Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland. This is Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes.
So, I don't know if you can see this. I had my, uh, where is it? Where's my little prick? I had my, um, vaccine, my plague vaccine, yesterday at 2.05 in the p.m. and wow. Right, I've tried to ignore people who go on about, oh it's, you know, you get really ill and you know, that's how hypnosis works.
It's very kind of, you know, you, the more you expect something to happen, the more likelihood it's going to happen. I was determined to not be affected by other people's negativity and, you know, it's almost like people want you to be ill. It's like, yeah, come on, like it's, I've got a friend who seemed almost excited.
Yeah, you're gonna be really ill. I said, how's that gonna help? How's that help me? How does that help me? You telling me that? I know she didn't want me to be ill but just because she was ill with it when she had the jab. I was determined, determined to be all right.
I was very, very much so and make sure I've got no bits of breakfast in my beard. Okay. Oh, I had the jab and I was so ill.
So ill. Not for the first few hours, but come eight o'clock in the evening, I wasn't doing so very, very well. 10 o'clock I think I went to bed and through the next eight hours, I was up and I was up and out of bed a few times during the night, but I was so unwell, like everything aching head.
Oh, I'm not gonna go into details, but I was very feverish and I was a kind of delusional in a sense of, I didn't know if I was awake or asleep, but I was asleep, I guess at the time I was in bed, but I was really kind of all over the place. Felt very unwell. And then by, by this afternoon I felt better.
I felt a lot better. Still not 100%, but you know, pretty much 80% better than what I was. But I was rough.
It's like, wow. And I'm thinking, if this is just a tiny, you know, they've injected me with the plague. Yeah.
A little bit of the plague. If, if this, if this much, if that, this is a tiny, tiny little bit of what it feels like to have the coronavirus, then thank God for the vaccine. That's all I can say, because that felt absolutely horrific.
And that's just a tiny little glimpse of what it's like, you know, because maybe I'm wrong the way I'm explaining it, but, oh, oh, no, thanks. Not hanker very much. I was, there was a point where I thought I might have to call an ambulance, but I don't know if I'd even be able to use the phone and do 999.
Like that would be like too much for my brain at the time. It was a bit of a challenge normally, you know, to be fair. Mm hmm.
So here we are. These are the, it's weird. These are the, the post Andre, let me bore you to sleep.
So this is kind of, this is 2021. PA now, post Andre, maybe the year starts, maybe it's 01 now. It will reset the years.
Blimey. It's weird. I still can't really get my head around him not being around.
It's really, it's just strange. But yeah, again, I want to say a big thank you to everybody that's been, I say everybody, everybody has been really supportive. And, you know, sent me messages on Facebook privately.
I've had, yeah, it's been brilliant, even had help with the vet bills. And I had a couple, in fact, I can tell you today. So I'm using my phone to record the video.
So where is you? So I want to say a big thank you to Blimey. Where are you? Okay. Andrew, thank you, Andrew.
And he says, sorry to hear about Andre, you'll meet again. I'm sure yours, Andrew. Thank you, Andrew.
I will send you a message. And personally, thank you very much for your whoops, for your PayPal gift and your kind words. Also from Viola.
Hi, Jason, sorry about Andre, but I am sure he had a wonderful life with you. I can imagine how it feels for you. Recently, I lost a pet too.
I hope you're now not lonely at home. All the best Viola. Thank you, Viola.
Yeah, I'm a little bit. It's a weird one. Thank you, Viola for your PayPal gift.
I really appreciate it. This is all going really helpful towards the debt I got into for the vets. And I had a really good friend lend me why two friends one let me 200 another lent me 50 to help me to pay the vet bills.
But not have to pay that back. So we'll be Yeah, it's it's really been helpful to get some help with that. It just it was like expenses that came out of the blue.
I really didn't. I'll be honest if I thought I was going to come home without him. I wouldn't have took him.
I know that sounds irresponsible. But maybe in my mind I did. I don't know.
I'm all over the place with it. I am. Yeah, it's very strange.
I've had lots of lovely messages. But I think with Andre the way it was is he was being lonely being he spent a lot of time asleep. You know, 18 hours a day.
intermittently though, so be asleep for hours sometimes in a get up. And then it kind of be half dozy and stuff. And then it'd be wide awake, causing havoc.
You know, not always causing havoc, but when he was younger, I mean, he ruined the city and he, you know, he's done all kinds of stuff over the years. But he'd have energy, he'd want to go out for a walk or would want to fight me, you know, we'd have a punch up on the set on the on the bed was a good place because he used to hide under the duvet and then attack me from under the duvet. So he'd sneak up on me.
