And welcome to jasonnewland.com My name is Jason Newland and this is Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. Right, today I'm going to do something a bit different.

I'm going to introduce you to my friend Andrea. Say hello Andrea. Hello.

You sound like a man. Sorry, I didn't mean to say that.Me and Andrea were thinking about doing a podcast together.

I've tried to get out of it but we didn't really know what to talk about did we? We didn't. This is one word answer. You know what this reminds me of? Years ago, my cousin, I was in London and I had a new girlfriend.

My cousin was Chatty, she was a girl. And Chatty, I lived in the same house as her with her family. My family I guess.

She didn't stop talking. But then she met my girlfriend and we were waiting for a bus and my cousin didn't say a thing. Honestly, I pinched her to see if she was still breathing.

Didn't say nothing. And my girlfriend didn't say anything either. It's really weird.

Honestly, it just reminds me of that situation. You like answering, yep, yep, that's right, yep, yep, yep. That's the thing, never introduce someone to someone else with the start saying, oh you're going to love this person.

Exactly. They're so funny, you're going to love them. And you meet them and it's like, nah.

No thanks. But anyway, so everyone, ladies and gentlemen, on my number 500 and, how many have I done? Wait a sec. How many have I done of these? 531, so this is number 532, let me bore you to sleep.

You're privileged to be on. How about that? Yes. Oh my god, this is worse than I imagined.

You wanted boring. I know I wanted boring but I didn't, the thing is now, the good thing about it is now you can listen back to this and hear what you really sound like. I know, I hate, everybody hates their voice don't they? I don't, I like my voice.

Well that's good. The thing is, it's not that I like my voice but what I've noticed is, just like you, I didn't really know what I sounded like until I started making recordings. And then, because I used to record myself when I did the comedy, so I used to have audio tapes of myself, so that was a bit of a shock.

And then when I started making recordings doing this back in 2006, it was like ooh, but now I'm used to it so I hear myself the way that it records. Does that make sense? Yes. That was a no wasn't it? That was a yes.

That was a, was it boring listening to me do that whole long sentence? Right, let's, let's, I'm going to ask you questions alright? Really? Why can't you take over? No, this is about how I'm going to bore you to sleep and I'm going to ask you boring questions, yeah? Well you normally do, yeah, but I thought it was going to be a different conversation. No, I was going to ask you questions. Okay, sorry, carry on.

Are we taping? Yeah, this is recording, yeah. Oh my god. It's not going out live, but whatever you say is going to basically... You can edit it though, can't you? I'm not going to.

Go on. I will, obviously if you swear, because I don't swear on these things. Well this bit here is going to be edited isn't it? No, this is boring isn't it? Very boring.

I include everything, trust me, ask anyone. If I only included interesting bits, out of 531 recordings I'd have about 10 minutes worth of material. True.

What do you mean true? You've not, you've not even heard it. Why would you agree with, that's just rude. I am now going to ask you a question now.

Yeah, go on. Okay. Now we're trying to send people to sleep through being boring.

Yeah, okay. So I'm going to be boring, and you're going to be even more boring. Is this turning into some kind of dominatrix thing isn't it? Like telling me what to do, this is weird.

Go on, go on. No, no, this is just asking boring questions. Okay.

And we're helping people go to sleep and relax. By the way, you have got a nice voice. Have I? Thank you.

I think everyone, you're putting it on though, normally you sound like an old witch. So, I think you're, you're, I think you're, I'm joking everyone. It's a good job I've known you for 15 years.

It's a good job, I know that you're joking, or I hope you are. Yeah I am, of course I'm joking. I'm only, I can get away with it because.

I'm not sure whether I can beat your voice though. Well, it's a different voice isn't it? Yours is a very relaxing, soothing, sending sleep voice. Ah, well it is a thing, you knew me before I started doing recordings didn't you? Yes.

So, you knew me just before I started doing this stuff. Well not before I started doing it, but before I started, because, tell everyone how you met me. Go on, tell everyone.

I met Jason because I was in severe pain. I had severe nerve pain in both hands, and it came on overnight. And I basically searched the world almost for, and I literally, I went to Pennsylvania for help, and I live in the UK.

I spoke to people, doctors, surgeons, all sorts, just to try and get help for my pain. And I came across Miss Mullen on the internet. And I drove some two and a half hours from where I live to where he lives in the UK.

