Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Lumann. This is Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Today is Saturday the 29th of August, according to my phone, 2020.

And this is going to be where you only listen when you can safely close your eyes. If you need that explaining to you why you should only listen to a sleep recording when you can safely close your eyes. If you actually need that explaining to you, please stop the recording and never listen again.

Go back to kindergarten, re-enroll, and re-start your education. Come back when your brain works well. But hey, only listen when you can safely close your eyes.

Yeah, Jason, that was very rude. I'm only kidding. You can't re-enroll in kindergarten, can you? Is it garden? We don't have kindergarten here in the UK.

I always used to think it was kindergarten. You have kinder X. We just have play school, I think. Or I don't know.

I don't care. I don't have kids, so I haven't got to worry about it. But it goes somewhere.

I've known quite a few women that, well, young females over the years, that they have to get pregnant again. I think after the first three years or something. Otherwise, they have to get a job.

It used to be really good back in the old days, because you could have as many kids as you want. You can get full benefits. But then they capped it at two or something like that, or three, the government.

So they capped it so you could only get a full for the first two. And then after that, it goes down. It's not fair.

And to be fair, in reality, you know what, I don't have kids. But after an evening of looking after a child or two, just doing all the stuff that parents have to do, and then getting up again in the morning, getting them up, ready for school, I need to go back to bed. After a whole weekend, I would need the next five days to recover.

It's not easy. I know it's not easy, really. I've dated women.

I've got kids. I just, it was easier for me. I never lived with them.

And so I could see the pressure. I've dated quite a few single mothers over the years. A few, not many, but a few.

And I've had a lot of pressure. I think I was a bit of like relief for everyone, really, you know, just me and my silly jokes. Just everyone seemed to, it was a bit of, took their mind off of the day-to-day stuff.

That's pretty much all I can offer is... But yeah, I remember I dated one lady and I dated her a few times. I fell in love with her when I was 17 and she had three kids. The oldest was about six and then the other one was about four and the other one was about one or something like that.

They're all really young. And I got on really well with all of them. But I didn't date her.

I fell in love with her. And I just used to hang around her house. I used to babysit the kids every now and then.

And then she'd come over and she'd go out to nightclubs, have fun. She was young. She was only about 25 when I was 17.

And I was in love with her, completely besotted. But she wasn't interested in me. I was just a kid.

She wanted a man. It's understandable. I was not a man at that age.

I still wonder, really. And then I did date her in, actually dated her, boyfriend, girlfriend in 2000, but the end of 2003, during parts of 2004. So by that time, her oldest girl was older, all older.

They need to stay the same age, but she got older. But she was a teenager. She was going through this being a teenager.

So I always got on really well with her. But her and her mum didn't get on so well, just because she was a teenager. It's just standard stuff and family dynamics.

And I'm not going to go into those details because it's no one else's business but them. But it was strange. And I kept contact with her years and years and years, many years.

Including the kids. And then the two kids she had afterwards, one of which I thought was mine, because we kind of got together every now and then. But we were friends.

We were good friends. And I think she liked me better once I got older, because I was an adult, I suppose. You know, I lost contact with all of them, really.

Which is a shame. You know, I'm not going to go into that. It's personal stuff.

But I just, I don't even know why I was thinking about it. What was I thinking about that? Oh, yeah, looking after kids. And apart from her kids, who I got on with most of them really well, the two girls, I did think of them as my own kids.

And I would have adopted them if I could. Seriously, I love them to bits. But hey, it's not that I love them.

I still do love them. I just don't see them anymore. I don't hear from them.

But you don't stop loving someone that you've loved for, if you know someone all their life, since I was a baby, and now that I'm 22, and you might not see them for three years, you don't stop caring. It's a different kind of thing, isn't it? But they don't need me, and they've got their own lives. So who, who, who for me? You know, I never give me credit.

But that's life, isn't it? And part of it is me. I don't live near them. And I'm not the best visitor.

I don't make much effort to visit people. Anybody that knows me will tell you that. These people, honestly, I've known people for years and years, which I would class as friends, good friends, or haven't seen for years.

I might speak to them on the phone. I suppose that's why it's quite easy for me to have friends that live in other countries, because it's not that much different from having someone who's a friend that lives in the next town. Because I still wouldn't make it, I wouldn't still don't visit those.

Although I've met some people online that I would quite like to visit. So here's a list of people that I'd like to visit. I'm going to read out at the beginning of the recording, before people fall asleep.

I want to say, I want to say thank you, thank you, a big thank you to everyone really, that supports me throughout the year and everything. What I've done is today, I've been going through my expenses, how much it costs me to to run this service, how much I've spent to, and I'll go through that in a minute. But I've just been going through kind of what it costs me in actual things that I've purchased to help me with this whole thing that I do online.

And that's, I've made a note of all the Amazon things I've purchased since 2014 that are to do with running this service. I've also got the cost of the iPad Pro 2020 that I bought without paying installments, and the iPhone, both of which I use for this service. Running this thing, I use the iPad a lot for all the editing and everything that I do.

I use the, that's a point, why wouldn't very, the catalogue wouldn't give me backdated stuff that I've purchased. So I've got a list of stuff, but what I haven't got is this tablet, which was about 650 pounds. So I need to include that as well.

