Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland and this is Let Me Bore You to Sleep. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. So I hope you're well and the point of this podcast, and I've done, how many have I done so far? Let's have a look on my website.

Let Me Bore You to Sleep. 233 recordings so far, so this will be number 234. So also, you know the Deep Sleep Whisper Hypnosis recordings for that podcast.

I've got 152 recordings on that one. It's not bad, is it? In fact, it's rather groovy. So what I thought, yeah, the point for this podcast is these are boring sessions.

It's exactly that. It's just me talking about stuff and sometimes by focusing your mind on something like my voice talking about nothing particularly important, it can be a nice little distraction. It can be a bit of light relief.

It can be company as well and you get to just be bored to sleep. To sleep is exactly what it says. Also, there's, the more you listen, the probably potentially the less that you get to hear because you'll just, the part of your brain responsible for you falling asleep, which is, incidentally, according to neuroscience and you know the latest studies, the part of your brain responsible for you going to sleep is the same part responsible for the automatic processes in your body, which means it doesn't need any conscious help.

Just like your breathing or your blood pressure or your heartbeat or your kidneys, liver, digestive system, blood flow, all that stuff. Although that stuff can be affected by your mind or by what you think, you can, things like blood pressure and things can be lowered. Blood flow can be lowered.

You know, so someone has a cut with hypnosis, you can reduce the blood flow so that it doesn't bleed. You know, bleeds less. You can almost unblock and move some of the blood around the body.

So if you've got maybe a bit of a compression in your head that's given a headache, you can just allow that flow to go through your neck, from your brain. So it's a bit easier. So it just feels nicer.

So the headache goes. So there's definitely ways using biofeedback machines and stuff, you can reduce and change how you feel in the bodily processes. I don't necessarily know how to do it anatomically, but I do have a great belief in belief, if that makes sense.

So if you spend time every day, five or 10 minutes every day, focusing and imagining in that your stomach is relaxing. And for example, if someone had, what's that thing, you know, the stomach issues, any kind of like physical issues in the stomach. And I imagined, you imagined every day for 10 minutes, that healing energy is entering that part of your body.

Then, and you believe that it's going to help, and you do it every day, you will feel comfort. Of course, this is not and can never be offered as an alternative to medical, professional medical help. Apart from the fact that I think it's illegal, but it's also a bit immoral, because everyone needs to choose for themselves and they need to take what's best.

I mean, I'll be honest with you, I can get rid of a headache. If I had my own headache, I can get rid of other people's as well. But I can get rid of my own headache if I have one.

And I rarely have headaches. I don't like them. So I don't allow them in very often.

So I can get rid of them with, you know, hypnosis, with focus. However, taking a headache tablet is a heck of a lot quicker and easier. And maybe partly it's because when I do get a headache, it's usually not terribly bad, but it's not a nice, it's not just like a regular thing.

And I struggle to focus a little bit, to be fair, when I've got a headache. But sometimes taking medication is the correct thing to do, I suppose. I'm not a doctor, so I don't know.

Andre. So I'm sitting at my table and Andre's, yet again, hassling me. He's on the table now.

What do you want, baby? What do you want? It's five past three in the morning and he wants me to take him out for a walk. And I'm not going outside at this time in the morning. No way.

Not on my own anyway. I might go out if my friend weren't with me, but I'm not going out this time in the morning in the pitch black. There's no street lights on at all.

Just so he can have a little sniff and rub himself over everything, which is what he wants to do. Give me kisses. I love you too.

Yes, I do. Yes, I do. You go down, you have a little play around and go back to bed.

Smelly belly. What was I saying? Oh, medication. I'm not really talking about medications.

I don't know why I'm talking about that. He's now about to make love to his girlfriend. Lucky little thing.

So that's what this website is that the podcast is about. It's just basically me talking about stuff. And I think it's an understatement to say that sometimes I go off on a tangent.

I do lose my train of thought. Or to be fair, it's not so much losing my train of thought, it's following my train of thought. And I end up in a very different place to where I started.

So I generally don't really have a destination in my mind when I first pressed the record button, because I rarely end up there. I mean, an example, and I was still surprised. So a couple of weeks back, I was going to do a tour of the flat.

And I didn't get any further than the front door. And I started talking about something completely different. I genuinely was going to do a tour of the flat.

Anyway, what I am going to do is give you a tour of my website. After mentioning a couple of little things. First of all, there are no adverts on any of my podcasts.

