I'm not sure. I don't know. No, no, no, no, no.
So yeah, I haven't, it's been a few days since I did one of these. I'm still in the process of editing and uploading some of my older recordings just so they're done. I've got about a couple hundred left and that's it.
Then every single recording I do will just be a new recording and I won't have to even think about the old stuff anymore. I say old stuff, some of it's not that old, but it's just redoing, pretty much just redoing what I had to delete at the end of, or the beginning of December. So it's taken me a couple of months, well nearly three months to complete that.
So it's quite a big old job. So you, yes, yes, yes, yes, it was. Yes, it is.
Big old, big old job. Big old juicy jobby. So yeah, other than that, everything's okay.
It's a really nice day today. It's blue sky, sunny, cold. Very, very, very windy.
Very, very windy indeed. And apparently tomorrow is going to be proper windy, like, like really, really windy. So there you go.
Yeah. Did anyone, um, did anyone want me to do a live stream of this, like on a daily basis? Please let me know. Because I don't know, just, I can't really decide for myself, really.

Where are we? One thing I want to send, uh, send my love to my step mum who's ill. She's got, uh, got the old COVID about two weeks ago and still ill with it. So she's seeing a doctor now and been to the hospital and had a chest x-ray and, um, just, I'm, I'm worried.
So yeah, just waiting to hear from her. She can't talk hardly at all. I know that if I, if I stopped being able to talk, no one would complain.
I mean, there'd be, there'd be flags and there'd be parties in the street. Jason, stop talking. Thank goodness for that.
We can all get on with our lives again. Oh, I'm trying to think, um, any messages that I might have. Um, I've got a message from Jen.
Hi Jason. Hope you're okay. Just checked out your last live Facebook film three days ago and you said you had deleted WhatsApp.
I said, yep. I'm quite sure what the point of that message was. Just confirmed it.
Yeah. Some people I think take on the, I have deleted stuff like that in order to, I don't know, because of them or something, but I didn't have nothing to do with Jen. Why not? Not got nothing to do with her.
I mean, it wasn't because of her that I deleted it. Besides Jen, if you listen to this, she got my phone number. You can text me and stuff on there.
You haven't got to text me on WhatsApp. No one else has my number. Why'd you make use of it? Because at the end of this month, anyone that has my number will no longer have my number because my telephone number is being deleted.
Deleted the end of February. All those millions of people that phone me every day. No more.
No, no, I can't see any messages. The basically my, the contract on my phone has come to an end. So I had a new contract.
I'll have to plug in my thingy. Wait a sec. I had to, I got a new contract with my phone in February last year.
And it was for a, because it gave me unlimited data. So I, you know, I just kept this, kept the same telephone number and I already had the phone. Now this laptop is going to be making noise, which is annoying.
Can you hear it? A bit of, bit of fuzzle, a bit of fuzzle in the background. And because it came to an end, I already had the phone separate anyway. That was a separate non-contract.
I was just paying for it and paying for the phone on its own monthly. So what I decided, because I have a new phone with another number, which I've never used because it's a new phone and I've never really needed to. But the idea was, I was going to just use, change the number over, just use my number that I've always had on new, on the new phone.
But they said I couldn't do that. Can't keep the number unless, what was, yeah, I said, can you change the same telephone number to just as a pay as you go? And they said they couldn't do that. Thinking about it, it doesn't sound right, does it? Because it was a pay as you go before.
I think they might be fibbing to me. Anyway, I'm getting rid of that number and I will have a new number, which is whatever the number is on the phone, the other phone. And I'll just contact five people and let them know.
That's it. Yeah. It's a shame, really.
I don't really want to get rid of the number because it's handy to not have to contact people. We'll see. But bit by bit, I want to get rid of the stuff that I've got.
Some of the stuff is regarding expenses. So, you know, running the podcasts, one of the expenses that's probably not recognized by people that don't do podcasts is it's a lot of Internet usage to upload stuff. So, for example, a 10 hour recording is 300 megabytes.
So, you know, if you think I've got those doing, I'm using a hell of a lot of data every month. The video, a simple video of, let's say, an hour is about 35, 45 gigabytes. And so, yeah, there's a lot of and because everything's moved from via the Internet to iTunes to iTunes to iCloud, where I can then share it with the other things that I've got.
This is boring, isn't it? Anyway, what the point is, I'm trying to I'm aiming to get rid of as much as possible. So I will get rid of that phone contract. So that ends at the end of this month.