So I'd be looking for him. And I'd be pushing him away and chucking him to the other side of the bed. And he'd climb under the duvet and I'd be like looking for him and then he'd attack my arm.
But never biting hard just always kind of it was playful. But he would get carried away sometimes and I'd end up with my fingers ripped a little bit a bit of blood and but it wasn't his fault, you know, some of it was from his from his claws as well, his fingernails, but he just got carried away and he loved it. Absolutely loved getting rough.
And if you ever see two ferrets together fighting, you'd if you've never seen it before, you'd think oh my god, they're killing each other. And then another thing would think after when they'd finished, you'd think where's the blood? Because you'd expect there to be blood and damage and injury. And then you look and there's nothing.
They haven't hurt each other. It's just the way that they play. They play fight and they don't hurt each other.
It's just weird. And it looks horrible. It's horrible to watch really.
My friend had a ferret downstairs, who is Andre's uncle. And they used to fight sometimes and I just used to have to pull get Andre off. Because I just hated didn't like it.
Now, I should have let just get on with it because then they'd choose a hierarchy of who's in charge and then they would just get on well with each other. But they never got to that point because I didn't want them fighting. And my friend was concerned about Andre hurting him as well.
So it was like a mixed thing that ended up being ridiculous, really, because they should have been best friends, instead of not being able to be together. And the reason they couldn't be together, especially in the last year or two, Andre kept attacking him. And but before that, blimey, Andre didn't stand a chance because the other one was much stronger than Andre ever was.
He was more more percent polecat, much stronger, much more able to handle himself. Andre weren't no wimp, but he just couldn't, he didn't have. He was gentle, he didn't really have that kind of.
He wasn't bitey, you know, not really. He bit me a couple of times. But not when he was a baby bit me, but he never bit me.
He bit me a couple of times and it's like snapping at me like get away. You'd be warned, you know, like if maybe I pushed him too far or maybe I went to get him and he was asleep, like, go away. I catch him off guard or something.
And it was always like, you go and get me some dinner. That's a good boy. He's, he's very gentle.
I mean, he was literally, he'd be three foot away from a rabbit, and he'd do nothing. He was no interest, no instincts of survival, really, no instincts of wanting to kill another animal. He'd attack dogs if he got a chance.
But again, that was just for fun. But he saw himself as, I think he saw himself as bigger and tougher than dogs. And yeah, he was tougher than dogs.
But just physics dictated that a dog would have the physical advantage. I mean, no dog is as tough as a ferret. But they're a hell of a lot bigger, which means I say no dog, I think some dogs are but majority of ferrets are just, they're a breed of just, I don't know what it is, something in their brain that just, they keep coming back and they won't quit ever.
Because he's from that family. What is it the not hedgehogs? I know it's a muscular dog, but he's from the Oh, not werewolf. What's the x men? Wolverine? That's it Wolverine.
Wolverine is kind of the top of his, of his ancestors of his grace, race, I suppose, maybe is the right word. I don't know. And Wolverine's toughest animal on the planet.
For its size. I mean, a wolverine can kill a bear. And a wolverine is not big.
You know, but it's got a size of a dog that can kill a bear and kill a polar bear. You know, I mean, a wolverine has no predators, perhaps apart from itself, you know, it's other, other, you know, so they, they're kind of like sharks in a way, you know, sharks really don't really have a predator. I mean, I know some whales will kill sharks, but generally, a shark is pretty much human beings that are probably the biggest threat to sharks.
I almost sound like I know what I'm talking about, but I don't. I'm making it all up, as I'm sure you may realize at some point. So I'm recording this for the podcast.
And also video in it for my YouTube channel. I uploaded some old videos earlier today. If I didn't really upload them, I'd already uploaded them, but they were on private.
So I just made them public, uploaded a month ago. I decided to just start to make videos again. I know they're not.
It's not they're not ideal, not perfectly done. They're not. Whoops, sorry.
Keep banging the thing. They're not perfectly they're not perfectly edited or anything like that. The videos, the picture may be not great, the audio might not be perfect.
It's not connected to this microphone. However, I kind of figure it's better to have a video than not to have a video. Does that make sense? Maybe a little bit? Make make make sense a little bit? Maybe, maybe, maybe.
So yeah, that's what I figured. I'll just do that. I'll play the video and I'll record.
It's taken me two days per days to get all of the videos off of my phone. Because I had so many videos and I didn't know which ones were which, whether I'd uploaded them to YouTube, whether, you know, whatever. And I just, it's taken me a couple of days to go through them all and upload those, upload them one by one, try to share them onto a hard drive, external hard drive.
