Hello, welcome to Jason Newland dot com. My name is Jason Newland. This is Let Me Bore You to sleep.

It's kind of a new series, or season, or other word that means the same thing, of sleep sessions. And I do talk quite softly, because I find that talking softly when making sessions to help people go to sleep is mildly better than shouting. I do talk quite quietly, so I guess the only warning really, apart from only ever listen or watch my sessions when you can safely close your eyes, would be just to make sure that whatever device you're listening to this on, whether it's YouTube or Spotify, maybe even iHeart Radio, wherever, just ensure there's not going to be some kind of advert, because sometimes the adverts would be way louder than the session.

I had that problem a few years back with YouTube, where I'd be whispering or doing, you know, very low, quiet, soft talking, and then there'd be a an advert at the end of it, with someone, I don't know, trying to sell cheese, but in a very loud way, maybe even dressed as an elephant, I don't know, but I guess that's not really so important. But I think now the main thing is just to concentrate on my voice. And you know what, this session, this recording, isn't just here to bore you to sleep.

Now, there's more to it. It's about being able to sleep more comfortably at other times, when it's time for bed, because you might be lying down in the afternoon, maybe desperate for some sleep, but maybe you've only got an hour or two before you've got to go and do something else. Maybe you've had to set your alarm, because you need to go to the toilet in a couple of hours.

You may be very organised like that. Might be in your diary, two o'clock bowel movement, 5.30 prepare dinner, seven o'clock, satisfying fart. Some people are very, very organised.

I'm not so organised, but I'm getting a little bit more structured in what I do on a daily basis. I'm trying to anyway, trying to get just a structure to my daily life. These sessions are also part of that for me.

To record them. And I didn't really intend to do these daily when I started. And I might not continue to do them daily.

But at the moment, that seems to be the way it's going. And I record these sessions first thing in the morning, which may seem a bit strange to record a sleep session in the morning. But this is what I'm, I guess, most awake.

And also, you can hear my voice is croaky. First thing in the morning, my voice is croaky. More than it would be, you know, in six and a half hours, for example.

Quarter to five this afternoon. My voice would probably be like this. There'd be no croakiness at all.

And everything would be so smooth. But at the moment I can't be asked to pronounce my words correctly. Although hopefully I am.

But I kind of don't care how I sound. I'm giving away my little secrets. The secrets of the online sand man.

I was going to be doing these recordings back in 2006. Some people used to call me the sand man. I never understood it.

I thought, oh great, is it because my skin looks like sandpaper? But it wasn't that. It was, I thought, does it look like my, because my belly looks like it's just full of my little big bag of sand. But no, it wasn't that either.

And it's basically because I still don't actually know where the character comes from. But some mythical character called the sand man that would send people to sleep. So I guess I I looked it up at the time on, I guess, Wikipedia or something like that.

And that information didn't really stick with me. Maybe it's because I am sand and it's hard to stick to sand. It could be like one of those sand in a, not an hourglass.

So is it, you know, those things, you remember the Wizard of Oz where the Dorothy is being held by the witch and she turns that thing upside down and it's got a sand, it's like a sand timer and the sand moves down to the bottom. I'm not really sure what other reason there was for me to mention that other than I couldn't think of anything else that related to sand other than that. Well, I had a sandwich the other day.

So it's sand, well, it didn't have sand in it. But I don't know if you've ever been to the beach. I mean, just generally, but in the summer when I was a kid, go to the beach and remember eating the sandwiches and they really did have sand in them.

I remember looking at all the other people on the beach and they were looking at each other with the same look as if to say, you know, here we go again. I can't believe that Jason's parents keep giving him sand sandwiches. It's bad enough that sand gets in the sandwiches, but just to give just sandwiches just of sand.

How cruel. It didn't happen really. I felt like it did though sometimes.

You better said it's not easy to eat either. Perhaps I shouldn't have eaten it. I appreciate the ice cream afterwards though.

Again, no sprinkles, just sand. Your chocolate flake, but that was when dogs were allowed on the beach. It tasted horrible.

Nothing like ordinary chocolate flakes should. It's weird. Never understood that.

So the point I'm making, other than there is no point to what I'm saying, but the point I'm making is that you can listen to me now, and you can drift off to sleep now. You can also have that part of your brain, that part of your mind stores this feeling, stores this feeling, this readiness, this ability to just relax, to just completely let go, because you deserve to feel relaxed, because you deserve some decent sleep, because sleeping is the most natural thing in the world. Breathing, breathing, breathing, breathing, breathing.

pooing and sleeping. There are four things we all do, regardless of what senses we have available.

So if somebody's maybe blind or deaf or has missing limbs or unable to walk or talk, they still have to breathe, they still have to eat, they still have to breathe, they still have to eat, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, they still have to breathe, living on your own or if you're not bothered about that stuff but my bedroom could fit two and a half double beds possibly three double beds along along the yeah sort of width or length whichever way you call it I think yeah I reckon you could fit five double beds in my bedroom three going one way and two facing long ways perhaps I mean I've no way of really knowing because I'm not prepared to buy five beds just to test out a theory that I guess that I'll be honest with you I'm not emotionally attached to the outcome of that theory that I could fit five beds five double beds in my bedroom there's no payoff that feels worthwhile that would cover the energy and the financial cost of buying another four beds but what would be the point I hope you're feeling okay today I hope you're feeling well I hope you're feeling relaxed I'm feeling I'm feeling okay I think it's a bit strange though recording these just after I've woken up because I want to go back to be to bed now I really just want to go back to sleep because you think about it yeah my boring voice and relax and you know when you listen to me you can feel just the wish for your body and mind and everything just to let go easily and I do believe that this is the end of this this is me me saying goodbye to you speak to you next time bye bye