I put them back on recently for a couple of weeks, and now they're gone again. And they won't be returning, as far as I'm aware. I've taken them off completely.

I have gotten rid of all websites except one, which is jasonnewland.com. So I got rid of all the other websites. And the only podcasts I've got are the ones on Spreaker. Although they're shared on other places, I got rid of the SoundCloud one, and the podcast.co one, and various different things there.

So I'm trying to sort of reduce the outgoing a bit. So now the outgoing is about 30, 60, 70, probably 70, 75 pounds, between 70 and 80 pounds a month now, is the amount that I'm paying for to provide this free hypnosis service or free sleep service or whatever. So I do have a link, support me with PayPal.

So if anyone wants to help to pay towards those costs, it's always, I've had a bit of help over this year, and everything is really helpful. And I'm not a charity. I'm not begging, you know, so I'm not an official charity.

I'm not a business either. I'm just offering a free service. And I'm, what am I? Yeah, I'm, I'm me.

That's who I am. So there. So what can I do? Do I give you, I'm going to give you a tour, a tour of my website.

So jasonnewland.com, all of my recordings are on there. So I'm going to look at the website on a laptop. So I can't give you a tour of the website.

So that's what I'm going to do. Of course, it will look a little bit different on, I don't know, the iPad or tablet or phone. But this is what it looks like on the website.

And so look on the very first page. Let's have a look. I'll tell you something, I really do sometimes wonder how to use the laptop.

Because sometimes all I want to do is just go up or down on the bar, the navigation bar, and suddenly the page gets bigger. I don't want the page to get bigger. So the website is, so look, see Andre is in the kitchen, making lots of noise.

Yeah, again, in the background. But tomorrow, my shed arrives, which is going to be my recording studio, which should hopefully be soundproofed. Which means no more being disturbed when I'm making a recording.

No more background sounds. No more distractions. Especially for the other recordings I do where I really do need it to be quiet.

More so than when I'm making these recordings. But I suppose people listening, you're kind of used to hearing him pottering around and being naughty in there. But that should be all be sorted.

So here we go, got the website. At the top of the website, there's a picture of me and Andre. Picture of me, it looks like I've got tiny little arms.

Honestly, it's because of the way the angle of it. He's at the front. And I look like I'm, I look actually really slim.

And he looks big. So it's a bit of an out of proportion photograph. But the main thing is he's in it.

I wanted him, it's a lovely picture of him. And going down, I've changed the title for this page. It just says Jason Newland, and then 1,084 free hypnosis mp3 downloads in brackets since 2006.

So that's how many recordings are on the website, available to stream and to download. And then I've got a thing in red that says total podcast downloads since November 2018, 499,441. And I change that regularly to keep updated.

So I don't know what it is now. 499,441. If I do refresh, it's now 499,476.

So tomorrow, possibly before I even get out of bed, I'll have reached the half a million mark, which I'll be very pleased with. Now my friend has given me a chair. It's not the chair I'm going to use, but he's trying to give me a chair to put into the shed.

So that I can sit, you know, I've got something to sit down on. And the one he's brought in isn't really suitable for what I want to do. But I'm gonna, I'm gonna get another one from him that he's got.

But we left this one up here for now. Andre's loving it. He's trying to use it to get onto the radiator and then to onto the shelf, the windowsill.

But he can't quite make it. It's not quite working for him. I've seen him attempt it quite a few times.

And when he gets up, because it's all slanted, so when it gets up to one bit, he slides down it. So he's turned into some kind of amusement ride for him. So yeah, so that's the total podcast downloads.

And that's just, I'll update that a couple of times a day really. So tomorrow it'll be 500,000 and yeah, probably 502,000 probably tomorrow. So then I've got a list of tags.

And I haven't worked a lot on the tags. So I need to put a bit more effort into that. As OCD, acceptance, anger, binge eating, confidence, emotional pain, forgiveness, gratitude, guilt, internal dialogue, lose weight, nail biting, phobias, relationships, safety, self esteem, self harm, sexuality, smoking, tinnitus and vomiting.

Okay. So there's a few different... Andre's really annoying me. You're really annoying me, mate.

You really are. Yes, you are. Why can't you go to sleep? Why can't you just go to sleep? Huh? The way he is though, he's fast asleep for hours.

But when he's awake, he's awake. Aren't you? You smell lovely today. You smell lovely.

Yes, you do. How about sleeping lovely as well? Would you do that for daddy? Would you go sleep sleep? Would you go sleep sleep for daddy? One of the things he quite likes is his hands. He likes to have the bottom of his hands because he's got these pads.

