#742 Let me bore you to sleep - I AM MAKING A VIDEO - Jason Newland (4th OCTOBER 2021)

Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland and this is Let Me Bore You To Sleep. I'm laughing because I'm just looking at myself on video and I've got two cameras, no two microphones in my face. It reminds me of a video I watched recently.

Anyway, oh blimey. So yeah, only listen when you can safely close your eyes. I'm testing the microphone.

See I've got the normal microphone that I use for the podcast and I've got a new microphone that I'm using that plugs into the camera. So the idea is that I make, and as I think about it I'm thinking maybe you need to do this so that the frame isn't, make it a little bit tidier for the screen. It's basically just microphones and me and a big pig, pink pig in the background.

So yeah, anyway this is, it's not an experiment, although it is, but it isn't, but it is. I was going to do a live stream but Facebook is down. I could just about get Facebook up as in the page but try and do anything, ain't gonna happen.

So Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp apparently have been down today. Oh well. Just have a drink there.

So this is a bit weird for me because I've done a stream before, but I've never had this set up. I can't quite show you the setup that I've got because it would mean moving stuff around and, but I've got, blimey, so the iPad, the camera, the microphone there and other equipment over there that powers this and powers that. And then I've got the iPhone and the iRig preamp that plugs from there into this camera which is a Shure SMB7 or something.

This is also Shure but it's a different version of that one. Oh my stomach just went bleh. So and that's it.

If you're listening on the podcast this is going to mean nothing to you because you can't see me, which is probably why my podcast is so popular because you can't see me. Now once you can see me it might take away some of the mystique or mistake whichever you want to look at it. Looks like I've got no shoulders but I have.

It's like, it's like, you know shoulder pads from dynasty back in the 80s? That's what it looks like except my shoulder pads are in the shape of microphones. Yeah it's a bit strange. I mean technically I could probably get it set up so the microphone's above my head for the camera.

So that might work. Or have it so the microphone's there. So that's a way so I could basically, yeah that's another way of doing it.

So the cam, so the microphone's just below the thing. This needs to be quite close. The podcast one needs to be fairly close because of the type of mic.

Well they're both similar microphones. You need to be quite close to them. Although I just watched a an interview with Jacob Rees, Jacob Rees Smogs or whatever and they were outside and this bloke was interviewing as he was walking along and he wasn't like a BBC reporter just uh I guess a YouTuber or something.

The quality of the sound was phenomenal. Like really good. It was perfect and they were outside and there was cars, there was people, probably wind.

How he got the quality of the sound so good I don't know. I should ask him. Don't know who he is.

How can I ask him? I don't know. So yeah I'm not sure how this is going to work out as far as the the actual video goes but the podcast will just be the same as normal. Just having a quick look.

It's running but the video I don't know. I hope that the sound will be a lot better than it would be if I was just talking on camera like it is normally. Simply because of the investment.

Camera, this microphone is not cheap. Even a stand that it goes on is not cheap. And then the preamp.

So it's got to be one to yeah nearly 500 pounds worth of equipment just to just to have this set up. I think something like that maybe less. I can't remember.

So just to give you a little update on the stats because I know everyone's interested like stop talking about microphones tell us about the stats JJ. Okay well today no wow it's half 11 still two hours left still two hours till the end of the day and I've had 26 and a half thousand downloads today. I've done three recordings so this will be uploaded by half 12 which will only give me an hour but from the looks of that I might break my record because my record for a day is 28 239.

That's the most downloads I've ever had in one day. So I'm less than 2000 away from that. I've never been so excited in my whole life.

Oh I actually could I feel I'm going to break my record today. It's weird because I started off the day with the intention of breaking my record. How weird is that? And then and then this afternoon late afternoon the so I was I'd made a recording trying to upload it.

The internet was down not like the broadband but um the data you know the mobile data was down and I've got four devices that has unlimited mobile data all individual and none of them were really working very well so it took hours to upload the stuff. So I was thinking I don't know if I'm gonna be able to break my record today because because because of the wonderful things he does.

