Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland. This is let me bore you to sleep. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes.

Welcome oh yes welcome to this. Now I think I've got a message to read. A message from Heidi says note to self I need to listen to this one till the end.

This is number 630 boring one. I really would like to see a new video of Jason again but who am I right? He needs to like himself too. Let's see him.

Let's tell him how happy we get when we see his cute smile. Oh stop it stop it. I'm off to bed now with let me bore you to sleep number 633.

Good night. Thank you. Another one from Heidi.

Anyone else secretly hoping Jason Newland will play us his own song he talks about in his podcast so you can imagine he sings it for you? I do. Oh stop it. Blimey.

I got another message from Rachel. Jason is a great help to me even when I don't fall asleep. He is great company but I do worry about him buying new equipment and the cost and the cost.

I'd still listen even if the sound's not the best and love the background noise. He's such a big help in my life. Thank you.

That's very kind of you Rachel. I think regarding that subject I don't think everyone would agree with you Rachel just on just on the the subject of the quality. I think the quality does did need to improve from what it was and but I really appreciate your kind words.

It's you know it's very supportive and I do like that the fact that you you know you're not worried about the quality. And I hope you find the quality the sound quality better now um the last month or so since I've got this new setup the new microphone and still there's still more to improve as well. I still want to get my head around the more of the audio editing rather than just the editing that I do now.

There's other other things I could do to improve the sound but at the moment I'm fairly happy with how it is but there's still there's still more to do but it's okay. I like to think but it's not not really any way of knowing but I like to think that the improved quality is part of the reason for the increased growth of my audience. I hope I hope it is really I suppose but the now I'm getting pretty much at least 9 000 downloads a day um and I have been for well I've had over 300 000 downloads in the last 300 000 something in the last 30 days.

So you know it's it's not just for a couple of days and then gone down it's it's been steadily rising. Oh I had I had a really really silly line to say there but I won't it was to do with me when I was 13.

But hey in maths class when I really didn't want to stand up um yeah I just I suppose because if you listen to these recordings uh the Let Me Bore You To Sleep I know that I can come across as not being particularly professional at all or even perhaps really maybe I come across as not caring very much about what I'm doing I was like it's not important to me but that's not the case and I am trying to build something I am trying to be successful but at the same time keep the fun because

if it stops being fun I'm not going to want to do it and not that the hypnosis stuff isn't fun but this is the funnest one the Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcast is the the time that I can just mess around and have a laugh and um I think it comes across in that way I hope which is I guess that's why the audience is there why people listen although I've got an audience I've got different audiences that listen to different things I don't know how much of a crossover there is it's hard

to know it really is because even though I've got I don't use the word hardcore but I've got some fans I'm going to use the word fans I'm not really a um I mean fan is short for fanatic isn't it so I don't think I've got any fanatics but I've got some people that really like what I do and but then there's a lot more than I realize and that sounds conceited doesn't it I don't mean it I just there's a handful or maybe a couple of handfuls who would sort of be contacting me or

would be posting stuff on Facebook but only a very small amount of people so I gauge from that that only a very small amount of my audience are on Facebook or on my Facebook pages compared to I mean you can add me on Facebook if you want to go to my I've got no idea what it's called what is the fake I know it's called Facebook what's my Facebook page anyone anyone my Twitter page is my profile is twitter.com and my my Twitter name is Jason Newland just one word Jason Newland Facebook is what is

it I don't know have a look I've got a few different ones I've got a let me bore you to sleep Facebook page so if you go to Facebook just put in the let me bore you to sleep and you could just add me or join or whatever it is I don't know how it works I really should take more more notice but I have hardly anybody I mean I've got a few people on there but not many

really all together doesn't tell me how many how many likes I have on that page page views stories people okay let's click on people followers or followers okay followers nothing oh doesn't this weird post this week for you no that's not very good it's literally not let me do anything it's followers okay right now it is I have on that page to let me bore you to sleep Facebook page I've only got 171 followers so it's very very small not the first time I've said that out loud unfortunately I this is I'm not going to

