Hello and welcome. Hello! Welcome to jasonnewland.com My name's Jason Newland and this is Let Me Bully You to Sleep. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes.

Thank you for joining me on this wonderfully hot and humid day. Well actually it's the evening now, yes it is. So why is it weird noises? I'm still trying to get my head around how to record things.

It might sound weird that I've had this microphone and I had this new zoom thingy for, I don't know, five days. This it's, um, I don't know, I might need some decent headphones. I don't know, it just doesn't sound how I want it to sound.

That's all I can say really. And then when it's done it's not particularly loud, which in itself is a problem because then I have to increase the sound and it doesn't sound, I don't know, blah blah blah blah. And the other thing is I'm struggling to do a whisper recording because the whisper is coming out strange.

And also a bit of a bang. What's that noise? Bing, bing, you hear that? If I move my chair, listen to this. Oh it didn't work.

I'm touching the microphone now. Oh anyway, I'll figure it out. I will, I will figure it out I promise.

I promise you with every single atom in my bits I will do it. I will, I will, I will, I will. I will get it done.

It will be sorted. It will be wonderful. So what I've done today is I've been changing around the room.

Trying to make it sound a bit better. And I just have one bit for the studio equipment and then the other bits for computer work. And then another table over the other side for making videos.

So I've got the video set up. So I've got the video camera thing and the microphone. And for some reason I decided to make YouTube videos again, but not what I'm doing here.

I'm going to make separate videos, which might seem a bit, I don't know, is it a lot more work than is needed maybe? Maybe unnecessary? I don't know. However, I am just doing this. I've done the first one today.

It was a short relaxation hypnosis. And I've just, you know, I've just recorded it, edited it, and uploaded it. And I think it's like 10 minutes long.

About that, 9, 10, 11 minutes long. So my plan is to do one video a day. Some of them will be 10 minutes long.

Maybe there's occasional one will be 20 minutes. Perhaps I might even do an hour long one. But they're completely separate from the podcasts, different recordings completely.

So I guess maybe I can use YouTube as an advert for my podcasts. And perhaps if the YouTube channel gains some kind of momentum, I can use the podcasts to advertise the YouTube channel in it. But the good thing if I do this way, separate stuff, so you won't find when I've deleted the stuff and delete all my podcasts from YouTube as we speak.

So the only thing that will be on there is my original try and stay awake hypnosis challenge video that's still gets views now after 12 years or whatever. And the daily videos or whenever I upload one. So there'll only be two videos on YouTube when you listen to this recording.

If you listen to it on the 18th of July. But that's that's the plan. I don't really know why that's the plan.

But that does seem to be the plan. And I think I'm going to stick to it. I suppose if there's a particular recording that I like, I guess I could turn it into a podcast.

I don't know. I'm not I'm not putting anything off the shelf. You know, I'm not gonna say this is how it's gonna be.

And that's that forever and ever and ever. Amen. No, I'm saying this is kind of where I'm thinking at the moment.

Have YouTube separate. Maybe, maybe I might even stream I might even stream live broadcast to Instagram at the same time as recording it. And that'll be a separate thing.

So the good thing about that is then the whole video will be saved. But it just be a live stream and people will be able to watch it. You know, obviously, if they want to, if they want to.

So I'm just as we speak, I'm deleting all the old, all the podcasts I've been uploading the last few weeks, lost loads of subscribers doing this as well. I'll make up my mind one day. And I'll stick to it.

No, I won't. I might. I'm not sure.

Maybe. Maybe, baby, I'll have you. I don't know.

Perhaps I will. Perhaps I will. So if the sound quality isn't to your liking, please forgive me for my sins.

I am in the process of trying to fix everything. And any error or any issues with the sound is not the equipment. It's me not knowing how to use the equipment.

Okay. Thank you very much. As something that I did notice while I'm studying, trying to get.

Okay, not studying, researching on how to make things better. And one thing that I found out did. Whoops.

All right. One thing that I found out is the cables, the DLX, the DLX cables, you know, microphones, you might not. Yeah, I think everyone's seen a microphone at some point.

And you know, the lead that goes into the end of the microphone. That's I think, what they call a DLX cable. So you've got the male and the female part.