They're not going to be how can people listen if they're not there if they're not uploaded but eventually and this was about three o'clock I was still I came back I went out I had had a little break went out with my friend and got some stuff from the shop sat in the park for 20 minutes played on the swings no we didn't and then came home and I got back to it and the amount of times I was uploading and then after like five or six minutes ten minutes it failed the upload failed because

of the data and I thought what's going on what is going on and then I got a knock from another neighbor asking me am I having problems with my mobile phone because he can't use his because basically he's uh his wife lives in another country I'm gonna see if I can wear glasses because my eyes are getting tired that's better um I give me two seconds I'm gonna turn the television off because it's glaring in my eyes wait a sec I'm trying to sit down without you seeing my belly my big fat smelly belly so

that's better look there's no glare in the old glasses in my old glasses um yes I get back and I'm off anyway this my neighbor said uh you could get onto the internet but for very like basic basic things but making calls on whatsapp uh using facebook for to do anything couldn't even send a facebook message so then I realized okay it's not just me and even now when I went to make a live stream all excited because I got this new equipment I can now do a live stream and it might sound okay oh

ever so excited and then um wouldn't allow it wouldn't allow it would not alert so yeah a bit annoying slightly but it's okay it's all right it's all right I don't mind well so this is the first step towards me properly properly recording my podcasts so what I'll do when I finish the video I'll finish the podcast and I'll do what I need to do there and then I will edit the video edit out the coughing that I did but all that stuff I suppose I could leave it in it's just coughing isn't it I

mean it's not the end of the world and but yeah I'll probably edit that out and then I'll upload it I'll probably try and make it look okay as far as video goes but these microphones are a little bit intrusive so I might try and figure a way around that and not quite sure how though not quite sure how I mean I could try and have it so the microphone comes down so the microphone is there but is it a big issue I mean what are you missing okay you can see my face unfortunately you

can see it but is anyone gonna complain oh we really wanted to see your shoulders no no one's gonna miss my shoulders oh there's nothing to see I've got a t-shirt on look there's nothing here nothing here at all I don't know I don't know you know it's early days early pearly days as far as me getting back into YouTube so I just thought hey if I've got this equipment for a reason there's no point not using it I put it off I mean I've had it I've had the microphone for about I don't know

about four or five days but I couldn't when I got it I couldn't use it without the preamp so I had to get a preamp and I got that through today and I also needed the stand because I've got I've got a few microphone stands like ordinary microphone stands but they're on the floor and that's in the way this is attached to the desk as is this one that's attached to that desk over there because I've got two desks and a table and this is kind of the office setup it's not really an office because

it's not a business but you know if it this is my setup for podcasting and for making videos our laptop there I've also got a camera I can't reach it because wait a second oh I can get through this way there we go so this is a camera I've got it's not the one I'm using but it's only ZV1 that's it it's only ZV1 I don't know if you can see that now I'm going to figure out how to use this thing in conjunction with the microphone and then start to maybe make videos on here

as well but that'll be a separate thing maybe outside videos maybe I don't know I'm still in the process of sort of figuring out how stuff works but at the same time I don't have oh there you go bye bye carry on playing I don't have huge amounts of time to devote to learning how things work in a sense of there's podcasts to make and because I've got quite a few different podcasts that need feeding I don't like little little animals they need feeding these little podcasts I'm referring to the podcast not the listeners on

the podcast did he just say we like animals I like listening to them again no the podcasts themselves they're like my children I guess except I like them I'm joking I don't like them I love them I love them a lot so I'm kind of excited to see how the video turns out how the audio I can see how the picture is already now it probably could do a little bit more light in here and I do have a light I've got a light over there big round thing no not a bulb you know the

the ones that you can put your to be fair wow I didn't think of that it's got a thing so I could actually if I wanted to have the camera in the middle of it and have the light there the only problem with that is because of my goggle my goggle I've got goggles and lights shine in the lens which isn't ideal now I can just sit here without my glasses on but in fact I'm gonna put my other glasses on because they're better for me that's better these are my normal glasses that I can

actually see through um I can't see the screen very well but these are my sort of day-to-day glasses I look weird I don't know but those are the ones in my my oops just make the microphone those are the ones in my reading glasses and I use them for computer work so yeah it's it's a progression this is all a progression I hope and I didn't think I'd be interested in having the video but now I'm doing it now I've got the equipment and now hopefully oh what's that no wonder it's not being worked oops