Not a writing pad, but like these little pads or whatever on the top on the bottom of his hands. He likes to have them pressed gently and straight. Sometimes he'll just lay there and let me do it for ages.

He really likes it. It's almost like reflexology, I suppose. And I move around each one of his fingers.

Each one of his five fingers. And each finger has a little pad underneath. I do a little massage of that.

And then there's a pad in the middle. And then there's two pads either side. Then there's another little pad just underneath the little finger.

And there's a little pad on the heel. I wonder if he has the same on the other hand as well. Let's have a little look.

I've got to take my glasses off for this. Yeah, he does. In fact, no, that pad underneath.

He's got exactly the same on the other. Considering he's running around and all that and like getting the dirt when we go out. His feet are surprisingly clean.

They feel really nice. They're like little... Actually, I want to say really nice. They look like warts.

So technically, they don't look very nice, but because I know they're not warts, I don't mind touching them. They're just cute, cute little feet, cute little toes. And he's just laying there to let me play with him.

Aren't you? Why do you like that so much? And then when I put my hands on his feet, his feet automatically curl up and grip my finger. It just automatically does that. It's like part of his automatic system, you know, like sleeping for us.

Well, I guess sleeping is automatic for him as well. But it doesn't happen with his fingers and his hands, but his feet automatically just grips. Don't you? Go on, go away.

So what was I going to say? Yeah, so I got this website. He's now run off. And I've got a little bit of information about the website.

Because I saw them, the door people or window people came around about at least a month ago. And they said it would be five weeks they'll contact me within. So I reckon, as it's the 8th of October 2019.

I reckon I'll have a new door before Christmas. They're like being a nice little Christmas present for the flat. And also those doors are proper sturdy.

They're really, really sturdy. There's, then I have quite a few different locks all in one. So that'd be cool.

On the website, the menu's at the top of the page. I know that on the, on your phone, it'll be, yeah, it'll be different. There'll be, they still have a menu, but just as a basis of scrolling down and choosing it from the way it's, it's a different kind of navigation, isn't it, on a phone.

It just gives you, you can just, it's just nice to sort of a quick, a quick place to go to, to see what's the latest that I've done.

So then click on categories. Again, I've already read out the categories for you. But this gives you an opportunity just to go to that page.

So everything's a bit bigger, and it just lists down the categories and the recordings on each category. So I don't know how many categories are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40. So I think I might have missed a couple out because I was doing it from vision.

And it's just says gift me at the front at the top. See, trying to like, let people know I'm not a charity, I'm not business. I was trying to look at a way of making it into a business, but without charging anything, which is very difficult to have a business where you don't charge any money.

So yeah, but I didn't, I probably would have cost me the same amount of money, maybe even a little bit less, but I couldn't, I didn't have that much to pay out in one go. It's a lot of money, isn't it? It's just to pay out in one go.

I've got a beard. I haven't really written a lot. I just put like basic stuff.

So it says my approach. I class myself as a person-centered therapist. I aim to help as many people as I can through my online MP3s and podcasts.

I believe that everyone is different and an individual. My story. I began studying hypnosis in 1998.

Since that time, I have trained with a few colleges. I trained in NLP, neuro-linguistic programming, and also gained a degree in counseling in 2010, BA honours. In 2006, I started this free online hypnosis service, producing over 1000 hypnosis videos and MP3 downloads.

So I don't allow... I've had one testimonial that came through a while back, and I just read it. And there was a couple of good points. So I took it on board.

But I didn't submit it because I didn't really want that stuff. Because what's the point in having... What's the point? If you come to my website and it says, absolutely crap, rubbish, there'd be no point, would there? It'd be... It just... Especially, I'm not trying to sell anything. So I'm not, you know... And everything, all the testimonials are legit.

So when I built the website recently, I did add testimonials from people who have already added them. People who have added testimonials on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube. So they're all public places and other places that they're there, available to be seen publicly, as well as what people have added themselves.

And I didn't... I've not added any private messages as testimonials, because I get a few of those, where people tell me how what I'm doing is useful and helpful. But I never add those as testimonials, because unless someone at least says I can do that, it's a personal message. So I don't share that message with other people.

In my constant research to find pain relief, I researched into hypnosis. Quite by chance, I came across a website from a hypnotist called Jason Newland. His hypnosis sessions are completely free, and you can do these sessions on your computer, or do what I did and download to an MP3 player if you have one.

