Hello and welcome to let me bore you to sleep. My name is Jason Newland and my website's jasonnewland.com. Hey, please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. I hope you're all well and I wanted to say something.
Um, I've got a couple of, uh, little announcements, but I wanted to say something quickly and then I'd like to thank a couple of people, uh, separately from this. Um, over the last, what was it, since I think it was March 2018, I've been making these let me bore you to sleep podcasts. So it's nearly four years.
Is that right? Yes. It's November. It'll be four years in three months, but anyway, so it's a few years anyway.
And, you know, let's face it. We've all been through a lot during that time. It'd been some pretty, very weird things that we've all kind of shared in a way.
And although I do try and keep these podcasts light, I do, it might not seem like it, but I do try, try and keep them, you know, as gentle as possible, not try not to focus on the news and stuff like that. Um, but I do, I guess I overshare a tendency of oversharing maybe, uh, talking about my own life. And I mean, that is part of the podcast is I just kind of update you on what's going on in my boring life.
And during that time, the, you know, the whole those that were with me at the beginning, you know, you got to kind of probably felt that you, you kind of knew Andre a bit, my little ferret. And I don't know if I really said it, but I just wanted to thank those, those of you that showed me that were very supportive at the time. And there's a lot of people probably listening now that don't even know who Andre is or was.
Um, but it really, it meant a lot to me. It still does mean a lot to me. Uh, I received a lot of kindness last year in May when, uh, you know, I lost him.
So, uh, I'm not trying to start on the negative, but it's a positive because I'm saying thank you. So yeah, I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone. I want to say thank you to everyone for listening as well, because if it wasn't for you listening, I wouldn't be doing this.
So, you know, there's that. So yeah, just, I was just thinking about it earlier and I thought, I don't know if I've really kind of conveyed my gratitude. Um, so yeah, I am now, if that makes sense.
A harp saw. I've just done my rubbish, just put my rubbish out. It's, uh, this flat is getting very messy.
Now I'm not the tidiest person in the world, but I do like a bit of tidiness. I like a bit of order. Not in a, not in a fascist way, but just in a kind of, I like things to be findable.
I mean, yesterday I couldn't find my sofa. It's like, what is it? It was here yesterday. Well, okay.
I moved a bunch of papers. So there it is. So it's, uh, I need to do a little bit of tidying up.
So another thing, I've got a couple of messages to read out and I'd like to say thank you. First of all, where is it? First of all, oops, no, that's not it. That's not it.
Where are you? I want to say thank you to Mary. I need to send a message, but Mary for your PayPal gift and the message was, uh, you are such a star. Thank you.
I really appreciate that. It was lovely. And from the looks of it, Mary lives in London.
So, so thank you, Mary. I also received a really nice message. Uh, where is it? This is from Tasha.
Uh, this is like, I got, I woke up to this message. I didn't wake up to the message, but I woke up, looked at my phone and looked at the emails and, you know, it was on there, you know, I mean, I woke up to it kind of. So Tasha, she says, uh, you don't know the impact you've had in my life.
I'm from New York. So, so you've reached my ears. So you, I feel as you've reached my ears.
So, um, I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. You're the only person that soothes my mind. I want to thank you.
You'll always have my support. Thank you, Tasha. Um, I hope you don't mind me reading that out.
I mean, there's no way anyone's going to know who you are from the name and, um, 47 Spurges Avenue. Um, telephone number seven, seven, five, nine, four, three, seven, four, five, five, six, seven, five. Uh, date of birth 24th of December, 1982.
Um, social security number. I'm kidding. Thank you, Tasha.
That's very lovely of you. You know, I've been getting quite a few messages, but not from people. Well, they're from people, but if not from like listeners, I'm getting messages now from here's one for Mike grow, digital camp.com. That's his email address.
Hello. We are interested to increase organic traffic traffic to your website. Please get back to us in order to discuss the possibility in further detail.
Please mention your phone number with country code and suitable time to talk. So is that another one again, same message twice sends me two minutes apart. So Mike, you're a little bit impatient.
Um, and I got another message. Where is it? I've had a few messages nearly every day. I get messages, but they're from people trying to, I don't like sell me things.
I'm not necessarily, but, uh, this one was from Sophia. Greetings of the day. We're interested to increase organic traffic to your website.
Okay. So it's pretty much, please mention your phone number with it's exactly the same message, but it's from someone different, a different person. How weird is that? And then I got another one.
This one from, I got, and this is from Katie. Uh, so I need to reply to that. I forgot this.
I want to stop smacking nice snacking after dinner. Do you have a hypnosis tape to help with that? Um, no, I do. Do I have, I might have a weight loss recording somewhere.
So I need to look into that. Sorry. I've not got back to you.
And this is yesterday's messages. Another one for Marcelina or Marcelino. Where are you? I'm not quite sure how to answer that.
I'm here. Where are you? Where are you? Where am I? I'm here. Where else would I be? Where are you? I'm sure there's a reason for that.
So, you know, let us know, contact me. Um, didn't really understand. I need a little bit more information before I can kind of reply, if you know what I mean.
Um, yeah. Where am I? I mean, I don't know. I'm not sure what to do with that question.
I'm in, I'm in the UK. If that's what you mean, what country am I in? I'm in the UK. So, um, I'm not in America, or Canada, or I'm not going to go for every country in the world.
It's silly, really. But yeah, I'm here. But I don't know.
Um, wasn't quite sure what was meant by the question. I call my windows open. So there might be a few background sounds.
I like to have my windows open. I just I keep mentioning that it's getting boring now. Stop.
I've stopped. I've now stopped. So it's eight minutes past eight in the evening on Friday, the 4th of November 2022.
So as per my usual new ritual, I'm going to do my three things I'm great, great gratitudinal for. So the first one would be my just amazing good looks, I guess. I've been blessed, you know, length as well as girth.
No, um, my belly that is. No, I've been um, yeah, I'm grateful. I'm grateful for the lovely messages.
Lovely messages. Lovely messages. I'm grateful for the PayPal gift.
It's a lovely start to the day. I've been looking after my friend's dog pretty much all well for about 11 to five. No, yes.
Yeah, it was about five just before about five. And yeah, I was in a fairly okay mood today. Yeah, what's the third one? Well, I'm looking forward to the boxing tomorrow.
There's boxing on is in Dubai. So it's on early. So it's no like late night thing.
So the preliminary fights start about 230 in the afternoon. And the actual show itself self starts, I think 530. So it'll be over and done with by about nine.
So there's no staying up all night or anything like that. Because of the Dubai time, it's I think Dubai is I guess three hours ahead. About three hours ahead of us.
So that makes sense. Yeah, 56789. Yeah, so there'd be started about 839.
No, so I don't know. Anyway, I'm pretty, pretty pleased. I'm looking forward to that.