I'm banging everything here oh no that's not excuse the banging now that everything's kind of coming together about to happen eventually I suppose it's I quite like it now you know there's work needed uh in the sense of from a visual perspective just having my face on the screen isn't great but having all these microphones stuck in my face I don't know I really don't know I'm not sure but the idea of having this microphone is so I don't have to have the camera really close so I can have it as a distance you can

see me you can see behind me and see some of my books me hitting those books you can see all those wires on a desk it's all messy this has been really tidy up till today and suddenly I started moving things around trying to fit stuff together like where's it going to go where's this thing going to go I can't have how many microphones can one person have well I guess you have as many as you need now I know there are ways of having just one microphone connected to everything and everything's connected to each

other and I don't know how to do that I don't so I'm doing the best with what I've got if that makes sense I'm giving it a go I'm giving it a go doing my bestest so using this setup with the phone with the iPhone should give me a decent video now I might be able to have this whole setup with that camera which may be I'll be honest I'm not sure if the picture's any better on that camera because this is top of the range you know with a bit better lighting it'll be a

better picture but the thing with iPhones the only thing that I ever had an issue with was the audio and to be as far away as I am from the camera um I don't know I don't know if the camera or the I guess the camera on the phone would even pick up my voice but then I'm right close to it I feel like I don't I'm doing that microphone now I need to like give that one a bit of attention that's right Mr.

Podcast microphone Mr.

Camera microphone oh I just want to close my eyes I'm a bit tired it's been a busy day a busy busy busy busy day yes what was that noise hope it's central heating and now it's else uh so yeah this is good and it's quite weird because when I got this microphone I bought two DRL leads or DLR whatever and they're you know the old the old-fashioned microphone leads that plug into the back the three pin things on the description of this what I bought it said you need two of those leads so I bought

two leads when I got it I realized that because I already had two microphones I could just use those leads which is what I did but when I got this I wasn't expecting to use that lead because what I was trying to do was to plug it straight into the computer but that didn't work and then I decided to try and do it with the phone with the iPhone again when I got this iRig and everything together I didn't realize I was going to need to plug the pin you know the DLR DRL plug into

there and then that goes into the iRig but luckily because I had two new ones in a packet still that hadn't opened they were there so that was good otherwise I would have not been able to use both at the same time I've never been happier in my life really it's amazing it's so pleased so pleased yeah so yeah it's getting a little bit messy in here though it was quite tidy last week I had the desks or a few weeks ago anyway however long I've had these desks a month maybe three weeks I lose

track and bit by bit gradually more and more rubbish has just found its way onto the surface tops of these desks and there's stuff on here that I now can't move because I'm not sure what they are and there's wires that I don't want to just get muddled up because there's so many different wires and plugs and I've got a whole box of whole big box of plugs and wires that's in the storage room I don't know what half of them are for so I need to find I need to do some kind of labeling

and maybe have like a wall rack and just have them all like hanging up the wires hanging up with a label of what they're for it might sound a bit overkill but there's a lot of wires honestly and see even for my shaver my beard trimmer I don't know I've got a beard trimmer I've got a new blade come through today I don't know where the plug is for it you know it's just like oh great brilliant absolutely brilliant did you know that when it's May has become Wade and a true shame can be seen

baby so yes it's all right and two nights ago I don't know if I mentioned it not last night but the night before I woke up and I was wide awake and I put on my wall I'm not gonna if I move the camera it's gonna be a bit weird I'll try and move the camera so you can see it oh no I can't it's gonna knock stuff over if I move the camera but I've got all this stuff on the wall all these targets and stats and you know from the just from the this

