Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Welcome to let me bore you to sleep. My name is Jason Newland, please only listen when you can safely close your eyes and thank you for listening.

Wow, I'll tell you what, I don't know where I am. I know where I am but don't need to call an ambulance or anything but I really wow. Okay, where do I start? How about the beginning? Okay, I'll start at the beginning.

First of all, my ears are still not back but they're there but they're not, you know, I've still not got my hearing back. Everybody sounds really young. Now, this might sound weird but when I watch television, everybody sounds like, almost like they've been taking helium, like they've been sucking on helium.

Seriously, not quite to that, but not that extreme but instead of someone sounding like this, they sound like this. Honestly, I don't know how to explain it better than that. But everybody, every, I've watched the news earlier and they're talking like this.

It's like really high, high, not high pitched but much higher octave and it must be my hearing or maybe that's how everyone normally talks and I've just been getting it wrong all these years. But wow, I've not heard one deep voice. In fact, I should test it, listen to Barry, Barry Brown, not Barry Brown, Barry White and see if I listen to him and he sounds like a smurf, then I know that I'm, I need to get my ears sorted out.

But blimey, seriously, blimey man, even I, I listen to myself. The other day I was editing an old recording, a stop smoking recording that I did back in, I don't know, 2000, 2009 I think it was, 2008, 2009 and I'm talking, I'm like this, hi, that's how it sounds to me, hi, welcome to the stop smoking course, my name's Jason Newland, what? I know I was younger back then but even then I was like 38, 39, let's say 38 years old, I wasn't, I sounded like I'm about 14.

Now, maybe if you're listening to me, I don't sound very old, maybe, to me I sound croaky and I think I am croaky because of the, I've still got a bit of a cough and my throat's still a bit like that, but maybe I do sound young still and I thought I sounded a lot older because for me the, the days of like, hi everybody, it's gone, you know, I sound older, I sound a bit more mature now being, you know, 73 that I am but even listening back to recordings now when I do it,

when I edit this, I'm going to sound about 12 to me and just, I don't get it because I didn't think that hearing did that, hearing loss would distort the sounds, maybe it just shows my ignorance towards the ears and the processes and I know it's a very complicated thing that's going on, I just don't know much about it, I just, I just use them, I don't know much about them, you know, I just use the ears, but there's the same as if you use your hand, I use my hand, but the amount of muscles

and all the different bones and everything connected to the hand to make it work, I mean, you know, doctors and specialists specialize, don't they, just do like in the hand, like, well, why, it's easy, but it's not, it's very complicated, very complicated piece of equipment, so I guess the ears are as well, which is very, and this is that, that connection between the ears and the brain, so in some ways, this is almost like my brain is not working correctly, but then the brain can only use, the brain can't use anything other than the ears

for sound, as far as I'm aware, I don't think you can get sound from your nose, from your nostrils, although it is an entrance, I don't know if you, from your voice, if you can, if the voice can resonate sounds into the brain, again, I'm ignorant to this stuff, but as far as hearing, the hearing is distorted, which means my brain is distorted, as far as my collecting data, I guess, to the information going into my brain is not correct, because sounds are not correct, that's weird, just really weird, being an auditory person, and starting

to, I don't know, I'm not sure if it's really affecting me so much, in fact, a couple of days ago, I got a little bit upset about it, but now I've got to cling to the hope that it's just a temporary thing, I've had it for 10 days now, so I'm hoping that the hearing goes back to normal, I decided if it's not going back to normal by Christmas, then I'll go to the doctors in January, but I'm not going, I've already got an appointment this month for my back, and I'm not going to make

any other appointments to the doctors, because I'd have to book it now to get an appointment before Christmas anyway, and I'm not going to bother with that, because there's a lot of other people that need appointments, and I don't, it's not an emergency, I hope it's not an emergency, and but if it's still like this at Christmas, then I will go to the doctors in January, and I guess go from there and seek professional help, because they should, the ears should clear themselves by then, or I don't know like clear, but should correct, I've never

had this before, I've had, I've had short instances, you know, I thought if you go swimming, and you don't have earplugs in, you go swimming, and you get, is it what they call it, do they call it water ear or whatever, and you know, your ears a bit weird, and I had a perforated eardrum once, but that was way worse than this, that was, I remember I used to wear earplugs every night when I went to bed, because I couldn't sleep with the background sound, now it doesn't matter, I've trained myself, and I can sleep

regardless of what's going on, I'm not saying that if there was a helicopter in the garden, I might, you know, not saying I'll be able to sleep through that, but general sounds, and even things that wake me up, I just turn that over and go back to sleep, I can generally drown out most things when my ears are normal, you know, now, but it's easy, nothing disturbs me, because I've got probably 50% hearing, if that, and no background sounds disturb me at all, because I can't hear them, so it's, it's good in one sense, but

you know, not great, yeah, it's a bit strange, but I mean, today, this is even stranger, okay, this is the, just weird, weird things, yesterday, no, the day before, Wednesday, Wednesday, I, wait a minute, Wednesday, I, oh yeah, yes, Wednesday, I woke up at 6.