And that's one of the problems between syncing between the iPad and the iPhone, because it fills the iPhone with stuff. Or it tends, the way I do it anyway. And I need the iPhone storage to be as free as possible.
Free to do what you want to do. I'm not sure how much storage, 250 gigabytes. No, it was 120.
No, I think it's 250 gigabytes storage. I've got a buy on my phone. I'm sure that was the top amount.
But then there's two terabytes on the iCloud, which I rent for six, seven pounds a month. But then this thing, you see how tiny this is. I mean, look, I don't know why I put next to my face because I've got a big fat face, but uh, just, you know, it's not, it's kind of the same.
In fact, it's shorter than a phone. So it's little five terabytes fits on there. Five terabytes.
Now I haven't got it to hand. Yes, I have. Wait a second.
Hopefully I won't fall off my chair. Oh, see this, this is the other hard drive I've got external. You get more, um, out of the video for this little bit.
See the size difference. That's two terabytes. This is five.
Now this is portable. Clearly this isn't. I mean, the plug weighs more than that actual five terabyte one.
Okay. I'm going to put it back now. Great, great video.
This I tell it's really weird. I have, um, the, I put stuff down and I'm thinking, okay, can't leave it there. Cause I'll put it down and then I have to remember just little things like that.
Cause there's a certain, um, safety you have to have in your head. If you got a ferret running free around the flat, around your place, you have to defer it the place continuously. And you learn by what he does next or she, you know, if you've got a lady ferret.
So now I don't have to do that, which is the word isn't good, but it's, you know, it's something less to do, I guess. Um, what was I talking about? I was talking about something. I don't know if you can see in the corner on the wall, there's a calendar.
There's actually two calendars and there's a, there it's actually on the door as well. I'm pointing my finger. So that's where I keep track of my statistics.
See this month is being slower because I mean today, so if I've only had like 4,000 downloads, I've not made a recording at all yet. This is the first one. So it's been a lot slower than normal and it's the 25th of May.
So far I've had 165,141 downloads. So it's a slow month, but that's not all due to last month, last week is that a few days, the week before that I didn't have, I didn't do much, but definitely was it Monday, Tuesday, Monday, Sunday, Saturday, Friday, Thursday. So Thursday, Friday, Saturday, you know, I didn't get hardly anything like just three or 4,000 downloads.
Uh, then Sunday, Monday, over 7,000. And then today again, I didn't do anything today. So, cause I've not, well, you know, I mean, in reality, I didn't, yeah, I didn't make any yesterday.
So even though I've got 7,420, I didn't actually make any recordings yesterday. They were all from the day before or people listening to the previous day's ones. So it's been two days.
I have not made a recording, but I couldn't yesterday. I couldn't, I couldn't do anything. And today I just get myself recovered.
Pull me, pull me. Oh, it's all right. I'm not bothered.
No, I'm not being ill. It's brilliant. Okay.
So let me look at some of the messages that I've had and I can read them out to you. These, this is since, okay. Let's say Friday.
Hope, I just saw this now. I've been sick a few days. My heart hurts for you, Jason.
Wish I could give you a big hug. I'm glad it's not, glad he's not in pain anymore, but I'm sad the cessation of his creates more for you. So much love across the pond.
Thank you, Hope. Message from Mary. Dear Jason, I'm sorry for the loss about Andre.
He was such a character and his antics brightened up the lives of many people. Not many ferrets can say that. Take care and keep talking about the wee guy.
Love, Mary. Thank you, Mary. I said your name right.
See, Mary, Mary. I've been calling Mary, Mary, Mary. It's M-A-I-R-I, but it's pronounced M-A-R-R-Y as in will you marry me? Will you be with me forever? I want to marry you.
Will you marry me? Will you marry me? I love you. And Andre. I don't know how to pronounce his name.
It's actually Andre with J-S on the end. So Andre, Andre. I say Andre, J-S.
My condolences, Jason, for your loss. Thank you for all your recordings. I'm glad we can all remember Andre through these recordings.
He's gone but not forgotten. Thank you, Andre. I don't know how to pronounce your name, but it's a cool name, obviously, because it's got Andre in it and then J-S at the end.
So Andre, Andreas, Andreas. Is that the name? I reckon it might be Andreas. Anyway, great name.
Thank you for your message. It's lovely. Mary again.
Oh, dear Jason, this is from Sunday. We all benefit so much from what you do and it's time for us to support you as you deal with Andre's passing. I hope that lots of people gift you to help you repay the money you had to borrow for the vets bills and to help with cost of the podcasting equipment.