mention any particular ones okay but there's some Facebook pages that I follow that have thousands and thousands of people that go on there and a few of them like sort of post early hours of the morning and you know like wide awake club anyone want to join the wider who else is almost like they're pleased with themselves almost like it's a little badge of honor to be wide awake and I don't know just sometimes like they're not prepared to do anything to help themselves get to sleep and it seems a shame because there's so much

out there not just me boring people or doing hypnosis and stuff but there's a lot of things that can help people to fall asleep there's you know don't ever give up I really I see so many people that just seem to have given up on it just accepted like well this is how I am and I think some people like moaning you know if they get a good night's sleep then they can't moan about not sleeping and some people enjoy moaning they really you know everybody listening to this knows somebody that loves to moan and

you can never give them a solution or even a suggestion that might be useful to them because they will not hear it they will not hear it they will not allow that idea into their brain and they'll say I've tried everything which is a lie nobody has tried everything and usually the people that said I've tried everything have tried less than those people that have you know really looked and it's just oh it's a little it gets frustrating because I've got a lot of compassion well I don't like compassion but I care enough about people

that have insomnia to do this so I'm not judging you know I'm not in a position I'm sort of like making fun of people that can't sleep obviously I'm not because I'm most of my recordings are aimed at helping people to relax and sleep that's kind of what I do that's my thing but I just get a little bit frustrated when I want to see people's posts when it's almost like they don't want to be helped they want to moan about it they want to complain about it I don't know it's occasionally I'll go on

to these places and I say if someone says can anyone help me to sleep first of all I do sometimes think well why are you not searching there's so much online but I guess it's not a case of couldn't you know where would I find stuff because I guess most people know that you can search for stuff they want someone to recommend something that helps that person that makes sense doesn't it I guess yeah it's just the amount of missed comments and amount of people that post stuff that a question that you could just google

you don't need to ask anyone you just google it sometimes I do I post an answer I just post a page from google you know just google it and just like okay there's your answer there's a website and that's the page gives you everything you need to know doesn't involve a discussion and then after saying it out loud perhaps it's what they want is a discussion they want to talk to someone even if it is typing and it's text and to me that's not a real conversation but it might be the closest thing to a

real conversation that person's had all day or even all week stop judging I feel bad now oh yeah does this I just there was one the other day and there was what was it about fate oh let me just check this one this is my facebook page no one's gonna want to add now facebook.com forward slash Jason Newland hypnotist Jason Newland hypnotist that's my facebook page as in it's supposed to be for people who want to follow me and follow my hypnosis stuff and people do send me messages sometimes but I don't get a huge

amount of yeah I don't get a huge amount really um what does it say managed managed jobs are you talking about managed jobs managed shop news feed so I don't find out who's following me settings page info would it be under there no no settings okay um people and other pages okay maybe people

and other pages page audience okay okay it's not telling me how many people I have oh why is he not telling me how many maybe it does on the main page maybe baby I'll have you maybe baby you'll be true does it say no oh yeah about my name is Jason Newland this is my facebook page for free hypnosis service so I've got 28,423 people like this and 28,177 people follow this um so that's just people that have followed me over the years it's been up there for a long time I don't know when I

started that particular page but it's been going for quite a quite a while does it say it doesn't say it says this page is owned by Jason Newland 2006 to present day it doesn't say or when it started not that it really matters I guess home but there's not much engagement with people in 30 days or less than 30 days yeah hardly any engagement I've had 29 new likes in the last month which is 41 percent down from the month before so I guess I just don't give anybody the information I don't I don't tell

anybody about this stuff when I do the podcasts I don't I don't promote the facebook pages I don't know why I just just don't don't really think about it it seems different I tell you what it is is because when I'm on YouTube I'm on the internet I feel that I'm on the internet when I'm making podcasts I don't feel that I'm on the internet even though of course I am but I just don't feel like I am it doesn't feel the same as making videos or posting stuff on facebook or twitter or I don't