Because he was undertaking hypnotherapy and specialised in nerve pain. And I never felt that I could actually relax enough on my own. And Jason did a very good job of helping me do that.

And we became friends. And in time, I got to live with my pain and managed it. But it turned out to be a strict disc in my neck.

Isn't that weird though, how something, not weird, but I know all about referred pain, because I studied pain, didn't I? Chronic pain. But the idea that something so far away from your hands could be the cause. But then I suppose logically, anything to do with your spinal cord, because that's where all the nerve endings go, isn't it? From your brain to the different parts of your body.

So that's how we feel, isn't it? And the other thing is that even though you can have an MRI scan or an X-ray, it doesn't always show up the fact that your disc is bulging or hitting the nerve. And therefore, you will be told that you don't have a problem. And they almost think you're mad.

Is it weird to tell you that my disc is bulging right now? I'm sorry. I hope you're looking at this. No, I'm not.

I'm keeping this in. No, don't keep that in, please. Yeah, I won't.

And so, yes, I'm sure a lot of people who are in severe pain across the world are certainly listening to this right now. You know what? And I totally understand it, and I commiserate, and I have so much sympathy. Do you know what annoys me? What's that? I shouldn't really say this, but I'm going to tell you.

I specialised in chronic pain, didn't I? That was the only thing that I was interested in back then. I was working full-time, paying... This was 15 years ago. Yeah, I was working full-time in insurance.

Actually, this was 15 years ago, yeah. Oh, it was 2006. I was working full-time and then paying for advertising.

I paid £700. That's how much the leaflets costed me that I was posting around. Seriously, that was just back then.

And then it went really well. I had 100% success rate as far as reducing people's chronic pain. Brilliant.

You know, 100% according to them. Obviously, people can lie, can't they? But what's the point? And I find that most people with chronic pain will not tell you it's gone unless it's not reduced, unless it's actually reduced. The weird thing is that sometimes you don't even realise it's gone when it's gone.

Yeah. If that makes sense. You can't actually pinpoint the moment that it did go.

It's like going to the... well, you know, sometimes people go to the dentist and... I'm going to have to stop there, Jason. We're in a petrol station. I'm not allowed to have the phone going on the petrol station.

Oh, we've got to finish the conversation. Yeah. We'll start again.

I'll ring you back when I get home. Alright, OK. It's going to be quite late, to be honest.

That'll be about... that'll be about... quarter past nine. Oh, I'll be finished. It's about half past nine.

I'll be finished this, Dad. Doesn't Dean want to, like, can't you park up and talk for another half an hour? No, I've just got to put Daisy up. This is your chance to be a superstar.

I know. Put that bit in, anyway, and then just carry on. Try it.

That idiot bit I said I've got to stop now. No, because I'm going to continue the recording. This is going to be... this is going to be released in about an hour.

Oh, gosh. It's... I'm 13 minutes in, you see, so I still... it doesn't matter. I said hello to you.

Hello, everybody. I do hope you found this boring. You're asleep now.

Yeah, right. And I will come back to you soon. No, you won't.

Jason. Yes, you won't. You won't.

We are... we're thinking about doing a podcast together, aren't we? Yes, we are. And we haven't really... basically, we're both... well, Andrea is currently a therapist, and I, of course, used to be a counsellor. I like to think once a counsellor, always a counsellor, but I'm not practising, am I? So... but I am still a therapist, kind of.

You are. Qualified. Qualified.

Yeah. Yes. So we were thinking about maybe taking questions and answering, doing like a... maybe a weekly podcast.

And to be fair... Ideas welcome. Ideas welcome. And what we've done here, though, we're just pointing out you haven't got to come here, have you? No.

We can do it on the phone, which means I haven't got to see you. Exactly. Isn't that good? Yeah, you haven't got to look at me, so... I was going to say, look at your beard, because I don't like beards.

No, I've trimmed my beard. Yeah, that's good. Do you know what's weird? Here's a weird thing, right? Someone told me that I look disgusting.

This is online. People are very brave online. How rude.

I know. You wouldn't say that to their face, would you? That's very rude. But my beard was really, really gross.

But I did it on purpose. You know, I let it grow out. And I didn't think it looked that bad at the time, and then I trimmed it.