30, had some breakfast, I went back to bed, and didn't wake up again until 3. 30 in the morning, and I'd be in a bed, I'd been asleep all night, well, during the night, it's almost like my body's kind of trying to recover, like I'm trying to, I guess we heal when we're asleep and stuff, last night, my friend came up here, and it was, it weren't late, in fact, blimey, it weren't late, this was 3, 3 o'clock, something like that, 4, so I don't know what time it was, I went to bed, but I had some breakfast, and it couldn't have been much more after 5 or 6, and I went for a lie down, woke up at 1.

30 in the morning, I hadn't even eaten, I didn't even have a cooked meal, didn't eat nothing in the evening, didn't have any food, woke up at 1. 30, came out here, I'm thinking it'd probably be maybe 8 o'clock or something, like 1. 30 in the morning, and I thought, well, I can, I can stay up, which means I'm going to have to get something to eat, if I, I'm not hungry now, but I'm going to have to at some point, and I thought, nah, I'll just go back to bed, so I did, I got up at 6, or, no, I woke up about 5.

30, and it's now 6. 58, had my breakfast, watched a bit of telly, watched the news, you know, really strange, I think, because of, I guess a part of the things, a bit of a chest infection has been part of the, of the illness I've had, so I, you know, I've been coughing quite a bit, before I managed to get any sleep, and then eventually falling asleep, but, it's very, I don't know, just quite strange, for me, and then I woke up today, you know, I'm sitting here, watching telly, and I'm thinking, what day is it?

It's Thursday, isn't it? But it's not, it's Friday, it's Friday, the week has gone by, and I don't, I don't know where it's gone, it's Friday, so this is the fifth day of the month, and I've got a target set for this month, and I'm nowhere near it, not anywhere near the target, you know, I'm hoping to get what I'm aiming to get, I'm aiming to stop coughing, that's what I'm aiming, I'm aiming for 800,000 downloads this month, and so far I've got 114,500 in the last four days, so I don't know if that's going to allow me to, will I reach 800,000?

I don't know, and that's what I need to do, that's my target, but yesterday, because I just, I was just so tired, well, I don't know, I just, anyway, for the first of the month, what have I got?

23,000, nearly 24,000, Tuesday the 2nd, 26,500, 31,500 on Wednesday, yesterday 26,500, today so far 6,500, which isn't bad by 7 in the morning, but it's like, yesterday I missed a whole lot of work that I needed to do, oh well, that's weird, that's very strange, something's just started moving on my desk for no reason, I don't like that, I don't like poltergeists on my desk, it troubles me, so yeah, yesterday was a good day actually, apart from, it's not a bad thing that I went to bed, I clearly needed it, but I started my exercise

routine, because I've decided, and I'm dedicated to this as well, absolutely 100% to getting fit, but the main thing is to sort my back out using exercise, as opposed to medication, like pain relief, or wearing a bra, or it's not a bra, but it was a back brace thing that I was wearing that was trying to correct my posture, the thing with when you do weights is you automatically kind of have to correct your posture, otherwise you're going to hurt yourself, and I know, I do know the correct posture, I do know how to lift

weights, I'm not lifting heavy weights, they're very light, they're just dumbbells, so I'm not like showing off, look at me, I'm a weight lifter now, no, I'm just doing what I always have done really, but it's, I haven't lifted any weights really for a while, and I've avoided them because of my back, now I'm lifting them because of my back, and I'm not only focusing on my back, in fact I'm not really focusing that much on it, it's more the other parts of my body, so my arms, my shoulders, my chest, deltoids, biceps, triceps, I

guess lower back, and you know, just the back itself, and just trying to get an overall lift, an overall muscle strengthening of my upper body, just strengthening my upper body, that's it, it's not really any particular part, I mean the arms, the good thing about lifting weights is you can concentrate on your arms if you want, but every time you lift weights, your arms get exercised, so the muscles in your arms get pumped every time you use weights, so if you, even if you're just pushing them up above your shoulders, above your head, your arms