Probably then. I've got a little bit left to pay on that phone. So pay off that phone as well.
So that's gone. And I might give that phone to my friend. And then I will keep the new phone as my main phone.
The problem is, right, is the problem I got. I bought the new phone to use as a camera. That was our sole reason because apparently, you know, cameras supposed to be much better and everything.
And the phone I had was it was due for a renewal, it was due for an upgrade. But saying that the phone is fine. The phone is perfect for everything I need it for.
I never use the other phone other than for camera to make videos. That's the only reason I use the other camp the other phone. So I'll probably be taking out the the SIM card out of the other one and putting it into the the old phone.
And then using that SIM card as a telephone number. But that's no good because I need the SIM card in there. I need the SIM card in the new phone.
Because in order to transfer 45 gigabytes of data to iCloud, which takes about an hour, if not more, it needs unlimited data, which is on that phone. This is confusing. And I can't use the phone when it's being done really.
I don't know, we'll figure it out. I just want to pay stuff off. I want to pay off the iPad and I want to pay off the laptop and just get as much gone as possible and then pay off the catalog.
And then I can start to look at the possibilities. Because I've been looking into going away. I've been looking into Thailand, getting away to Thailand.
And, you know, if it's possible, I'm just going to move over here a bit. So I'll move this microphone over there so I can still talk to you whilst using the laptop. And basically, I wanted to what is that? Oh, that's weird.
Five hours. A bit out of date there. History, don't know much geography, don't know much about the French I talk.
Okay, so that's 19. I'm a bit out of date there. I forgot something.
Okay. So I've been looking into what I need to do to go away to Thailand for just a holiday really to start with. If it works out well, I may look to move out there.
But for now, it's just to just to go there for maybe three weeks. It's just because of all the hassle of when you get out there, if you have to have to have a COVID test before leaving a COVID test when I arrive, so that's day one, then another COVID test on day five. And it's in a you have to book a specific hotel, which is aligned with the government and also connected to their private healthcare system.
So that if I came up as being positive for COVID, I would then potentially be taken to hospital regardless of symptoms and kept there for five days or however long and then charged like, you know, $200 a day and pay up front. So yes, it's not so much it's a scam. It sounds like a scam to scam foreigners out of money.
But it's I guess I think it's probably not it's really just Hmm. Well, they don't do that for their nationals, the people live there. If they get COVID, then they have to stay at home for five days or however many days is the same as I guess most countries.
But if you're a foreigner on holiday, tourism, tourist or whatever, then you get you might get taken to hospital. Whether you're real or not. So yeah, they're treating.
It's like it looks like a way of making money for them. But I might be wrong. I mean, it might be more a case of they trust their own people to stay at home.
When someone on a holiday might just if they feel well might say well stuff it. I'm going to go out and do what I want and go to the pub and drink and go in restaurants and not tell anyone I've got COVID. And some people have got a silly brain like that.
You know, some people are that inconsiderate. And you know, they just spread it. So I guess that's the I mean, I don't think Western has always got the best reputation abroad.
And it's only the few the few, the few bad ones to mess it up for the rest of us. Yeah, it's the few few thousand million bad ones that I mean, most people, I think most people generally are fairly decent. You know, just just generally.
I know it's a generalization. But generally, I think most people are okay. It's those occasional ones, isn't it? Those those little dum-dums that get through the net that really shouldn't be allowed to travel shouldn't really be allowed out on their own really.
Not without a helmet. 83. Oh, there we go.
So I've been looking into it. And there is a few hurdles, but I'm watching videos on YouTube and doing a bit of research on how to do it. And apparently there's a form online, which you need to fill in, but you need to add the information as you go through the form.
And some of that information is proof of a key first of all, your passport, you need to put that in, you need proof of a hotel booking. So you need to book the hotel first before filling the form in. So you can give the reference number and everything.
They've got a list of hotels that they accept. So it is very limited. They've got a list of hotels, a list of hotels that they recommend in order for you to pass the to get the pass to go to Thailand.
There's insurance you have to pay for. And you need to put proof of that in there as well. In the online, there's the flight as well.
So you need to prove to have the flight and prove the have the number for that flight or whatever ID for that. What other things do you need? Oh, you need to prove that you've had both the COVID tests, like both the COVID vaccines, although you are allowed to enter without a vaccine. But you need to go through stringent rules or whatever.