We really owe you. By the way, Mary. Oh yeah, B-W? What does B-W mean? Beware.
Beware. Mary. P.S. Could you please send me your address again so I can send you some money? Thank you, Mary.
So I have had four people that have sent me PayPal gifts. Four? Four? I think it's four. Two today, which is amazing.
So thank you. I do appreciate it. Um, struggling a bit too.
Well, I have struggled a little bit last couple of weeks to pay back the debts for stuff that equipment I bought. I just I just got the dates wrong and I've ended up with charges, which comes to like double the amount of what I needed to pay for the month, which is a bit annoying. So I need to get my act, my act sorted out and get myself a bit more um, up to date, up to date, organized, organized.
Alan writes, Dear Jason, so sorry, Andre is no longer with us. I do feel your loss and I hope you will in time find a new pet to care for. You're such a good carer.
Lots of love, Gwen. Oh, it's from Gwen, but Alan was the email address. So again, thank you there.
Another one from Jonathan. See, these are messages on my website. Frictionless, that's what he wrote.
So you're sure you're not speaking to one of my ex girlfriends. I've got another message from Ken. I'll do this.
I'm going to do his voice. Hi, Jason. I've, I've enjoyed and benefited from your videos from year to years now.
And I feel compelled to write you a letter of thanks. Again, it's for Andre, so I can't do a funny voice. Particularly at this time of your loss.
I loved seeing you interact with your beloved Andre. And it was plain to see that he loved you as much as you him. I really am sorry to hear his passing and you have my condolences and warmest best wishes.
I'm pleased to see your presence being updated and maintained online and have faith that you will be blessed with opportunities and success in return for your valuable, this is a long sentence, valuable and consistent effort and skill in the field of hypnotherapy. Yours sincerely, Ken. Thank you, Ken.
I really appreciate Ken is one of my YouTube subscribers and has been following me for years, years and years. Thank you, Ken. That is it.
That's all the messages on there. But if we go to Facebook, go to Facebook, go to Facebook. In fact, I've had some, I knew this was coming.
I knew I knew. So here's a couple of messages I got. Okay, right.
My cat crackers commented, this is my this is the person, my cat crackers. Bless you, Jason, you were such a good daddy to your beautiful son. We will all miss him podcast will be too quiet.
x x x x. This is the this is my YouTube pod messages, or comments. Crazy animal FRK commented sending you love. Sinjan 74 commented, may so so sorry to hear this.
Take care. Thank you for everyone so far. Ailee Karoji commented.
I don't know what that was. Some thing. There we go.
I knew this was coming. Okay. I knew this was coming.
Hubert shipmeyer commented, Man, I love this video. Nice content at all. I need a thumbnail.
It's a fantastic template for decent artistry. What are you talking about? know what I was doing. Or why I was doing it.
It's true. I didn't didn't. I didn't know if there was any point to it.
If there was really any. Yes, like why? Why though? You know, I was a bit like that. I don't want to do this for doesn't make sense.
Why am I doing this? And never part of me being you're doing it because you want to do it. Yeah. What does that even mean? What does it mean? Because I want to do it.
You do it because you want to do it. I have thought you know, over the years like what the hell am I doing? You know, not not so much with the hypnosis stuff. But with this particular podcast, I do kind of think it's just it's just it's just a little bit.
It's a little bit silly. It's a little bit like dinner. Why? What? What? You know what I mean? What's it all about? I don't know.
I don't know. But it's okay. It is what it is.
And that's the main thing. It don't matter really. Just got to go with the flow in it.
Because it rhymes. Go and flow rhymes you go with the flow. I don't know.
I just just just I guess I quite like doing them. I guess a bit John Wayne. I guess I thought I'd like to go there.
Although without the accent. I thought that I continue to make the podcasts. If I was like I don't know why I'm gonna go and do that.
Like leaning back and talking again. The reason I like to make these podcasts is because they entertain people. And that's the main reason.
Now turns out Homer Simpson. That's the main reason. Yeah.
Do you know somebody? Do you know somebody in your life that in a normal conversation? A normal human human interaction occasionally goes. Do you know somebody like that? Because of Homer Simpson from the Simpsons television cartoon. I know somebody.
I know two people that do that. I'll be let you in on a little secret. I wish they wouldn't.
Between me and you. I really wish they'd stop. This is hard to know how to how to broach the subject.
But I wish they would stop. Stop saying don't. No.
I mean come on man. The Simpsons. You know what I mean? It's a middle-aged man now.