year this present year just trying to figure out what I've done and where I'm going and what I want to achieve what I'm looking to achieve not just now but until the end of this year so there's three months basically October November December and I guess at some point I'll start thinking about next year but I want to focus on this year first because this is this is the year we're in isn't it oh dear I actually bored myself with that sentence I did I've actually seen this who's guess who that is look it's my

little boy I'm just showing my my phone up to the camera still see him every day little Andre yeah still thinking about where would I like to go where would I like to go um as far as traveling or maybe even living maybe even moving away to another country although if I moved somewhere um the ideal situation for me would be to visit first but really visit you know if I was going to move to Thailand I'd need to visit and stay there for three months on a visa whatever is it three months you can

stay there for and just get to know the place and just get to decide if it's for me and because I'm not a driver and I don't really want to I don't want to be driving around on a motorbike or moped for me I'm a walker and I like the idea is I'd live near a beach I'd have an apartment near a beach and I'd have what I would need was would be um really good internet while I was away and I basically need to take all my equipment with me which in itself would be

a suitcase a big suitcase so what I would probably plan to do is take my equipment with me so I could make the podcasts videos and then with the old camera there I'll make lots of videos while I was out and about as well just to just interest just for a bit of fun and I'd need the laptop so I could do the editing the iPad and you know I'd have to organize some kind of way of getting the best broadband that I could have because I would need I need a lot of internet to

do what I do especially if I'm going to be streaming you know so what I would probably do is I would take one suitcase I'm banging the microphone again I would take one suitcase with the equipment in one handbag handbag one like small bag with personal things like passport toothpaste toothbrush uh I don't know chastity belt you know just general stuff and and then when I got there I'd buy clothes so I'd buy clothes when I got to Thailand and they have clothes shops and they said just buy some stuff there that way I'm not

lugging around lots of things I mean technically I could go down the route of buying equipment when I got there get it get there and say okay well um you know I'm gonna take my laptop and but then buy a microphone but to me that just seems a bit excessive to sort of be paying out that money because for this setup it's thousands of pounds and that's a lot to lay out isn't it just you know if you've already got the equipment why would you go and buy it again kind of that's my thinking so

I'm just uh I don't know I like to travel light because I'm so heavy as a person I like to travel I don't like carrying things around I don't honestly I mean I just don't it's just it's uncomfortable it's not fun can you hear that I've got the window open which is probably a bit silly considering to be fair I'm not the silly one because it's midnight and there's a train making all that noise I'm not the silly one am I it's the train blame the train not the window that's open it's my philosophy what

a great philosophizer I know it's true I'm very good at philosophizing I think I might write a book one day so yeah that's I'm thinking of that Thailand and but it's other places I'd like to visit I'd like to visit Australia America Canada Mexico and I think I quite like to visit the whole of Europe yeah Denmark France I've been to France once I've been to Belgium I've been to Bulgaria I've been to Ireland and I've been to Spain other than that I've been nowhere else so I'd like to I'd like to go back to

Bulgaria I think I'd quite like to go there during the summer because it's supposed to be like they've got beaches that are amazing and then I'd have to get myself into a a summer kind of body I don't know how we're gonna do that outside of exercising so I suppose that could yeah that's a good idea yeah yeah yeah great I don't know I mean it kind of has to be done the alternative ain't great if I don't get fitter it's basically get fitter or fatter isn't it it's kind of the the two options we

have where else America Scotland of course Scotland's a beautiful country Wales beautiful country Ireland I went to well to be fair Southern Ireland Carlo is it near Kilkenny I think Kilkenny just reminds me of the the the cartoon oh no they killed Kenny and I'd like to visit the north as well I'd like to visit the south and the east I'd like to sort of have a little go at all different sort of parts of Ireland because because our heritage there I've got my grandmother was Irish well her both her parents were Irish but they

moved to London to work and then she popped out so both of her parents were Irish but she was English because she was born in England but she was Irish because both of her parents were Irish and both of her parents parents and their parents parents and grandparents and going back hundreds if not thousands of years were Irish so it's a hard one is it was she Irish or wasn't she what's what I found strange is her brother was he had an Irish accent okay and I said to my nan why has he got an