So I think you are allowed to enter without a vaccine, but they prefer people to have vaccines. That's my understanding. One of the things you need to do, oh, you have to have travel from the airport, booked the travel from the airport to the hotel directly so that you're not in contact with anyone else.
And that's another special services put on the cost money. Yeah, you have to pay to have the two tests, the two COVID tests on arrival and on the fifth day. So you have to pay for them ahead of time as well.
So I don't know how much that is. You have to have proof that you paid for that. So you need to put that into the information.
And I think that's about it. From what I remember, that's about all the information you kind of need. So you need to do all this stuff first, book a hotel, book the flight, get the insurance, make sure you got proof of the vaccine, book the coach or the taxi rather from the airport to the hotel, book the hotel.
So I have all that stuff all booked before filling the form in and then have all that information you can put into the form. And then I think it takes about a few days before they let you know whether or not you've been accepted. And then they give you a Thailand pass, which allows you to travel into Thailand.
So it's a faff. It's a proper proper faff to go through all that just to go on holiday. And I'm not I'm not hugely impressed of it, if I'm honest.
I understand, I understand kind of why. But at the same time, I don't see any other countries doing that. We may be made, I don't think even America or maybe Australia is.
I don't know. It's from my understanding, going to New Zealand or Australia, or even America is not these are places that are popular with England. But not always the easiest to get to, not always the easiest to enter.
And depending upon criminal records and why you go in there. And these are places where I think the governments are worried that we'd stay, we know we'll overstay our visa and stuff. Because I don't know, maybe not.
But then there was a while, not long ago, where you could just go to New York from England, get a plane, go to New York for the weekend. Was it six hours on a plane, something like that. You're there.
You have a nice, nice couple of days and you come home. And then you're back. So I'm not sure I might need to look into that.
85. I was actually going to go to America a while, a little while, a couple of years ago. I got invited to go to America and do a talk on, you know, kind of what I do, the hypnosis side of things.
But then I kind of didn't jump at the chance, which I really should have done, because it was an opportunity that may have led to something more. But me being me, I procrastinated and just like took my time and thought it through. And then suddenly we weren't allowed to leave the country anyway.
It's a bit of a shame. So that opportunity slipped through my feet. You never know, something else might come up.
It probably won't. It's my only chance. It's my one and only chance to start them.
Something else might come up. You don't know, do you? I mean, there's no way of knowing really. What the future holds could be wonderful for me and for you too.
You know, it might be great. Don't hold up much hope. It might.
No, of course it might. I'd like to come to America just anyway. I do.
I have this little fantasy. You know, people like to talk about is it what's that road, that big road that goes for miles, section 66, is it Road 66 or something? Route 66, isn't it? Yeah, it's Route 66. Just putting in 66.
The highway, which became one of the most famous roads in the United States, originally ran from Chicago, Illinois through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas. Yeah. New Mexico and Arizona before terminating in Santa Monica and Los Angeles, covering a total of 2448 miles.
And that's 3940 km. It was recognized in popular culture by both the songs hit song Get Your Kicks On Route 66 and the Route 66 television series, which aired on CBS from 1960 to 1964. I don't know about that.
Never heard of that before. And in John Steinberg's, no, in John Steinbeck's classical American novel, The Grapes of Wrath. 1939, the road highway 66 symbolized escape and loss.
The Grapes of Wrath. Well, it's piles, isn't it? That's just another word for piles. I've had the grapes of wrath in the past.
So I might do that. I might go to. So I'd have to start off in Chicago, wouldn't I? Go to Chicago.
And then travel all the way through. But I do it by bus. Do they still have the Greyhound buses in America? Do they still exist? I've got a lot of questions.
Please answer. Please answer me. Yeah, I'd like that.
My little fantasy is to travel through on a Greyhound bus and then spend a day, maybe longer in each town as I go through. So not only just go from Chicago to Illinois, but stop at every town along the way and stay in a motel or a hotel, whatever, for the night or for a few nights. So maybe spend a year doing it or I don't know how long I could get a visa for and just travel through.
So all those little towns that I've seen on movies, in movies and TV shows and documentaries. And I just want to see, you know, is it like that? It might not be like that at all. But.
I think it'd be cool to just, you know, travel for maybe just travel between towns, maybe don't need a Greyhound bus, maybe just a taxi. Maybe that's, maybe I could just, I'm not hitching it, but maybe, maybe I could walk it. That's silly, isn't it? Maybe just like an ordinary bus service.