Like others have said, hypnosis doesn't work for everyone, but I do recommend you give it a try, and best of all, it won't cost anything, lol. If it doesn't help the pain, it is still great for relaxation, something which we all need in our stressful and often pain lives. Jason has lots of different hypnosis sessions on his website.

Keep an open mind. I tried a couple of other hypnotist sessions online, but didn't like the sound of their voices. I found Jason's voice very relaxing.

And that's Jenny. And the next one, thank you for helping me to stay asleep. I've been listening to this podcast for a few months, especially when I'm having trouble staying asleep.

My back pain has always screwed up my sleep and I can't even remember what it was like to sleep for 8 hours straight. In June, something happened and the diagnosis was PTSD. Since then, my sleeping has been practically non-existent.

I wake up every half hour when I do sleep and altogether, at least, at best I sleep approximately 2-4 hours. Last night, I came across your videos on YouTube and decided to give it a try. This morning, when I woke up, I was very emotional that I actually slept more than I ever had in 10 years.

And that was called, the title was Mind Power Can Beat Pain. And they interviewed me doing a session with a client when I used to offer free pain relief in Ipswich. Now the next page is a gallery.

Admittedly, I've not looked at this for a while. So I need to kind of look at it and probably make a few changes. And there's probably too many pictures on one page, but that's fine.

It's just basically Andre, really. The next one, next page is called podcasts. And it just lists all the different podcasts.

So I'll click on the top 28. Podcasts, 28-day stop smoking hypnosis course. And it lists lots of different podcast hosts where you can actually go to their page and listen to that podcast.

So I've got Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Castbox, Stitcher, Overcast. There's quite a few. And I've got the same set up for each of my podcasts.

And then the next page is podcast stats. Podcast stats for all Jason Newland's podcasts since November 2008. So at the top it's got 2019 and below that 2018 in a list.

So I click on 2018. It says in December 2018, total downloads 7,248. In November, so the month before.

So the first month of the podcasts was November 2018, 2,175. December, 7,248 total downloads. And if I click on November 2018, it takes me to another page, which lists all the podcast downloads for each day.

All the way up from really the 21st was really the first day, but I had a few downloads on the 20th. 54 downloads on the 15th of November. The first download was the 12th of November.

So that's kind of for that one. But then if I go back to podcast stats, I go to 2019. Then it shows you a list of months.

So January 2019, 21,607. February 2019, total downloads 29,920. March 2019, total downloads 35,287.

April 2019, total downloads 57,391. May 2019, total downloads 51,574. June 2019, 45,506.

July 2019, total downloads 78,142. August 2019, 72,407. And September 2019, 80,165.

And October 2019, not available yet, because we're only into the eighth day. So that won't be added until the end of the month. So if I click on January 2019, it lists all the downloads for each day.

I've gone through every single day of the year so far. So I started off the 1st of January with 344 downloads, and I ended up with 762 downloads for the 31st of January. So February 2019, I ended up on the 28th of February, 1,114 downloads.

March, by the end of March, 31st of March, I had 1,363 downloads. So it's kind of going up. End of April, 30th of April, 2,616 downloads.

End of May, a little bit less. I wonder where that is. 1,204 downloads.

31st of May. This isn't so good because it's June. June is very low.

Why is it so low? Yeah, very low June. 1,171 downloads on the 30th of June. I've got a few days where it's over 2,000.

So this June is just a slow month. July. 31st of July, 2,311 downloads.

And then August. The last day of August was 1,199. That's not giving a good representation.

I had most of the days in August were over 2,000. Some over 3,000. September.

Again, I don't know why I'm choosing the last day of the month because it seems to be quite a low number. 1,882 was the last day of the month. Isn't that weird how the last day always seems to be quite low compared to the rest of the month? The best day in September was the 6th of September, 2019.

I had 5,113 downloads. I also had more days. I had 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. 7, 8, 9. Nine days.

Ten days, in fact. But nine days I had over 3,000 downloads. June, September.

So that's the podcast stats, really. That's everything. That's the whole website.

So just... I don't even know why I put the podcast stats on there. I just like to... I like the transparency, I think. I just like to... It also kind of keeps a record for me so I can have a little look and hopefully see it grow because I like the idea of, in a year's time, looking at it and seeing 10, 12,000 a day.

Looking back and thinking, wow, remember when I only got 3,000 a day? I just think that's groovy. That excites me. Anyway, I've been talking for way too long.