But that was a couple of years ago, but I use this as well. So I use both. So I might add that all up while I'm doing this recording, but I won't do it right now.

But what I have done is I've looked at people that have, sorry, I'm moving through the pages here. Yeah. In 2020, people that have helped towards the costs of running the service and sent me gifts, PayPal gifts and stuff, but also, you know, someone has been birthday gifts and Christmas gifts and just thank you gifts, but it all goes towards helping to cover the costs.

It doesn't cover the costs completely, but it definitely helps. It really does help. So I'm very grateful.

And for some reason, why didn't I write it? Oh no, I did write down. Okay. So I'm going to read out a bunch of names.

You can, if you're listening, you know who you are. If you don't, I'm not going to read the surnames out though. Okay.

And so here's some people, they're not in order. They're in, actually they are in order of who's helped, you know, who's sent me some PayPal gifts throughout this year so far. And if you want to contribute, it's PayPal.me forward slash Jason Newland.

You can go to my website, just click on the banner at the top. That'll take you there. But that's not why I'm reading these out.

I'm just reading to say thank you. So big thank you all. First of all, Helen.

Some of these names are repeated. So I'm going to repeat them. Because I was surprised at the, yeah, I don't know why I was surprised.

I didn't realize how often. I guess it's because, you know, every year it spreads out. I know we're only eight months so far.

So we're about three quarters, about two quarters, two thirds of the year done. Two, two. No, wait a minute.

September four, eight, three, six, nine. So no, so it's yeah, September would have to be over for three quarters. So September hasn't started yet.

So two thirds of the year. Four, eight, nine, ten. Yeah.

So I'm going to go through these names. And these, there's lots of other people to thank as well. Generally, I've had people send me stuff.

I appreciate everything. More than that, I appreciate people who listen and people who benefit. That's the most important thing.

So yeah, so here's Helen. Thank you, Helen. Boston.

Andrea. So I was going Boston, okay, because that's how I know. Plus, if I say Boston, she'll hear my name.

She'll know I'm referring to. Mari. Boston.

Derek. Mari. Boston.

Juicy. AL. And surname's N. So it's AL.

So you know who you are. Vicky. Boston.

Vashia. Alyssa. Jordan.

Boston. Now, I'm not 100% sure if it is Boston over these. So it might be in a different area.

But you know what I think it is. And I can't believe how many. I don't know why I was just really sort of not surprised.

Well, yeah, surprised, but not surprised, surprised because Boston has done helped me out loads over the years. I could spend a whole recording talking about that. So Doreen.

Cynthia. Mari. Raquel.

Linda. So I'm not going to say thank you after each name because this is it. I'm saying thank you to all of you.

Helen. Boston. I don't know who that is.

Andrew. Jennifer. AL.

Natalie. Susan. Viola.

Juicy. Jennifer. Teresa.

Deborah. Aria. I think that might be Boston.

Susan. Martha. AL.

Again. Elizabeth. I think that might be Boston again.

I can't read my own mind. It looks like Andrew. But I think it might be Andrea.

Boston. Susan. Arden.

I can't read my own mind. This is terrible. You know what? Genuinely, using the keyboard and now using the touch screen.

I rarely write anything. I don't know about you. I used to write all the time.

Not all the time. But I used to write journals and everything. Linda.

Jenny. Paul. Jenny.

Amanda. Rihanna. I can't read that.

I don't know who that is. Annika. Cynthia.

Jenny. Kay. Rachel.

Helen. Juicy. Elizabeth.

Viola. I might be pronouncing the name wrong. I did that with Juicy the other day.

I was calling her Kissy. The reason for that, I didn't mean to. It was because I've got someone else that follows me on Twitter that has another name that is completely, it's pronounced completely different to how it's, it looks on paper.

It's only because it's this other person, I think she's from Thailand. So she's got this name and she said it's Kissy. And Juicy sent me the same text as well in the past saying it's pronounced this way.

So I do apologize. But I do know, when I say the name, I do know who I'm talking about. I mean, this is someone who did a video for me for my birthday.

So I do know who I'm talking about. So I just sometimes get, I'm a human being. I'm a human being.

I make mistakes. Elizabeth. Viola.

I like the name Viola. I don't know why. Maybe it's like violin or violin.

Is that a flower? It's just pretty. It's kind of got pretty connotations, isn't it? It's very Viola. I don't know.

Ariana, I think. Honestly, I don't know who that is. I'm getting some of these names wrong.

I do apologize. If I hadn't included you, it's because I just haven't written down your name properly. No.

So I'm going to go back and have a look to see if there's a name that I'm clearly not writing down properly. Well, anyway, we got DK, Jenny, Emily, Linda, Helen, Mari, Viola, Naomi, Linda, Helen, Juicy, Susan, Mari, and Paul. Yeah, so thank you.

This is, I just wanted to say I've not ever gone really, generally don't go through the stats. I go through stats, but these are stats that I don't generally kind of look through because it's very laborious as far as I'm not putting it all down. And I just wanted to say a big thank you because it's helped me to feel a bit more gratitude as well, and maybe realized I'm not just talking to myself.