I think I might get it, I might have it wrong. But one is, I'm just thinking why it's called a male and female. One basically has got holes in it and the other one's got pricks or pins.

So I'm not sure which one's the male and the female. Hmm. So the way I've got this setup is I've got two leads, two XLR, LLR, XLR, RLX, XLR, isn't it? I think it's XLR not RLX.

Anyway, the leads that go from microphone into the sound system, the microphone sound system, PA system, whatever. So I've got a lead that goes from the microphone. And technically it goes into the Zoom LiveTrack L8.

But between the LiveTrack and the L8, between the between the microphone and the LiveTrack L8, I have a cloud lifter, which boosts the sound a bit, hopefully with, without needing to turn it up really loud on the actual system, which then causes white noise. So that going on, and then the microphone I've got is, what kind of microphone is it? I forget. I talked about it before anyway, a couple of days ago.

I've got the pop filter on the microphone now. And I've got these little, not condoms, these little things you stick on the head of it, on the nub, on the nub of the, the nub, on the, on the bell, not the bell end, on the, the end of the microphone you know you speak into, just that little bit at the top. I suppose if it was a, if it was a fireman, I guess that would be where their helmet would be.

And it goes, and it's kind of like it covers, covers it and stops the dust getting on. So I've got 100 of those to use. So that's, I don't know if it's any use, if it's going to be good.

I hope so. I hope so. I really do.

I really do hope so, yes. It's weird because when I move over here, it really sounds different to when I'm here. And when I'm over here, you can see, I'm literally inches away.

Inches. So like I go, Yeah, ma. Oh, yeah.

Oh, really? Yep. Yep. I wanted to say thank you to somebody, but I need to move my microphone, my phone away from the microphone because it cause, causes a little bit of disturbance.

I want to say thank you to John, who sent me a PayPal gift. Thank you, John. Just says thank you, Jason.

It says from John, but there's a different name on the actual PayPal account. So I'm guessing John used a friend's or partner's PayPal account to send me that. So thank you very much.

I do appreciate that. I don't get many PayPal gifts these days. I guess I don't ask for them.

I don't like really mention it much these days. But yes, it's nice. Lovely, lovely little surprise.

Thank you very much. So I'm wondering why I've got, I just realized that laptop is making some humming noise. So I'm hoping it's going to stop now.

It should now I've unplugged it. Yeah, it's made no difference. Oh, brilliant.

Brilliant. Oh, great. How wonderful.

Yeah, I've sort of maneuvered the tables around. So I've got a table here and a table there. I'm kind of in between both the tables.

They're in like an L shape. And so they've got the microphone, I can move around, I'm not sort of blocked in or anything. I can move my hands around and everything, which is nice.

Because I'm part Italian, just my hands. You know, when I talk, that's about it. And then I've got that table over there for videos.

So oops, I'm banging into things though. This is my chair, it's a bit squeaky. There's no, that's the only time you'll hear that sound in this flat.

I'm on my chair doing it. Oh, oh, so it's kind of coming together. Right now.

Oh, me. It's sort of kind of coming together the the videos because I've got lights, I've got three three lights plus a three kind of flood lights now when I'm making the video. And that seems to do the job.

But what I'm going to do probably tomorrow is get one of my other bookcases and put it to the side. Which means then it'll just be me with the bookcases behind me and move the table. And maybe just hopefully that would just be it.

I don't know. I'm just not sure. But hopefully that should be fine.

And then yeah, just do one video a day. 10 minutes, 20 minutes, whatever. Just however, whatever I feel like.

Just, just do it, download it, edit it and upload it. I forget about it. You know, just done.

And, you know, prepare to a bit preparation beforehand, but not put too much thought into it. Just make the recording one a day and upload it. Because I know what will happen is if I make one recording for YouTube, I won't allow myself to not make at least one podcast.

Like today, I could have easily just said, I've done it, done what I need to do. And I'll just head up, you know, not long and I'll go to bed. And then I thought, no, I'm not going to give favouritism to YouTube.

I'm not considering most of the people that listen to me and I'm listening to podcasts. I can't do that. It's not fair.