It's nice to have it on to have like a Saturday afternoon of watching boxing. So just that's, that's what I put down that I'm grateful for. It's shallow, but hey, that's what I am.
I'm Mr. Shallow, Mr. Shallow, Shallow, Shallow, Shallow, Shallow, Shallow. I'm not recording this as a video today. Because my hair is too messy.
That's another example of shallowness, isn't it? Well, it is. I can't, I have to wash it. I have to, it's got to the point where it's just, it's just, yeah, you know, I mean, it's, it's not, you could fry an egg on it.
If it got too hot. It's the bit it needs a little bit of TLC. TLC.
A little bit of huggy wuggy, a little bit of you know, just caring a little bit. And I haven't got much hair. I mean, just I don't have much hair.
There's not a lot going on on top anymore. I do have hair. It's just the bald patches.
It's yeah. It's growing, I think. I can't see it.
But the problem with bald patches is it's not bald, but it's still hair there, but it's thinning out. And it looks awful. It doesn't look good, whether I have short hair or if I grow my hair longer, because the hair is more visible.
It's not more visible. It just seems a bit more visible when I got more hair. It's the context, I guess, isn't it? The comparison.
When it's all short, I don't mean like shaved, but just tidy. It doesn't look too bad, but then I'm receding at the front. I've been receding for years.
And I'm starting to look like Tintin. You'd have to research that. Probably most of you.
Tintin. Who's Tintin? He basically used to have this. OK, another example would be the.
Oh. Cameron Diaz, something about Mary, the hair cream incident where her hair sticks up. That's kind of what I'm like, but with not for that reason.
And. It's. It's going to get to the point when it's like three hairs sticking up on their own.
And it's just, you know. Uh. Right, I tell you what I have been doing, let me do you interested in this? I'll show you.
I get me iPad out. I've been doing. Been going through a I'm trying to get organized.
And I'm trying to get. Tidier, like within. My home, but trying to get organized and trying to figure out what am I? How much is this costing me to run this podcast now? I could do it.
You know, there's always ways of doing things cheaper. I remember someone saying when I was talking about asking for help a couple of years back to help pay for the podcast hosted, which is 100 pound or whatever a month. And so I said, we'll just get a free podcast host, which is an option.
If I only had like three podcast episodes and would be an option if I only made one recording a week, even then I'd end up having to pay eventually because I'd run out of space. And it's fine if I didn't want to actually grow an audience, because, you know, it's I mean, it's possible to grow an audience with a free podcast host. It is possible.
You know, if you do one recording once a week and it's incredibly popular. Then, you know, you could still share the RSS feed. That's the code, basically the like the address of the podcast.
You still share it to all the different places. And yeah, you could you could potentially could have the most successful podcast in the world. If it's usually famous people that have that, you know, they kind of got a little head start by already being famous.
But that's not the case for everyone. But if I'd have gone down that route, I wouldn't have had. I think I'd be lucky to have 1000 downloads a month.
Seriously, if I was like, trying to use a free, a free podcast host, if I was trying to do everything on the cheap, and I didn't didn't put any effort into the equipment, or, you know, if I if I left things how they were, because you have to have to progress in some way, I think. And I've tried, you know, I'll give it I've really I have tried. But I thought, if you're interested, before I tell you the things that I shell out for every month, some of its new stuff, it's like software websites, things like that.
So without the equipment and stuff in I'm in debt for some of the stuff I've got a laptop and a few other bits and bobs, but, you know, on them for the actual monthly expenses. And this is month in month out. And none of them.
None of them are uncancellable. None of them are uncancellable, if that makes sense. So I can stop all of them.
I'm not in I'm not caught up in a contract with any of them. And the most important one out of four. No, actually, that's not true.
I'm caught up in the broadband contract 18 months. I think, yeah, so there's probably another six months left on that one. But other than that, everything else I could cancel.
Now, I can't cancel Spreaker, which is my podcast host, because then I wouldn't have my podcasts. I'd have to there is a way of doing it without starting all over again. But I'd have to I probably end up just doing one podcast.
And I wouldn't be able to have any of the back catalog on there. So it'd be if I went with if I went with buzzsprout. Okay, I'll tell you because I was on there earlier looking.
So buzzsprout is a very popular podcast host. I've been with them before. So I'll tell you pricing.
Okay. So buzzsprout.is it? I don't know.com. Yeah. So I'm not slagging them off or anything.
I'm just just telling you what they do. And they are good. They are good.
They got very good websites and stuff that they build for you. And it's, it's good. I like them.
But it wasn't suitable for me just for one reason. Because I was only allowed. Oh, wait a minute.
Yeah. Even at the highest, the highest level, which is only $24 a month. So it's not a lot.
But only 12 hours each month of uploading. So there's unlimited storage. So you never run out.
So you can do it for the next 100 years or whatever. But only 12 hours a month. Now, considering each podcast I do is one's 10 hours, one's five hours, one's the other two about an hour each.
So, so it's 17 hours. So each one of these podcasts, let me bore you sleep 17 hours straight away. So that wouldn't even cover one a day.
So it's not really suitable for me. Even before so I can hear song, we don't do the ones with the music, then don't do them one is just do the ones where you're talking. I'd like to do that.
If I'm honest, I'd rather do the ones without music. However, the ones with a background music that last 10 hours are the most popular ones out of all the stuff I do. They're the ones that get listened to the most.
I can't ignore that. You know, when I took all of my music background podcasts off last year, or earlier this year. I think it was January actually.
Because the Yeah, I think it was January, I got an email from a speaker saying, I couldn't have podcasts with just music going on for ages, because it's not a music podcast. You know, it's not what they're here for. It's for spoken word.
It's fair enough. That's their rules. And that was in the that was in the contract that I signed.
And that's in the terms and conditions. And the problem is, I had spent hundreds of hours probably putting it all together and uploading and all that stuff. I had to delete it all.
So I kept the recordings. At the time, I kept all the recordings that were just me talking. This is throughout all the different podcasts that I do.
And I kept the ones with background music, because that's okay, if it's me talking above it. And my stats went down, like, way down, weighed really noticeably, noticeably really, really. And it was a bit disheartening because I think this is February.
And I just had the best three months I've ever had. November, December, January, or the best three months, statistically, that I've ever had so far. I've not topped it, not topped.
December was the best month I'd had. And January was less, but still, you know, the third best thing November was above. So November, December was the best month I've had.
November was the second. And January was the third. Over the last four years.
You know, I think some days I was getting 40 50,000 downloads a day. I mean, maybe it's the time of year, it's, you know, it's, I don't know, more more time indoors. It's can be, I mean, you know, winter can be a difficult time for some people.
And he can't get out and stuff like that. And I saw, plus there was the whole What was it last year? Yeah, I don't know. I can't really given it a reason for it.