I looked at the picture the other day, and it was awful. David Pellamy? It was. Oh, did you see it? You saw it at the time, didn't you? I did.

David Pellamy. It was really bad, wasn't it? It was great. It looked horrible.

It's quite weird, though, because at the time, I didn't think it looked that bad. I wonder what things were living in it, you know? Well, I did find some bits of, well, I think, I hope it's chocolate. The thing is, Andre liked it because he was always searching.

He could find things to nibble on. Bits of food. He used to actually eat, honestly, what he did.

Because before that, he used to get food and run to the corner and hide it. He started hiding it in my beard, so he didn't even bother getting it off my lap. He'd eat a bit and then just... I'm so pleased that it's gone.

Yeah, it was nice to play with. Well, I'm on Prozac, so I've got nothing else to play with at the moment. So, the beard was something that was pretty good.

But anyway, this is Andrea, so I thought I'd introduce... I just had the idea, as I was recording, I pressed the pause button on the recording, called you up, you answered instantly, which is weird. Yes, because I'm in the car. You know, Andrea's had the same answering machine since I met her.

Yes. Hello, my name is Andrea. Please leave a message at the... Did I ever tell you about my dad's answering machine message in the 90s? He sounded like a robot.

I'm going to let you tell everyone about that. Oh, I'll tell everyone. I'm bowing out now.

All right, well, everyone, let me know if you want me to do a podcast with Andrea. And any ideas, topics. And also what we should call it.

And I'm going to let you say goodbye, Andrea, to everyone. Love you. Bye.

Bye. Bye-bye. Oh, good, she's gone.

So, weirdo. I... Yeah, my dad used to have this answering machine in the 90s. Before, in the old days, he used to get answering machines and they were robotic.

Please leave a message after the... like that. That's how he had his answering machine. You are through to Mr. Newland.

Please leave a message after the... That's how he sounded. It was his voice, but robotic. And he does not talk like that in real life.

Imagine that, like... Merry Christmas, Jason. Hope you have a wonderful time. Please enjoy the presents I sent.

Huh, anyway. So, that was Andrea. And... The thing is, because we've known each other for a long time, we make each other laugh.

And... There is... We've been thinking about doing a podcast of some kind. But maybe from a therapeutic-led podcast, but at the same time keeping it light. You know, we can joke around as well, so it doesn't have to be super serious, which isn't really... Well, I'm not really a super serious person, generally.

I can be serious, but... I thought it would be good to have a bit of fun. And I think this world needs... You can't have, you know... You can't have too much fun available, you know. There's not a huge amount these days, sometimes.

So, a little bit of light relief. As well as maybe something useful. So, it could be a nice mixture of things.

It won't be as a replacement for this, because this is something completely different. And... To introduce you to someone on here... I don't think I've ever done that before, have I? Have I? I don't know. I might have done.

I'm not sure. But I was quite surprised. And I will have to listen back to it.

I won't listen back to the whole conversation, because I was there. I don't want to relive it. But... I want to listen back to the quality of the sound.

Because, from my angle... And I had my headphones on. The sound quality's from her. Considering she was on the phone, and I was on the phone.

I had on a loudspeaker. It's a very good quality sound. Which means... Especially with the various lockdown tiers and stuff... She can't actually come into my house.

She's not allowed in here. Because she's a... I don't know what all the rules are anymore. I've given up trying to learn them.

It's... It's a bit like French, you know. I tried French. I tried to learn some of the words.

I learned some of the words, but the sentences... I think like... Or something, I don't know. I don't know. But yeah, I don't know what some of the stuff means, but... I did notice one thing though, when I went to France.

When I was... What was I? Eighteen. Went to France. I was there for about five days.

Travelling across France with a new friend. And... Whenever I got somewhere where there was... I think it might have been in Paris. And we went to another place that was quite busy as well.

And I used to try and talk to the women. Just... The directions, or you know, just stuff like that. Just sort of an excuse to talk to these... To these ladies.

I was eighteen. I wanted to talk to women. And they ignored me.

It wasn't like in London or whatever. It was like, sorry I don't understand what you're saying. They ignored me.

Like absolutely... So I was saying, excuse me, do you speak English? Nothing. Not, no. No, no, no, no, no, no.

But nothing. Very surprised. Seems the only people that did talk to me were those that I was giving money to.