So I'm going to continue. What am I doing here? Okay. Yeah, I'm going to continue to try and maybe make at least two podcasts a day.

And I'm hoping, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, that I can get the Whisper one organized. There has to be a way of doing it. This can't be, this can't be it.

You know what I mean? It's got to be, I mean, if it comes to it, I'll just go back to doing how I used to do it using the iPad, just for the Whisper ones. And yeah, there'll be a lower volume. But that's okay.

Because you know, if I can't do them on the Zoom, I'll do them on the iPad. Because they're one of my most popular podcasts. And it'd be a shame not to be able to do them just because it's too low, you know, the volume is too low.

And when I do the increase, and do the mastering of it, any gaps, so that because with the, with the Whisper ones, quite often there might be a gap of like 20 seconds where I don't say anything. And on there I get like that. That's an exaggeration.

But that's kind of the sound. The sound of yeah, you know, the kind of sound I didn't really want. Didn't really want that sound.

I'm changing the sound of this. Oh, sorry. I don't know what any of these knobs do.

I've never really known. I mean, one's called an EQ, one's called a, well now it's gone weird. It's got a strange, strange.

Do you hear that? It's shaky. I think what I can hear in the background is a plane. A lovely, lovely, lovely plane.

How wonderful. How beautiful. I think we're very lucky to have someone to, who shares the sound of a plane at nine o'clock in the evening.

Very lucky. Very, very fortunate. Bless them.

They seem to do a lot of, I'm not sure, but I think they give flying lessons over this area. Like this little bit of airspace. Because there's an airport a million miles away.

And it's, yeah, you know, sometimes all I hear is maybe not the last bit, but you know, it's like like that. Just stop here. I don't know why they can't they just send me a CD of the sound and I promise I'll play it for half an hour a day.

If you stop flying over my house. I guess that wouldn't make sense to everyone would it? Didn't make sense to me. What the heck am I on about? The good thing about not videoing myself when I make these podcasts is I can do anything I want when I make the recording.

See right now I'm sticking my finger up my nose. See, I can't do that on a video. You can't put something like that on YouTube.

Why did I do that? I'm not doing that. Of course I'm not. So what's in the news? What's in the news? Well, talking about the weather.

Oh, it's hot. Oh no, it's hot. Yeah.

I tell you this is weird, right? Okay, this is strange. But it was it was warm today. It was a warm day.

Can't can't argue on that one. But you know, it's kind of what 18th of July should kind of be warm, shouldn't it? Shouldn't be snow should be, you know, should be a bit warm summer and that. And we were gonna meet my friend, we're gonna go out before we wait, wait until later because he's got a dog and you know, take a dog out in the heat like that, even though he loves the heat.

He loves sitting in the sun. It's one of his favorite things. But we waited and I think it was about half four, I think half four, something like that.

And we walked over to the shop and, you know, he checked the floor, make sure it wasn't hot or anything and it wasn't. So, you know, the dog was happy. So we just walked, walked through the park.

Not a sign of a single human. Nobody, nobody. I'm talking normally, right? On a nice day, on a nice day, once the school closes, you know, for the day, half three or three, quarter past three, whatever time it is, they all come out and they go and, you know, sit in the park.

All the parents and chatting to each other. And the park is full. It's like quite rammed at times.

In this kind of weather. Not a single person, seriously. And this was after school.

And my friend said, well, maybe they've all gone to the beach. I said, yeah, probably not though. Not at 4.30, not at four in the afternoon.

It's a bit late, isn't it really? And there's no beaches near here. So the nearest beach is a pretty good, I don't know, 40, 40 minutes. Like it can take you an hour, hour and a half of getting ready and everything to go there.

So you won't get there till like five, half five. Yeah. I mean, some people would do the, do the journey and that, but, but that'd be the same in any time, any year when it's like this.

So I'm thinking, why? Why isn't, why, why? Why is there nobody in the park? And I remembered. Then I remembered. I know I hadn't just farted or anything like that.

Cause I don't do stuff like that. They didn't know I was coming. So like they're all hiding from me.

Nope. Nothing quite as weird. It's because the news, the news scared everyone away.

