I was going to make a serious recording about letting go of the past, but for some reason my brain was unable to be serious, so I will do it another time. Yeah, that's weird. The TV has come to a stop.
We are temporarily unable to show the scheduled content on plus one at this moment. I wonder why that is. That was the news as well.
Just to let you know that my website jasonnewland.com has been changed and I kind of need to keep telling people because although the website address is still the same, it's kind of not in a way. Because there's a, I think the previous one was https://www.jasonnewland.com or something like that. It was kind of a bit of a, you know, now it's just www.jasonnewland.com. Eventually the internet will sort itself out and it will just be, you know, if you put in jasonnewland.com, it will come up.
As it is, Google has updated the website in a sense of if you put my name in, Google it, my website will now come up as it is now and you can click on that and it'll come up. And it's now a podcast with all of my recordings. All of them.
Yes, all of them. And so it's okay. It's not a bad little thing.
And all of the, oh okay, all of the recordings can be listened to without adverts and also you can download everything as well if you were chosen to do so. It's a weird one though because I'm getting less visitors to the website than I did before. But I think that's partly because there was thousands of links and thousands of pages and stuff on the other website that were kind of online so it was drawing in traffic.
So this new podcast doesn't kind of have the same, the weight behind it in some ways. But it's probably what I need for what I do. Does that make sense? It just, it seems to be the obvious thing.
I do podcasts now. It's predominantly all I do now. I do as far as videos go.
Although I'm still thinking about getting back into the videos. But generally it's all about the podcasts. And that might change in the future.
I mean, who knows. Podcasts, it might be a different thing occurring online in five years time or whenever. And I'll still be around doing my thing and all the old stuff will still be available in whatever format it can be available in.
So at the moment that format is a podcast. Now, just to remind you, I only play within the actual website. If you go to Podbean, because there's a banner below and above on the website, especially if you go onto the website, use a phone, which most people do, that will take you to a different page where there will be an advert.
So yeah, it's probably, you can have advert free on Podbean for £8.99. But that kind of, for me, that defeats the point of me opening up and paying for a new website so that you can have an advert free listening experience, you know. And the only reason I did it really is because, I mean, most people are pretty much okay with the adverts. It's only at the beginning of the recording.
And, but some people didn't like them. So that's why I've offered that alternative, which I think was really groovy of me, actually. Very, very groovy, indeed.
So you kind of got the best of both worlds. The adverts will help me pay towards the costs of running this service, which includes not just the online stuff that I have to pay for every month, but also the software, the hardware, all that stuff that I'm paying for regularly in order to provide this. So, you know, hopefully that will help towards that expenses, those expenses, including the cost of the podcast, which is, you know, advert free.
So I think it kind of ticks all the boxes, kind of. Now I've just got to find someone that is good at doing recordings to replace myself with. That's what I need.

