what i mean um maybe not the most supportive sometimes i mean i've been very lucky and most of the people that leave comments are very supportive on YouTube i have been in the past i mean i still are but you know i'm a much smaller much smaller youtuber than i used to be i'm a much bigger person i'm fatter but i'm you know i have

a smaller reach on YouTube and i had some weird weird comments and weird things going on in the past however and the same on Facebook i've had some strange stuff on there uh twitter has not been too bad because i've never hugely been active on twitter however myspace myspace which basically Facebook replaced Facebook most people just left myspace and went to Facebook as soon as it started it was the biggest thing that and YouTube were the two biggest websites pretty much of that decade i would say apart from amazon amazon

google i don't class google as a website but it is isn't it and google do you remember google when it wasn't just one bar where you put stuff in it wasn't just like a search bar they used to have other stuff on there used to used to be able to search didn't used to be able to search by topic and stuff like that as well do you remember that years ago i'm talking a long long time ago and i know i've talked about this before but you know i'm gonna run

out of things to talk about so i will repeat myself at times i try not to though but occasionally i will i remember i was um it's the early days of YouTube and i was i thought i'd just search through you know just search through hypnosis because i did you know i was putting hypnosis in i didn't know that other people were really doing stuff and i came across this bloke and he had a goatee beard and a bald head it was in black and white and he was standing and

sitting right in front of this bookcase i'm just amusing myself don't worry about it then i thought was it that looks like me and yeah myspace see myspace originally wasn't about it wasn't anything like Facebook it wasn't about just lots of people meeting with each other it was for bands it was for musicians artists you know that's what it was for but because it was so such a good space and it's a very positive space that's what i wanted to point out something that the internet seemed to have stopped doing

now in my experience since i've been back on YouTube i've had pretty much just mainly positive stuff and that might be because maybe i'm older and people don't want to upset an old person like me because you know i was i was in my middle 30s i was 35 when i started YouTube and now i'm 52 so it's you know i was a young man back then i could still run for a bus well i could still consider running for a bus now even a thought makes me feel exhausted i

think about running for a bus i have to sit down for an hour so i try not to think about running for a bus why would you think about running for a bus what's the point anyway i remember i uploaded i made it i was in this like yeah you know really two minds about whether or not to make recordings to make a video because i've never i've never looked in a mirror i never i've never ever in my whole life really looked into the mirror and thought oh yeah oh

yeah you know it's never really happened and i'm not doing myself down or anything but just i'm a realist i've i've got eyes and you know it's like oh and even before i discovered YouTube because i didn't know about YouTube until 2007 i think it was around in 2004 i think but i didn't know about it and the idea what was he doing make a lot of noise i know that much i tell you what he likes you know those drinks the juices that come is it capri juice capri sun

something like that and they come in these almost metallic plastic pouches and you put in a straw and the straw now cardboard and which means you've got to drink it pretty quick before the before the straw becomes soggy well he now likes getting hold of those pouches and ripping them to bits he really enjoys it oh another thing did i ever tell you that he had a gaggle tooth he had he had two teeth together i don't know if gaggle tooth is a proper dental term but he had his two

teeth together growing together and they're both the same size but one was a little bit loose my friend he said i'll pull it out no because my friend's so strong he might pull the wrong one out he's got proper really you know these people are really strong naturally without even meaning to be that's what he's like honestly i mean i'd be scared if he helped me to put a tie if i had it so if i was going to a wedding or something and he was my best man which he

could be because my best friend and he's and i said oh can you help me do my tie up i'd be scared in case my head popped off like because he's just like so strong anyway i'm not saying anyway today it's my new my new catchphrase anyway what was i saying oh yeah i was trying to get it out of his trying to get it out of his mouth like occasionally you know when i was when i was playing fighting with him and he'd be had my hand his mouth i

can't like play with it and just see it wasn't loose loose but it was slightly loose and i was wondering whether or not i'd be able to sort of loosen it a bit because i was i was concerned that it might be causing him discomfort and i said to him is it causing discomfort he said not as much as you sticking your hand in my mouth and pulling on it so i can fair enough okay dokey doke has told me and i realized the other day like two three days ago