Irish accent she said what do you mean what do you what do you mean what do you mean I said stop talking like that she went through a phase where she just couldn't put it's like just it wasn't that she couldn't put sentences together she just knew it annoyed me whenever she went she's like stop it just did it to wind me up anyway I said why is your brother brother that you know your brother she's I can't say you know my brother I was born with him you born with him it's not your twin

oh that's what you think but he's not your twin oh keep keep thinking that sonny but he's not it's not your twin he's older than you oh you keep thinking things like that oh you want oh her accent changed quite a lot but I said to my nan said why is your brother because my nan was a Londoner she was a proper Londoner and born in east London proper cockney kind of and she moved to north London after the blitz or during the blitz because east London got hammered by the old doodle bugs or whatever

they were they got dropped by our rivals at the time and I said to her why why why does your brother have an Irish accent and my nan said I don't know oh let me tell you let me think about it for a while I don't know why and he said I said he was born was he born in Ireland she said no no you were not born in Ireland or Ireland he wasn't born he was born in London east London he was a cockney a cockney but he had an Irish accent and I said

why and he said well my nan said well listen I said I'm listening there's only me and you here she said stop it I will hit you again with the switch switch um anyway she said the reason he had an Irish accent as far as she could make out was that he grew up in a house with both parents speaking Irish or with an Irish ex both parents had Irish accents and then he married an Irish girl when he was young when he was like a teenager so 18 or something so he lived with an

Irish lady for I don't know 45 years or something so he was always around his the most important people in his life were had an Irish accent so he just just had an Irish accent and even though he was living on his own and his wife had passed who would be my great aunt or something I suppose he had an Irish he spoke with an Irish accent and it's weird because I don't see my dad very often I haven't seen him in fact I haven't seen him since New Year's Eve 2019 just before the uh

the end of the world started so I haven't seen him since then I've seen pictures of him he's got a beard now never used to have a boy he used to have a beard when he was a kid when he was a kid when he was young but he shaved it off when I was about eight or nine and I remember maybe eight I remember him coming down the stairs maybe I was nine anyway we were looking at him me and my brothers because sometimes we did look at each other and we couldn't figure out

what was different about him now you know he had a big old bushy beard honestly if it was like a a 1970s crotch you know I'm saying it's a big big hairy beaver of a beard and he's just looking at us so do you notice anything different I said I don't know if have your piles healed I didn't know I didn't know what it might be um and he's like just he's just looking at us and we couldn't think there was something different about him you know obviously there was something obviously different but could we

figure it out no and I was young you know my other brothers were one was two years older one was four years older so they were older than me they were older than me when I was born in fact and even they couldn't figure it out like something different about him and then he started doing a little dance he did the uh I shaved my beard off dance I don't know if you've ever seen that it's uh it's a wonderful experience but I can't do it for you because it means getting up out of the

chair and doing a little dance while using physical energy I mean you're gonna be doing that no no I won't so and he said I've had me big cut off I've shaved me beard off and you've got a different accent as well for some reason And then we realised he'd shaved his beard off, we were rolling around laughing.

It was hilarious because he looked so silly. Because if someone turns up in a beard, wearing a beard, and you've never seen them with a beard before, they look silly. It's not that they really look silly, they might look brilliant, they might look lovely, but they look silly on a level of like, you just look silly, that's not how you're supposed to look.

You're supposed to have, you're supposed to be clean shaven, or the other way, or someone shaves their hair off. But you're bald now, I see you had hair last week, I don't understand, this is too much for me, I wasn't prepared for this. So yeah, it can be a bit of a shock, and we just found it hilarious.

What's that noise? It's out of this flat, it's got some weird noises going on. It's like a little tapping and a little scratching and stuff going on. It's the vermin.