Well, anyway, so what I had to do is either accept it, and a lot of people were like, well, complaining, they were asking where the recordings have gone, where's the 10 hours gone. So what I did in the end is put together recordings with me talking in the background, affirmations, positive affirmations, counting down talking slowly, things like that. And that lasts for 10 hours.
So I've done that. And I'm going to be revamping that in the next few months. So I'm going to be adding and making some different variations.
Because I don't like to rest on me laurels. I've got no idea what a laurel is, but I don't like resting on it. It sounds prickly.
Is it like a I don't know, a laurel sounds like it'd be you know, those, those green leaves are very prickly and they prick your fingers and stuff. Holly? Yeah, Holly. Or is it the Ivy? Which is the Holly? Which is the Ivy? The Holly and the Ivy.
La la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la I don't know which one is.
And then I deleted all of recently I deleted all the long recordings because I just can't allow myself to learn from my mistakes, have to keep making them now I'm not even sure why I did it this time I can't remember I think it was I have occasional brain farts and again it oversharing oversharing but the thing is I overshare but I also lie a hell of a lot you know not not lie lie but make stuff up so there's not want to talk about the stats and I'm not talking about stats here but I'm
just saying I want to talk about some things if I talk about my nan or if I talk about Andre or talk about things that are kind of important to me which isn't much to be fair probably just this and my listeners of course because without you they'd be no me which is a bit dramatic that's very dramatic isn't it oh thanks for that responsibility JJ brilliant so we have to listen just so you that you're okay no not at all I'm okay anyway I should hear some of the things that people have written in
reviews about me someone put down I used to like his podcast not now that was it it's like okay and in someone else wrote I found myself worrying about him it's like really I'm not that bad I'm not sitting here in self-pity every time I make a recording am I seriously because I would stop if I was I'm not here to depress people and when I'm not in a great space I generally don't make recordings anyway you know I try and keep away from I try and keep away from everything including the the database where
I can make changes and delete things I try and stand back I mean sure if I was like that all the time no one would listen would they and maybe I had a few recordings like that and I didn't realize how I was coming across lack of self-awareness I guess but yes you know I'm a human in it I'm a human being I can help it I have human emotions sometimes I have a few emotions occasionally but you know this just just I don't know I think when it comes to writing reviews and I think
it's not just podcasts it's not just it seems to be anything whether it's what is it on on the internet where people leave reviews on hotel websites and you know just basic services that are being offered or the amount of negative reviews generally seems to outweigh the positive and I don't think it's because well sometimes it will be you know but I should finish your sentence really before I say that I don't think it's because the product isn't necessarily bad although sometimes it will be you know someone might give a really bad review to a
particular product let's say a washing machine that lots of people are complaining about because they thought it was a dishwasher or something I don't know it's not ironing me clothes it's I don't know whatever and if enough people complain about the door getting stuck or the the the the spin not properly you know spin I don't know much about washing machines but let's say the clothes are coming out soggy wet and it's a new washing machine and like 40 50 people have kind of said the same thing then I'm not going to buy the washing
machine.
Now to be honest I don't need a washing machine I've done a while I was looking at reviews for them I guess just we all need a hobby don't we but it seems like forgetting the obvious like oh yeah I think that's that's a good thing that people are letting us know especially when it comes to electrical equipment or something that's like quite costly like a washing machine it's not a cheap thing to purchase is this my washing machine I think it was 350 pound when I bought it seven years ago so I'm pretty sure
there be a lot more expensive these days I want to find out now Curry's I got it from Curry's Curry's Oh washing machines that weird first thing that came up come on washing machines live longer with cow gone I'm not affected by adverts where is it washing machines appliances are they called white white goods or is that kitchen only laptops washing oh there we go there we go oh no that's a bit high wasn't it hmm it's so the first one that comes up is 399 pound so yeah it's 50 quid more but then there's
a saving of 50 quid which means it would have been it would have been more than 401 pound what I mean 450 pound which is more than 401 I don't know I personally looked for one of the best washing machines because I figured I didn't wanna well I had a bit of a bad experience with a washing machine gather around everyone I'm gonna tell you a story it doesn't end well and luckily I kept it out of the papers now it wasn't anything I when I moved in there one of the neighbors told me I
made friends with one of my local neighbors and then he was friends with someone else and he my friend said oh what's his name's got a washing machine you can have he's getting a new washing machine do you want his I said okay we carried it now I had to lay down for about three hours afterwards because it was one of the heaviest things I've ever carried and that was two of us I mean it's I like to pretend it's not just the way it's because people do that it's not just a way it's just
really awkward to carry it's a shape of it it's not the weight yes the yeah shape of it it's also the weight because if it was made of foam you wouldn't be making a fuss would you if it weighed this if it's way the same as a feather or a pillow and it was still the same shape in the same size you wouldn't make you wouldn't be bothered it's definitely a weight issue so okay I've calmed down now I got it upstairs and it didn't work complete waste of time energy he didn't I didn't even
give him any money for it just you know I feel so I'll go get me some beers or something like that I just I thought you know what I can't go down that road of buying secondhand crap or getting hand downs even if it's the best will in the world because a lot of people and it's hard to know who's who doesn't give decent things away you're basically giving away because it's saving them having to get a skip you know to come into or someone to come and collect it you're basically doing them a favor
by taking this bit of rubbish away now some people do give good stuff away it's kind of hard to distinguish now I feel if it's something like a sofa or if it's that you can test you or even you know you like a bookcase or chair you can sit in the chair okay yeah and if it's not got too many stains on it and it's okay cool but something electrical something as important as a washing machine because to me firstly it's important that it works properly because I've had to deal with floods before when I've
been in a flat and it's from both ends from my me flooding someone else downstairs and from someone else I know yeah I'm being flooded from someone else upstairs so I've been on both ends a few times so I don't want to be in a situation again especially is the last time I was in a situation with like a flooding was the shower in my room so I had an ensuite shower in this room that I was renting it started leaking through the ceiling below onto my neighbor now I was in a shower with my
new girlfriend and we were get we were enjoying each other's company and we were about to move to the bed to discuss political issues you know knock on the door so I'm bent over like okay I've get up like who is it couldn't answer the door because I had my political clothes on I like to yeah what do you want and she didn't answer because her mouth was full because she was eating biscuits she loved Jaffa cakes although Jaffa cakes are not really biscuits are they but they're not cakes we used to have a competition
to see how many Jaffa cakes we fit in our mouths so her mouth was full when the door went I could I've been eating Jaffa cakes since I was about like I don't know six or seven and I know how to melt them I'm not a blowtorch or anything like that but I know I kind of know my way around them I can talk with a Jaffa cake in my mouth it's almost like it becomes part of my tongue and Jaffa cakes are one of my favorite things not a biscuit not a cake it's amazing
so I could say yeah who is it okay it wasn't a but it wasn't a very clear speech but it was still audible I think it was still because the lady downstairs says basically water was pouring into her bed from my ceiling and she wanted to see if it was coming from my room or the room next to it I said well you're not coming in I'm a bit busy at the moment and she said well you need to do something I said okay I said well the showers turned off now and I'll come down
just let me give you a few minutes I said to get dressed and I'll come down and she said are you discussing politics I said yeah she said okay I said sorry for interrupting yeah I don't think she was if anything I think she could hear because we're in the shower we're very we're going at it really you know she was talking about how money should be put into the welfare system and I was kind of saying yes it's true but we also need to start looking at the NHS I mean some would argue it's
the same thing but hers was more to do with you know council houses and things like that and NHS is more to do with for everybody you know with the health service and we weren't arguing I mean we both agreed of each other I mean they're both just hugely important so I guess in the with the bath because the bathroom echoes and it distorts doesn't it so I was saying to her you know the NHS lost lots of different nurses and we need to be prepared because this is 10 years ago what if there is
some kind of pandemic or something we need to we need to have lots of people trained to be ready we need more nurses and more doctors not making cuts because this was during the austerity years and she was saying yeah but the money needs to go to people we need to build more houses for people because all the council houses loads are being sold since since the 80s and 1980s and they haven't been replaced they've not built new houses to replace the council properties that were available and what the younger people gonna do in the
future and that's what we're saying but it sounded like it's like it's weird isn't it how the distortion from the...