It's how it's supposed to be. What I was thinking of doing, here's what I was thinking of doing, is making a recording, like a proper, not proper, but like a progressive relaxation slash sleep session and posting it on here with an introduction, you know, like hello, welcome to Let Me Boy To Sleep and just let you experience what I do elsewhere. I suppose partly just to prove that I can be mildly professional.
And because those recordings are more popular than these ones, than the Let Me Boy To Sleep, even though they are, you know, based to pull you to sleep. So, you know, I thought I might do that maybe once a week, like a special sleep session. I don't know.
I don't know what you think. Or maybe just a one off, just for a, I don't know. I mean, part of what I was doing originally, what I was aiming to do originally was to talk, be boring, and then lead into a sleep session where I'm doing like sleep hypnosis.
That was the original kind of outlay in my head when I first started making these recordings. And if you listen to the very first recording, it actually is a sleep recording. And I didn't even know what I was going to call it.
All I knew is I was doing something new, I guess, something new for me. I didn't know what name to give it. I kind of knew that I wanted to do something different.
I wanted to, not just for others, but also for me, you know, to make things a little bit more interesting for myself, doing something unique for me. I mean, it turned out that I'm not the only person doing this kind of stuff. Although I think I am.
I think you, I think you, unless other people have started doing it since me, I don't think you'll find anyone doing it like me. Does that make sense? I mean, there are some boring recordings, boring sessions and stuff like that out there. And not called boring in the title or bore.
In fact, I should have called this, let me boring you to sleep because I'd have got listed higher. But just the word bore is not enough. Sleep is quite a good word to have in the title.
So I kind of, when I first started doing this, I didn't know anyone else was doing anything even similar, genuinely didn't. And I'm sure some people think, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you just copied that man that does it. I really, honestly, I didn't copy no one.
I, the only reason I started doing these is because I was doing the Jason chats. And I did a couple of Jason chat videos, or recordings, maybe a video, yeah, probably videos. And someone said to me, I wish you'd do more of these because just listening to you talking about your life bores me to sleep.
And that's when I thought, oh, okay. Part of me was a little bit insulted. And then I thought, oh, and then they posted, oh, I didn't mean that insulting me wise, just it's just your voice and the way you just read, you know, randomly just talk about different things and go off on a tangent.
And it's just hard to follow. So your mind drifts, as does mine, I guess when I'm talking. And that is actually a hypnotic technique.
Sorry to break it to you. It's been doing hypnosis all along. Oh, no, we're guinea pigs.
No, you're not guinea pigs. Do you go like that a lot? Is that a guinea pig sound? I don't know. But there is a hypnosis technique where you basically, can you hear my stomach? I don't know if I've got any food in.

Basically, I've got a delivery. But the delivery that I've got ordered, I need to change it before 11 o'clock. I was worried it might be nine o'clock.

So I'm just going through what I've got. Don't need any brown rice. I've already not even eaten the stuff I've got already.

I always get... So the milk I get now, and you might not know what it is, so you might know what it is. Cravendale pure filter milk. I'll get semi-skimmed, but to be fair, when it's pure filtered, Cravendale, it just tastes good.
It lasts longer. It tastes really nice. Tastes fresh, like continuously.
I don't drink it out of a glass. I use a thimble. No, I don't use it out of a glass.
I just have it on my breakfast cereal and in my coffee. But it's really nice. I've got some tea cakes, tomatoes.
I'm going to get rid of that because I didn't even eat any of the ones that I got last time. I've got some ice cream cones. It's only four.
I can treat myself to that. Actimel yogurt drink. Is it Wednesday? One, the next time I get a delivery will be on the 7th.
It's Wednesday. I don't need any of them. Not till next week.
I've got enough. I just opened a pack of eight and I had one. So there's enough now for the next seven days.

So John West no drain fridge pot tuna steak. Now I've still got two left. So I'm thinking I probably don't need that.

Breakfast cereal, Weetabix. I got a Megabox last week. I don't need that either because I've still got half of that left.
So I mix between Weetabix and what's it called? Muesli. So there's no brown rice available, but I don't need that because I've not eaten any of the brown rice I've already bought. Cadbury's dairy milk buttons dessert.
Half price. So I'm going to go for them. So one and a flake one.
So it's only 47 pence each. I'm allowed to treat myself. And this is the big treat.
It's Haagen-Dazs ice cream, Belgian chocolate, £4.20. I only, so I'm not, there's not a lot of treats on there. It's not a lot of treats. It's not.
There isn't. That's my little treat. And then there's the toilets, a soft toilet tissue box.

Um, let me see. No, I think that was, they've given me the wrong thing. They gave me the wrong thing because either that or I ordered the wrong thing because it was little boxes of toilet rather than toilet roll.
It's ridiculous. So now I've got it down to £40.44. So let me search for stuff that I actually need. Toilet wipes.
That's what you really need to hear about, isn't it? Um, Sainsbury's dispersible toilet wipes. No, because I put too lit. Why? That's not, that's weird.
I'll just put in toilet. Okay. Super soft.
Oh, super soft. They're basically wet wipes. You know what? I think, I mean, I'm not even joking here.
I feel we need to look after our bums. We need to treat them gently. Um, um, why? This is much easier on a, on a laptop than it is on the iPad.