They seemed to be okay to speak English. Like in all the, you know, hotels and places like that. Where you go and eat, restaurants.

They happily speak English. Perhaps I should have given money to people in the street. Please talk to me.

I'm lonely. I just want to be friends. So yeah, Andrea.

Blimey. God, I wonder how many other people I could bring onto here. I could do a, every now and then do a, like a special conversation with somebody.

I know that's, I mean it might not be, it's not the same as me waffling on about nothing. But it's probably a more interesting, boring session than a, than normal. Would that make sense? I don't know.

I don't know. I don't know what to say. I'm not, I'm not sure.

I'm not sure. Had another missed message. Or missed call today.

At three o'clock. Don't know who it was. Oh, you know what I did? I'm all excited.

I'm all full of energy. Okay, let's calm down. Okay, here we are.

I posted a picture of Andrea on Facebook. And I swear, honestly, it's such a cute picture. It's, it's not as clear as I'd like it to be.

But I think that's partly because he was wiggling about when I was taking lots of different pictures. And I've, I've edited it so that it's only his head showing. But he's got his tongue sticking out.

He's just, he's the cutest little thing in the world, honestly. He really is so cute. I've had three comments.

Okay, so there's a picture of Andre. Andre's a ferret, yeah? With his tongue sticking out. Molly, Molly writes, Your hair grew back quickly, Jason.

Rude. Very, very rude. Even, even Kissy says, Molly.

Oh, Molly, Molly. Naughty. Very naughty.

Oh, Kissy, Kiss. I've had to sit that wrong as well. You know what? I keep pronouncing people's names wrong.

Goo, Goo, Goss, Gess, Gessy. Gess. I've had this problem for ages.

I don't even know why. I think it's because I was brought up, brought up as a, A very, well, I was looking at, um, Who is this Molly? Let's have a look. Wow, she's pretty.

Wow, she's really, really cute. Look at her eyes. Beautiful smile.

Wow. I'm on Molly's, um, Facebook page and I'm just looking at her friends list. One of her friends is really nice.

Hehe. Mmm. Mmm.

Mmm. So today has been quite a successful day as far as podcasting goes for me self.

Now you know I reached two million if you listen to me you'll know I've reached the two million mark I've now got two million and 12,000 and for some reason today I've got and it's not even nine o'clock here in the evening so there's nine ten eleven twelve one there's still four and a half hours left of the day before the stats are finished so so far I've got six thousand seven hundred and sixty two downloads so yesterday I had five hundred five thousand and twenty six day before five thousand nine hundred and three day

before that Sunday was less than five thousand that's four thousand eight hundred and thirty eight so I don't know don't seem to get less than five thousand much but six seven six two which means I'm looking at an eight thousand eight thousand plus downloads today Wow and I've only just uploaded some new recordings as well oh wow look at that all right body and mind yes I've done one two three three recordings so far but two of them have been with music as well so that's five although this one hasn't been released yet and some

of the ones that I've just released haven't actually had any hardly any listens yet so the sleep hypnosis weekly which I've just done one's got 37 and one's got 22 downloads so they normally get well they get a lot more than that that's all anyway I'll stop talking about stats I can't help it it's all I care about I love it so much you know I really do yes I really do I love it so much yes I do thing is six seven eight eight thousand two twenty three eight twenty oh it's not very good

11,000 okay just looking at something so yeah I have my delivery today a few hours ago I couldn't believe I put down no substitutes I'm not you know not prejudiced I just didn't didn't want any substitutes because the supermarket I don't know who they get packing their produce for delivery but some of them clearly don't understand the products that they're packing which I find a little bit worrying so what did I have once it was what was it yeah I think I had cheese and they didn't have the cheese so they sent me shampoo instead

or something ridiculous like that I remember thinking this is just tastes horrible you know even mayonnaise didn't take the taste away and I don't even like mayonnaise so I don't trust them with the we've put in alternative products in the event of them not having what I've ordered so that's what I did and I didn't add I do have didn't have the milk that I wanted which meant I've got no milk which meant going to the garage which is something that I don't want to do I don't want to go to the garage that kind

of the point of getting a delivery is so that I don't have to go and buy this stuff you know so that's why I don't go out I don't go out when it's raining I wouldn't do that I might as well start having showers and baths you know if I have to sort of dry myself off I might as well start washing no so I had my delivery it's only a little while ago two hours two and a half hours I got really excited I said wow carrier bags and he said it's frozen stuff so