Do they have buses in America that go between towns? Maybe trains. I could get a train between towns and just organize it before I go and literally just stop at every single town for, I don't know, a couple of days, maybe a week, maybe stop at every town for a week and, and spend, that means I'd only be able to visit 52 towns a year. No, I don't think that's really doable, is it? 52 towns a year.
I'm imagining there's quite a few more than 52 towns. How many towns in Chicago, for example? How many towns? Come on, give it to me. Give it to me, baby.
How many times? There's got to be lots of different towns. Surely it's not just one like village or one city, or is it? Chicago is a city. It is a city, so I suppose I was thinking of it as being an area.
Oh, okay. Yeah, so it's not really going to be. City of Chicago is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Illinois, and third most populous city in the United States, following New York City and Los Angeles.
We have a population of 2.7 million. That's not a lot, is it? 2.7 million people in a city, that's tiny, tiny amount of people, and I bet you it's big. I bet it's a massive area as well.
London's got about 10 million people. Wow. Oh, well.
It's Chicago. It's the windy city. Is it windy? Is it windy there? That's probably a really silly thing to say, isn't it? Oh, here's what I was thinking.
Chicago is the principal city of the Chicago metropolitan area, defined as either the U.S. Census Bureau's metropolitan. So, yeah, there's a lot of urban places. Chicago's one of the 40 largest urban areas in the world, almost 10 million residents.
So it spreads through, so there's going to be little towns, towns of Chicago. Chicago area towns. Chicago list of neighborhoods.
In Illinois and Indiana, townships are intermediate between counties and municipalities. Townships. I know they have townships in South Africa, or they used to.
I didn't know they had them in America. Townships. Oh, a breakdown three metropolitan.
Okay. Chicago metropolitan statistical area. So you've got Cook County, Kekalba County, DuPage County, Grundy County, Kankakee County, Kane County, Kendall County, McHenry County, Will County.
Blimey. And other areas here that's sort of part of it, I think. Jasper County, Lake County, Newton County, Porter County, Lake County, Kenosha County.
Blimey. So let's have a look at Cook County. So you've got a list of towns.
No, it doesn't. Why not? Oh, blimey, it does. It's got cities, it's got towns, and it's got villages.
Okay, so my idea of stopping at villages and towns, it'd take me 100 years to get through all of those. You got 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25 cities in the Chicago area. No, in the Cook County area of Chicago.
Cook County. I'm completely confused now. I don't know what's going on.
Sorry. I can't help that. It's not my fault.
I didn't do anything wrong. All I can do is my best, and I've done my best by trying to read out and I've just got it wrong. I don't know what's what anymore.
I'm confused. I'm afraid. I'm confused.
Really don't know. Really, really. I thought it'd be a little bit easier.
A little bit, a little bit, a little bit easier, but it's not. It's actually quite complicated, but it's okay. I suppose I can still, if I've got the Greyhound bus or got a bus coach or whatever, I could still travel through that area, couldn't I? There's no reason I have to stop at every single town, because clearly that's an impossibility.
Unless, unless I, I suppose, I mean, you know, 365 towns a year, especially if I, so I called it as part of my job. So if I did a specific podcast traveling through the USA, had a, you know, just did a podcast and maybe videos and stuff, maybe I could get some kind of specialist, special kind of visa to allow me to stay in America for as long as I needed to, to finish the task. And the task would be to visit every single town in America.
But then in a way, I'd quite like to visit every single town in my own country. But the problem with that is, well, part of the reason I quite like to go abroad is because it's, you know, in a lot of cases, it's nicer weather in other countries. And it'd be nice to also see something different, because what I've found, and it might be exactly the same in America as it is here, is towns start to look very similar.
I've been to quite a few different places in this country, been around, been up north, been southeast, west, wherever I've been traveled around the country over the years. And it's not really a lot of difference. It's just, you know, if you go into a town center, it's even more so probably, I think it's always kind of been the same similar ish.
But you've got a lot of the same shops, you know, the generic supermarkets, the generic pharmacies. See, it's almost you could be you could be in the same place, you could just be in exactly the same town. And there are some places.
For example, when I went to Lu in Cornwall, that definitely didn't look like a town that I've been to before. Because the town center was very, very different. The the way it was situated and the shops, it was very different to anything I've been to before.
And I liked it. I don't know if I'd want to live there. Although I don't don't see why not.