I'm sorry very childish I'll do it again I was going I was saying I can't believe I'm doing this again I thought I'd never do this again and she was saying if you're finished yet can you hurry up I need to go to the toilet so yeah so yeah I really don't didn't want that with the washing machine that's what I'm going with how did I get there from the washing machine so I gave it back to him I said you stick that up you you can keep that I said and I bought a washing
machine and it was it's pretty much the last of my money really so I didn't I was getting a bit short I managed to get a carpet a bed the three things I pretty much purchased when I moved in it was the bed that was the first thing and the washing machine cooker and fridge freezer yeah so the three things for the kitchen washing machine oven fridge freezer then the double bed and then after that a few weeks later the carpet and that was that was everything I still have a tiny little telly that wasn't
big enough really to see I couldn't see it very well had it on the wall but I could see it I knew where it was but you know I like with subtitles I couldn't read subtitles or even the menu on it on a TV put the menu up I couldn't read or what was on it and so you know I didn't change that for years I just kept it for years just just put up with it I just ended up getting closer and closer to it I don't mean emotionally yeah we got married last June
so I got a washing machine and the reason why it's so important is to me is it means I don't have to travel to Laundrette which is all the way in town which is I think what 12 miles or something I don't know it's you know it's it's it's a three-hour walk it's probably 40 minutes on the bus but it's the time it's getting there so you know you said it's two hours journey there and back two hours including waiting for the bus and then walking home so yes two hours travel and then another two
hours in there that's if the if the things free because you know I could ask someone they do I used to get my washing done for me by the lady that worked in there but I used to live across the road so it's easy I can't do that now I can't come back in five hours no I need to I can't I need to do the washing now and with the Laundrettes I've been using Laundrettes since I was 16 and I didn't enjoy it then I've had a couple of interesting experiences in the Laundrette but
outside of that never really enjoyed it when I moved to London not straight away but probably about 1991 onwards I used to sometimes I'd go and do it myself but I got to know the lady in there and she did my washing for me she'd you know she did it service wash and she was doing my laundry for about ten years but she wasn't always in there you know she wasn't in there seven days a week so sometimes I'd end up having to do the washing myself and at times I've lived somewhere where there was
a washing machine and then I moved away from London and I man back to the Laundrette again and then yeah it's just all the way through from 2001 until 2005 I was using the Laundrette and in 2005 I had a washing machine in the house that I lived in in the Buddhist community until 2007 and then 2007 December or November I moved to here or to this town and it was a washing machine I could use but wouldn't let me use a tumble dryer and it's quite difficult to wash my clothes because in the in
Laundrette they dry your clothes for you don't they it's part of the service they don't give it to you wet and so that was a bit you know and there's there was like a clothes rack on the radiator which was in a separate room near where my bedroom was and it was fine if I could put the clothes rack and another and then another clothes rack in front of it and it would just would dry the clothes or I put it outside to hang it up in the summer fine but then she'd put stuff in
front of the radiator almost like purposefully like a big big chair so I couldn't put my stuff my clothes in front of the radiator and there's the only radiator to do it there's no other radiators that I could do it with and yeah he's just I think she maybe she just didn't like I don't think she liked people putting their washing up like that but in the winter mind you I think her attitude was go to Laundrette but she had a tumble dryer that was upstairs and she used to wait she's there's a thing in
this country I don't know if it's still available I think it's Economy 7 it used to be called so between the hours of I don't know like 12 midnight and 6 in the morning electricity is cheaper you know it was just just cost less to use so she'd have the tumble dryer shaking the building like 2 in the morning and I thought how did because I could hear it but it wasn't I could hear it but it wasn't too bad you know because I was downstairs I used to think because they all lived up there
the daughter and the man and a woman who lived at my landlady and landlord they lived they slept up there how could they sleep through that it was so shaky and no one ever said anything and then one day I spoke to a daughter and her daughter was moaning about it a stupid tumble dryer always on nearly every night shaking me to sleep vibrating my bed I didn't say anything but I'm just okay so it's yeah that was weird and then then I moved here I didn't move here that I moved to two other places
before I moved here and I used to walk the Laundrette so it's literally just round the corner just round the corner up just up the road and it's the crossroad because I live very close proximity to each other when I went between there was it 2012 and 2015 so for three years or was it 2011 yeah it was 2011 2011 2015 I lived between I probably walk in about 15 minutes probably less than 15 minutes between the two places which made it quite easy to move I used to said carrier bags full of stuff it
wasn't easy actually it took ages I should just got a taxi I don't know why but anyway years ago I can't remember what happened not really and I had the Laundrette sometimes I just wash clothes in the sink because I didn't want to go out but then I moved here and it was an opportunity for the first real for the first time never had my own washing machine before it's really and I didn't have anywhere to put my clothes really so this is the first time probably since I was living in London because there was
a time when I could use there was a washing machine with a tumble dryer so I could do both at the same time so that was okay but the only only issue with that was finding a time when no one else was using it but now I was going to say I can use it whenever I want but the fact is I don't because what I do I don't want to use it at night I don't want to disturb my neighbors because you know this is a point where a washing machine when it when it
gets all excited isn't there that bit near the end where it's just it's coming to its climax as it were when it's coming to its final finale and it starts yelling yes yeah and you know that the washing machine is nearly finished but that's not fair for someone that's trying to sleep don't you think so so yeah it's sort of washing machines here I also got a very very high energy level one as well so like the highest energy level rated that's not I don't care about saving money you know like I was just thinking
okay let's get the most the best washing machine for the environment that I can do and I did so I paid an extra bit more blimey they've got washing machines there for less than 200 pound Wow no wonder my washing well I have to be careful I don't want to say out loud but no wonder it's lasted me so well because I never use it now because it's a good one there are no shortcuts in life I learned that many years ago there are no shortcuts in life and I've seen a few people try to
do shortcuts you know oh man I remember I've got a couple of examples for you and in the comedy club there was I don't know what they were was it there was something and it caused a hell of a mess I really caused a mess and it was like a shortcut I can't not yeah it was something like just it caused more problems in it then it would be worth to have actually got it done right the first time then at the Buddhist Center not there's one here but they got this bloke to come in