I know I am, but sometimes it can feel a little bit like I'm just, I know it might sound weird, but sometimes I feel that people are coming across my podcast by accident and then just moving on. But of course, that wouldn't happen continuously every day and continually grow, would it? So yeah, that's, I mean, I'm sure it does happen. But so just I purchased a couple of things today on Amazon because my plan, I have a plan is to try and improve my, I want to improve the quality of my recordings.

So I already have some microphones, which used to be able to go into the laptop with the USB. And I used to be able to do stuff. But unfortunately, with a laptop, they buzz.

I mean, I've never had a quiet laptop in my life. And because I overused them, and they stopped working after a while, because I do have them on for long periods of time, which I suppose I shouldn't, I should turn them off. But I have them on for, I have a tendency to just put them, leave them on for weeks, and just put them on to sleep.

So they're still on, or maybe just close the lid, they're still on. So I can just continue whenever I want. If I wake up, I can just get on there and do a bit of work.

Anyway, it gets picked up by the microphone. It wouldn't if the microphone was perhaps in a different room, or you know, it was like a professional setup. So I kind of gave up on it a little bit.

And that's partly why I've been recording my podcasts on either my phone. And then on this tablet, I'm doing it on for the last probably two years, actually. So yeah, probably two years, I'd say, maybe longer.

And I started thinking, how can I get a better quality sound? Because it's just me, isn't it? It's just me talking. But I was thinking, well, okay, there's got to be a combination of ways of doing it. I've got some equipment that I've purchased over the years, which maybe combined will give me a better setup.

And maybe I can easily use the tablet, or use the iPad. Or what I'm thinking of is ideally use the iPad, but also have it recorded on the tablet in case the iPad cuts out, or the software, the app stops working for whatever reason. So I've got a backup, so I don't lose what I'm doing.

And that has happened quite a few times. So it'd be nice to have that backup. At the moment, even though the iPad is top of the range, it's like the newest one that they had.

I've had it about two months, I think. And paying it monthly for the next four years, I think it is. Which is, it's okay.

I'll be 55 when it's paid off. But the microphone, in my opinion, isn't great. It's not as clear as here.

So I'll still be using the same microphone, but in there. Has to have an adapter, because it even has a different adapter to the to the iPhone, you know, new iPad does. What I can't just have the same adapter.

You know, it's just makes everything complicated. So I'm the same error a lot. So what I'm going to do is what I did, is I looked at a way for me to start using to see if any of the Rode microphones I've already got, will be able to get attached to the iPad, and then use the app that I've got, which is the audio recording audio editor.

And if I need to maybe purchase a more professional app, you know, like Adobe, Abode, Adobe, Adobe. So I might look at that, but at the moment, try and do what I've got. Because Adobe is, it's like monthly, like 40 pound a month or something.

And something set it up and you get lots of other things with it. Which I don't mean, I know it's like 10 pound a week. You know, it's, it's not a lot when you break it down daily, but, and I would be using it a lot.

I just need to find if I can do the software I already have, because I was using Audacity for years and that was free. Well, I did buy a disc as well. I almost, not felt guilty, but because I've been using it for for that 10, 9, 10 years, I thought, you know what, I'm going to buy a disc.

It was about six pound, 10 pounds, something like that. But I'm going to buy a disc and actually get the most up-to-date version. It probably wasn't up-to-date actually.

The most up-to-date version was probably the download on their website. I felt I needed to give them some money because I've been using it for so, used hundreds and thousands of hours worth of recording on it. And I still got a disc, but it's no good, of no use with an iPad.

So what I've got, what I ordered was this. If I could just see what it is and I can tell you what it is. Why is it telling me what it is? Okay.

It's a USB-C to HDMI adapter, mock in six in one USB-C hub. This might not mean anything to you, but it doesn't mean that much to me, but I can't even know. It's for the MacBook Pro 2020, which is what I've got.

Also 2019, 2018, MacBook Air and iPad Pro 2020. No, I haven't got a MacBook Pro, I've got iPad Pro, MacBook Pro. Wish I did have a MacBook Pro, that'd be cool.

So it's $19.99. So it was discounted and it's with Prime. It's free delivery. That's going to be in Monday.

So what I can do with this is, it allows me to plug in, let's have a look. So it goes into the power or the adapter, like the little place, the lightning thing where you charge the iPad. And then out of that is an adapter, which has six holes.

One, two, three, four, five. One, two, three, four. It says six in one, but I can only see one, two, three, four, five holes.

Maybe there's a hidden hole. So it allows for... What does it allow for? I know what I've got it for, but I'm still going to look. Okay, so you've got, you can connect it.

So I can connect this to my hard drive. I can connect it to anything, I guess, like I'm trying to think. With the USB, anything with USB.

Let's have a look. What else? I can connect it to... The reason I've got it, you can also put in a disc, like a mini, what's it called? Disc thing, the little ones, which is like a little hard drive as well. So you can store stuff on there or transfer stuff onto the iPad or take it off.

And I'm trying to think what other things there are. You think I should have looked into it, really, shouldn't I? Let me see if it's actually says, it's got to tell me. Okay.

This adapter is a great complement for your USB-C new laptop. Not a laptop. With this adapter, you can stream, extend video to your monitor, projector, TV, your HDMI port from your laptop, and you can use two super far... It's going on about laptops and the picture that I... Oh, oh, oh, don't tell me.