know I do have an Instagram account but I don't really know how to use it I have to figure it out I could probably gain a few more people listening if I did that but it's it's a case of like figuring out what am I going to spend my time doing today and there's just so many things to do there's a there's a long list as long as my toenail I've only got one one toenail it's not weird our toenails the longer they get the curlier they get and it starts to kind of curl around

into almost like a crinkly chip yeah very strange very strange indeed so I just um I've been thinking what was that I've been thinking about organizing my room the front room the living room the lounge or whatever you want to call it differently and it's going to involve taking my punch bag down which I don't really want to do and then put it up in a different room but putting it up in the middle or you know putting it into the ceiling rather than into the wall which again is something I don't really want to

do but my bedroom has turned into a bit of a gym so I've got the the bicycle I've got the weights I've got the bench I've got the sit-up thing so I guess putting the punch bag up there would be like the right place for it to be I suppose but I'm going to be moving some stuff around my friend's going to help me he's going to help me to clean the carpet although I'm probably going to start doing some of that on my own tomorrow oh it's I'm bashing something I'm bashing something the it's

a pad on my desk and I'm scraping it with the chair I was trying to figure out what to have as a background when I make videos when I make videos when when and I thought about having some curtains in the background like colorful curtains and stuff but I think what I'm going to do is I'm going to move some stuff around and have bookcases directly behind me directly behind and that is how I used to do it that's how it was in the early days in the beginning in 2006 I had a I had

a lot more books back then as well bookcases full of books right behind me and it was me with my little I think I had a goatee beard back then and me little fat face and wasn't wearing glasses I don't you know I wasn't no I didn't have much in the way of gray in my beard or my hair maybe a few bits but pretty much not not really much at all wow that's 15 years ago so of course you can't expect to look the same I mean imagine if we always expected to look the

same as we did 15 years ago imagine a 16 year old thinking that having that mentality I should still be a toddler I should still look like I'm one one years old I'm so angry no we're going to be look different a 65 year old is not going to look like a 50 year old or they're not they might look like a 50 year old another person that's 50 but they're not going to look the same as they did when they were 50 so no matter how young someone may look or how old they may

look to others they're still going to look older than they used to and it's supposed to be that way it's supposed to be it's like is this this whole thing of like well we should people should look always look young no they're not supposed to it's fine to age we age it's it's it's it's not a bad thing I don't know why society and whatever stuff makes it such a big deal just why fight with reality I don't see the point I don't mean like you know you don't necessarily have to let yourself go you

know if if you're a man you don't have to let a big have a big nostril beard you know I mean I'm gonna let all the hairs grow everywhere you can trim you know you don't you know it's it for me that's the same as like cleaning your teeth you don't have to or flossing you don't have to let bits of food from months ago just stay in between your teeth and the gaps and then grow a whole little city on their own you know floss you can get rid of that stuff but as you

get older your gums shrink and there is going to be more gaps between your teeth so you need to floss otherwise you will end up with problems and that problem might be that no one can stand within 100 yards of you without fainting from your smelly breath you know now I like smelly breath but hey not everyone does I love it it turns me on that's the stupidest thing to say blindly um turns me on how was your date last night well he turned up and uh he was he was you know he's nice he's

right you know he's very very kind and very very sensitive but god he stunk his breath was it was like a oh it was horrible it was awful people were just keeling over all around the restaurant the chef jumped through the window it was awful it is me thinking oh I'd love to meet him oh he sounds gorgeous top notch so yeah it's uh there was one I met one person once I can't tell you what setting it was because I just can't I can't tell you the situation but I was sitting in this room

with this it's not it's not the only time it's ever happened but this person was probably eight foot away from me six foot maybe six foot away seven foot and I saw them one once and I thought okay well maybe they've come straight from work and um they you know the breath was like it's like every time they talk oh this is really bad this is really bad breath like blimey and the person again I'm not even gonna say if it was a man or a woman the person was saying um I can't seem to