They're coming in from outside, they don't like it in the fields anymore, they want to stay indoors for the winter. But I don't want them to stay indoors for the winter because I don't want them in my house. But you must let them in your house, they have nowhere else to go, nowhere else to go.

But I don't want them here, no, no I don't. They're bloomin' mice, I don't want no mice in my house. But that's just rude, you should let them in, they're very lovely, they're cuddly and kind, give them a chance.

I will not give them a chance, no I won't, I determined not to, no, no, no. Oh, go on. No, I don't want to.

Oh, I'll give you a cuddle if you do, I'll give you a big sloppy cuddle. Big sloppy cuddle? Now that's just weird. And, yeah, um, what was I talking, oh yeah, beards.

He looked weird without a beard. The thing is, he never showed, he never grew a beard again. Until 2020, last year.

I saw a picture of him, it was on WhatsApp, and he had this big beard. Not only was it a big beard, it was pure white. White, I tell you.

Like, no. And he looked so good. It suits him, it really suits him.

He looks, it makes him look, I think it makes him look happy. He was smiling, so that probably helped, but I think, maybe that's why he looked happy, but it suits his face. Big, white, it's now trimmed a bit because he let it overgrow a bit, but he's trimmed it and it's nice.

I just think, what it is, is when I saw him with his beard, the last time I saw him with a beard it was dark, he didn't have a grey hair or anything back then, because he was still young. He was 25 when I was born and I was, what, 8 years old when he shaved his beard off. So what's that, 25, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 33, 34, you know, so he didn't have any grey hair.

I don't know, I mean, just on his head I don't know, but yeah, he didn't see, unless he, he might have dyed his hair. I doubt it. But I think he was a bit like me.

He had a great, I think he had like a bit of ginger in him, a bit of ginger. And my uncle, well my nan's brother who I was talking about, he was ginger, like proper, full on ginger. But I only met him when he was an elderly man, and he was, well he was grey, but he was pretty bald as well by then.

But he used to be ginger. He still had the freckles, he still had the ginger skin. So he had freckles and I've inherited some of that.

So if you look at the front of my hair, if you can see it as it's moving, it seems to move back while I'm talking. Honestly it's just receding. Soon I'll have to go like that, just so people can actually see that I've got hair.

I'll have to have my head down like that the whole time. I, the hairs that are now, the first hairs that turned grey were the ginger hairs. It's true.

The first hairs on my beard that turned grey, without, you know, repeating myself, was the ginger ones. And I had a ginger beard. It was dark but it was mainly a lot of ginger in my beard.

And in like the moustache part. And now that's grey. So all these bits at the side used to be ginger.

And I don't know if I've got ginger pubes because I can't see because of my big fat smelly belly. It's in the way, I can't see. I mean I almost feel like, you know, I wish I had a girlfriend just so I could ask.

And then we could split up and I could move on. Just, I don't want anything else. I just want someone to tell me, are they still ginger or are they now grey? Like my life, grey.

Like England on a autumn evening. Oh, grey. Grey for months.

Curled and wet and damp and dark. Yep, that is the coming months. Coming up.

I mean I think it was Saturday. I had to have the light on in here. Probably by two o'clock in the afternoon.

It was so dull and it was raining. Or was it Sunday? It was raining, raining all day long. All day.

And I went out in it. Last night I went out. Had to get something from the shop.

Got soaked, absolutely soaked. And the weird thing about it, as I was walking down this, it's quite a very thin pavement. Normally, I find there's usually at least, well cars tend to try and drive close to the, to the gas so they can spray water all over me.

It seems to be like a little game that people play. But for some reason, all of the cars were keeping their distance. Now, maybe it's because I needed a shower.

And I was so stinky that the car drivers couldn't stand being anywhere near me. But I don't know. Hmm.

Hmm. Under my tongue, I've got an issue. Basically, my tooth, just underneath my tongue.

Does that sound weird? I've got teeth underneath my tongue. Yeah, they are. I mean, the bottom teeth, they're underneath the tongue, eh? Well, this tooth, this tooth is so sharp and spiky that it's been almost lacerating the tongue.