USB. Please. Compatible.

I don't tell me I bought the wrong thing. I think I might... No, no, no. USB.

Oh, I think I might have bought the wrong thing. You can stream, extend video. MacBook compatible lists.

iPad. What? Now it's saying different things there. iPad Pro 11.

Does not support M.A.N.T. Nexus, LG, Pixels. But it says compatibility list. Mac Pro models, MacBook Pro from 2020 and down.

iMac Pro, iPad Pro 11, and iPad Pro 12.9, 2018. Now, my iPad Pro is 12.9 inches. I'm not bragging, but then further up there, it does say iPad Pro 2020, doesn't it? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

I'm going to find out Monday. That's going to be annoying. Important note, our adapter is 4K 60Hz, but please confirm your laptop monitor.

Your laptop monitor could support 60Hz first and use HD. Enjoy new video experience. Mirror or extend the laptop phone table screen to TV monitor or projector directly.

That could be useful, actually. Yeah, that could be really good because there's some stuff that I get. Boxing is an example where I can only watch it online, but there's no app on the TV.

So I can only watch it actually on the screen. But it doesn't give me the option to share it with the Apple TV. So if that gives me the option to maybe connect to the television, then that would be groovy.

Yeah. Superior data storing versatility, speed up to 104 megabytes a second. This is very fast.

Download, you know, converting and moving stuff around. I sound like I know what I'm talking about. I don't know.

No more worries about the wireless and keyboard lag. New remote, really? Without any lag for wireless devices. Weird? I don't know.

I didn't read all this about it. I just wanted to be able to put the microphone in. That's the only reason I've got it.

Wow. Features and details. USB-C adapter.

Expand your USB-C devices into six ports. HDMI. Card reader.

MacBook Pro. Enjoy crystal clear 4H. Mirror or extend your screen of USB-C hub HDMI port and directly stream 4K UHD or full UHD video to HTTV monitor or projector.

Perfect for photographer and video editing or editor for a stable connection. Do not use it with high power consumption devices like Apple USB superdrive. No more lag for your wireless mouse and keyboard.

I don't have a mouse, but I do have a keyboard. This USB-C Mac dongle will provide you with a USB 2.0. Okay. Allows you to connect wireless keyboard and mouse and won't cause lag and other USB 3.0 port allows you connect keyboard, mouse, hard drive.

Oh, so I can get myself a mouse. Mind you, I don't want a wireless mouse anyway. I was going to have a mouse with the lap with the iPad.

I wouldn't want it connected to a wire, but I don't really, sometimes having a mouse would be easy, easier, especially I'm used to the keyboard, a laptop, you know, the mouse. I haven't used like a visual, like an actual physical mouse. I don't mean a real mouse, but like on the mat, I've not used any of those, something like that since, wow, long, long, many, many years ago.

Well, actually, no, I suppose the last time would be six years ago or five years ago when I was working in the office. So any offices with PCs had mouses or mice. But personally, I haven't had a, last time I had a computer, you know, with a monitor and separate big old thing and, you know, a tower and, you know, hard drive.

Used to keep the little mouse and all the wires all connected and stuff. The last time, I think it was 2004. So yeah, 16 years.

Well, there's lots of different versions of this that I'm getting and none, okay, this one is quite expensive, but most of them are fairly like 20 poundish. There is one which is 50 pound, but I wasn't looking, oh, can you believe this? Oh, okay. It says, is this compatible with my iPad 12.9 first generation? Answer, I have not tried, so I can't speculate, but I don't know.

Well, worst case scenario, I've just wasted 20 pound. Well, there's another, I've got another route into this. I have a Rode microphone.

I'm just going to get it. It's in the box. It's a little bit creaky.

This is an on camera shotgun microphone that I bought a couple of years ago. It doesn't have to be used on a camera. It can be used, because I tried to use it with a camera, and it just didn't work.

With the camera, I kind of had the wrong camera or something. My mistake, but, oops, the right, do you ever get stuff that the right is just too small? And I think, well, how can anyone read it? I've got my reading glasses on. What I need is a microphone, not microphone, microwave, no, closer, magnifying glass, that's it.

I need a magnifying glass and my glasses in order to see this writing. Although I'm now about to read it, so I'll just prove that I don't, but I'm just saying it's very, very small. I'm kind of balancing it just to try and get so I can see.

So it's a VideoMic Pro on camera shotgun microphone. Well, that's what it says, but I've looked into it and I realized that possibly, possibly, I'm going to put this down. Possibly, I can use that to plug that into the tablet that I'm using now.

And, you know, that's, that's 150 pound microphone. The microphone I'm using here is about 14 pound. And this is, it's a good microphone.

It's just, it was the wrong one for what I needed it for. So, and then the camera got only, only filmed half an hour, but I did do some filming with it. But what was annoying is the, the iPhone actually was pretty much equal picture quality.

But saying that, and I said this, I said this last year, when the summer comes, I'm going to go out with my camera and take some beautiful pictures. And I didn't do it. But I got a little bit sidetracked with some of the stuff that's been going on.

However, with autumn coming, I might actually get the camera out, figure out how to take pictures, you know, properly. And I might start taking some pictures just as, and use them as part of images that I, that I make in the future. Like nice backgrounds, you know, like the field.