Instead of enjoying having good weather and making the most of it. And like, you know, of course you got to be careful in the sun because of the sunburn. Every year you got to be careful.

You know, of course I've got ginger skin. I burn, I burn in the winter. Seriously.

I get sunburn in the winter. I've, I know you have to be careful, but that's all year round for me. I mean, everybody knows, don't they? Any adult or anyone of an age where their brain is working.

Know to be careful in the sun, not to sit in the sun without, you know, being a bit careful and looking after yourself and you're responsible for children. You look after the children in there. Yeah.

Well, I think people were just scared to go out. No kids playing. I mean, I loved it because I had the park to myself.

It was great because, well, I like to chuck knives around, you see, I've got an axe and stuff. So I've got a little, like a little board and like to chuck an axe at a board. And it's just easier when there's no kids running around.

So. Dear Jason, I don't think it's a good idea for you to chuck in an axe at a big piece of wood when there's children around. I don't think it's very responsible of you.

Yeah. Come on, if I did that in real life, I'd be arrested. Oh, I've got to explain everything.

The news scared everyone from just doing normal things. And it was a hot day, but it wasn't anything abnormal from just being a hot day here, where I am. It was just a hot day.

Any other time, any other year, it would have just been a hot day and everyone had been sitting around having fun. What on earth was that? I think I hear things just dropping like that. I like this actually, I'll do it like that, but like a quieter version.

I don't know what it is. I don't like that. It's almost like a seagull has pooped and landed on the carpet.

You know, that kind of sound like, but well, I have a ceiling. They can't do that anymore. Talk about pigeons, I haven't seen a horse today.

You weren't talking about pigeons, you said seagull. You haven't got to pick me up on every single thing. We're not married yet.

We will be soon, but we're not yet. Give me some spoosh. Oh yeah, I was going to say cables.

So the cables from apparently, apparently the cables. Now this is, okay, tell me this, this is not to do with cables now. Which is whispering? Is this whispering? Or is this whispering? Which is it? Is it this? Or is it this? Is this whispering? Or is this whispering? This, this, this is not whispering.

It's talking quietly. This is whispering. The reason I mention it is because I was watching a video on YouTube.

ASMR whispering, yeah? And she was talking like that. But just talk a bit like, this isn't whispering. This is whispering.

You don't use your throat when you whisper. You use your mouth. It's all about your mouth.

You don't, you know, a, a, b, b, c, c. You know what I mean? Because really, that, like talking like that, it's just me talking like this, but quieter. You know, it's a bit quieter. So it's not whispering.

This is whispering. And I can whisper louder like this, but it's still whispering. It's still whispering.

Isn't it? You know what I mean? So this is whispering, isn't it? Not this. That's softly spoken. Which I would, I'm kind of guessing, mainly everything I do is kind of softly spoken-ish.

Kind of. Kind of, isn't it? Sort of. So the cables apparently can have a big effect upon the quality of the sound.

I didn't even think it. Didn't even, you know, if you get good professional cables, proper cables from the microphone into the equipment, they're supposed to cut down or reduce or maybe eliminate white sound on the recording. So I've ordered some cables and they're coming from America.

So I don't know how long they're going to be here. Should be here by the end of the month. But they don't make, well, they might make them in the UK, but they don't sell them here.

At least I couldn't find anyone that could. And I really hope that it makes a difference. And I know some people might think, what the hell are you keep going on about? It sounds all right.

It's just a recording. You ain't got, you ain't up to Widenoski, you know. It ain't a film soundtrack.

Yeah, I know. I know. You know, it's not a book for Audible.

You're not getting paid. Yeah, I know. I'm not getting paid.

Thanks for reminding me. It's not about that. It's just, I spent so many years making bad quality recordings.

Personally, I think quite good content. But the quality of the sound was not acceptable. I got away with it for a while.

And I still build an audience up, even though the quality of the sound was not great. But now I want to, I want both. I want to be able to, almost like give something back.

Thank you for sticking with me. And now it's going to be better quality. It's going to be a more, a more pleasurable experience auditorily.

Maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe. Hmm. I don't know.