the frozen stuff comes in carrier bags but not not the rest of it I was just bending over picking stuff up it's just ridiculous honestly if I ever meet Greta Gutenberg or whatever her name is I am gonna chuck a carrier bag at her I am nothing in it just gonna chuck it crunched up carrier bag and just grunt can't blame her for everything I feel a spitting image is if you don't know what it is it's a TV show it's basically mocking various famous people predominantly politicians really but they had that Greta Thunberlina on

there the puppet is it puppets and it's so good it just had her miserable face angry and miserable and she I think she was doing the weather forecasters we're gonna have weather oh it's gonna be hot or something like that it's just and it honestly identical normally they're caricatures but hers was actually identical to her to her actual face just that miserable you know bless her angry angry little girl and I saw a thing on YouTube where they showed a question answer where she was on a panel but she didn't have any prepared scripts to

read and it was about six or five other people on this panel on the stage and the audience were asking questions but every single one of them were asking her and she kept saying can why don't you direct to other people and they kept oh she sees the most famous they were probably there to laugh not laugh at I mean to see her and because she didn't have a prepared speech she didn't have anything to say so she just sat there and couldn't talk because she hadn't got anything prepared I wonder why she was what

she thought was gonna happen I mean she's so famous or she was she got she got overtaken by the coronavirus that became more famous than her but before the coronavirus that was you know she was her and her little followers were closing cities around the world with blockades and stuff weren't they see you remember that far back see the beginning of this year there was a possible war about to happen with America see it's hard to it was it with Iran or something I don't know wasn't there some hostage situation or something was bombed or

whatever so there was like really possibility of military action happening at any minute this is in January and then that kind of didn't happen thankfully and then we had all this stuff happening with cities and towns being shut down and being blockaded so the cars couldn't people couldn't get to work and stuff like that and then suddenly all that stuff became irrelevant when you know the little the germ appeared and decided you know to take over the world the alien invasion the it's weird isn't it the Germans couldn't take over the world but the Germans

could that's why this it was just they had too many letters in their names didn't they should have called themselves germs and maybe they'd be more successful because germs are more powerful than the Germans ever were I'll talk about the army not the German people of course because I know that the German people were definitely not behind Hitler at all when he was you know ranting on about killing Jews and stuff for you know right before the war started oh wait a minute he was doing it for years and years and years during the 30s

and people voted for him and people loved him no come on no surely not I don't like what you said about Hitler this is supposed to be a sleep session not talking about Nazis I'm not really talking about Nazis I'm just being lightly humorous about I mean for me right the Second World War is the same as Waterloo or the Boer War or the Romans invading or the Vikings it's stuff that happened before I was born and although it had a big effect on my current life so did the Roman invasions because all that stuff

if that hadn't happened imagine what kind of lifestyle we would have in England if you know would still be who knows if the Vikings hadn't invaded I suppose if they hadn't done what they did we wouldn't have any tall people living in apparently the tallest nation in the world the Viking country statistically apparently they've got their stand the average height is about six foot six foot six foot one when over here I'd say 5'9 for men over 18 maybe it is 5'8 maybe I am average but I don't class myself as I don't class myself

as short because I don't I'm not walking around constantly thinking oh he's tall he's tall he's tall most people are generally a little bit taller than me I don't mean I don't meet many people much shorter than me 5'8 seems to be the the benchmark of like no it shouldn't get much taller than this or shorter rather 5'7 I don't think there's really a lot difference between 5'7 and 5'8 5'10 5'11 you can tell the difference 6'4 again 6'4 I'd like to be 6'4 I'd like to be tall to me 6'4 isn't tall to me