And it's my stuff, it's stuff that I've took photographs of, as well as Andre, take some really nice pictures of him. And if the camera's around my neck, like with a strap, I haven't got to worry about dropping it. But with the phone, you know, I've got Andre, I'm trying to balance the phone.

And the amount of times the phone slipped out on the end. Not this, this one so much as the older one I had. And I was determined when I got this newer phone.

Because whenever I get a phone, I'm stuck with it for at least two or three years. So I want to look after it. I don't want it to be damaged or cracked or anything like that.

For me, that's just not acceptable. I don't like it. And so there was a point to watch that.

Yeah, I want to do something like that. I tell also something. In fact, the camera probably was better quality.

But I look awful. It was, it was a little bit too close. I looked a bit, you know, it was high definition bit too.

Not sure about that. But I would like to take some videos of like a tree blowing in the wind and maybe making some like that and then having a audio over the over it. And I don't know if those record if the videos are still on my YouTube channel.

But the stop smoking course I did actually had videos of flowers. And I put the camera in the, it was a video camera. And I put the video camera in the garden of where I was working.

I was indoors, but I left the camera on a tripod. And because it was light, it was summer, the light was perfect, everything, perfect conditions. The camera buzzed a bit, but it didn't matter because I was added my voice over the picture of the video.

And one of the videos is just got like a nice yellow flower. And this bee is kind of coming over the just keeps lens and keeps landing back on it. Very lovely.

So yeah, I was I took it out. I remember once I took it to these fields. Not so much like not fields as in like planting food kind of fields.

And they're just like a ground big I don't know what you want to call them. But I didn't realize it was famous for certain activities. Just didn't know about it.

It was literally it was behind where I just moved into. So I went up there. And it was like an early evening on Sunday, probably about six o'clock.

And I set my camera up to film a tree. Generally, it was windy. The tree looked beautiful.

And I thought, I'm just gonna sit stand it or sit on the grass or whatever. Maybe make a phone call, you know. And I had the tree.

And I had the whole of the tree right from the grass all the way up to the the top of the tree and just blowing beautiful. So it's quite a quite distance away. And then some bloke walked up to the tree and sat down in front of the tree.

And someone else came out of some bushes and said, What are you doing? It's like, what? What are you doing? Why are you why are you with a camera? I said, I'm filming a tree. What does it look like I'm doing? Why are you filming a tree? And I said, it's not really any of your business, is it? I said, it's really weird. It was strange.

And the weird thing about it is, all these men were gathering to meet each other in bushes for, I don't know, chats or whatever it was they were doing. Tea and biscuits, maybe they had flasks. Jammy doughnuts.

Who knows what, you know, tell each other they were playing snap, you know, card games, poker. And I was the weird one because I was filming a tree. I was the strange one, my behavior was unusual.

The fact that I wasn't lurking around in bushes. I'm so honestly, it was, I looked around, and his head kept popping up. Like meerkats.

Seriously, it's like kept popping up looking and then get not crouching down again. I got scared. So I left.

I was like, wait a minute, there's something wrong here. I should be able to just stand here and film a tree. I mean, perhaps if I took my trousers off, I'd have been accepted.

I don't know. Hasn't worked in any other situation. But so I've got that microphone, which I was going to test with the tablet, but it hasn't got a battery in it, which is good because the battery might have melted the insides of it.

So there's no unless the battery did melt and disappeared. Probably not. So I couldn't find the battery.

So I went to the garage to get the one battery they didn't have, of course. I think I ignored the lady there as well, because the door was locked. I went in there, the door was locked, I couldn't get in.

And then she went around the camper and undid the door. Normally, she's really friendly to me. I said, did you see me coming and you locked it? She said, no, I was in the toilet.

I got a little bit scared. So I just sort of went off crying. And so what I did is I've ordered, I should be getting that thing tomorrow.

He says Sunday, she began the adapter said, I'll be able to see when I can put the camera, camera, the other microphone into the iPad. The battery, I've ordered a battery, which was £3.99 or something. Come on.

£3.39 free delivery. And it was £2.61 saved 44% saving. £3.39 Yeah, cool.

So actually, that's coming on Monday. So that's good, which means there's two ways I can test it tomorrow on the iPad with the other mics. And then I can test with that microphone, the VideoMic Pro on Monday.

So I'm hoping, hoping, hoping, hoping, hoping, hoping, hoping that between tomorrow and Monday, I should have found a way to get a better quality sound. And the better quality sound will, the result will be less editing. Because I don't edit what I've said out of the recordings.

Although perhaps I should sometimes but I don't. The only editing that I really do is the weird sounds that happen. And maybe if I do an extra whistle, I'll do an extra whistle while I'm talking.

And I may might think that it's like really windy and I've got the windows open. It's not. It's just me whistling as I talk.

Though I do have two, two missing teeth in the bottom of my left and the back of my mouth. You can't see them. They're missing.

Of course you can't see them. They're invisible. You can't.

You can't see even if I smile. I don't know how to smile. I'm pretty much upper teeth only when I smile.

Some people, I know it's a lot of politicians seem to talk with their bottom teeth sticking up when they talk. I'm just trying to do it. Maybe that's the way, if I do that, that's how I sound.