That TV show. It's like 35 years old or something. Come on man.
The Simpsons. The Simpsons. I used to don't watch it now.
Just I just thought there's no reason. I just don't watch it. But I used to really find it funny how the newspapers decided that Bart Simpson was the star of the show.
When he wasn't the star of the show. It was always Homer. But the Simpsons went along with it.
Didn't they? They started you know doing a bit more of Bart and you know eat my shorts and people with their t-shirts. And like yeah of course it's about Bart as well. He's in it.
He's a big part of it. But Homer is the star. Homer is the star of the Simpsons.
That's as simple as it is to be honest. Honest. And another thing is the Simpsons is probably among the cleverest comedy on television.
Possibly in television history. It's among the cleverest comedy out there. What I mean by that is it's it's multi-layered comedy and it's funny.
It's funny for kids and funny for adults. I mean I don't know if I don't watch it anymore. But I think part of the reason I don't watch it is because in England it's on every single day of the year.
Maybe not Christmas. I don't know about that. But not probably not Boxing Day.
But it's on every day. Sometimes you can watch it multiple times if you've got enough different channels. And they show old episodes and you know a bit like Family Guy.
Family Guy. I like it when they've got new episodes out which they have at the moment on Mondays at nine o'clock. But the rest of the time it's on every single night.
They show sometimes up to six episodes a night on ITV2. But they show a lot of episodes. Probably like 50.
I'd say at least 40 episodes a week I reckon. If not more. And a lot of them are just repeat.
Well a lot most of them are repeats. Probably all of them are repeats really apart from the original ones. One episode a week at the moment.
But they show the same ones. They even show the same ones during the same week. They're very lazy ITV2.
Very lazy. They've got hundreds of episodes to choose from. But they just put the same row.
Literally you can watch. I think it was Friday night and Sunday night exactly the same episodes in the same order. They showed like three back to back same episodes.
That's just laziness. That's someone that's working and does not care about their job. They're not thinking about the the watcher.
The viewer of the TV show. They're just thinking I'll just do that. So then it's just I guess it's just like changing a toilet roll on a toilet roll holder.
I'll put that toilet roll there. Put a pink one there. White one there.
Green one there. Brown one. Why would you have brown toilet paper? Or a question would be why would you not have brown toilet paper? Wouldn't brown toilet paper almost be perfect? Maybe you could have each piece of toilet paper brown three quarters and the last quarter white for when you need to check.
Not when you need your check but when you need to check. You need to check that there's no debris. I don't know why I'm doing that.
I'm moving my head. But you need to just you know. I'm surprised that Apple or any of the other IT people haven't come up with a a toilet that takes pictures of the bum.
So you can kind of just or like a little camera so you can just see where you can you can see whether or not you've finished what you um had started. You know with if you'd finished what you needed to be finished with. It's like close in like yep no no cling ons no um no stowaways.
So yeah it's good and you can just move on with your life. The thing is however weird it would be if you knew you had a camera aimed on that part. I'm just being honest here.
If you had a camera aimed on that part guaranteed at one point if not straight away at one point you're gonna think maybe I watched the whole show. Maybe watch the whole movie this time as I just see the end credits. That's something you never see in your life is it.
It's it's something you never see. You might see other people. I mean I don't know what kind of lifestyle you have but um it's not something you just I think you know sitting there.
Yep I've decided going to the toilet of your popcorn. Your coke. Of course it's not something you could take a date on with you unless you're very lucky.
No that's wrong um anyway I'm gonna go. Thank you for listening and for watching and all that good stuff. Especially thank you everybody for your kind words.
Isn't that weird? I've got 45 45 minutes on here. 45? Yeah I've got 65 minutes on the video. Very strange.
I think somewhere along the line I have messed up with the podcast but I don't know where. I really don't know where. So I have to have a little listen.
I'll still publish it even if it is a bit broken or whatever there's a big bit missing. Oh well. But I've not pressed pause on anything but it might be when I went to another app.
I was using a different app it might have frozen the app I'm using. There's always a chance of that and I don't that's why try not to do that and I go in and out of stuff and yeah that's that might be what happened. Ah it's very strange.
I'm gonna have to check that out but it's weird isn't it? And how weird if the video worked fine and the podcast it didn't work so well. It's usually it's usually the other way around. Oh well never mind.
Right I want to go thank you very much for listening. Remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy. Do something nice for yourself today.
Do something it doesn't doesn't have to cost money just do something nice. Be nice to yourself. Be kind to yourself.
Right so I'm gonna go. Lots of love. Bye.