6'6 is tall that's tall 6'4 would be an average height that would be the height I'd like to at the very least be 6'4 I don't class that as tall taller than me but for me just I mean all my brothers are taller than me my I don't know the exact height of them but I think my brother the one that's just two years older than me he was probably just under six foot probably 5'11 I'd say maybe 5'10 5'11 and my oldest brother probably about 6'2 maybe 6'3 this is a lot a lot taller

than me and I was a shorty I don't know really kind of genetically where that came I don't know what cesspool not cesspool genetic pool I came from I don't know because I've got ginger mixed in there I've got Irish I think I've got some French yeah my mom mom's mom was French I've got Londoner I've got lorry driver I've got a boxer my granddad was a boxer in the army anyway but he won a war he won medals and all kinds of stuff in boxing and what else probably some Scottish the reason I say

that is because my heritage from the English side is Scottish even though Scottish you know it's not English but from my granddad's side I think his heritage was Scottish my nan's side was definitely Irish because both of her parents were from Ireland they moved to London and then they had her and another 32 children and yeah I don't know how many kids had lots she had lots of brothers and sisters I think but she was the last one the I don't know she was the youngest I'm really not sure about that but she was the

last one to to to leave so I don't that's interesting I wonder if any of them were younger see her sister Teresa she passed away many years ago like probably 20 30 years before she did 34 okay maybe 20 years I remember once I saw a picture and there was there was a picture of all of them all the brothers and sisters her dad her mum there might have been cousins there as well I don't know but I think it was just brothers and sisters and there was a lot there was a lot of them

and I said who's she who's she she said that's Teresa that's my sister Teresa I said wow she's beautiful seriously she was stunning and she said well I wasn't a pile of poo was I?

I said what?

she said we go on about how lovely she is what about me I said you're my nan I don't fancy you I don't think of you like that but she seemed almost a little bit annoyed that I was saying how how pretty her sister was but I reckon that's probably because maybe she heard that a lot when she was a kid like maybe all the boys were after her sister and I don't know but my nan didn't do too bad and she got married she had lots of kids devoted husband for 50 years and I

sure she could she had a pick of the men I do find that ironic but marriage seemed to be a lot more prevalent when you know men seem to be more willing to get married when they're about to go off to war than they do these days there's something about going off to war not sure if you're gonna sort of make it that takes the edge off getting married doesn't it I suppose well what's the worst that can happen well perhaps perhaps surviving the war would be worse than not don't know I think knowing how

some men are I reckon some men probably just got married so they could you know have have a nice weekend honeymoon because that was all it was see my nan got married my neck just cracked that's weird my nan got married I think either just before the war started or she got married yeah she got married in 1939 because 1989 was her 50th wedding anniversary so she got married in 1939 I don't know what time the what date the war started was it September or something wasn't it so I think before my granddad was all

had already been in the army and he'd already done some like 12 years in the army he'd served he'd had a career in the army and he retired and he was then he went and got a job in the government so he was so he'd been in the army probably since the age of 16 to 16 26 maybe 28 or something he left the army got a job and then when he was 29 he went back into the army again called back in one he'd be one of the first people called having already been a

serving soldier I don't know if he was an officer I don't know what he was by then but he'd done his time it and he had a pension and everything from the army so when he when he left when he retired when he retired he had two pensions or did he have three pensions yeah he had the army pension he had the pension from his work because it was a government job yeah and I don't know if he also had the government pension as well I don't know how it works but you know so he

had to at least two pensions now the army pension I don't think it's I'm not sure how it works I really don't know how it works I'm making it up but yeah so he went back in the army at 29 married my nan they'd been dating for I think possibly a year or so before so they've been dating it wasn't just a quick whirlwind romance they'd been married I think she met him when she was about 10 initially I'm gonna rewind it I'm sure she told me she met him when she was a kid and

he was in the army and they were I think they were like maybe neighbors or he was friends with her brothers or some older brothers or something like that and then he came out of the army and she was an adult you know she was about 17 or something or maybe 18 and then they started dating and and then the the war started so they they got married as did thousands and thousands and thousands of soldiers and Navy and people and you know various people in that kind of situation they got married oh that was

a proper sneeze that was so they got married and they had I'm pretty sure he had a weekend leave so he was already in the army recruited back he had a weekend leave before being sent to Germany or France or wherever he was sent to and I don't know if he took the Eurotunnel probably not and my uncle my oldest uncle my my dad's oldest brother my nan's oldest son was born nine months later whilst my granddad was gone and she didn't see him as far as I know she didn't see him for six years

didn't see him for the whole duration of the thing because he was prisoner after a while so so my granddad came back to a five-year-old child Wow amazing I'd like to go on a cruise I don't mean cruising as in hey what's your name I'm GE just cruising around back on my neck it's weird it's really weird it's just cracked and it feels very a little bit hollow I could explain things I hollow neck a hollow neck how's that even possible I do sometimes wonder what would my what my granddad think of what I'm doing