it's gone where's it gone so now he's just normal like not normal it's nothing more than two teeth together but he he just i guess that was the baby tooth and the adult tooth came out but the baby tooth still stayed which i don't understand because doesn't the baby tooth doesn't the adult tooth come out and pushed the baby tooth out maybe i maybe i don't know i thought it come out of the same hole he realizes he's not making enough noise the other side of the room so he's brought

that plastic container thing to right underneath my feet he's doing it there now he okay so so that i was quite pleased about that because i was a little bit concerned that maybe he's having a bit of discomfort but he seems seems fine i don't know when it happened i don't know when he pulled it out but all i can say is he loves bones and he spends so much time chewing on things that it was any loose tooth is going to fall out eventually anyway because he's always chewing so

myspace i still have fonder memories of myspace than YouTube or any of the other social networks sites that may be nostalgia i also have very fond memories of my my free podcast i think that's the name of it myfreepodcast.com which was the first podcast that i used podcast and host i used and that was back in again i think either 2006 or 2007 before i used the podcast i used to put my mp3s on my website for people to download so i'm not sure if i so i had recordings but

i'm not sure if i used the podcast until 2007 it might be in 2006 i lose i do lose track to be honest with you i do but my um the my podcast i remember in i'd reached a hundred thousand downloads in january 2008 because i was so proud of myself sounds like you still are no it was a big deal like for me bearing in mind i'd only been doing it for two years 2006 2007 and it was i'd started my degree course in counseling in september 2007 and i

remember going back into college in the january and i was looking at the stats because i go on every day you know me and me and my stats i go on every day and just to check and i couldn't believe it it's like because i was getting you know nice numbers every day so it's quite early on i went to like two three four five hundred a day like wow so anyway yeah i i think i'd reached a hundred thousand downloads by january 2008 and i was showing everyone and i

couldn't believe the lack of interest and i said to my friend i can't believe no one's interested she said well maybe just show the people that you actually know and just walk up to random people i mean some people are here they're talking you know i mean i said she had a point i guess she had a point but i said well i don't only show people here at college i show people outside as well she said yeah but you know those nurses are busy the surgeons they don't need you

walking into the operating theater showing well look i've got a hundred thousand stats they're doing an operation that you need to just rein it in a little bit that was a weird that was him doing his flappy ear thing he normally does that when he's wet he's going to come and stare at me now i'm going to ignore him um so yeah so i was pleased with that and i what i did is i made recordings and i was uploading i was uploading recordings that i've done live because initially i

was recording live and that these are the record can you make enough noise blimey lucky that i don't have to worry about background sound with these recordings wow can you imagine him and andre together it would just be carnage wouldn't it be like banging banging here and smashing and just just all kinds of stuff they'd be chasing each other around the place i think they'd love each other um i do wonder if vinnie try and eat him though but andre was a tough nut andre was andre was way tougher than

vinnie don't mess with him he'd take on he'd taken a dog 20 times his size ferrets are not scared of any anyone they're not it's it's that whole pole he was called pole cat but ferrets are pole cats it's just they're just like pole cats are wild or whatever i don't know but they don't have fear is that they that's the whole it comes from their bloodline being badgers all the way to wolverines the wolverines are the most fearless creatures on the planet and ferrets are the same species that the

same come from the same stock badgers what's the other ones uh i forget there's a few different ones i was gonna say eels but not eels badgers wolverines ferrets pole cats um that minx minxes you know that the whole um that that group of animals that have that smell i guess maybe the skunks are the same at least part of the same species the skunks ain't scared of no one either are they but yeah is the only thing that ever scared andre was really high sounds and like a motorbike you

people rev a motorbike got really loud like and it sparks like like that um that used to make him jump but he used to make me jump more i mean that happened once years ago i was actually on the way to college and this is when i didn't even live in the same town so this is really early days early early days you know the first couple of weeks so i'm walking across and the traffic lights traffic lights are stopped and loads of us are walking across the um zebra crossing