It's not here. None of the Slimfast stuff is available and I don't understand it. I really don't.
I don't understand it. Is it weird? I don't need any food for Andre because Ariana sent me quite a bit of food a while back. That is dwindling a little bit, but it's been great, brilliant to have help with that stuff.
Because a while back, all I could do is order it on Amazon. So what I need, a couple of things. I reckon I'm going to go for some tomatoes.
So let me have a look at the trolley because it's going to end up with lots of chocolate on if I'm not careful. Yeah. I'll get rid of those.
Don't need those. And I'll get 10 toothpastes just for the simple fact that I need to start stocking up on certain things. So I'll do the toothpaste this week.
Can't do the wet wipe until hopefully next week because they're not available now. It's very strange though. I'm going to go back to favourites and see if they have anything unoptional because normally they do that.
If there's something not available, they'll say, hey, but have you tried this one? This one's available. Maybe not in such an annoying voice, but you know what I mean. Come on, come on, come to daddy.

And there's these antibiotic things that go on it. It's made by Flash. It's really good.
And it's only when I started using it that I realized how much I needed to use them, especially in the kitchen. So I've just been... I did a little bit last night, and I might do a little bit later today, and maybe some tomorrow. Just do it gradually.
But it's like, wow. You know? And... Did you know? Did you know that when it snows, my eyes become wild and alert? What was I going to do? I was... Yes, I've got these things. I'm quite pleased, quite pleased with the cleaning thing that I've got.
It's just a case of, you know what I mean? It's just... I suppose it's about doing it, isn't it? It's about just getting on with it and cleaning, but... And I assembled it. I was quite surprised because, bear in mind, it's a mop with a handle, and it came in a little box. I was like, okay, they've forgotten the handle.
And it was... The handle was a put-together thing. You know, you put it together. But it was like... You know when you go camping, and you've got those stupid... Well, not stupid, I'll stop saying that.
You know when you put the poles together in camping, or you're putting together something similar to that, you know, an outdoor thing? And you've got one bit of metal with a hole in it at the end. A hole in the side, rather. I mean, they've all got... It's a tube.
They've all got holes in it. But in the side, there's a hole, and in the other one, there's a little knob that goes down that you push in and then turn around, and it goes into the hole. And you can easily take it apart by just pushing it down and turning it around, and you can take it apart.
Well, there's nothing like that. It's exactly like that. And I've never had anything that did that before.
That was the whole story. Oh, and I know what I need. I know what I need.

So I'm going to take the toothpaste down to just one, get rid of that, get rid of the black bags because I'm sure I've got some in the cupboard. So I've got it down to £62.79. Need the bread, need the cheese. I'm keeping the sausages.
I don't need the ice cream. I don't. So... Oh, that's weird.
So I got rid of the tuna. I don't need that. What else I haven't got rid of that I thought I had? I don't need all those different biscuits, so I'll just keep... Yeah, I'll just keep two of them.
I'm going to get one pack of clean, moist tissues because I've already got some as well. I do need two loaves of bread. That's what I do, so I'll keep that.
So I have one and then I put the other one in the freezer. Do I need Mars ice creams? I don't need them. But I'll tell you what, I'll get rid of the ice cream cones.
So I'll just stick to the Mars ice cream. So I won't have both. And as far as chocolate, I've only got one thing and that's the Twix's.
So I'll keep the Twix's as far as being in the fridge. I've got the two desserts. Yeah, I'm going to keep those.
But do I need the Haagen-Dazs ice cream Belgian chocolate for £4.20? No, I'm going to get rid of that. So I've got it down to £48.99. So I think I've got... It's really weird, when I look at it, it's like nothing on there. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17.
17 different products. And some of them will be a couple of... According to this is 25. But I think this... I don't know.
So... 25, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23. So it's 23. They're including two things that aren't even available.
So why are they including that? Oh. Well, I got rid of one. And for some reason, they're still sticking.