and they liked him so they gave him a job to refurbish upstairs because it was being they were downstairs and the place was being it was offices or something and they they moved out so they the Buddhist Center took it over rented out so tried to convert it into some more shrine rooms and places to study and whatever well this bloke I guess didn't really know what he was doing and he put this I don't know if it was a heater or he put something in and he didn't know clear didn't know what he was
doing he didn't know the correct way to do it flooded the place like flooded like really badly flooded like huge amounts of damage money-wise and because it was negligence I don't even know if they got a payout I don't know so there's no shortcuts I mean there are shortcuts you know yeah so there are shortcuts but there's not it doesn't make sense yeah there's shortcuts to a place so you want to get to that place I know a shortcut yeah but I'm just thinking in life just generally because it's like buying cheap you can buy
a decent pair of shoes pay more for them and they're just I mean this isn't me this isn't what I do I'm just saying this is what I've been told but I know people have had shoes and had boots they've had for six seven years but if you buy a cheap pair it might last you a year and they'll wear out I tend to buy cheap you know when it comes to shoes I like special offers I do I like comfort but I'm not I'm the least fashionable person on the planet really you can you
could put me you could put the most expensive clothes on me and I'd still look frumpy and just you know I don't know what the word is but I wouldn't look smart I don't look smart I just never look smart for some reason I don't have I'm not saying I've never looked smart I'm sure like weddings and funerals and job interviews I probably do a little bit better than normal times those are the only times I would wear a suit but although I can't wear my suit I've grown out of my suit now well if
I try and put the jacket of my suit on I feel like the in-between version of oh what was his name Oh dr.
banner and the Hulk you know that that middle bit where he's changing that's it that's where I am when I try and put that top on that that jacket I'm just too big for it it's weird I used to fit into that thing I think it's shrunk someone's been shrinking my clothes especially my around the belly area there's no way I'm as big as it that no and those scales I bought some scales a while back only cheap ones but proper not not digital scales by the old-fashioned proper swirly well you know the ones that
it's got an arrow and stuff and and you have to adjust them you or you can adjust them you're not proper original scales they're actually they're actually cheaper than the electrical ones it lies to me why why does the scales feel the need to lie to me it doesn't know me that's why it's like get to know me first then lie but just lying making out that I put weight on why would you say that I know that I've lost weight I feel slimmer than I did before I do I feel less I mean I'd
lost four kilos in August I didn't lose four kilos in August but since the last time I'd weighed myself and in August the end of August I weighed myself admittedly I hadn't weighed myself for probably two years so who knows how long it took to lose that you so it took two years didn't it not necessarily I might put weight on and then lost it well the weight started to go up and I blame it on the scales I do I mean a hundred I'm only a hundred kilos well I think I'm under I'm pretty
bad 90 I don't feel above 98 kilos I was 96 kilos that's when I was excited doesn't take much you should have heard me I was in the bathroom was it if you could hear me from the bathroom and I was shouting out yeah I've lost four kilos I've lost four kilos I'm only 96 kilos now I'm slimmer I'm fitter I'm healthier that's what I was in the bathroom all you would have heard is oh see it's weird it's really stabs too loud wasn't it I'm sorry I do put it like I'm gonna whisper now
so if anyone if that woke anyone up they'll be thinking how can I have woken up he's whispering oh the bathroom honestly it distorts what you're saying dadada I still didn't get around to telling you about all the podcast stuff that I've got I'll read it out to you before I go monthly expenses I've got it all on the wall but trying to keep a track of everything Spreaker 120 euros this is just this is monthly I'll put it down in the actual the way that I pay for it so I've not got it all
down in pounds because it's conversion and stuff and plus the conversion changes so if someone's costing me a hundred pounds a month it's gonna be a hundred pounds next month it's gonna be a hundred pounds the month after unless they increase the cost but if something's $29 this month next month it might be so $29 in my money you see what I mean so if I if I start putting out go where it's $29 that's 23 pounds or 22 pounds but next month it might be 23 pounds the month next month might be 21 pound
40 that's why I don't bother I just leave it in the currency that they're charging me in that made sense to me Spreaker as the podcast in host is 120 euros a month Shopify which is a which hosts by website $29 story blocks which is something that it's a new thing I've got is I'm gonna be making some videos that won't have my face and I'll actually be with background beautiful videos you know with scenic stuff and music and with my voice some sort of maybe some older recordings that not old but you know the
last few years and put together just find the best ones and put those onto YouTube and then so 65 pounds a month then I've got the I've got the mobile internet that's on my phone I use the internet solely to upload I use it to upload podcasts and that's 28 pounds a month but it's also it's my phone so I can make phone calls and you know Texas and stuff like that which I don't use really much so that's 28 pounds a month I've got my broadband which is mobile broadband which got nothing to do
with a phone it's a little box that basically is broadband and it's faster than my own broadband and I can take it anywhere in the country just take it with me so I could take it into a coffee shop without having to log in to someone else's broadband which makes my my computer if I take if I was gonna take my laptop into Greg's or something and sit down there then instead of logging into their Wi-Fi I don't even have to have Wi-Fi you know I use my own Wi-Fi so it's not no one can
get into it that's 27 pounds a month I use both that and the mobile internet to upload my recordings because when I up because there's quite a few to upload it would take such a long time so I try and do is I use the phone I use the iPad and I use the desktop sometimes I use two phones I've got an old mobile as well so I use two phones and that's logged into the into the internet so instead of being instead of spending an hour and a half uploading I can sometimes get it
done in maybe half an hour 40 minutes just take just saves time and I've got that's 27 pounds a month it's unlimited so they're both of those are unlimited broadband and the mobile broadband is fast and the the the one that's on my phone it's faster than my own broadband that I've had for a while for a few years yeah I've had it since 2015 the mobile broadband it's not the in not the I've got calling different things it's the broadband so the mobile internet is on the phone the mobile broadband is the separate thing
27 pounds a month but I can operate for five things on it at the same time now I've got skyboard band in my flat which I can only do one thing on but I'm on a contract so I can't get out of it so I'm stuck with them for a while so I use that for streaming TV you know the internet stuff I use it for the internet for research and also sometimes you know when I'm uploading as well so I can use that as well so I can use all three of the internets to
upload stuff to upload recordings because you know some of them are 10 hours long some of the files and videos video files of very large so I kind of use all three so that's 33 pound 50 a month I've got the iCloud storage which is 7 pound 99 a month for 2 terabytes and that's the highest they go Google's the same Google storage 2 terabytes 2 terabytes isn't a lot I don't know why they don't offer higher higher plans so that's 7.