so i'm just walking i'm half asleep i just traveled from another town and it was a good 45 minute walk from my house to the train station and then half an hour on the train and then from the train station on that side to get to yeah it's a distance so it's a good um couple of hours to get there and you know with waiting for buses and trains and stuff so i was a little bit tired and i'm walking across and this motorbike let rip it was just basically preparing

to i don't know what he's preparing to do but he was standing still but i literally jumped off the ground and screamed it made me jump so much and i'll be honest with you i didn't have kind thoughts towards that person i'll be honest i really didn't um it was horrible it was like oh and it was embarrassing as well because i'm pretty sure a fair few people probably thought it was quite amusing but that would have scared andre that would have andre would have wanted to go for him let

me at him let me at him he's uh he was a little bit of a tear away little andre was he's maybe he lunged at a dog once the dog was i think being given the big one and he just lunged at him it's like stop it the dog's feet are bigger than your entire body just stop it andre you're tiny you don't realize how tiny you are small things come in big pack no what's it big things come in small packages is that it is that one i said that

is a statement is it a question andre i don't know you don't want to keep saying that little things are good yeah but that's shush stop it so yeah i my space my space the thing i liked about my space was it was supportive it really was it was nice i didn't i don't remember receiving any unkind messages at all and bearing in mind i'd only just started really you know i mean i started in january 2006 making recordings mp3s i kind of started like playing with the idea of um

because i started doing a pain relief free pain relief service in my local area and i was just i was building a website so it took a while for it to kind of get to a point where i could add stuff to it and then i think by the april i was and yeah i was able to record sessions i was doing on a little dick to dick uh dick recorder thing so i'd record what i was saying and providing they didn't say anything i could use it and and then

i started doing the group record the group sessions and i'd record those as well and we used to make cds but then they'd go so quickly so i thought it'd be easier if i just because it wasn't so much that people wanted to listen to a recording by me they wanted to listen to that recording they wanted to listen to something they'd already heard so they'd come in on a friday afternoon and between now and next friday they liked the idea of being able to listen to that exact recording you

know to re almost re-experience that sense of comfort and relaxation and letting go and that they experienced on the friday previous yes so that's kind of well that is what i did i started uploading the recording pretty much straight away as is i didn't do any editing didn't i didn't know anything about editing i didn't it's very evident i mean i've lost all of those recordings oh a lovely plane how how thoughtful thank you thanks mr pilot man woman person or was it helicopter i'm not sure so i remember uploading

the first video to myspace and being very i think it was in black and white in fact it might still be online somewhere but probably not not the very first one but there's a couple of old ones that are online from 2007 and as i say shall i try and find one online when i'm talking while i'm talking to you i can't be bothered i kind of want to now yeah why not right hopefully that wasn't too noisy video let's have a look videos i mean there is some this is

2017 2017 2021 2020 2020 two days ago so i was trying to see if there's anything from i got one from 2016 but it's not me okay two weeks ago two weeks ago i suppose if i put a date in what if i put a date in maybe i don't know what if i go right away to number 14 Jason Newland no i'll tell you what if i go to 2007 video i wonder what is that blimey there's one it says focus on your legs YouTube paul downey to 2nd of

october 2007 right i don't know what the hell this is what on earth so paul downey 2nd of october 2007 i wonder why that's it's just that video coming up but not um me so that just gives you an idea oh no that's oh blimey blimey blimey what's a video channel jason 2007 there's definitely some videos of me because i've seen them but they're kind of oh oh no okay YouTube 2007 nope how strange unless they're not on there what's another you know there was a time back in i don't

know basically basically after YouTube became a thing there was quite a few different video channels okay so what i'll do if i just have a look sites like YouTube now there was loads that came along loads and and i've got a few come up here vivo twitch and twitch wasn't around but metacafe vimeo so daily motion i think daily motion might be the one that i was on i think that's still running daily motion daily motion let's have a look daily motion but there was loads of different video channels and