are getting exercised, maybe not your biceps specifically, as you do with a curl, but also I started doing press-ups again, so I did 20 press-ups yesterday morning, I didn't do any in the evening, I was planning to, but I was in bed, I just forgot, I haven't done them yet today, but I'll do some in a little while, I'll wait for my breakfast to digest, and I'll just do 20 in the morning, 20 in the evening, I could probably do 50, I'd be knackered, but I could do 50, but I don't want to really put

too much strain, I'm just, I think 20 is, it's very easy, very manageable, but it's also, it's stretching and exercising and using those muscles in my back, as well as also in my shoulders and my arms and my chest, and you know, it kind of seems to work the whole of the upper body, or maybe also the like the lower back, buttocks, even the legs, because there's a degree of strain and pressure put onto the legs, when you do that as well, unless I'm doing it wrong, so there's that, I'd say I could probably do

50, but I don't know, I'll be knackered, I'll be on my face by the end of it, but 20 is easy, and I'm quite pleased with that, considering I haven't, I haven't done much in a way of exercise for a while, and also considering I'm quite heavy, so to do press-ups when you weigh quite a bit, and to do them properly, and I was doing them, I just lay on the floor, because my belly, if I lay in my bed, you know, and I just, I don't do them properly at all, I don't, I just

lie on the floor and just like pretend, but no one's around, so it doesn't matter, I'm kidding, I did do it properly, because when you do, when you do press-ups, your stomach does strengthen, not strengthen, but it tightens, so you know, that's the thing, all these people are you're fat, you're fat, you've got no muscle, that's wrong, it's actually wrong, the fat bit is true, yeah, yeah, I'm fat, but I do have muscle, and everybody, all people that have got a belly, whatever, they've got muscles underneath that fat in their belly, because otherwise they wouldn't

be able to stand up straight, or walk, you can't walk without muscles in your stomach, it's impossible, you need, you have to have those muscles, so there is muscles here, it might not be great quality, might not be, might not look great, it might, might not even be as strong as perhaps you'd like, but everyone has muscles in their stomach, and so anyone like makes out, so don't try and think, oh because I'm fat, oh I've got no muscles, which is not true, if you didn't have any muscles, you wouldn't be able to stand up,

you wouldn't be able to do any, you wouldn't be able to, if you didn't have any muscles in your back, you know, you might think I'm just fat, I've got no muscles, I've got no muscles in my chest, I've just got tits now, no, yeah, I do have tits, but I've got muscles underneath that, pectoral muscles, because otherwise I wouldn't be able to use that part of my body, just like even, just like women, women that have boobies, have muscles as well underneath that, because it's not, otherwise, because you know, breast tissue generally is fatty

tissue, isn't it, but it's not all, it's all far muscular as well underneath, I'm not here to talk about boobies, because I'll get distracted, but generally, I think it's, it might be useful to remember that even if we are overweight or fat, we do still have muscle, and if you're heavy, imagine how strong your legs are, if you're able to walk around normally, it means you've got strong legs, and pretty strong back as well, and abdominal, because when you walk, you use your muscles in your back, and you use the muscles in your stomach, in

order to keep your body straight, and to keep your body, because although it might not be straight, straight, as in a brilliant posture, yeah, there has to be a certain straightness in order to walk, otherwise you'll be flat on the floor, so there's a lot of muscles that are being used, so you know, I think it might be useful for those fatties out there, among us, including myself in that, our little fatties, is to remember that that's not all we are, not just fat, it's muscle there as well, and for those, there are some people

out there that are muscles and got very little fat, but you know, that, I don't think that's the majority, and if you, if you, I'd say most people are probably somewhere in the middle, as you get older, I don't find that many really slim 50 year olds, men, or women, I don't think, might have a little bit of, a little bit of timber on them, but as you get older, it's logical, logical, you need to kind of maybe reduce some of the fat, reduce some of that weight, if you want to live a long life,

because you know, when's the last time you saw a 94 year old, extremely obese person, you don't, you don't, and this however, might not sound nice to say it, but it's true, people that generally, I'm not saying everyone, but generally, and statistically, people that live over 80, are generally slimmer, now everyone can get slimmer, well, most people can get slimmer if they want to, I have, I've lost weight before, I know some people, I think, the thing with losing weight, it is, it's not, it's not easy, it's not, it is, and it's not, it's very