And pushing my bottom teeth up changes the way that I sound when I talk. It changes my accent as well. I can't seem to do that.

I've got quite, I've got quite small little teeth really, I suppose, at the bottom. I haven't got particularly big teeth at all, generally. So I used to have, before I started doing coke, I've just got little stubs now, little nibs.

Now I don't know if I've ever had very big teeth, they're quite small. When I went to the dentist and they did an x-ray, I've had a few problems with the dentist in as far as not being able to open my mouth very wide. And I just can't do it.

My jaw won't open very wide, just naturally won't. I don't know why that is. But they put an x-ray, I have to put that like metal thing inside my mouth, the plastic or metal or whatever it is.

It's really difficult for me. It's really, and then I was having, I think, one of my teeth extracted or a filling or something. And the lady, no, she kept moaning at me.

The dentist kept moaning, saying, you need to keep your mouth open. I said, I can't. You need to keep it wider.

I said, that's as far as it goes. Unless you've got a clamp to keep it open, which I think she did in the end, I can't open it any wider. That is as wide, that's my head.

This is my genetic makeup. My mouth does not open very wide. I don't have an openable jaw.

I'm not a snake. It just won't. It's very, quite firmly set.

I don't know if that's the right word. Inflexible, maybe. I didn't know that if I talk like that, I shouldn't fucking try and talk normally.

I feel that I might actually, actually, okay, I'm just going to talk exactly the same as I normally do, but with my bottom teeth sticking up. So this, I'm just talking exactly normal. This is what happens to my voice when I do that, when I stick my bottom teeth up, like a politician in the House of Commons, sticking my bottom teeth up.

I do wonder, see, I'm not on television, and if I was on television, I would definitely do something about how I looked. I'd be really careful, you know, I would, I'd make some changes, I'd have some cosmetic changes before. But one thing is, I'd had my teeth, I couldn't go on there and have some of those politicians, their teeth are awful.

But they're showing them. I hide them. Use your lips, you've got lips.

Yeah, I want you to see my bottom teeth eroding in front of your eye. Look at them. Flossing, I don't know what that means.

Yeah, so what I thought I'd do, finally, for the last boring little thing, is it take too long, I probably won't do this. Oh, I've done it. No, I haven't done it.

The reason I haven't done it, because it's a huge job. But okay, let's see if I can do it. I'm going to add up, and this isn't correct, because I could only go back as far as 2014 on Amazon.

And I've been buying stuff on Amazon since, what, 2004. So that's 10 years missing. From 2006, I was getting stuff for this, you know, what I'm doing now, including laptops that I've had to buy, and software, and other things.

But I could, I've only got it back to 2014. And there's a lot of books. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to, and I'm only including hypnosis books.

So anything that is educational, which helps me to provide the services, things like, you know, textbooks on the subject that I use, or courses that I go on, or have been on. I've not included any of that either. So I'm going to miss out the books, and just go through the actual things that I've purchased.

Okay. So just to give you an idea, this is just since the last six years. All right.

So an audio booth. It says it's 2014. Audio, this is before I moved here.

Should we just, actually, no, should we just go from since I've been here, the last five years, that'll make it nice. So Dragon NaturallySpeaking, 185, 17. And some of these things I've had help to buy as well.

So as I said, I'm going to miss out the books. There's quite a few books, I'm going to miss that out. The Road Mike, 142.95. 142.95 plus Focusrite Scarlet thing, which is an adapter.

That was 99 plus there. There's a lot of books. Wow.

Okay, so this is software that I got. So it is the Adobe Photoshop, 45.99. 45.99 plus Core Video App, Core Video Software, 45.12. That's editing. So videos.

There is the Another Road Mike, which is 135. Plus Mike Stand, 1949. Plus, okay, a Logitech webcam, 59.99. Logitech headset, 32.49. So I got a laptop, HP laptop, 240.

240 plus, I think that was reconditioned, I'm not sure. A Tascam recorder, power supplies, 7.49. 7.49 plus Tascam recorder. That's a digital recorder, 198.

198. Plus, a SanDisk drive thing, a little disk, 1286. 86 plus.

Focusrite YouTube mic. And that's a thing that I could put the, it didn't work very well, so I had to stop using it. But it was, it plugged the iPad into it, and it let you use it as a mic.

Because the microphone, the external microphone on an iPad, a DI phone rower, has never been particularly good, really. For some reason, they've never been given, some picture quality is great, but the audio has never been great. So that was 44 pound, 44.

Plus, cables, 6.99. I think that was for the microphones. Another thing, isolator or whatever, 22.99. I do know what it is, but I can't remember how to describe it. Rode Video Mic Pro, which is the thing I was talking about, 149.

30 pin adapter for the iPad, 6.95. Audacity Studio Disc, 549. Okay. Magic Music editing software, 32 pound, 9 pence.

Last page. So, USB repeater extension, so that's 8.99. Logitech webcam case, 9.99. Camera tripod, 13.90. Another mic. Oh, this is the small mic, the one I'm using now.

So, I've had three of these. The first one I got, and then I got two others. Yeah, it says 14.95, so three of those.

14.95 plus another laptop. Is that one more off? This is over five years, by the way. So, the other one was a 239, 239.97 plus... I'll miss some of the stuff out that I also got, but I've got soundproofing times by five.