But I don't know. You know, just because it's a little bit. I don't know what it would be like in the winter.
This is definitely seems to be a tourist place. And I know, having lived in, in fact, I lived in two tourist places. When I was a kid, to two towns that had seaside and people used to travel to visit and there'd be caravan sites and near the beach, you know, so it was a tourist attraction.
And then in the winter, it's pretty quiet. But luckily, when I was at both those places, they didn't go to they weren't destroyed by relying on tourism. So there's parts and again, like Blackpool used to be one of the most popular places in the country to go to for summer holidays.
It was, I don't know how to explain it, but like, just really, really popular. One of the most popular places in the country. And it's not anymore.
And I've seen a few documentaries on the place and how it's, it's really kind of gone downhill. And the people that live there, they can't rely on tourism anymore, you know, the way they used to. And it's, it's got to be just strange.
I mean, where I lived, when I was a kid, growing up for a few years, or teenage years, where I lived without was a tourist attraction, you know, it wasn't the whole town wasn't dependent upon it. So often the people that really gained the most was the caravan sites, and they'd have their own shops on the caravan sites. And they'd have their own food places on the caravan sites.
And the places that probably make the most money from the tourism would be the shops and the arcades and all those things that were near the beach. But the actual town itself, it's the people that come into the town center and go shopping, but there's never anything much in the town center other than just basic shops. So yeah, because there's also the docks there as well.
We have the docks with the docks, which is the one of the biggest docks in Europe, which meant there was a lot of jobs. And you might say, Well, why didn't I do a job like that? Why did I go work at a chip shop for 27 pound a week? And by the way, if you're wondering how much that would be now, 47 pound. That's the equivalent of what I was earning back then.
And I just mean, it's unbelievable. Really, I can't believe 24 pounds back in is now worth 42 pounds, something like that. I mean, I just can't really get my head around it.
That anyone would be paid such a small amount of money. Oh, no, I'm wrong. 79 pounds, 27 pounds.
I was wrong, I was wrong. 88 pounds. So I was earning 88 pounds.
So if you want to know what that is, in currency 88. Okay, right, get rid of that. $119.
So when I left school, I was earning the equivalent of now $119 a week. So what could you do with $119 a week? See, I don't actually think I'm thinking 88 quid. What I was able to get for 27 pounds a week.
I don't think it was worth 88 pounds. When I think about it, because obviously things were cheaper then because it's 30 odd years ago, 35 years ago, but I don't know. Why do I keep thinking about the past? I don't know.
Why won't I just let it go? I'm not sure. Don't you know? There's much bigger things to think about. Shut up.
So I think Thailand's definitely something that I'm thinking about. Something I've been thinking about for a long time now. Many, many, many, many, many, many months.
Maybe over a year. I don't know. I lose track.
And I've talked about it before. I've talked about the reasons. Maybe not all the reasons, but the majority of the reasons is the benefits.
First of all, it's not here. So I know it's just a holiday, but I'm thinking about maybe trying to move there. You know, go out there, rent an apartment or rent somewhere nice.
And you know, for a year and just live out there, get a monthly or every three month visa. You know, just renew it and stay out there because it's, it is cheaper than living out here where I am. So it's just thinking about it, thinking about it.
And if I could earn a living out there online, you know, doing podcasts, YouTube videos, maybe writing books, just things that bring in a little bit of income. You know, I say writing books, like it's just nothing. Obviously I can do podcasts because I do it.
I can make videos, maybe not great videos, but I can make videos. Yeah, I'll just write a book. Yeah, I'll just create a, create a rocket as well while I'm at it.
So blase, let's write a book. Well, the reason I say it like that is because I'd like to write a book. And I've been, I've been transcribing my recordings for months and months and months.
And we're doing everything for months and months and months, everything in the hope that I will then be able to create a book. I mean, one book I've got in mind is just the story, my just my little story of my little life. And it's not going to be necessarily interesting to many people, but someone might want to read about it.
So and a lot of it is not necessarily it's you say, well, you already taught you told us everything. I haven't. I really haven't.
But that's because I like to try and keep things fairly light hearted. And, you know, okay, I've mentioned quite a few bits and bobs. And I guess I've been vague, but also in a way that you can read between the lines.
But I'd quite like to just put it on paper. Just give just right, just maybe it might be useful for me to be fair. But it can give you an idea of kind of not why I am like I am.