And it hurts. Almost as if I need the, the tooth nailed down, not nailed, but shaved. Shaved? Could you shave a nail? A nail? What? I'm a, I'm a, it's because I cut my toenails the other day.

I'm so pleased with myself that I just, I subconsciously bring in the word nail up because I want to tell you about it because I'm so proud of myself. Ah. So amazed.

Basically, cutting my toenails is not, it's just, it's not easy because of my lower back issues and looking like a hippo. It's hard to reach my toes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

But my, I think it was my little toe or that toe, one of them, the nail grew and it was digging into the, the toe next to it. So the toenail was digging into the toe next to it and it was hurting and it just did it every time I walked with shoes on. So eventually I thought, you know what? I'm going to cut my toenails.

And this story is actually making me bored and I'm struggling to keep my eyes open because it is a really, really boring story. But I'm excited on the inside. So what I did is I got my nail clippers.

I stuck my foot on the edge of the bath and I'm standing with the other foot on the floor, the floor, and I bend down and I start to cut my nails. The problem is, I think I'm turning into a, I think I've now got pensioner toenails. My toenails are strong.

This is terrible. I don't know why it's funny. My toenails are now the strongest part of my body.

Honestly. Really. They are so strong.

It's almost like they're made of some kind of unbreakable metal. And, was it Lithuanian? Something, I don't know, some metal. So I'm trying to cut through with this, you know, the cutters.

And I did the small one and that was nice, like always nice. Did the next one. Oh, that's nice.

When it came to the big toe, the clippers actually, they didn't just break, they just melted. It's like, exploded. Honestly, I just couldn't handle it.

I don't know if it was the smell of my feet that just melted the, melted the metal, but, and I thought, what should I do? You know, should I write to my local politician? I didn't know, really didn't know. And I thought, I could go old school and use scissors. Scissors.

So I thought, yeah, I'll give scissors a go. And you know what? I've been using clippers, or is it clippers? Nail clippers or whatever. I've been using those for years and years, possibly decades, not the same ones by the way, but I don't mean not the same decades, but not the same nail clippers because they do fall apart.

I mean, the nail clippers I had, if you saw them, you wouldn't question me if I told you that I won them in a Christmas cracker. Honestly, they're that kind of size and strength and quality. But they've been alright, they've done me alright.

I used to use them on Andre's nails as well. And so, anyway, I, I thought, well I'll use the scissors. I was so excited at my findings.

So much easier with scissors. First of all, you can see what you're cutting with the nail clippers. Everything's in the way, your fingers, your thumbs, your hands.

The map of Norway, the way that you hold, as if you hold, I mean, not everyone's looking at a map of Norway when they're cutting their nails, but I'm just saying, as an example. And, so easy. Easier than keeping my eyes open, because I just want to, I feel I want to go to bed, I'm tired.

my nan's brother honestly same same stature he's wide and he was bent over because I think he was just with age and had a walking stick I don't know if he had back issues I didn't ask but I'm guessing the the way he was kind of bent forward probably the answer would be yes to that just seemed a bit of a rude question but my dad don't half look like him really really does more so than my granddad my granddad didn't look like him but I'm talking about my dad looking like my grand my dad

looking I don't think my dad looks anything like my granddad it was weird because he's got two brothers and two sisters they're all slim my name was slim my granddad was slim my dad is not slim and by that I don't mean he's fat or anything he's just big big broad weigh in he's not as tall as his brothers they were all like six plus and their kids Wow so my cousins so my uncle's sons were about 6'6 6'5 6'6 all of them really tall my oldest brother was probably about 6'2 between 6'2 and 6'4

I'd say so he's tall maybe maybe he was 6'5 but I think he was about 6 it was noticeably taller than me like really looking up at him and so but then 6 6 foot tall is tall compared to me I'm 5 foot 1 and I like being 5 foot 1 it's the right height when you're dancing oh yes it's the right height when you're dancing you've always got something to rest your head on so that's nice but what's that sound I'm gonna whisper into the microphone see if it picks up because I want to