simple, generally, but that's, you know, it's, it's so easy to sort of be judgmental, and so I'm trying not to do that, it might sound like I am being, but I'm talking about myself really, technically, it's easy, if you're young, and you're overweight, and you have no like physical conditions really, that prevent you from exercising, then my advice is if you, if you're planning to want to lose some weight at some point in the future, do it while you can, do it while you're physically able to, because there's a lot of people out there that,

they're overweight, but, and they could lose the weight, if they could do the exercise, but maybe they've got a chronic pain condition, or chronic illness, that's just prevents them from either exercising due to unable to do it, or it's just too painful, and it's, wow, you know, then you're, then you're reliant on diet, and I would say losing weight through diet is much harder than losing weight through exercise, in my experience, if you do enough exercise, you'll lose weight, it's a simple calculation, you know, calories coming in, calories being burnt, calories, you know, being eaten,

and calories being burnt, so if you do, if you burn off 50% of the calories that you've got coming in, then you're possibly gonna have less fat, you know, over a 12-month period, than someone that burns off 10% of the calories, just kind of makes sense, doesn't it, I suppose, just, I'm no expert, though, I have studied it a little bit when I was younger, but I'm not an expert, I ain't an expert on nowt, I don't even, I'm not even an expert on myself, weee, but I'm thinking, so what I decided yesterday for me,

this is just about me, I don't care what other people do, it's your choice, your life, it's, I do remember this counselling tutor that I had, she was one of the tutors at my university course, and I remember she went into one, she was on, she was at the front of the stage, talking about people, judging, talking about people, expectations of each other, and stuff like that, and she was saying, and she was big, she wasn't, I mean, she was big, she wasn't what I would class huge, but she was a big lady, and she

was talking about being big, and she said, okay, I'm morbidly obese, that's what she said about herself, but then I'm morbidly obese, but I'm not big, I've got a belly, and I'm overweight, but I've got no fat on my arms, I've got no fat on my shoulders, probably a little bit on my back, but not that much on my back, I've got no fat on my legs, really, it's just my belly, you can see my belly from space, anyway, she's, this is not what she said, this is on me, she said to, about herself, I'm

huge, no, I don't know what she said, I'm big, overweight, I eat too much, but I'm happy with how I am, and people say, oh, I should lose weight, and for health reasons, and my family told me I should lose weight, my children, but I'm happy being how I am, and I'm happy in my own skin, okay, now, a lot of people listen to that, would be like, yeah, good for you, girl, and so, too right, why should you change yourself for other people, or your children are moaning about it, well, maybe listen to your

children, because it's not always going to be, the children aren't necessarily going to want you to lose weight, because they're worried about how you look when you're with them, because you might have always been big, and they don't care, that's all they know you, there might be other reasons why they care about your weight, but I don't have kids, so I don't know what it's like to be in that situation, however, so you might say, good on her, two weeks later, coming to college, and she's had a stroke, massive stroke, like huge, you know, she

survived, thankfully, but it was one of those strokes that a lot of people wouldn't survive, and she'd already been ill, she's already had like weeks off, because of illness, physical illness, I don't know, she had diabetes, or whatever, I don't know, but she was determined to stick to being fat, and she had this huge stroke, it was a career ending, that was it, she didn't work again after that, and it messed up, I know it's not about us, but it messed up our education for that year, because she was in charge of everything, so it

really put a strain, they had to get temporary people in, to look after us, as a class, and teaching, and that's not very good, if you're, you know, you're paying a lot of money to do a degree, and suddenly you're being taught by people, that maybe, they don't know what they're doing, but they're not involved, she's been involved in I think she created the course, you know, she'd been involved in it for 20 years or something, so she'd created that degree course, and there wasn't anything she didn't know about it, and she was the most

valuable part of the course, really, kind of at that time, there was another lady as well, but you can't run a degree with just two people, there's lots of different people involved, and she was, she, the other lady took over her role, but she was part-time, so she couldn't do as, you know, didn't do as much, because she was near retirement age herself, lovely she was, but it's so sad, it's really, I remember watching that going on about, oh yeah, I'm a fat, I'm gonna stay fat, and I'm gonna stay big, and I'm, because I'm,