Because I don't feel the need to justify or explain myself. But just and also, no matter how deep or dark or sticky I get with the book, I still want it to have humor, you know, I still want it to be to be able to have a laugh. I don't want to be writing something super serious.
Although I don't want to ignore our lovely planes coming. As soon as they need a little bit of sunshine, a blue sky, that knob knob person comes out in his plane. And we hear for hours is that stupid plane.
Oh, well, that for hours and hours and hours. And still hasn't crashed. Why can't he just fly somewhere else? Why is he gonna fly over my house? Why go away? I mean, my dad was here one day.
I moaned about a plane. So it's lovely. Sounds lovely.
Honestly, he just has to always say the opposite to what I say. Remember I said to him once about a noisy neighbor I had, I said, Oh, it's not a problem. That's not a problem.
It's not a problem. Obviously, I've just been moaning about it for 10 minutes. It's clearly a problem to me.
It's not a problem to you because you live somewhere else. In your detached house, where you don't have any noisy neighbors. And if they were, you'd hardly hear them anyway, because you're not connected to them.
You're separated by quite a distance. It's not a problem. I've got issues.
I got issues, baby. Oh, yeah. No, I haven't.
Can't get on with everyone, can you? No. Do me a favor. Stick your tongue.
So was that 200? Okay. Just doing something else while I'm talking to you. I'm uploading stuff.
So, I don't know. The thing for me to go to Thailand would be firstly, the weather. Although, not necessarily a big fan of heat.
Intense heat. And Thailand is hot. Not all the time, but it's a hot country.
Tropical, isn't it? It's paradise. So, it takes a bit of getting used to. On that side, I'd want to be, I'm going to want to be taking my top off.
So, I need to sort of get myself a little bit fitter before I could do that. However, because of having a deficiency in my vitamin D, I would, I imagine, I imagine I would gain a heck of a lot and beneficial by being in a country that's warm enough to get outside as often as I want. So, I can not sit in direct sunlight, but I'll be out in the daylight, the bright daylight, and I'll be absorbing a lot of vitamin D. Hopefully, easily enough for what, you know, for health.
That's kind of a new reason to go out there. The third thing I'd like to go out there for is, um, um, what's it? Well, it's a Buddhist country. So, I'm, I'm into Buddhism.
I'd like to be able to go somewhere where I can practice, meditate with other Buddhists. And this face says it shouldn't be that difficult because you can, you can meditate in the street because there's shrines and stuff, you know, so there's, and people don't, don't bat an eyelid. They don't, they're not worried.
It's just natural to, uh, you know, because it's a Buddhist country and that, that appeals to me. It really does, um, in a big way. People bow to each other, which is a Buddhist thing.
So, it's a Buddhist, uh, you know, the whole bowing. I know people bow, uh, in Japan and China and stuff, which you could say it's an Asian thing, but actually, um, in Thailand, they're doing it for, because of Buddhism, because it's a respect bow and they'd like, it's almost like you're bowing to the inner Buddha, the other person. It's kind of, so I'd like to do that.
I think that'd be cool. Um, the other thing would be, um, the, the food. I'm not, I mean, I've got no interest in Thai food, which is just contradicting what I just said.
I mean, I'm not, I'm not interested in like the food as in the type of food, but it would give me an opportunity to be a vegetarian because there's so much food available in Thailand and because a lot, a lot of Buddhists are vegetarian, then there won't be, there'd be no shortage of vegetarian food for me to eat and to be able to buy when I'm out without having to cook anything, because I've got no intention of cooking anything when I go out there. Why? Why would you need to? If you've got people to cook for you and the food is cheap and when you do buy the food out, you're helping them to earn a living, it's a win-win as far as I'm concerned.
And if it saves me having to sit and cook, especially sitting in a, in, in a heat, having the oven on, because all the buildings, the apartments have to have air conditioning because it's too hot otherwise.
So to sit indoors and cook with the oven on would, that'd just be, I imagine, unbearable. So I'm guessing most people wouldn't want to have the oven on. I'm guessing.
It's just a guess. Don't blame me for guesses. I'm not responsible for what guesses I have.
I'm not responsible for that. Then there's the ladyboys and then the other thing is I'd like to, um, um, this, the, the, uh, what's it called? Muay Thai. The Muay Thai boxing, which is basically kickboxing.