Does it make sense to you? Does it that I'm wanting this to be good? I want the sound to be good. And then once I've got the sound good, then I can really start to concentrate on the content more, because I don't want to give too much attention to the sound. I want it to be done.

If you know what I mean, I want it to be as good as I can get it. And then I can focus on more on making new recordings. And another thing I'm thinking of doing, oh, by the way, I shaved my head.

Another thing I'm thinking of doing. No, Jason, don't just move on from that. Tell us about your hair.

Okay, if you want. Can I just say you shaved your head, then carry on talking about something else, like cables or never did. By the way, you never did read that magazine, did you? What magazine? Magazine you're going to read the other day.

Two days in a row, you're going to read it. You didn't read nothing. You didn't read nothing.

Yeah, I know. I'm a, I'm a complete, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I try my best. I'm just not perfect. And I know that maybe I've given the impression I was.

And I apologize for misleading everyone. We thought that I was the perfect specimen. I know that it's it's easy to kind of think that.

But yeah, yeah, yeah, right. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

Yeah. Okay. Okie doke.

Okie dokie. Okie dokie. Sorry.

So that's a weird sound. Very weird sound. Why is it doing that? Then what is going on? Why is it going away? It used to be used to be so happy.

If I was a soldier, would you tell me where to do my soldier in? It's all about soldiers. I've got some egg cups. So that's the boiled eggs.

And I wanted to increase like trying to eat a bit more healthily. That's what my plan was to try and eat more healthily. And, you know, more salad and vegetables and rice, maybe a bit of pasta.

And yeah, I suppose the one thing I have stuck to, the one thing I have apart from this chair, the one thing I have stuck to, I need to start wearing underwear. But one thing I have stuck to is with my ready break, which if you don't know what ready break is, it's like porridge, kind of. I guess it's a less healthy version of porridge, maybe.

I think it's still healthy, kind of. I think so. It's oats.

Anyway, I have that. And instead of sugar, I have now have fruit, like dried fruit, not prunes. Prunes wouldn't be a bad idea, actually.

You can never have enough gas. Like dried, not dried, but raisins. I mean, are they dry? Because they feel quite moist.

Honestly, sometimes I can feel in my fingers, I can feel the moistness as I press my fingers on them. Just feels just that nub, it's like noise. You know, when you put it between your fingers and just.

So it's not dry, is it? Like the raisins, they're not dry. Because what I'm pushing on them, I do feel kind of a bit, yeah, just a squeeze. And it's like, I mean, liquid doesn't squirt out or anything.

But it's definitely got a moistness to it. So what's the difference between that and dried fruit? Don't say don't say the dried fruit is dry, because I will be very, very cross with you. Here's a question, here's a question to all those of you that actually like these podcasts.

All five of you, only five people listen to this, but I think it's worth it. Because, you know, to me, five people is a lot of people. I don't know if I even know five people in the world, do I? Okay, I do.

I don't know five people that I'd want to spend a lot of time with. You know what? I'm not a people's person. Okay.

But I think some people get that confused. Oh, you don't like people? No. It's not the same thing.

I'm not a people's person. I get on very well with people. I just don't.

I don't. I don't like spending too much time with them. With just anyone.

I like to spend time on my own. I like to do my own thing. That's why doing this kind of stuff suits me.

I've always liked to solitary, not completely solitary, but a solitary kind of lifestyle. Reading books, watching telly, watching movies, working on the internet, making podcasts, singing songs, doing weights, punching a punch bag. I don't know, just solitary things.

I like to do that. And it doesn't mean that I don't want to spend any time with anybody ever, because I know that's not true. But I don't normally, I think after half an hour, that's enough.

That kind of is a, that's, yeah, half an hour's enough. I don't really feel I need more than that. I don't need the half an hour.

I think 10 minutes quite often is enough. It depends if there's a conversation or not. If it's just sitting there in silence, there's no point at all.

I can do that on my own. And I'm more relaxed when I'm on my own. I don't watch television with anyone else.

I don't watch movies with anyone else, because I can't concentrate. You know what happens, right? First of all, they might talk, and that's a distraction. Then just being there is a distraction.