I love myself, and all that stuff, and you know, majority of the people in my course were female, so they're, they're, I think there's quite a bit of, what's the word, kind of egging each other on, yeah go girl, you go girl, and I, I suppose I'm never gonna know what it's like to be a female, and to be looked at, and judged, and stuff as a female, but I'm a male, and I'm looked at, and judged as a male, and have been probably through my life, you know, we get, everyone gets judged on their

appearance, especially when they're younger, so maybe not so much now, because I'm invisible to most people at my age, but you know, I didn't quite, I wasn't quite in tune of where she was coming from, but I listened, you know, I just like, okay, and then, you know, she like literally a couple of weeks later, it might have been less time, might have been over the weekend, but it was like a couple of weeks later, she, you know, had that stroke, and it's like, wow, talk about timing, and I saw her in the street, she

didn't recognize me, but this was probably about a year later, so slim, seriously, really slim, and walking, she was with someone, so I don't know how, but she looked like, because she wasn't old, I mean, I'd say she probably wasn't maybe about my age, it was only in her early 50s, I'd say, and so she, if that, she might have been in her late 40s, I'd say early 50s-ish, so she, and I saw her, she looked younger, she was slimmer, looked, yeah, healthier, but I don't think she could have looked more unhealthy than she did

anyway before, and she just, I don't know, I hope she's still around, I hope she's well, I mean, I didn't, I didn't get on that well with her, I don't know, she didn't seem to like me very much, I mean, if you listened to the, if you'd have recorded her, her little speech about staying at home, not losing weight, and wanting to stay like that, because she was happy, if you'd have recorded it, you'd have heard my voice in the background shouting out, stop eating, stop eating, stop eating biscuits, leave the kit kats alone, very

quietly in the background, because I was, I've always been a bit of a heckler, no, I didn't, I didn't at all, I'm just messing about, but I do think about, it's so easy to stay fat, it really is, it's easy, it's an easier, really easy option, because just, all you've got to do is just do nothing, and just continue eating, because if you do, if you do eat less, depending on what it is you're eating, because some people, I do this myself, you know, I like to lie and say, well, I don't eat much, I

only eat like a little bit when I eat my meals, which is true, but what about the kit kats, and the mars bars, and the cans of coke that I have spread through the day, that's where the calories come from, that's where the fat's coming from, lack of physical movement, means that those calories stay, and so for me, where I am now, is doing the exercises, and I do a bit of, like yesterday I did it, and it's very lightweight exercise, I'm doing a rep of 20, and that's it, and I do that like every

hour or so, and I do, and it's a different exercise every time, not every time, but every, you know, through a period of maybe five or six exercises, and then we go back to the original one, and it's just light exercise, it's stimulating the muscles, and the movement, and just the body, the movement of your body is important, even like with something like tai chi, if you've ever done tai chi, or, oh, what's the other one, I forget, but just the slow movement, it's really powerful, if you've never done it, give it a try, you

haven't got to turn up to a tai chi thing, just stand there, stand, and or just sit there, but if you stand, and just move very slowly, just walk from one side of the room to the next, very slowly, not slow enough so that you fall over, because that's no point, if you, I've seen people, I've done it myself, I've seen people do that, where they try and lift one leg up, and move it so slowly that they end up falling over, so that's no good, so just move half the speed of what you would

normally do, and then slow it down to maybe a quarter of the speed, and you can feel the different parts of your body moving, and it feels so different from when you just normally walk, and you can do the same thing with your hands, you can just put your hands out front of you, and just move them around, just gently move in each finger individually, slowly, which although is the most simplistic thing, it's something that we just don't do generally, because I would say, well I am very, very purposeful when it comes to using my,

my hands, that sounds weird, but you know like, I'm just saying if I'm going to write something, I'll pick the pen up, and I'll write, or if I'm typing something, I'll type, or if I'm picking something up, or if I'm punching a punch bag, it's, I'm specifically doing that, I'm not thinking about the movement necessarily, okay with a punch bag, the movements, I am, but because you need to obviously, with a punch bag, the movement's important, because you need to make sure you don't hurt your hand, or your wrist, you have to hold your hand

in a certain way, so you don't hurt yourself, but like writing, or typing, or carrying shopping, or whatever, it doesn't take much in the way of thinking, I guess, much thought, but when you do just stand, or sit there, and just look at your hands, look at the palm of your hands, and just move them around very, very slowly, and move them around, and look at the backs of your hands, just moving your fingers around, putting your hands face to face with each other, the palms, and just getting close, and moving away a little bit,

and you can almost get a sense of the feeling of the energy between them, and it feels nice, and it's a real mindfulness exercise, it takes, just takes you in a different direction, it's, I don't know, I think it's really helpful, it's really, it's pleasurable to be fair, I like it because it's pleasurable, and I like mindfulness stuff, I don't really like reading about mindfulness stuff, but maybe that's because I just read too much stuff on that when I was younger, but I like doing it, I like just sort of focusing on what it is

I'm doing in the moment, it feels quite nice to just be relaxed, and yeah, and it's the same with exercise, you know, I think if you're doing some, doing some weights, you know, and you're just doing some curls, it's nice, you know, you can focus on your, your biceps sort of being stimulated as you move, and maybe your shoulder as well, it just feels nice, it's a nice feeling, I think, but I might be in the, the, the, the, the small group of people who believe that.