i uploaded my videos to all of them and i think metacafe i was getting more views on metacafe than i was on even YouTube i don't know why i was getting like thousands and thousands oh look blimey look at this okay so the oldest video i've got on here is 16 years ago so 16 14 years 13 years 14 years 15 yes 15 years 16 years i'm just looking at the earliest one that i've got how weird see these on play there's videos that were mine but they're on someone else's

website so someone else has had a channel and they've put my stuff on their channel for some reason that's a bit weird and if i just look at me okay so i've got 70 videos and two followers this is on daily motion so 70 videos that you can't but most of them you can't see anywhere else i'm not going to tell you where the phone actually if you just go to dailymotion.com dailymotion.com and just put in Jason Newland and you'll see there's a few videos that aren't on my channel for

some reason people who put them on theirs but mine is there's a picture of me from 2006 when i did the i had a newspaper article written about me and they took a picture of me doing hypnosis with an elderly man and who had arthritis and i was helping him with his chronic pain and i'm bald i'm clean shaven and i'm wearing all white which is not a good color considering the color of my face so i look like a ghost with a suntan it was yeah wow so the videos

let's have a look let's click on videos videos featured none of them have got hardly any views at all like really and i'm not really uh publicizing myself very well here but they really in fact they're not even telling me how many views i got 14 years ago chronic pain relief technique 12 that was when i was living that's when i was at university um update 5th of august 2009 that when i that's when i was at university i remember even the curtains behind me because i used to do these

update videos that's that then led to because i called them jason chats my vlogs chronic pain relief technique i did outside again that was 14 years ago video session number three now this was 15 years ago now it's not necessarily when i uploaded it it's not when i uploaded it it's not necessarily when i actually recorded it if that makes sense because i've got another video also 15 years ago and that was in a completely different place different background oh 16 years ago wow okay i've actually got a date on

one of these the earliest one is the 15th of the 4th 07 so the 15th of april 2007 it's a 10 minute relaxation session and it's black and white black and white and there's oh i'll upload it twice and there's also one 25th of april 2007 10 minute relaxation session and there's another one 10 minute chronic pain relief technique one and that was 16 years ago as well blimey hypnosis pain relief 16 years ago and that was color blimey oh wow i look younger but i was younger i was a

young'un i was such a young little boy back then i couldn't even grow a beard wow i wasn't wearing very flattering clothes either a little bit of a belly i can't believe i used to be overweight instead of the slim suave suave or curvy i don't know what the stats are two followers so it's not going to be a lot of people actually watching would there i suppose i could just click on one and find out did it tell me how many people have viewed it no it's not it's still

playing should i play it to you sounds not good is it oh thank you wow i don't know where my gray hairs are that's not me i don't have any gray hairs does that mean there was a time when i just had dark hair so in my 30s i just had dark i didn't have gray hairs in my 30s blimey i didn't even have a beard or a moustache i was clean shaven and i look i would say i look slimmer there slimmer well i was i know i was a

lot i was i weighed a i look slimmer but he was slimmer no i don't know anyway so yeah so not only is my voice really high pitched like hello welcome to but i'm saying www.jasonnewland.com so i wasn't even pronouncing my name correctly it's new land as we all know so and i'm holding up this i don't know if i'm holding it up or it's just balanced but this i think it's a polythene thing with a piece of card sellotaped to the front with the website address i didn't know you

could do editing and have something come on the screen um it was it was the early days i haven't really advanced that much more since to be honest that's funny wow those were the days so dailymotion.com if you want to have a good old laugh you can see me i wonder if i'm on any of the other ones that were mentioned dailymotion what's the other one that was there dailymotion metacafe is metacafe still exist metacafe metacafe metacafe creating something metacafe and nine plus video streaming sites metacafe original show yeah i