99 a month but I do use it all the time so it's it's very handy that's where the recordings are stored that I upload to the internet from because I use the iPhone and the iPad and I've also got I can you can open up the iCloud onto a desktop as well and download but I have to download the recordings with iPad and the iPhone I can send them directly then I've got otter AI transcription which transcribes my recordings now that's something I was doing a while ago and I'm going to be doing again that's
1542 a month and I've got or phonic or a the quality of the recording once I've made it so it turns the raw file into a much better quality sound and that's $99 a month then I've got charitable which is something that I can use to for statistics of the podcasts also to help promote the podcasts to share and all kinds there's loads of things you can do with it so that's $50 a month and I've got repurpose.
io which is a way to also set up automatic sharing of podcasts and videos and it's again it's quite a new thing that I've started to use and that's $25 a month so as you can see there's quite a few things there I'm probably one might be getting I kind of want to just get rid of all of them to be a to be honest a little bit but I'm keeping going forward I'm sticking to the plan and if I get the Adobe suite the cloud CC which is the video software editing software audio editing
software the Photoshop and all that stuff After Effects all the things that I need to learn to use if I'm going to have it that's another be about another 90 99 pound a month so that's another thing that will be added to it but I'm not thinking about right now I'm not thinking about just this moment I'm thinking about the future and you know part of the plan for me is to move on you know to go and live somewhere either travel or go and live somewhere nice and have a nice lifestyle but at the
same time do this that has you know earn a living doing this be a maybe do what do they call it oh that's not technical nomad it's something like that basically people that work from the internet you know they they work from home you can work from anywhere in the world the only real thing is that the only the most important thing would be to be able to make recordings and in a quiet environment but then in the future maybe I can rent recording studio space if I'm in a place where it's not hugely expensive
because obviously if I if I did it here I couldn't afford to do that I couldn't afford to do that even if I was earning loads and loads and loads of money because it's really expensive studio recording studio space is very expensive you know hundreds of pounds a day so yeah it would be and also it's I don't know it'd be nice to have something set up there's always ways around it but yeah we'll see I don't know how this is going to progress and what's what's going to happen in the future of course none
of us do really do however I'm trying to learn all this new stuff trying to I'm watching loads of YouTube videos trying to sort of figure out how to do things I started promoting my podcast and my videos on YouTube using Facebook started to promote them on YouTube although that hasn't really come to anything so far but the YouTube video it's kind of surprised me the on Facebook because I promoted it where is it hilarious because I promoted it I've had yeah uploaded a video on the 1st of November now okay bear in mind that
my numbers are tiny on YouTube like really really small like smaller than you're imagining it's really tiny now that the numbers are very small and you know I'll give an example the highest number I can see on that page other than that one I was talking about was from the 24th of October it's 87 views that was the 24th of October and so 24 5 6 7 8 9 10 9 12 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 it's not that long it's only eight days isn't it that's not that bad really is it
thinking about it anyway but then I also uploaded one on the 2nd of October it's got 20 views so you know it gives you an idea I guess anyway I've released one it's a deep sleep whisper so they are more popular than other stuff that I do and yeah released it on the 1st of November I promoted it but I got 160 views of that and that's the highest now I've only got one higher than that since I've been started to upload videos again back in July so I've got 18th of August 172 but you
know September October November you know it's just like two and a half months ago so I guess promoting does does work and I've increased my I can't put forward that I'm not bragging because it's not bragging because it's very low numbers so it's very important that you know that but any little helps and I'm now up to 661 subscribers I know it's not it's not world-changing but I've been playing around been playing around with it too much and I think people have got a bit you know I've been uploading lots of recordings from Spreaker and
people stop listening then people do listen like so anyway the know what's it wait a minute I've got I'm just gonna go back so on this one it's my Jason Newland hypnotist page so see page so what I've done is I've been uploading videos and playing around with the this the new things I've been using charitable and repurpose and I managed to figure it out it took ages hours in fact and it's no weird my video says I've got video says your videos muted in certain countries where Meta does not have music rights it's on
Facebook there's no music it's just me talking there's no music how weird anyway so I've been playing around with that and eventually I managed to get it going but if I go to the Ad Center the advert Center in the last few days I've got I've got how many adverts and this is just they're promoting but boost this post basically that's what it's called so I've been boosting some posts I've got one two three four five six seven seven okay yeah so what seven pod so it's basically the first one is number 460 relaxing hands
deep sleep whisper that was a video so I boosted that I think that's the one I was just talking about over 160 then the rest are mainly podcasts so I put a postcard yeah podcast message for let me boil you sleep podcast overall and I did it from Spotify saying you know over 900 episodes and you know check it out then I got another one for number 900 916 let me boil you sleep 10 hours long so I did that one and then I got 10 hours long number hundred nine hundred and seventeen Let Me
Bore You To Sleep that was a third of November I shared I boosted that one and then I've got I don't know what that one is if I'm honest check out latest Let Me Bore You To Sleep I don't even know what it is I fix I'm playing around of it I think I was I think that's kind of a pointless one and then I've got another one which is promoting my Facebook page the relax that the Jason Newland hypnotist Facebook page and then lastly is the the video oh yeah number 917 I repeat let
me boil you sleep so I've it's in review that one so it's not being accepted yet so I'm basically invested a pound a day per boost and this this is from only from a couple of days ago I think it's the first or was the second I started this the first probably and in that time we doing why is it not coming up how strange okay I've got it I've got I've reached nine thousand four hundred and ten people on Facebook between all of them had 438 clicks links that clicked to listen to the podcast
or watch the video post engagement 452 so a few people liked and you know stuff like that as well so out of all of it the main one all those two main ones let's have a look okay so the main one was the over 900 podcast episodes first so basically just promoting my Spotify version of the let me boil you sleep podcast because on lots of different places I thought I'd try and you know just publicize it on there four thousand five hundred fifty eight people reached that was since the first of November so it's
the fourth today hundred and twelve clicks now I was pretty pleased with that and then I mean I don't know how many those subscribed I really don't know but then the because it wasn't to a specific podcast episode just to the podcast itself and the second most popular was it was the same day and it was the number 460 relaxing hands deep sleep whisper video on YouTube I reached so far two thousand eight hundred and ninety two people and I've had 306 link clicks now obviously not all of those people watch the video because I've
got a hundred and sixty views but I had a lot more link clicks than for the other one so all the others are pretty small amounts the 916 let me boil you sleep 1783 reach 16 clicks 917 let me boil you sleep podcast 182 reached two clicks so you know it's not a lot going on with some of them but then you know I've aimed only at the USA at the moment the reason for that is because I wanted to try and stick to just one place to start with because it's kind of an experiment