I'll tell you what's the biggest distraction though. If there's someone in the room with me and there's a movie on, or a television show on a watch, or boxing or whatever, I'll tell you what the biggest distraction is. The biggest distraction is I can't shut up.

I keep talking. I'm the one that doesn't stop talking. Therefore, I distract myself from what I want to watch.

It rarely happens when there's no one else in the room. Sometimes it happens, but it rarely happens. I'm not going to say that I never have conversations with myself, because I do.

But sometimes, because there's no one around, I like to talk things through out loud sometimes. But I am aware I'm doing it. It's not like I don't know that I'm doing it.

Sometimes I feel like I'm almost rehearsing for doing a podcast. I'm thinking about how would I say that if I was doing a podcast? This chair really is squeaky, isn't it? That almost sounded like a gust of air being exhaled from a big smelly mouth. So yeah, apparently tomorrow is supposed to be super duper hot.

So, I mean, I've not got involved in the whole news thing. I had to turn it off. It was just, I don't know why they want everyone to be so scared all the time.

It's just getting silly. It's so transparent, but I don't know what. It's transparent what they're doing.

I just don't understand why they're doing it. I don't understand why they're trying to get everyone's absolutely petrified. I don't know.

But every day, something new. So, but, you know, I've kind of taken precautions. If it's going to be like, you know, today and tomorrow, I decided I wasn't going to go out.

I ended up going out for a little while today, but that was, you know, just up the road. But I wasn't going to go anywhere. I wasn't going to sit on a bus or a train.

Not that I generally do much of that anyway. And when I'm at home, I can take my clothes off. I mean, I've got my T-shirt on.

I haven't even got my shirt off. It's not warm enough for that. It's not warm enough to have my T-shirt off.

So, you know, it was earlier. It was during the day. But I can't walk around without my top off, without my top off, without my top on, in public.

Because, you know, I'm too good looking. I'm too, I'm too, too buff. I think someone said, you've got to stop talking about how buff you are.

Yeah, but you realize I'm joking. I think some people believe like, oh, you keep talking, bragging about how, how muscular and good looking you are. Go to YouTube if you want to see how awful I look.

Go to YouTube. There's a picture of me on there. There's a video of me.

I bought a big, shiny bald head. Honestly, I mean, you're gonna look and the first thing you're gonna think is, where's the foreskin? Honestly, that's just, that's how I look. It's got limits to what I can do.

Without like full, full blown surgery. There's limits. I could wear makeup.

I could grow my hair. My hair was fairly long until about five hours, four hours ago, five hours ago. So it was a four, five, six, seven, eight, nine.

Yeah, about five hours ago. I had a beard until five hours ago. I haven't shaved the beard off, probably for years.

I can't remember the last time I did. I just thought I'd shave it, shave it off. Just have a look.

It's always nice to see what my chin looks like. What the, how many chins I've got. Let's see how many chins I've got.

Oh dear. Let's have a drink there. I think I've only got two now.

I used to have lots. It's kind of funny really, because in, yeah, in 2015, I weighed less than I do now. Probably a stone less, which is 14 pounds.

Probably a stone less than I do now. Yeah, I had more chins than I have now. So I weighed less, but I had more chins.

It's funny, isn't it? A bit strange. I've no idea why I make those sounds. I wonder how long the podcast would actually last if I took out all the stupid sounds.

You know, how long would it last? What, five minutes? An hour recording down to five minutes. We took out all, if you take out all the nonsense, we took out all the nonsense and we had 32 seconds left. That's nice.

I was thinking of doing kind of, I don't know why I'm laughing at this, but like trying to do like the best of, the best of Let me put you to sleep. Trying to find stuff. So I sound so far away and I'm only literally a few inches and now I'm back.

Now there. So yeah, I, I've only got one pair of socks that, you know, the socks you can wear in the summer with shorts and they don't go up your leg. They're just kind of, are they shoe socks? Half socks? I forget what they're called.

I've only got one pair. I want to get more because I like walking around in shoes. Well, they're kind of shoes.

Well, they are shoes. They go on my feet, but then so do slippers. So do skis, you know? So, but you know what I mean? I like to wear when I go out.