22.95, 22.95. These are the soundproof things. I had a lot of them. So, yeah, I think I must have ordered... It's probably way more than that if I look back at it, because I've got about 100 or so.

Anyway, I'll just stick to what I've written down. I've got a soundproof phone by... Times by 10, which is 88.80. Take away, plus 88.80. Okay. Another soundproofing by 2, 1776, plus 1776.

Mobile hold... Oh, yeah, headphone jack, 249, 249. Mobile phone holder with a light lamp for the YouTube videos, 14.89, 14.89. USB adapter for the iPad, 19.99, 19.99. FNL cable for the iPad, 429, 429. That's so I can plug directly into the internet without wireless.

It makes it quicker. Oh, no, the FNL iPad adapter and FNL cable, two different things. Okay.

13.99 for the iPad one, 13.99. It's very good, though. It works lovely. A mini mic, 14.95, which is the one I'm using, 14.95. Printer paper, 21.79. So I'll just leave that out.

Let's see. I'll just leave that away. Soundproofing times 10, 59.99, 59.99, plus soundproofing by 10, 59.99, 59.99, plus take away, 59.99, because Oh, dear, dear, I've lost it.

Just the last two things and I've completely lost the whole thing. Well, it was over 2000 pounds anyway. It was, yeah, well over 2000.

And then you've got the iPad Pro, which is 1716. I'm going to be paying for that. The iPhone 954.

And then you've got the catalog stuff that I bought. So the magic, the keyboard for the iPad was 199. Apple Pencil was 119.

The Shed was 224. And the tablet that I bought a couple of years ago was 650, I think. So that's another by Cybergrand, 2003.

So I'll head in. What other things that I'm missing? 2003. Yeah, probably over 3000, if not three and a half thousand pound over the last.

Although admittedly, I haven't paid for the iPad or the iPhone. That's just going to be continuous. I do use them for this.

And then there's the monthly stuff that I pay out. Wow, I just thought, I thought it'd be interesting to sort of get my head around how much, you know, this is just for the last five years. It's 10 years before that, where I bought stuff and paid for, you know, so much.

And I've missed out all the books as well that I bought. So there's a lot, you know, that's probably another few hundred pound, I suppose. Wow.

It's kind of weird, you know, when you see it in person, see in person, you kind of see it in front of me thinking, behind me. However, some of this stuff I didn't pay for. You know, it was gifted, maybe it was an Amazon gift card or something like that.

And then I went and used that to buy what I bought, the Dragon Naturally software. That was a gift. The camera, Boston and a few other people helped me to pay for that.

And I will be using it. I did use it. In fact, I use it for some videos.

And it's you know, still there. I just got, it's something I think what it is, is because I've moved away from videos. I hardly ever make videos anymore.

And part of that is because I don't know how I look. I never did. But I just kind of, I don't feel I feel a little bit self conscious when I'm doing a video.

I'm distracted by myself, by my face. Not that there's anything wrong with my face. You know, I'm not being horrible about myself and just, I find it easier to just be myself when I'm making a recording.

And living with that little ferret down there, I have to pick my times when I can make a recording. And so if I want to do a deep sleep whisper, he's fast asleep in here, I can sort of creep into the bedroom, and I can make a recording. Maybe I can go into the shed, maybe I'll just do on the bed, depending on what kind of sounds are outside.

You know, and I can maybe do a couple of recordings in that time. But if I was going to set up a video, and all that stuff, if he interrupts the video, I'm kind of a little bit buggered. If he interrupts the audio, I can put, I can just press pause and I can edit it.

It's less easy to edit a video when it's based upon the audio. Because you know, with video, I'm still saying, close your eyes. So it needs to flow.

And it also needs to sync in with the video. And you can't do that. So if I, well, I suppose you can do it, but it wouldn't, it wouldn't sync with, it wouldn't just wouldn't work.

So if I'm standing, sitting on my bed, talking into the camera, recording myself on the tablet, audio, and Andre comes in and starts banging into the tripod and jumping up at me, I can just stop talking as I hear him approaching. And I can just let it keep running until he calms down and runs away and keep talking. Or I can press pause.

But with the video, that's going to keep going. You know, it's just, I don't know. It makes sense to me what I'm saying.

It do, you know, it makes sense to me. Oh, yeah. So my diet hasn't really been going great.

Or you could say it's non existent. But I'm very much feeling positive about it. And I've been taking some vitamins.

And I've started taking these. It's a tablet that you put into water. And it's like a vitamin, like orange, vitamin C. It's really nice.

And I have one of those every day, every morning. I've also started taking those biotic drink, those little drinks that you take, that you might not take, but you know, it's supposed to be good for your gut. So I've been taking one of those every morning.

My name used to take them. And I used to take them years ago, probably 2005 time 2006. So it's kind of getting back to a routine of that.

And I think the vitamins, it's given me something a little bit, a little bit more energy, a little bit, I think. And I've been eating the more slim fast snack bars rather than chocolate and stuff. So I'm eating something as a snack that's got 95 calories in it, plus it's got protein.

So it's tiny steps. I'm not a rusher. I don't rush generally into anything.

I take my time. But I have been thinking about some things I'd like to do. I'd like to do more.