I've done it before I've done it many times before in the past I was doing this 14 years ago but it's I'm I'm kind of experimenting I'm being a bit more I guess I'm studying it trying to study it trying to figure out the best way to do it yeah that's pretty much it trying to make it work and I think as far as the video goes it's worked the relaxing hands deep sleep whisper video on YouTube although a hundred and sixty is I don't think many people are gonna jump up and down with excitement
over that I did but you know doesn't take much for me honestly the only thing that gets me more excited is if I get a KitKat and I find one of the one of the fingers is just all chocolate no biscuit just full chocolate I get so excited that which is weird because you could just buy chocolate on you it's just something special there is something really special about that so yeah I'm just like testing now if I could get each of my videos to have you know those kinds of figures and to keep growing
and that's just in what one November the first second third three days four five six seven so I've got it booked for a week I can stop at any time Bob you know it's so the way it's going hopefully I'll have about 300 views of that video before the adverts finished if I can start getting 300 video views for my videos then it will it'll motivate me a little bit more because you know when it's like I'm getting 44 views it's just embarrassing you know it's I say I say on videos oh yeah I've been
been doing this for 14 15 16 years and people look at my Facebook my YouTube page and like okay so how come you've only got seven views on your most popular video I can't really explain that I can but it's gonna take a long time unlike me to take ages to explain things I know so that's that's kind of what I've been up to there's so much to tell you there's gone really quite engulfed in it all but it's yeah a little bit overwhelming there's a lot to learn I'm a bit of a bit of
a learning curve as you might say and but I know the more you use something the easier it becomes and the video software that I've been using on my iPad I really struggled with it really struggled and now I'm starting to notice things I can do just keep using something you start to notice things you can do that you didn't know you could do before I've not learnt it from watching a tutorial or anything like that it's just like presented itself to me so I'm thinking that maybe not right now and maybe not even in
the next week or so but once I've once I've really kind of kind of mastered these new things I'm doing and all this and started to keep track of it I've got some books I want to keep keep notes and everything then I can start looking at learning the new software for uploading and for video editing and stuff in the meantime I'm going to be making some videos using it's luminosity luminosity and I could tell you I'm on it now am I what is it called LumaFusion so it's a software that I use LumaFusion it's
good it's basic but it's good it does the job but it doesn't hasn't got many bells and whistles and stuff which would be annoying anyway wouldn't it keep hearing bells and whistles but yeah it's good it does the trick still took me it's taken me months to really kind of get comfortable with it so what I'm going to do is I'm going to start learning to use the other software the Adobe basically everything on Adobe I'm going to try and sort of learn over time just use every day and just get to get to learn
it it might maybe take years before I really become competent with the whole thing but as long as I can get I could become competent with the video and the audio software editing tools become competent enough to do what is necessary and then I probably will want to do more because I want to try and improve things you know with the videos of there's so many things I see on YouTube and I think oh I'd like to be able to do that I'm not talking about bungee jumping or balancing eggs on my nose or things
like that I'm just you know like how to just even something this is pretty very simple but to show your laptop or to show your computer screen and what you're doing on your computer screen while is on the big picture of the video while is a little picture of you talking or me talking you know I don't know how to do that stuff and I kind of would like to learn because I think it'd be fun just to be good and to just get the best quality but what I'm gonna be doing I'm gonna be
doing is going back looking through to find the the best audios that I've done over the last few years maybe try and improve the quality of the sound if I can and then make some videos with using the Storyblocks website and also using their background music it's all copyright free it's all part of the the money that you pay and that I pay for it and I can use they've got like a million video clips and stuff I've done it before so the first time but it's not the first time I've done it it's not
the first time I've used them either it's weird in it wonder what happened to those videos I've actually had videos on YouTube that were decent like lots of like you know scenery and birds flying and nice background sounds and just my voice being boring in the background like relax and let go all that stuff but then you got underneath and like scenes of the ocean maybe whales jumping up and pooing or whatever the whales do it's like you know so I'm gonna do some of those I'm gonna go through I reckon I should have about
at least 50 maybe even a hundred videos that I can make from audios that I've got you know that I've had over the years over the last three years four years and I'm not just gonna make them and upload one after another I won't upload more than one a day it's a very for the very most but maybe try and just see how that goes and then maybe maybe do that rather than the videoing myself but then I think when I do these recordings do the let me boil to sleep I will video myself like
doing it because it's just more personal I think but maybe some of the other stuff that I do in the future I can do with videos with proper graphics but well yeah some graphics I quite like those like the kaleidoscope kind of graphics so I'm looking to improve what I do not just videos I'm not going to be focusing just on videos the podcasts have to come first I mean it's the video it's like a different audience YouTube compared to podcasting it's always been like a separate audience I know there's a crossover some people you
know some people watch them on YouTube some people will do both listen to me on Spotify or on Apple podcasts and then they'll you know think I have to have to see if this person what this bloke really looks like see if he really does look like an albino gorilla and then you look oh my goodness oh oh oh and then like and then you leave YouTube you cancel your internet connection and you go and live in a in a hut in the middle of a forest never to return but you know not everyone's gonna
be affected that way not everybody so yeah so that's all part of the plan I've got plans I've got plans man why is it's Friday it's Friday I should be watching TV I should be out having fun I should have a social life which I don't but the next thing other than having a social life is watching television that's the next thing now I'm not even watching television on a Friday night I'm doing this what's the next thing other than watching television reading probably listening to radio perhaps and when I say watching television I don't
mean television I include streaming movies or streaming Netflix or Amazon Prime or Disney Plus or whatever you know there's lots of Hulu we don't have Hulu here you know I mean that's what I class it to anything that I watch on television I also include YouTube as well on that which is probably at least 55 60% of my television or viewing would be YouTube these days but at least when I'm doing that I'm I'm learning because a lot of these tutorials that's how I find out about new stuff new AI software you know it's all
getting automated these days things are really moving along quite quickly it's it's both exciting but a little bit worrying at the same time almost I'll be made redundant you know just just put in to the AI yeah I want to relax and just it'll just produce a relaxation script and then have a voice because they've got voices now and then they definitely choose American English soft-spoken slow-speaking fast-speaking female male I guess that will also be various you know other whatever in the future it's a bit it's all you know yeah it's like oh but need