That's a bit hefty. So, have I actually got any food? I've basically just got stuff for sandwiches. Stuff for sandwiches.
And a bit of some drinks. £47.74. For 23 items. Now I'm looking at other things I can get rid of to bring it down, but I don't think there is.
I could get rid of the ice creams, but it's the only ice cream I'm going to have in there. I've got cheese, which is good. I need cheese.
And some stuff to go in sandwiches, really. That's about it. And one toothpaste.
I'll get rid of the sausages. Don't need them. I've got stuff in the freezer.
So I've got it down to £45.74. This makes me think. I don't like things that make me think. Cravendale milk.
Do I need four? One, two. Yeah. Because I've run out of milk now.
I've got nothing for my breakfast in the morning. So I'm going to be having marmalade on toast. Which is alright.

So that's one of my little stock ups. That's done. Yeah.

OK. So it's done. So it's £41.69. They don't take the money until tomorrow.
Which is good because I don't have any money now. No instructions provided. So it's a very small delivery then.
Very tiny delivery. When I took off the Because they included the Slimfast drinks. Even though they weren't available.
So when I went to save the trolley. Went to checkout. They offered me something else instead.
Which was the The powder which you mix with milk. And I said no. I don't want that.
And then they said in that case you can't have a delivery. Because it was under £40. That's the minimum you have to spend to get delivered.
So I went back. You were there when I did it weren't you? Why am I telling you this? Anyway, so that's what I did. So I added the extra toothpastes on.
Which is good. Everything else. It's all groovy.
It's all done. So next delivery 11am to 12pm. So am I able to book another slot or not? Does it allow me to? Thursday... The next slot will be... I can't do till next week.

So I just got a message there. It was quite weird. But I won't read it out because it was... Yeah it was weird.
So this has been an extra boring recording. Because it just travelled with me through my booking and online delivery. Which is something I couldn't do for like 4 months.
And... Because this week has been a particularly... Well what happened is... I had 60... Let's have a look. Let me tell you what it says on my... Online account. Couldn't believe it.
Seriously. I was not even... Why is it not even telling me? OK. So I was just living my life.
You know as you do. Just doing my thing. And... Suddenly my account says minus £63.50 And it says at the top You've exceeded your overdraft limit and may incur charges Please make a payment to bring your account to a nil balance or to within your agreed overdraft limit.
I thought OK So... £63.50 in the red before I even start the week. So... That wasn't supposed to happen. So now 63 plus 141 So I was saying 60... 60... £105 Yeah about £105 I've spent so far.
Will be tomorrow. And then... Oh well. Isn't it exciting? Why are they taking money out of my account when there isn't any in there? And I don't actually have an overdraft.
That's what surprises me about this particular situation. I don't have an overdraft. I'll say it one more time.

It really is. I don't have an overdraft. How can they take money out of my account? They're only supposed to take money out that's in there.
And if money tries to go out I mean for example If I go into a shop and I try and pay for something with my card and if there's not enough money in the account it declines. Simple as that. Yeah a direct debit Oh that's alright.