It's Muay Thai and it's, it's all kind of part of the almost sort of religion-y kind of thing as well. But it's Muay Thai and it's, that would, that would suit me because I like martial arts and it would be an opportunity to just get fit or keep fit, you know, doing something that's enjoyable. So a bit of punching, bit of kicking and stuff and just take it easy.
Of course, at my age, I have to be a bit more careful, which I got no issue with. I'm not, I won't be joining because I want to, well, you know what? It would be good to compete only in a sense of, I've always wanted to. And when I have competed, when I did karate, I competed.
Um, but that was, you know, that was different. It wasn't in a ring. It was on a mat and there was people, you know, it was, it's different.
I was a kid. I was a 14, 15, whatever. But to do, to do kickboxing or Muay Thai, the discipline and the vig, the vigorous, vigorous and rigorous training would be, I think it'd be useful.
Also helped me to slim a little bit, lose a bit of weight or lose some fat rather. And so, you know, from that perspective, eating well, eating vegetarian, although I might not, but generally if I was eating, eating well, training and there's the exercise, cause I like to walk. So I'll be walking long, long walks in on the beach or along the prom, uh, maybe even go swimming in a swimming pool in a, if there's a hotel or whatever, or the apartment's got a swimming pool, not going swimming in the sea.
It's never going to happen ever. I might go for a walk along the sea, you know, with my feet in the water, like paddling, paddling. Yeah.
Paddling. I mean, they look like women, but they're not. So yeah.
Um, I, what other things I'd like to, the idea of testing to see if it's possible to earn a living kind of on holiday. I mean, technically it wouldn't be a holiday because I would be working, but not, I wouldn't be working eight hours a day. It'd be a few hours a day.
I'd might make two or three recordings on the podcasts. Now, if I was making videos regularly, then that's where the time comes in because of the editing of the videos. So that could take up more time than I'd want to give.
But another, another thing I'd like to do is I want to really, one of my loves, and I'm talking one of the things I love the most of in my whole life was reading or is reading. I'm saying was reading because I've almost, um, lost, lost that passion. It's something that I don't know what it is.
I don't know why. I think it might be a mixture of distractions because of the television, because of all the streaming, because of the internet. Since the internet really occurred, I'm still reading.
I'm still reading stuff on websites and I'm still reading. I don't know what it is. Maybe because I'm more creating stuff.
I'm reading less, but I love reading and reading was, it is like my first love pretty much. Yeah. My first love is, I guess it's to me like boobies.
They're just, I love books. They're just something that I've always loved. Um, but yeah, I love, I love books and just all books.
I don't want to read all books, but I love all books. I respect books generally. And, you know, I've got a fairly decent collection of books, but I look at them and I don't really want to read them.
Strange, isn't it? And I think also with audible, is it audible? I listen to audio books. So I don't want to replace reading with listening to, I want to do both. I want to have, so listen to an audio books really handy.
Uh, if I'm sort of doing something on the internet, uh, working on the website, uploading stuff or walking somewhere, listening to an audio book is great. Especially with my headphones on, uh, blocking out the world, you know, it's just, it's nice. So if I'm on a bus, so I'm not listening to people and it's, it's more relaxing.
Although I tend to listen to music. I tend to more listen to Spotify if I'm on the bus than listening to an audio book, but I don't want it to replace, you know, and it's not going to because most of the books that I've got, especially hypnosis books are not available on audible. A couple are, but not many, not hardly any at all.
So, you know, I've got books from quite old books on hypnosis that are not anywhere near, can you hear that background of the computer? Unplug it. I'm not going to bother unplugging it. I'm coming to an end anyway.

So I'm just thinking like, I don't know how to go about the first steps of heading away or go, you know, it would be a holiday to start with. So if I go to Thailand, it will be a holiday. I'm not just packing up and leaving and just no, I'm going to go on holiday first because I might not like it.
There's a chance, you know, but it seems like a healthy, in a way, a healthy place to go. I can, there's lots of health places. You get massages, you can get help, skin treatments and there's gyms and there's fitness places, places you can get your hair done, your nails done, your makeup done, whatever.
Not that I need, I don't have a, I don't have need for some of those things generally, but you know what? I'd like to go and get my nails done. Not, I don't want nail varnish done or anything like that, apart from the clear one, but I'd like to go and have a manicure and have my nails done nicely on my hands and also on my feet. Cut and, you know, shaved or whatever, whatever they do to make it nice.
I like to have my feet regularly massaged and just make my feet nicer as well. Not nicer, they're not, I haven't got gross feet, although, I don't know, maybe I have. I can't see them.