me oh never mind never mind if I'm mad but I mean I hope there's at least five years left I've been out to do this I mean you know my in my mind I want to do this for the rest of my life I want to be doing this when I'm 95 yeah just I do that's what I want to be doing probably not any of the other stuff probably just this you know and this isn't I mean I don't know I still haven't I still haven't added up the stats from their various different podcasts
this isn't the most popular podcast out of all the ones I do but I share this podcast it you know share the recordings to the other podcasts so if I had to you know choose just one podcast to continue with it would be this you know but I'm not in that situation so it's good I mean the deep sleep whisper ones are way more way more popular than these ones so if I did a deep sleep whisper every day I would yeah the growth would be exponential I imagine because they are popular and I really
should do one every day it's just not always easy it's because of background sound and stuff but I'll maybe try and give it more of a go but I was looking at I was looking at followers and subscribers and stuff on Apple and they're wrong they've got it all wrong because according to them that their stats are different from my stats I know that Apple's Apple podcasts isn't the only place that people listen to me but they are the majority it's like over 90% of the people that listen to me listen on Apple podcasts apparently
but according to them I haven't had as many views or as many listens as I know I have had because Spreaker does everything there's there's a sort of I don't know like a professional organization make sure that it's all correlated correctly I'm not sure if that's the correct wording so it has to be proper is is this there's laws or whatever to do with it broadcasting laws and also because the advertising that has to be correct because they're they're paying out or they're charging companies and you know all that stuff so it has to be
the statistics has to be precise but with the Amazon with the Apple podcast thing that you know the back the back door if you go in the back door you can have a the back door you know but you can see kind of for your own podcast what's what and it's good for various things but you know it's it's actually I think he was saying but all time for all time my most popular podcast I'd had let me look I want to tell you wait wait two seconds I want to show it to you right
open new window okay fair enough so this this is just analytics okay from Apple podcast analytics according to this all right according to this place for the hypnosis of sleeping deeply which is my most popular podcast okay I'll give you both the Spreaker stats and the actual you know them of course I said I'm in different places I'm not just one place so it's not representative of that anyway but what on earth what's going on that's very strange okay got it according to this all time forever and ever and ever the last three years nearly
four years I've had 251,316 plays of that podcast 251,316 okay that's that's the last four years Spreaker 3,138,317 little bit of difference according to this to let me boy to sleep podcast this is just the podcast on its own if you add them all up because it's shared on the others it'd be three times this amount anyway but according to Apple podcasts to them on their on their platform I've had the amount plays I've had in four years is 139,593 now on Spreaker 585,813 so you see what I mean it's it's the second most popular
out of our podcasts on not on Spreaker but on Apple podcasts is a deep sleep whisper all time 153,718 so it's 153,718 on Spreaker 1,032,742 and wow so this is well what on earth I just realized something that's weird oh no that's okay hypnosis of stress and anxiety 224,751 this is on Apple on Spreaker it is 3,172,016 see I know I want lots of different one loads of different podcast hosts Spotify Stitcher you name it low everyone pretty much but it doesn't if I look at the stats so hypnosis for stress and anxiety if I
look at the strats and I actually go okay customize and I go back I go back to November 2018 no it doesn't go back that far doesn't go back goes back to November 2020 it's still two million seven hundred seventy two thousand and fifteen so that's the last two years two million seven hundred and seventy two thousand yeah on Apple podcast it says I've had two hundred and twenty four thousand in four years Wow no wonder my stats have been bad look at this this is ridiculous I've lost Oh blimey I thought I had a
really bad day today but it's November of course it's very low because it's only the 4th of November Wow I got worried then for a minute so yeah October November December January those were the best months for that podcast and I went down February then it's gone up again it's it changes it just changes I didn't get too worried about it there's no point today has been a slow day all round only one thousand nine hundred and seven downloads on that podcast altogether today 7,000 downloads and it's nearly 10 o'clock so I'm probably running yeah
I might reach 10,000 as it is if I didn't upload anything now probably eight and a half nine thousand maybe ten which is it's the minimum for a day that I will accept although sometimes I do get less so in blimey the 22nd of October 5403 Wow the 15th of October 4835 what was going on in my world for me to have such low stats yeah the 26th of October seventeen and a half thousand did I not produce much stuff in October I can't remember 15th of October that's really bad I wasn't even away was
I was I I don't know the thing is October the stats it wasn't that bad overall last month last not 12 months last month I had 328,252 downloads so it's not like even though some of the days were really low 4,800 for one day but then all together 31 days 328,000 so it's weird isn't it the way it works out like the way it sort of goes from some days like every day in a row it's like 14 15 16 thousand and then other days I have a few when it's like just over 10,000 very
strange honestly I don't I don't get it I don't understand I don't don't understand don't understand yeah it's very slow everywhere today every podcast that I've got has got less today than yesterday the day before the day before today for some reason it's been very quiet a Sunday is usually quiet Saturday quite often is quiet but then on the most popular podcast I got hypnosis for sleeping deeply three million one hundred thirty eight thousand so that that one and last month just on that podcast I got a hundred three thousand four hundred sixty four that's
just on one podcast but the best day six thousand and fifty nine downloads that's just on the one podcast the worst day though so the best day was a 26 October worst days 22nd seven hundred and seventy that must have been a Sunday must have been a Sunday surely so look Sunday okay so what day was it 22nd of October 22nd of October it was a Saturday yeah Saturdays and Sundays something must have happened on the 22nd October so I'm wondering 22nd October let's have a look at this if it was all around so 22nd
of October 22nd back 22nd yeah 5403 which is just immensely immensely bad not really sure why 500 and sometimes 11 million or together 11 million 167 thousand 763 so all my podcasts in the last four years over 11 million it's not bad is it considering I have no education and only three teeth left so it's really it can be quite easy to sort of have a day like that and think oh and have short-termism you know have a short to be a bit like society is at the moment everyone sort of it's all about right
now not thinking about in a few years so you know remembering that things will improve it's very like oh right this second which is you know it's a mindfulness practice in itself but you know in times like that when it's been laughing oh I said nobody likes me anymore nobody's gonna listen and I'm thinking oh no and then a couple of days later it's like three times the amount it's the main thing really is that I think over a two-year period that you're in a higher place than you were two years ago I think that's
kind of ultimately I mean if you think if I go to the stats probably not a good idea because it might not work I'm just I won't give you the stats I'll just let you know roughly so okay October November to November so if I've got November okay December November so if I go basically from November to October November two years ago to October now and it's a lot more you know if you go to let's say if we go if we start at January so January 2020 when is it yeah so it seems to
be okay so thank you for listening remember to be kind to yourself and I will speak to you tomorrow lots of love bye