Were you thinking the word minority? Yeah, okay, yeah, but it took a while to get the brain working for that word to arrive. I'm really enjoying drinking water at the moment. I really am.

I'm loving my water. Another thing I decided to do is to start walking. So I went for a lovely walk.

Well, it wasn't a lovely walk, but I went for a walk in the fields. And it's really just the case of, I want to increase my fitness. I do over the next couple of months before Christmas, it's the 5th of November.

So I want to instead of just sitting here, and admittedly, I'm not sitting here doing nothing, I'm sitting here working on the podcast, and you know, the whole area, all different aspects of what I do here involves sitting down in front of a laptop or the iPad or whatever. But I'm going to take breaks throughout the day and get out walk, exercise. I've got my exercise bike, which I'm going to bring in here and use when I'm watching telly, maybe not all the time, but you know, I need to also just relax and just sit down and do nothing as well.

But I want to try and keep physically active. I can't really at the moment. Well, I can't go out really feeling like way I'm feeling.

So I still feel a bit rough. I can go to the garage or wear a mask and I just get what I need from there. And I've only done that sort of twice this week.

But I don't want to be going out into town and being around lots of people because I'll be I don't think I could handle going through what I've been through. Again, it'd just be too much to just go through that again. And I was so ill.

I was it was horrible. Of course, I could handle it. I'll get through it.

But just I don't want to I don't want to have to go through that again. It's I mean, you know, not anytime soon. And I'd like to get a bit more you know, with the amount of people out there that have got viruses and and this is you know, it's this flu season as well, isn't it? November, December.

Ironically, I got a message yesterday from the the NHS telling me, oh, you can you can get your free flu jab. Just contact your doctor surgery. Oh, the place that never answered the phone.

Okay, cool. My flu jab after it's like, you know what, I don't even want whatever percentage of flu is in that flu jab to enter my body right now. Seriously.

Although technically, my immune system should be quite built up a bit, shouldn't it? After this? Should my immune system be stronger after being ill? I don't know. So I'm going to be getting out and walking at least once a day on a long walk on my own. Or not more with a friend doesn't have to be on my own.

But I want to be out and just get some fresh air. Because I'm one of these people. I'm one of these people that I don't I do feel the cold but I don't feel the cold the way that a lot of people do.

See skinny people sometimes get cold when it's not cold. You know, it's like, it's so cold. It's bloody July, mate.

It's July, it's not cold. It might be a little bit chilly compared to what it was yesterday. It's not cold.

It's cold. It's not. I don't.

I feel it. I feel the cold when it's cold. That's where I'm when it's actually cold.

That's when I feel it. Yesterday, my hands are a bit chilly. Hands are a bit cold.

And it's windy. So I think that's probably why the cold kind of felt a bit more but I didn't feel cold. My hands felt a little bit.

But the rest of me, fine. I've got a weathered face anyway. You know, that's the one part that's always took the the full brunt of the weather, wherever, whatever time of the year, my face always gets it.

That's whether it's sunny, whether it's hailstones, whatever. So my face doesn't get that bothered by the cold or anything. But my hands get a little bit chilly.

But I've not worn gloves probably for two years. So I don't even need to it's not that doesn't bother me that much. But I'll probably if I'm going to be going out every day, either buy some new gloves or unless I've got some gloves somewhere, I don't know where they are.

If I do have some and then just wear them. That's it. So I need and I don't get cold.

I generally don't get really particularly cold. Not like proper like unless I'm waiting for a bus. That's when I really feel that when it's is cold and it's maybe snowing or it's raining and it's windy.

That's when I don't like being out in it. If I'm waiting for a bus any other time, not that bothered. If I'm going to the garage and I get soaked through it doesn't matter.

I'll get home and I'll get undressed and I'll put you know, get out of the wet clothes. I'll have a jacket on so it's not like I'm going to be getting soaked through. Like, you know, in a way that could give me the flu or I could get ill.

So I'm never far away from home in that situation. But it's that waiting for a bus. That's the thing that does me a bit.