here I don't think he'd be too impressed no I don't think he would I mean my nan knew what I did doing recordings of stuff but she's never I don't think she really understood it because of the internet she didn't understand the internet she didn't really kind of well I say she didn't understand it maybe she did understand it but theoretically but she didn't use it but she didn't know a little bit about what I was doing because I actually recorded a hypnosis session for chronic pain for her to listen to and I also did

a hypnosis session with her a couple of times with her there and there like talking to her where there she's there with her eyes closed and she did the typical she did what a lot of people do is at the end of the recession so let's say I was talking to her for 45 minutes or something at the end of the session she said oh my shoulder feels much better and then started to try and figure out reasons why the thing she said was I must be because of the sun shining on my shoulder and

which may well have actually had a positive effect it might be the reason but regardless of that if you don't notice that I've just been talking to you for 40 minutes while you've been sitting there with your eyes closed you think that might have something to do with it just just just a little bit maybe possibly you think you think I think I tell you what I think the most successful one of the most successful hypnosis sessions I ever did was back in was it probably 1999 yeah now maybe 2000 actually thinking about it about

2000 and my cousin was seriously not well like emotionally and some of the things she was saying was worrying me a little bit and as my relationship with her was she's I'm lucky little sister really I was got really well very close to her so I did some hypnosis with her and she was such a good trance subject so I'm talking to her for probably two hours telling her that things are going to be better and just bombarding her with positivity really so she was the other side of the room no no interruptions at all

and there was one bit where I had to kind of watch television for half an hour because something I wanted to watch so I just put that on and then I carried on talking afterwards the next day she'd forgotten all about it all about doing that with that session because I just left her to fall to sleep I just left her I didn't wake her up or nothing just left her there and she was so happy so uplifted and I hadn't seen her like that for months so really really I really felt like it worked

like I really had a beneficial benefit a beneficial benefit on her yeah eating that food really helped me to feel less hungry some of these wordings yes so other than that I went to the garage and got some milk and came home it's lovely temperature really was it's nice not cold it wasn't warm it's nearly the end of October it's not supposed to be warm I mean why expect something like that I expect the weather to be warm in October why why should it be I don't expect any kind of wind in November what the

windiest month okay course it's gonna be windy how the how the leaves gonna get off the trees if it ain't windy we need the wind to get the leaves off the trees then the tree the leaves land on the grass or on the soil and cause the soil to be soily and you know nature stuff happens it's needed that's my whole knowledge base around trees yeah yes that's my knowledge about trees that's my knowledge don't you know don't you know meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh

meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh meh me I wanted to take him out

but he's just he's been asleep he sleeps a lot more this time of year he's literally probably I would say he sleeps easily 21 hours a day at this you know in the winter time I know it's technically still autumn I don't know when winter starts November summertime isn't it but around this time once it just I mean he does still get up and goes you know has lots of energy and stuff and he was he was playing with me earlier he's very much in his sleeping pattern he's sleeping a lot a lot more than

he does in the summer I'm thinking if the if everything kind of calms down a bit in the next you know the next few months I might start trying to take Andre into town get him out of this area take him somewhere and he likes to have a fuss made of him so he quite likes that so you know take him to the park just having him play around he loves it loves being out so I might do that didn't didn't go out pretty much all this year this summer like a lot of people I

suppose just stayed in but I also called up the Open University and applied to do introduction to mental health studies it's a course 60 points course and it's postgraduate so if I did that standalone and passed it all I could then go on to do another one and if I completed that I'd have a diploma in mental health studies postgraduate and then if I did the dissertation module another 60 points that would be I'd then have a master's in the subject and each each one's per year really so I could have a master's in three

years time if they allow me on to the course so I'm just gonna wait and see I was on the phone for nearly an hour to this lady at the Open University saying you know what's happening and what have I got to do so part of me thinks you know I've been living here for five years I could have had a master's degree by now I could I could be starting a doctorate but that's it doesn't matter does it it's about now it's about the future it's not about what I could have done it's what

I'm gonna do yeah yeah yeah right so do believe that's it for me for today thank you very much for listening remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy lots of love bye