think it's gone i don't think it exists anymore metacafe was an israeli video sharing website launched in july 2003 blimey during the mid 2000s it was one of the largest video sharing websites correct it was though eventually began to be superseded by YouTube vimeo and dailymotion dissolved a year ago well august 2021 so it's two years ago nearly isn't it blimey now metacafe admittedly i don't think i mean it's hard to remember the truth i might have been on metacafe before YouTube i don't remember i really don't however i remember

i was getting i would put something on metacafe and i would get sometimes thousands of views on a video like why you know where were they coming from why were people watching i didn't understand it but i liked it a lot but as soon as YouTube became popular because i was i was on YouTube before it became popular it was it was getting traction but it wasn't it wasn't like instantly overnight everyone knew about it it took a little bit of time a little bit of time just not a huge

amount of time but you know i was online all the time and i only found out about it from a friend so i was very active online right from the late 90s like 97 onwards really but once once it kind of took off it it took off in a big way but there were still other video sites i mean there were there's quite a few quite a few if i'm there was there was something called what was it called so there's vimeo detube i don't remember detube vimeo is still around

you can basically have your own videos on there and you can turn it into a like a subscription thing internet archives video section i think that's still around metacafe nine gag tv daily motion i mean um i imagine people aren't using daily motion anymore maybe they are vivo vivo is in vivo where you've got the music videos for the famous music videos and this twitch i've never used twitch ted crackle i used to use crackle oh i used to use crackle in the past i didn't think it was still around

fans oh yeah i just clicked on it sonycrackle.com thanks for visiting unfortunately we're not currently available in this region they used to be they used to be that's all i can say is they used to be now ted so if i go to ted that's not a video it's a video service but it doesn't offer the just people can just add their own videos this is lectures and stuff ted talks i used to i've watched a lot of those twitch best known in the gaming community i never used twitch i

never even thought about it because i'm not a gamer but i don't think it's only gamers can use it i don't know maybe i need to start opening myself up to new places and new things because vivo a great YouTube alternative unless of course you want an audience because it doesn't you're not i've got videos on there let me just see if i've got any blimey it's closed it's not closed but you can't just buy the numbers 1.5 billion hours viewed per month 500 000 music videos vivo vivo yes i'm

thinking of vimeo vivo yeah they do get billions and billions and billions pretty a lot of the videos on YouTube from famous music artists are actually vimeo of vivo videos 9gag tv metacafe i've done that one internet archives so archive.org i've been on here a few times over the years you can actually search back on websites and find old snapshots of websites sometimes from years ago although it's not opening up for some reason i don't know why why is it not opening up that's strange that's very strange archive archive.org is

it a.org did i say archives.org yeah it's opening up now now i've typed it in myself military archive no i think it might be archive not archives archive archive.org oh well i can't i don't care it's gone now so yeah so that's that's kind of not a huge amount happening here i've got my little one down there doing his thing and just i said i made a deep sleep whisper yesterday i'm making this today i want to make at least one recording a day and i'd like to i would like

to make a regular Let Me Bore You To Sleep every day it's just getting myself into that groove you know i mean it's because sometimes i talk and i'm thinking why would anybody want to listen to this you know really because it is boring a lot of it is really boring repetitive tedious maybe but it is supposed to be it's kind of it's yeah it's like i'm second-guessing myself and judging it for what it is supposed to be it's supposed to be repetitive and tedious and boring and unstimulating and almost

just blah blah blah blah blah blah you know that's kind of what it is that's what it's that's what it was set out that's what i set out to accomplish really um so yeah i don't know i don't know it's right i think that's enough for one day oh come on why is it doing that okay good i'm trying to shut that thing so thank you for listening remember to be kind to yourself remember to be gentle with yourself because you deserve to be happy now vinnie's moaning at me so

take care he's saying goodbye you're saying goodbye vinnie you're saying goodbye say goodbye say goodbye you won't do it if i want him to do it oh no no no if you want me to so take care lots of love bye will you say goodbye now that i've stopped will you will you say goodbye now will you say goodbye now that we've stopped recording yeah well say something