And you say, well, you go, why isn't there no bus shelters? No shelters where you can, there is a bus shelter and it's actually quicker to get to than the bus stop I go to. You know why I don't go there? Because I have to cross the main road and the main road is a bugger to cross. Seriously, there's, it's, it leads to a motorway.

So it gives you an idea how busy it is. And you just can't get across. There's no, like the other side further up, I can cross because there's like those little, I don't know, you can get across one part of the road and then get across the other part of the road separately.

This just is this big road. And if one part stops going one way, you still can't cross because the other one's just not crossing, you know, they're not stopping. So sometimes I end up standing in the middle of the road.

One half of the road has stopped to let me cross, but then the other half is continuously going past not stopping for me. It's very strange. So I don't like it.

So I used to go there. It's handy because the bus stop has a shelter. So you don't need to get wet.

Yeah, I got nothing else to say on that subject. I'm not very, very pleased with how it went. You know, the whole con conversation about that bus shelter, but Oh, man.

Oh, what I really need to do is sit ups and I've got a sit up bench. So I might look at starting to do that today. But sit ups are easy.

It's like, oh, easier they okay, easy with the bench, not so easy having to sit down on the floor and go struggle a little bit getting up and up and down off the floor. When I'm just generally really just with with my back and whatever. So sit up bench is easier.

I can you know, doing 20 sit ups is is not even no energy involved. Because there is muscles under there. It's just covered with a big massive mountain of smelly, dirty fat.

So, you know what, though, I think it will reduce. And I'm coming in, I weighed myself at the doctors two weeks ago. Well, he let me use his scales.

And I was because he said, how much do you weigh and stuff? I said, Well, it was 100 grand. He said, have you put weight on? That's what he said. I think to do with the back pain, whether it might have a cause.

And I said, I don't think so. I was about 100 kilos last time I weighed myself. But that was two years ago, pretty much before COVID.

And I haven't weighed myself since. And he had some scales. So I weighed myself.

I think I came in at 101 kilos. And so for us, fair enough. I reckon if I lose five kilos off my stomach, my kit, my stomach can't weigh more than five kilos, surely.

And then not and then I'll be 94 or 96 kilos and slim. Well, slim, I might not be slim, but I'll be I will be slim or not look slim. But I will I think I end up being a slimmer, slimmer.

And I reckon if I just didn't drink any coke, didn't if I stopped eating biscuits, I'm not going to by the way. And if I stopped eating cakes, I'm not going to do that either. But I don't eat that many biscuits or cakes.

I don't. It's I do. I have liked the chocolate bars over the years.

But I've eaten less chocolate over the last couple of weeks than I normally do. And I had I didn't even have a whole can of coke yesterday. I didn't have a whole bottle of coke the day before.

So I'm not doing what I used to do. Not drinking the amount I used to do. And I'm probably more enjoying drinking tea, cups of tea.

But then I do have a sugar, I have a large, large sugar in it, every cup of tea that I have. And, and water and also orange juice. I do like a bit of orange, like orange.

Um, it's not actual juice, but it's Capri Sun. So that's it really, that's kind of my plan is to lose some fat, which ultimately, that's the that's the thing. It's not about losing weight, it's about losing fat, decrease the fat.

And the only real obvious place is my belly. Now, of course, I've I may have, I don't know about my bum. I've talked about this before.

I don't know how big my bum is. I know it's it's huge. But I don't know.

I don't know what the fat, the fat ratio is in my bop bop. But I know my tum tum huge is. And that might be partly the reason why my back is a problem because, you know, I have to bend forward to get to the to the desk.

That's my belly. I can't get close to the desk is my belly. Honestly, I'm nearly arm's length away.

Because I'm so fat, I can hardly reach. That's not true at all. I don't know why I'm saying that.

Not true. It's not true. I'm lying.

I don't know why I'm lying. No. Why? Why do that? Why would I lie? Oh, 6000 needs six and a half thousand downloads.

That's fine. Excuse me. Yeah.

Oh, blimey, mate. Blimey. So yeah, that's that's really where I am at the moment.

I thought I'd make a recording and it's a bit early in the morning. I don't normally do early morning recordings like this. But because I missed doing one last night.

I almost wanted to put this down as yesterday's recording, but I won't. Because it is today's to that 744 in the morning now. So, you know, on Friday, the 5th of November 2020 2020 2021.

Yeah. Yes, it is. Yeah.

When I saw your brown eyes, you said hello. And I said hi. Well, I was caught up in the middle of attraction.

But to my satisfaction. And if you ever, ever fall in love again, you're gonna be my friend. And if you ever, ever fall in love.