Especially as a direct debit should have gone out on the 1st. Not the 14th or whatever day it was done. I've never been so angry.
So yeah that's it really. So I've got my delivery. Basic basics.
I've got enough. I'm just amazed sometimes at how much it adds up. I mean £40 is not a lot of money but what am I getting for that £40? Not a lot.
I mean I think I'd be yeah it's not a lot in there. That's alright though. It's alright.
It doesn't really matter.
But then next week I've got the toothpaste so probably next week I'll try and get a get a few of the toilet wipe things toilet roll things and maybe the following week get some mouthwash maybe try and get 10 of those and then the following week maybe look at maybe getting some I don't know what else I need deodorant maybe I've got enough soap for a while yeah maybe do a little bit more get a little bit more toothpaste you know it's just about stocking up really which is what I do anyway I'm not doing
it because of 2020 I do it because I've done it for years actually stocked up I mean sometimes I start the new year where I've got enough of everything apart from food so I've got enough pretty much of everything to get me through for the whole year I mean one year I've got enough food for Andre to last the whole year so that was quite good but at the moment I think I've got enough to last me for a little while with him because he's he's now eating about 2 packs a day which he never
used to I'm not quite sure he's just got more of an appetite however I'll tell you what is weird he hasn't been pestering me to go out which is what he normally does I don't think I've taken him out for about 3 days and he hasn't bothered me to go out so I don't quite understand that maybe he's not feeling himself I don't know I'm still giving him lots of cuddles and spending time with him but he's sleeping a lot and yeah he does that in the winter but it's not winter yet he sleeps a
lot all year round but in winter he specifically or especially sleeps a heck of a lot more I don't know what to eat though oh I've got eggs that's what I'm going to do I'm going to have an egg on toast wow how brilliant is that I've never been so excited honestly it's like wow an egg I'm going to have an egg and I'll put it in some boiling water so I suppose kind of poach it well I haven't got it poached I've already bought the thing well I don't need to poach it so I'm
going to eat an egg on toast perhaps with a little bit of tomato ketchup see these days I don't know why but I tend to just eat because I have to I don't seem to really have much of an appetite it's like I don't know or even cravings in the past when I've been pregnant I could really fancy that but I think I did a little bit probably the first half of the year or the first quarter of the year maybe maybe the first half I wanted to get a takeaway I wanted to go and
do stuff that I wasn't able to do anymore at that time now I'm not so bothered and also through that period from like March, April, May I had these meals the already kind of packaged meals that were mainly, basically for elderly people that was their target audience and they're okay but I got sick of them it was just like putting them in a microwave and then eating them it just, yeah I just got fed up with them I just can't, the idea of eating them no thanks it's because I just had them, I had too
many of them I don't know, if I had someone cooking for me I think I'd be quite cool with that I think I'd probably have more of an appetite as long as it wasn't the same stuff all the time a little bit of variation not really into takeaway kind of food generally, like curries and stuff not every now and then but not really that into that stuff like a home cooked meal I'm trying to think of something shepherd's pie, I don't know and a dessert I think if I was back in the old days when
I was slim all the time and I could eat anything I would quite like to have like a home meal situation where, not whole meal as in bread but home cooking I think would be quite cool the only time I ever really had regular home cooking outside of when I was a kid after I left home I mean after the age of 15 regular home cooking didn't happen apart from this one period when I was working as a canvasser for double glazing and I had this cafe that was round the corner from where I lived
and I went in there every day probably apart from Sunday, I don't think they were open Sundays and had a cooked meal and you could say, well that's not a home cooked meal, that's in a cafe yeah, but it was a proper cooked meal you know, it was lasagna or it was shepherd's pie or roast dinner it was proper yeah, I didn't bother with things like fish and chips and burgers and stuff like that that was my meal of the day and in the evening I'd probably have a take out or a sandwich or something
and I was their main customer you know, they opened up and I was there every single day and I just remember, I just got a memory of what I used to like to eat, wait a minute what is it?
An omelette I didn't have an omelette every day but I think I used to love having a nice omelette I do like omelettes yeah, I do I could have one now actually couldn't I? no, I haven't got enough milk I might just have some marmalade on toast anyway that's it, I think I've done enough it's been a really especially boring recording this time and I think that's good sometimes because I think I think maybe on occasions I'm too damn interesting and it's nice to get back to basics of actually focusing on the real, real boringness of being boring in a boring lifestyle it's important so I'm gonna go, I'm gonna say thank you for listening and remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy do something nice for yourself today lots of love bye