I don't, I'm not a flip-flop person. I saw someone the other day running in flip-flops and they tripped over. It's funny.

I don't know why it was funny. It just, it was, I mean, they didn't fall over, they didn't hurt themselves, they just like tripped and, and just looked back because, I mean, you don't, why would you run in flip, why would you wear flip-flops? But I can't wear them. I mean, obviously I wouldn't laugh to be tripped up, I'd have run up to help him, but he didn't trip up or hurt himself or anything.

But I, I didn't have any choice when I was a kid. I was given flip-flops to wear because when you're like six, seven, eight, nine, whatever, you don't know, well, maybe different for you, but no one ever said, uh, do you want to wear these? What are they? Well, they're for your feet. For my feet? Where's the laces? There's no laces.

Where's the sides? Well, there's not really any sides, it's just a strap. Where's the top? Well, there's a strap, it's not really a top. Where's, where's what, where's the toes? What covers the toes? What if it rains? Well, you can just get wet feet.

It defeats the object of having shoes, doesn't it? No, because it's summer and it's warm and it doesn't matter because this is the seventies and we don't mind it being warm. We like it when it's warm in the seventies and we have summers that actually last for weeks and weeks when it's warm every day for weeks and weeks and we don't make a big deal about it because it's normal. And we also have motorbikes going past quite loudly in the distance.

I heard that as well. Sounded like quite a modern motorbike. Yeah, it is.

It's a very futuristic one. Oh, I think you're 47 years in the future. Anyway, I don't want to wear them.

You don't get a choice, do you? Like, there you are, put them on your feet, figure out how to use them. I struggled, to be honest. I like, how, what? Because I was used to lifting my foot up off the ground and the bottom of my foot, you know, the thing that was attached to my foot, also lifting off the ground and no longer touching the ground.

But flip-flops didn't kind of do that. Part of it would lift up and the other part would just still stay onto the ground. It's like it needed to be connected to the ground almost to, to, I don't know, like to keep, to power it or something, to power the flip-flop.

Like a train. This doesn't make sense, does it? No, I don't think it does. You think anyone's noticed? No, I don't think so.

Should we just carry on? Yeah, let's just carry on. By the way. Yeah, what? Which one of us is whispering? I am.

I think I am. No, I am. No, but I, I definitely am whispering.

No, I'm whispering. Well, what's the difference? Well, you're using your throat when you talk. I'm not, I'm just using my mouth.

Yeah, but, oh, oh, that's, that's funny. I can feel it in my throat. Yeah, but I can't feel it in my throat.

It's all in the tongue and the mouth. Oh, so if I focus just on the mouth, I am now still the same. Yeah, but you've got to kind of breathe out as well.

Well, breathe out, breathe out. Oh, oh, let's see if I can do it. Let's see if I can do it like that.

Yeah, yeah. Oh, wow. I don't need my throat at all.

Just the air. Yeah, that's right. Wow.

So this is proper whispering. Yeah, it is. Wow, that's great.

Yeah, I know. Oh, yeah. What are you doing? What do you mean? Why aren't you whispering anymore? I am whispering.

You said you don't use your throat. You shouldn't use your throat. No, I said you shouldn't use your throat.

This is the proper way to whisper in, which means I win the argument. Yeah, it's been sunny today. It's sunny.

Apparently, might be a lie, but apparently, about 100 years ago, there was a, a solar flare, right? And it was so strong and it affected our atmosphere. It was so strong that the telephone, telephonists, telephonists, you know, the people that used to put people through from one phone to another, see it in the movies and documentaries and stuff, you know, their equipment worked, the equipment worked without being plugged in. How amazing is that? Huh? Right.

But would you want to be a Dalek? You know, would you? You had enough time to think, would you? I mean, if you had the chance to be a Dalek, or Doctor Who, who would you choose? Just leave a comment section and whoever gets the correct answer will receive nothing, nothing at all. Nothing at all. Oh, well, thank you for listening.

Yeah, thank you. So I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go now. I'm gonna go.

So take care of yourselves. Remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy. Do something nice for yourself today.

And remember to be gentle with yourself. Lots of love. Bye.