So true. Do you make it? Sorry. Sorry, everyone.

Oh, see, that's kind of it. Really. I got a fair bit to do today.

I get on with it. It's a bit weird. I don't be able to read.

It's a bit weird not really be able to hear myself properly when making a recording. But today, having made this recording, I haven't coughed too much. During this.

I mean, I go to cough, I put it on pause. And cough and then stop, you know, so I realize you're not heard me coughing, but I have been, but not as much as previous recordings. So I probably coughed maybe four times, three, three, four times during this recording.

And so that's, that's good. Yeah. Don't you think? It's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

I don't know what I'm doing. So I forget I'm talking to humans. Oh, the little mouse is back, I think in the kitchen, which is brilliant.

I went in there with my friend and I'm sure I saw pretty sure it's it might not have been because the windows open when I open the door things blow open, you know, because the the air from the door opening and the windows and the blind was wobbling around. So there's a chance I might not seen it, but I'm pretty sure I did see one. And because I look every time I go in there, every day, every time I always look to see if there's one running around.

And it hasn't been for months and months and months. But I've been quite lucky so far. There's the odd one and I catch it and that's it.

Or I block the place up and they don't come back. But for a while, I've not been overrun or anything like some of the other flats in the building. But yeah, I don't want that.

I don't want it. What I'm going to try and get is some expanding foam. So you basically it's what you use to seal up areas, which should be sealed up, you know, like when a boiler is put in, all the pipes there.

And then it's just the rest of it's all this empty space where the mice can get in and out. So I'm going to get some expanding foam and fill in every single possible gap that I can find. Which will hopefully prevent anything from getting in.

That's going to be my the thing I'm going to do next week, because I've got no money at the moment. But when I get paid next week, perhaps spend 10 quid or whatever and get some of that expanding foam and then go from there, see if it works. Because at the moment I've got it, I thought I'd had it all sealed up with duct tape.

But that doesn't make it and also I've got up, I've got this little trap I thought was a trap duct tape, but turned upside down and flat out on the just underneath the boiler before the kitchen sink. I thought anything run across it would get not stuck, I don't want to hurt anything, but I thought it would just get annoyed by it, you know, so it wouldn't want to go near it. But this looked like the mouse has run right over it, which doesn't surprise me considering how quick they move.

They basically fly, the little ones. But we'll see. We will see.

We will see. It's not lovely. So I'm going to go.

I just want to thank. Thank you for listening. And I will continue doing some of the older recordings, you know, doing it with music and stuff, editing those and uploading those, because these recordings that some of them are really good, you know, I've been listening to some of the sort of the anxiety recordings to read relaxation, hypnosis for anxiety and stress and stuff.

Some of those recordings, I put my heart and soul into them, I tell you, proper, like talking for an hour, and really opening up about my own life and stuff. Some of that stuff's pretty good. And I'll have to look into that again, and maybe start doing more of those.

Another podcast that's really starting to grow is the Stop Smoking podcast. Now, I didn't realize that people keeping an eye on that, but they are, because I made a few changes, and uploaded some of the older recordings with some music, and suddenly, big surge in downloads, which means I think I might start making some new Stop Smoking recordings. Because there's clearly an audience there on that podcast.

Still thinking about maybe doing a podcast for back pain. And my, my, I've got a podcast, I've not done anything on it, but I've made the actual podcast and it's up and running. But it's not shared anywhere.

And there's no content. But there is a picture, erotic hypnosis, Jason Newland. I don't know what to do with it.

I need a little bit of advice, preferably from my female listeners. Just like, I've been asked from women in the past, if I would do stuff like this. But at the same time, I don't want to do stuff like that.

I don't want to do that kind of podcast, and start to alienate or put off people from my other podcasts, because I am pretty kind of family friendly. In a way, I don't know, maybe not. I don't know.

But all professional, I've tried, although I'm professional, I'm really unprofessional at the same time. When I do recording for the serious, I stick to it and I'm serious with it. But I still tell the odd silly joke and that.

I don't know. Just tell me what you think. Let me know.

Maybe private message me if you want, if you think it's a good idea. Because I've built it and I've got, it's one of the, it's a really good little cover picture for the podcast. Got a big pair of lips on it.

I'm quite pleased with it actually, for some reason. Anyway, I'm going to go. Thank you for listening.

Remember, be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy. Honestly, be nice to yourself. Be gentle with yourself.

Just notice what you're saying to yourself. Okay. Lots of love.

Bye.