I don't know why I can't seem to get a girlfriend and I said to him or her um as he stroked his beard or she stroked her beard it was a man it was a man that doesn't matter it doesn't matter but oh and I thought oh okay just having a bad day everyone can have bad breath it's just normal everyone has it occasionally even those that don't think they do we just we live in a polite society and that's when I always used to get worried when everyone offered me a mint or a piece

of chewing gum and sometimes like is it are they offering it just because they're being polite now if they take a piece of chewing gum or they have a mint in front of you and then offer you one chances are they're just offering you a mint if they go to the shop to buy a mince a packet of mints and then bring it back and open it fresh to offer you one that might be a clue if they follow you around even when you keep saying I don't want a minute and they keep following you

around pleading you to have a mint that might be that might be a clue I had someone he kept it was he was being too vague but I kind of you know he kept saying your breath stinks you need to have a mint clean your teeth your breath stinks have some toothpaste and I was like he's trying to trying to tell me something what is it what is it just can you get to the point anyway this person was there and I was like oh poor that's bad and it's how can something that bad smell

that bad come from the mouth I mean I class the mouth as quite a nice place you know it's it's a happy place it's where I put my chocolate it's where I put my sweets and my coca-cola and my cakes and my biscuits my pizza in my in my my yummy mouth I call it my yummy mouth as for me it's like a really wonderful place but wow it's like how can something such a lovely lovely opening but such as so mind you it's not yeah I suppose not the only oh no I'm not going

there it yeah it's but then armpits are a bit weird aren't they armpits are nice I'm not being weird I'm not like oh armpits no not at all but they're nice little they're not there's nothing horrible about an armpit is there really it's it's sensitive it feels nice when it's stroked and I'm talking about stroking it myself okay if you just started listening I'm talking about my armpits that doesn't make it doesn't make it sound any better does it oh that sounds better you know you're talking about your armpits okay see you're stroking your armpits

that's not weird at all I like stroking my arms okay I do I'm gonna do it now while you're watching while you listen I like to start at the bottom just where my wrist is this is how the bottom of my arm where the wrist is but the underline you know the underarm bit the not the top of the wrist but the bottom of the wrist where the palm is and just with my thumb once about four fingers and my thumb three fingers and a thumb and just stroke gently up my arm until I get

to the middle of the crease and just gently stroke around the crease it feels really nice it sort of stimulates um pleasure not a weird weird thing maybe it is weird maybe maybe you've just not discovered it maybe I'm more in touch with my body than you are maybe I spent way too much time on my own I don't know I like also rubbing my fingers like the tips of my hand tips of my fingers um up and down my other hand so down with the back with the front of the fingers and then back

up with the nails just up and down the hands the palms of the hands feels lovely feels really nice you should give it a go just feels nice if you do it gently and then do it on the back of your hand from the wrist all the way down to the ends of fingers on the backs of the fingers with the other hand it feels nice see that's the thing is the whole of the body is a sensitive organ it's the biggest organ we've got is the skin and it's the most sensitive organ we've got

because the skin is everywhere so I know people get preoccupied with certain parts of the skin but even in your knee if you just stroke your knee or your thigh like the top of your you know the top of your legs but the very front if you know what I mean so if you're sitting down you rest your hands that bit so I'm just stroking my leg my hands up and down again it's it feels nice I quite like massaging the tops of my thighs as well because there's a muscle that goes down the side

I don't there is a name for it but I forget what it is and it feels nice when it's massaged when I started going to the gym when I was about I don't know 14 probably 13 14 the one exercise I did not like was legs didn't like exercising my legs with the weights upper body it was all about upper body upper body upper body it was you know for a teenage boy it's about basically it's about biceps you know that's the one thing probably most teenage boys if they go to a gym weight training

they want their they want their biceps of course they want a back and they want the chest and shoulders and stuff but there's something magical something magical it's going to sound bad as well I was going to say there's something magical about a teenager's bicep a teenage boy's bicep that sounds bad when you say it like that but to a teenage boy is something magical about that it's like that pose you know the pose where you you the bicep pose that everybody kind of knows seen on the tv pictures of bodybuilders and even just celebrities