I'd like to do more to help. I'd like to, I don't know what, in sort of this, what I do here. Maybe it's reaching more people.

I'm not sure. But it's, I'd like to get my life a bit more structured, a bit more organized and start setting myself some goals. Because at the moment, I do have goals, but they're kind of in my head.

I don't write them down. And I don't, it's almost sort of, my goal is to get, to have as many downloads as possible, to make as many recordings as possible, which isn't really a goal. You know, I need to have a goal of, I'll make one deep sleep whisper recording every day.

And if I did that, you know, it's just the way it goes. If I don't make any recordings, like yesterday. What day, what's the time? I don't know what the day is.

As far as I'm aware, I didn't make any recordings yesterday at all, on Friday. And then I didn't make any recordings Saturday, which is today, but I've just kind of come to the end. So this is the only recording.

Admittedly, it's a Saturday, so I generally have less people listening on a Saturday, and a Sunday to the rest of the week, just the way it goes. It was almost like I'd made four recordings yesterday. On Friday, even though I didn't make any, because it was still like 4,700 or nearly 5,000, I think, stats.

Yeah, did you say stats? Yeah, I know I don't normally mention them, but I thought, for a laugh, for a laugh, I'll mention the stats. So it's quite weird. I know I've got more.

So Friday, I've got 5,441 downloads. Saturday, I've not even got 3,000 yet. It's just, yeah, it's the way it goes sometimes.

But if we go back, I know. I know what to do. I know what to do.

What? Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, 22nd. Okay, that's not a good example. Got 5,480.

It's Sunday, the 16th, 3,744. Anyway, I mean, basically, August. No.

Okay. This week's been pretty good. So the 23rd, which was Sunday, 23rd, 5,464.

24th, Monday, 5,495 downloads. 25th, which was a Tuesday, 5,735. Wednesday, I'm not sure if I made any recordings.

Yeah, I did one recording at the end of the day, like the live broadcasting. So I've got 4,426 downloads. Thursday, 27th, 5,342.

And then Friday, yesterday, 5,441. But today, three downloads. No, just under 3,000.

So, and for those who are interested, or two of you, it's now a race between three podcasts to be number one. Now, at the moment, as far as downloads, overall downloads, so number one is Dehypnosis for Sleep and Deeply at 337,012. Second place is Sleep Insomnia Hypnosis, 317,192.

But in third place, and really the racing, racing, racing ahead of everyone, but still behind those two, is Relaxation Hypnosis for Stress and Anxiety, 311,406. Now in fourth place is Deep Sleep Whisperer at 244,530. Fifth place, it's us, it's here, Let Me Body to Sleep Podcast, 180,371.

So we're fifth. But it's a nice fifth, you know? It's a lovely fifth, don't you think? So the overall in the last couple of years is 1,708,116. So yeah, it's all right.

We're doing all right, I think. Don't you think? No, generally. Let's get an idea how this month's gone.

So I think it might have slowed down. It might not have done, I don't know. Let's have a look.

Okay. So there's still two more days left. So I've had 133,040 downloads in August.

Last month, I had 139 in July, 288. So 133,480. So it'll be 120,141, probably 145.

So yeah, it will be about 5,000 or 6,000 more than last month. That's okay. Because, for example, this month so far, 133,040.

If you go back 11 months to last September, 60,827 throughout the whole month. So yeah, it's doubled, more than doubled. So based on that, 200 and it's going to be about 145.

So 140, at least 140 something. So that's 140. So 280,000 by next August, a month.

So that's 280, 280,000, did I say? It's 3.3 million, 3,360,000 divided by 365, and it's 9,205 a day. 365 divided by 52, 64,650 in a week. Andre, can you do a big poo, please? Is that okay? Thank you.

Oh, is it just a wee wee? Are you going to give me cuddles? You're so beautiful. You're so warm as well. I like cuddling you.

I do. I love cuddling you. My favourite thing in the whole world.

It's sad, I know, but it still is. Cuddling you and smelling you. I think it's so lovely.

Andre, you're so beautiful. You're so beautiful. Yes, you are.

Yes, you are. Oh, today I got a, I had to order a new carpet cleaner. It's on the catalogue because I won't even go into details, but the carpet needs cleaning, really, really needs cleaning.

I need a new carpet, but I have to make do with the one I got for quite a while yet. So it came through today. I was waiting all day, the last two days, waiting for it to get delivered.

So tomorrow, or Monday, I might not do it tomorrow, but tomorrow or Monday, I want to get started. And I've determined that every week in certain parts of the carpet, I'm going to use the cleaner once a week and make sure that this place is just nicer. You know, it's up to me, ultimately.

He won't do it. I've asked him, but he won't do it himself. I think he said to me once, he said, my job is to make the mess.

Your job is to clear it up. You know, he did a big fart and ran off, didn't you? Okay, baby boy, you're okay. Okay.

He's been sleeping on my bed quite a lot lately. I'm not sure why. I think it's because maybe it's got a little bit chilly at night and he likes to cozy up.

Not so much to me, but I think he likes to be in the bed. I'll wake up and he's there. Okay, say goodbye to everyone.

I'm going to go and Andre is going as well. So remember to be kind to yourself because, are you going to say Andre? He whispered it to me. He said, be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy.

Lots of love. Bye.