I haven't seen my feet in years, but does anyone here ever, like anyone that's a little bit overweight, do you ever balance a mirror on your feet and then just have a little look to see what it looks like? No? Okay, forget it. So yeah, it's something that I'm thinking of doing anyway. I might, I might go, as I said, for maybe a couple of weeks, three weeks, go to the hotel, so for the first five days, book a hotel for the first five days or six days, whatever, so that it's the hotel that they do the tests and everything and then when that's done, go find somewhere cheaper because there's, there's, there's rooms in hotels for like 16 pounds a night and 16 pounds a night, 16, yeah, $21.
You can't really argue with that, can you? You know, $21 or 16 pounds for a room with a bed, double bed, settee, you know, and just, and breakfast as well. I mean, that's, that's, to me, that's pretty good. Pretty, pretty good.
So that's what I'll do, do that and then I'm still not sure which part I'll go to, Phuket, Bangkok, Pattaya or Pattaya? We'll see. I think Pattaya really because that's something that I've sort of looked into. Looks like a nice beach and everything seems to be fairly close to each other, which is what I need because I don't drive.
So I can't rent a car, I can't rent a motorbike because I don't drive. So I'll be dependent upon taxis and, and I don't really want to be dependent upon that because the roads, I want to be able just to walk home, not home, well, depending if I'm, if I'm living there, yeah, home, but I want to be able to just walk back to the hotel. So as long as hotels are in a 10 minute walk, 15 minute walk, I'm fine.
So it needs to be near the beach, near where the social life is, but maybe just a little, just far enough away for it to be quiet, maybe. And perhaps, you know, I'll just rent a bicycle or buy a bicycle when I'm out there. I might as well rent one, if I can get one and then just cycle around.
So, because I don't, I don't drink alcohol anymore. I can't seem to drink alcohol. I bought two, two four packs of Fosters a few days ago.
I think it was Saturday night or Friday night or something. I don't know. And I had one can and that was nice.
Well, it was okay. And then I couldn't drink anymore. Tried it the next day.
Nope. So I just don't have, I can drink if I go into a pub, went to a restaurant, have a nice meal, I can drink. I've got no issue.
So it's not like that I won't drink ever or that I can't drink. But for some, for some reason, being at home, sitting here drinking doesn't, doesn't do it for me. But if I was, I guarantee if I was on holiday and a nice pint of lager, Fosters, whatever from the draft, you know, poured out, it'd just be perfect.
Strange. I don't know. So at least that's another thing I don't need to worry about.
I'm not going to go out to Thailand and end up with a drink issue because alcohol is cheaper out there than it is here. And there's a lot of it. And you can pretty much drink all day long.
So because of that, I'm not really a drinker. I don't think that's ever gonna really be an issue. And also drinking when it's really hot, you're drinking because you're thirsty.
So what you need is water, not lager. You know, you don't drink lager because you're thirsty, you drink because it's alcohol and it's got, you know, so I don't want to be, I don't want to fall into that where I'm just drinking more and more lager because basically I need the liquid. Yeah, I'll be dehydrating myself at the same time.
So yeah, we'll see. I love also having a beach. I love the beach to look out at the ocean to sit on the beach under a coconut tree or whatever Thailand's equivalent is.
And to be able to just relax, maybe read a book or something, you know, that would just be lovely. As long as I had a degree of physical health and exercise every day, eating healthily, not all the time. I mean, you know, gotta have a burger and chips every now and I think it's just, it's just important to not, just to have a little treat, you know, but not every day.
So eat well, exercise every day, make new podcasts every day, maybe two or three a day. I mean, I'm thinking I could even maybe take the microphone onto the beach and when there's no one around, find a place that's quite secluded early in the morning or maybe late at night, early in the morning, probably better if I'm going to video it and just make a nice relaxation hypnosis session with the sea in the background or find someone, find, find a place where a nice scenic view, maybe where there's a waterfall or something and make a recording with that in the background. You know, who knows? There's lots of options, lots of possibilities.
And the other benefit is I'll have something to talk about because I don't, I don't do hardly anything here. So every day will be something a bit new, it'll be something that I've seen, something funny that's happened that I can talk about or some strange occurrence. So yeah, you know, I'll be careful to not be too interesting.
Don't want these podcasts to be too exciting, otherwise I'll have to change the name of them. Yeah, change the name. So I'm going to go.