or you know whoever boxers do it a lot when they're posing after being weighed you know look at me I've got biceps never really understood it I think they look I feel it's a bit silly because it's what you expect a teenage boy to do not an adult unless they're bodybuilders is this I don't know it's uh mind you there's no more macho sport is there than boxing regardless if you're a man or a woman it's uh I suppose MMA mixed martial arts and stuff it's kind of equivalent as well that macho I've never been

into macho stuff I always found it really pathetic the wanting to be thinking that you're like something special like you're you're more important than the other person because you've got more muscles like oh I'm this son look at me and bragging and stuff like that I don't brag do I I don't think I do keep going about your stats uh 300 000 in the last 30 days whoopee yeah so I'm not bragging I'm just talking about it I just uh I suppose I get a little bit excited about stuff like that because this is my

life this is what I do and I hope to one day be able to earn a living doing this blimey what on earth was that I thought I saw someone just something just walked between my legs I don't know maybe it was a fly that's weird maybe it was Andre he's always part of my feet are showing so he does creep up on me and try and sort of lick the backs of my feet which I don't mind he can't get his teeth into them because they're too big so that the heels of my feet

are too big for him he can't open his mouth wide enough to get around them now if it was my toes showing he'd also be licking them in preparation for dinner he'd have a knife and fork a little plate you know he wants my feet he wants my toes especially apart from that he's a good boy half wanted to eat me he's a lovely little lad lovely little lad he is oh yes so I did a test for my camera twice three times in fact so far and the picture seems okay the picture is good

the camera or the light is shining in my glasses so I'm not filming myself today I haven't filmed myself at all today so I want to do something with the three videos that I've already recorded although yesterday's let me boy to sleep shut off after about 15 minutes or 20 minutes so that's wasted but I wanted to listen to it and watch it to see what kind of quality sound there was from the microphone that I was wearing and it was definitely louder than the one on the actual camera but biddly biddly but it wasn't

great I suppose it would be if I was outside or if I was walking around it'd be a good good sound hello Andre but for just sitting here it's not so I figured out how I can do it hello mate well he's come to have something to eat I think no peace ooh what are you doing Andre come here come here baby boy come here baby boy hello hello I've taken him out I think maybe three times today I'm just taking him out in the hope that he'll want to go for a walk and at

the moment he doesn't really want to I'll take him out and I'll put him in my little pocket and he does want to get down and walk for a little bit but generally he wants to walk home so what I've been doing is carrying him to the park and let him down and then he walks me home from the park so he knows his way home don't you yeah he's nodding he said yes daddy I do look at me I'm Sandra Dee immunity it won't go to bed till I'm legally wed I can I'm Sandra

Dee Elvis Elvis look at me look at me yeah I don't know the words hello I'm trying to get him not to bang the microphone you should be able to hear him he's right in front of the microphone kissy kisses you can do a little sneeze do a little sneeze for everyone do a little sneeze we like to hear your little sneezes do a little sneeze go on please do a little sneeze do a little sneezes do a little sneezes do a little sneezes oh yeah he did a little sneeze that wasn't much of a

sneeze not a proper full-on I like it when he does the full-on sneeze like like he does it in my face usually which isn't so great is it no it's not no I'm just he's staring at me no what are you staring at are you staring at what's your problem what's your problem oh well you want some dear we'll have a punch up dear you go away oh sometimes I think he likes me other times I think he really doesn't care I could I don't even know if he'd notice if I just wasn't here honestly

oh he wants to get down now there you go I just don't know generally I'm not sure if he'd be bothered if someone else just moved in here like he went to sleep someone came in and just sat down in the chair that I sit in and when he woke up would he even notice that it wasn't me I don't know in fact I'd like to find out wouldn't that be a good experiment to get someone to sit in the chair get some cameras set up and to see his reaction when he woke up and

saw me or saw whoever it was sitting there and then as that person goes to pick him up to put him in a you know put his his lead on him and take him for a walk how would he react I don't know if that person was holding him would he try and get down would he try and leave me alone leave me alone or would it be oh thank god that that idiot's gone it lasts a decent person to spend time with someone can actually I can actually talk to who knows you don't know

do we it's hard to tell would he even notice he's eating now eating I think as far as a person yeah as long as they gave him food he probably wouldn't care give me some food now so yeah I'm gonna move some stuff around my ideal for me an ideal situation would be that everything is organized so that the table I sit at when I make the videos will have the equipment set up ready like the microphone the camera already facing set up done maybe even attached to the desk so that it's you know stays

in one place I don't know so I don't have to do anything to start a case of just pressing play or pressing record and you know having everything set up ready to go and then having a different table where I do the editing so I don't do anything at the other table except sit there and make videos so the table's clear no other stuff on there and then have a different table where I do the editing and any other stuff and so that that would be something that I'd quite like but time space rather may

not allow such frivolity frivolity frivolity frivolity um excitement fun waste of time I don't know I don't know what the word means maybe I don't know there's always a way there's always a way to do what you want to do if you're willing to do what it takes to do whatever it is yeah so I'm just gonna see um I've realized what I need to do now though that's it Andre make as much noise as you can that's a good boy so I I've got to tell you last night he's got all this stuff underneath

the telly loads of his stuff three tubes to climb through all kinds of stuff and he's laying on his back he was fighting with his snake fighting so he wasn't doing anything else with it I caught him doing something weird with it the other day but this he was just actually fighting with it having a fight a play fight I guess I don't know I don't know what's inside his head it was so cute to watch and he's got this big den there and this he's moved stuff around to suit himself and he seems really

happy there now everything's there but I can see what he's doing so I can watch him it's quite nice yeah he's so he's got it's not got all his toys in there because it's not enough room got too many toys but I don't mind his toys spreading out because it means he's having fun especially the colored balls he's got a lot of these colored balls they move around the flat sometimes they've ended up in the kitchen in the hallway the bathroom the bedroom because he plays with them he moves them around so I'm happy with

that um anything that he does where he's enjoying himself I'm happy because I love it I love it the fact like right now he's in one of his tubes but he's enjoying it he's well he seems to be enjoying it he's moving around he might just be stuck I don't think he'd get stuck if he needed to he could rip through it he could bite through it he's got a very strong jaw I think he seems happy so yeah I figured out I need to for the to make a video with a camera and then

to have the audio being recorded as it does with a podcast I need to record everything at the same time and no edits at all until I get into the video so I basically need to put them all together and then edit out any like coughs or anything like that so if I have a little coughing thing then I'll press the pause button usually not always but sometimes so what I need to do is keep everything in exactly how it was go into the video editing add the audio as well next to the video sync

them up and then make cuts as and when is needed but cut both so splice and whatever get rid of stiff few little few sections of it which on video might look a bit weird but audio it's not really gonna notice so much because it's just what I would have done anyway so yeah it's gonna be that's the next thing I'm planning to do probably tomorrow because I did start on a video yesterday I think it was but getting them synced up was quite difficult and I think the audio that I added to the video

was already edited which means it won't be anywhere near in sync even if you know even if I get it in sync at the beginning it won't be like 20 minutes in so what I'm gonna be doing is recording the podcast saving the original file which is includes beginning where I'm swearing and huffing and puffing and having a tantrum before you know actually start the podcast and I normally edit that out so I could leave that in and then just make edits as it's needed so our plan is to do that maybe tomorrow with a

short recording a sleep was it a stress and pain relief podcast so perhaps make one of those and then see if I can edit put them both together and edit it for it to come out okay and to sound good you know and if I can do that then or once I've done that I can then start looking into a few effects but right now I just I want to be able to just show the video and synced to my voice which is using the microphone because it's a lot different from the microphone on the

camera plus it's closer so to have those two together the microphone sound and the what's it name I fell asleep while I was talking there it happens you know I do like it's so bored with myself as I and I'm in the middle of a sentence and I just drift away yeah drifting drifting drifting that's the end of this recording remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy lots of love bye
